0:00:10 > 0:00:13So how would you convince the love of your life

0:00:13 > 0:00:16the lure of a promised land is worth doing it for a second time?

0:00:17 > 0:00:21Adrienne Gormusoglu is desperate to make the move to New Zealand.

0:00:22 > 0:00:25I want to be in that weather, outside.

0:00:25 > 0:00:28I want to see my children doing more outside.

0:00:28 > 0:00:31But husband Ismail would prefer to return to his Turkish homeland.

0:00:31 > 0:00:33I don't want to live in New Zealand.

0:00:33 > 0:00:36If I have a chance, I'd live in my country.

0:00:36 > 0:00:39When a trial week in Auckland tests their relationship...

0:00:39 > 0:00:41- You don't understand... - I do understand.

0:00:41 > 0:00:44This is the main garden over here.

0:00:44 > 0:00:46..will Adrienne's dream live or die?

0:00:46 > 0:00:49I will change our lives for the better if it kills me.

0:01:13 > 0:01:16Consisting of more than 600 islands,

0:01:16 > 0:01:19New Zealand is home to spectacular glaciers,

0:01:19 > 0:01:22picturesque fjords and lush, subtropical forests.

0:01:25 > 0:01:29Every year, 7,000 Brits are drawn by the nation's stunning scenery

0:01:29 > 0:01:33and an annual average of 2,000 hours of sunshine

0:01:33 > 0:01:36and jet off to make the country their new home.

0:01:38 > 0:01:42Adrienne Gormusoglu is bored with life in the UK

0:01:42 > 0:01:45and feels the pristine environment and outdoors lifestyle

0:01:45 > 0:01:49offered by New Zealand could benefit her entire family.

0:01:49 > 0:01:54Having already crossed continents for her once, however, husband Ismail

0:01:54 > 0:01:58doesn't fancy putting their lives and relationship on the line again.

0:01:58 > 0:02:02So will a week in Auckland show him there is merit to Adrienne's dream

0:02:02 > 0:02:05and it's not just the result of a midlife crisis?

0:02:06 > 0:02:11The Gormusoglus' trial week begins with a journey lasting over 24 hours

0:02:11 > 0:02:15which sees them touch down in three different countries

0:02:15 > 0:02:18before a final leg to Auckland.

0:02:22 > 0:02:26Having arrived at last, Ismail is glad it's all over.

0:02:26 > 0:02:30We left home on Friday morning. This is Sunday.

0:02:30 > 0:02:33We are still travelling. It's really long.

0:02:33 > 0:02:35Do you understand? It's too long.

0:02:35 > 0:02:39Adrienne and Ela too found the flights tough going.

0:02:39 > 0:02:41At one point if somebody had said,

0:02:41 > 0:02:43"Do you want to turn back and go the other way?"

0:02:43 > 0:02:46I quite possibly would have taken them up on the offer.

0:02:46 > 0:02:47Every time we stopped it was like,

0:02:47 > 0:02:49oh, we have to go back on the flight again.

0:02:49 > 0:02:52And Eurim, he's exhausted.

0:02:52 > 0:02:55I can't walk any more. I'm tired.

0:02:55 > 0:02:58It's not the best of starts.

0:02:58 > 0:03:01The arduous flight has put Adrienne's dream on the back foot.

0:03:01 > 0:03:05I have to say that New Zealand has to show something

0:03:05 > 0:03:07pretty magnificent because of that flight.

0:03:07 > 0:03:11She will have a tough job on her hands if she is to persuade Ismail

0:03:11 > 0:03:14New Zealand should become their permanent home.

0:03:18 > 0:03:20Meet the Gormusoglus.

0:03:20 > 0:03:22They're dad Ismail, mum Adrienne,

0:03:22 > 0:03:2411-year-old Kamuran,

0:03:24 > 0:03:26nine-year-old Ela and four-year-old Eurim.

0:03:28 > 0:03:32Adrienne and Ismail have, let's say, a tempestuous relationship.

0:03:33 > 0:03:37We have a very up and down, difficult relationship.

0:03:37 > 0:03:40But we get through it, don't we? Or kind of!

0:03:42 > 0:03:44He won't look at me!

0:03:44 > 0:03:47Being a real case of when opposites attract.

0:03:47 > 0:03:50We are absolutely two different people.

0:03:50 > 0:03:52In character, in thinking.

0:03:52 > 0:03:54We don't have too many common things.

0:03:54 > 0:03:58It means their relationship is often volatile.

0:03:58 > 0:04:00We really get on each other's nerves.

0:04:00 > 0:04:03I can wind him up in a second and he does for me.

0:04:03 > 0:04:07I don't think we really realise how much we hurt each other.

0:04:07 > 0:04:09I hate him!

0:04:09 > 0:04:11No, I'm only joking!

0:04:11 > 0:04:16Ismail was running a B&B in his home country of Turkey in 1995

0:04:16 > 0:04:20when a chance encounter with Adrienne changed his life.

0:04:22 > 0:04:24She was just a tourist.

0:04:24 > 0:04:27It was an odd little place with terrible facilities

0:04:27 > 0:04:28and things like that.

0:04:28 > 0:04:30But it was good fun.

0:04:30 > 0:04:33Adrienne and her friends fell in love with the Mediterranean country

0:04:33 > 0:04:36and made plans to return there the following summer.

0:04:37 > 0:04:41So we said to Ismail, can we stay in your little B&B before the season starts?

0:04:41 > 0:04:45And then Ismail said, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

0:04:45 > 0:04:48And I said, "Can I stay in your place for free?" And he went, "Yes."

0:04:48 > 0:04:50I said, "All right then!"

0:04:50 > 0:04:52So it was kind of like that.

0:04:52 > 0:04:55Ismail put on quite a welcome at the airport.

0:04:55 > 0:04:58He was completely naked apart from the tiniest pair

0:04:58 > 0:05:01of jean shorts you could ever see in your life

0:05:01 > 0:05:04with the top button undone and rolled down as well.

0:05:04 > 0:05:07I mean, literally, you could see everything.

0:05:07 > 0:05:11It was ridiculous. He just didn't care. I just went, "Oh, my God!"

0:05:11 > 0:05:14- All right, all right! - But we had fun. It was good fun.

0:05:14 > 0:05:15And then I ended up just staying.

0:05:15 > 0:05:20After seven carefree, sunshine-filled years, the couple married.

0:05:20 > 0:05:22But when Adrienne fell pregnant,

0:05:22 > 0:05:25she decided she would rather be back in the UK.

0:05:25 > 0:05:27I got a bit panicky and said,

0:05:27 > 0:05:31"Look, maybe we should consider going back to England, see what it's like."

0:05:31 > 0:05:34She brought me here. I thought it was for a couple of years.

0:05:34 > 0:05:36Then we had...

0:05:36 > 0:05:41After the first child we had the second one and a third one.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44I stuck England nearly 12 years.

0:05:44 > 0:05:47Sacrificing everything he knew in Turkey to settle in the UK

0:05:47 > 0:05:49proved a struggle for Ismail.

0:05:50 > 0:05:53I changed all my things, all my life.

0:05:53 > 0:05:56She doesn't have to change anything.

0:05:56 > 0:05:58And he still misses his old life.

0:05:58 > 0:06:03In my country, I had many nice, good friends. Everything was wonderful.

0:06:04 > 0:06:08But that's life. I live in England now.

0:06:08 > 0:06:11Nearly 12 years after returning to the UK,

0:06:11 > 0:06:13Adrienne has got itchy feet once again.

0:06:13 > 0:06:17Life at the moment in England is pretty boring.

0:06:17 > 0:06:20I think that you get in a routine and for me,

0:06:20 > 0:06:22it's about changing that routine.

0:06:22 > 0:06:25It doesn't matter how you change it but you have to change it.

0:06:25 > 0:06:28Recent family losses have made Adrienne

0:06:28 > 0:06:30take stock of what's important in life.

0:06:31 > 0:06:35Over the last nine years, we have lost nearly all of my family.

0:06:35 > 0:06:37We have lost Mum.

0:06:37 > 0:06:39I'm going to get upset. Sorry.

0:06:40 > 0:06:42And, erm...

0:06:42 > 0:06:43my brother passing.

0:06:43 > 0:06:47He was full of life. He loved life, you know.

0:06:47 > 0:06:48And....

0:06:50 > 0:06:52So you have to think about that. You have to enjoy your life.

0:06:52 > 0:06:54Don't you?

0:06:59 > 0:07:01Now she has set her heart on another big move,

0:07:01 > 0:07:04this time to the other side of the world.

0:07:06 > 0:07:09The main reason I want to go to New Zealand

0:07:09 > 0:07:11is because I think there is something missing.

0:07:11 > 0:07:15I think probably when you speak to most people that have lived abroad,

0:07:15 > 0:07:17they never lose that bug.

0:07:17 > 0:07:19Although she has never been,

0:07:19 > 0:07:23she believes New Zealand could offer her family a better lifestyle.

0:07:23 > 0:07:26We all miss the sun. You know, we all miss....

0:07:26 > 0:07:27I'm talking.

0:07:27 > 0:07:29We all miss the sun.

0:07:29 > 0:07:33We all miss, you know, doing things out and about

0:07:33 > 0:07:37and I want to be in that weather, outside.

0:07:37 > 0:07:40I want to see my children doing more outside.

0:07:40 > 0:07:42It's mainly for them, I would say.

0:07:42 > 0:07:46The children aren't sold on the idea.

0:07:46 > 0:07:48I would miss everyone.

0:07:48 > 0:07:53All of my family. My friends. Deep friends.

0:07:53 > 0:07:54My cat.

0:07:54 > 0:08:00I want to stay here because my cousins live here in Kidderminster.

0:08:00 > 0:08:04I just think... I'm just in the middle.

0:08:04 > 0:08:07But the greatest opposition to a move comes from Ismail,

0:08:07 > 0:08:10who still hankers after his Turkish roots.

0:08:10 > 0:08:13I don't want to live in New Zealand

0:08:13 > 0:08:18because I want to end my life with my original family.

0:08:18 > 0:08:19Mother, sisters.

0:08:19 > 0:08:22If I have a chance, I would live in my country.

0:08:22 > 0:08:26He is also concerned a move could cripple them financially.

0:08:26 > 0:08:30We go to New Zealand, leave the country, and we will be happy. I don't believe that.

0:08:30 > 0:08:33If you don't have enough income, you won't be happy.

0:08:33 > 0:08:35But he could be willing to admit defeat

0:08:35 > 0:08:38if he believes the country offers more opportunities.

0:08:40 > 0:08:42What will be good for my children, I would do it.

0:08:42 > 0:08:45I try to keep this family together and I will go.

0:08:45 > 0:08:49Starting again in New Zealand could mean potential heartache

0:08:49 > 0:08:52for Adrienne, as she would be split from her sister.

0:08:52 > 0:08:55She is so worried that when I go for that trial week

0:08:55 > 0:08:58that I'm going to say, "I'm going to New Zealand."

0:08:58 > 0:09:01She's convinced I'm going to say it because she knows I really want it.

0:09:01 > 0:09:05But she is determined to see her dream come true.

0:09:05 > 0:09:08I will change our lives for the better if it kills me.

0:09:15 > 0:09:19The Gormusoglus are spending their trial week in Auckland,

0:09:19 > 0:09:21New Zealand's largest city.

0:09:21 > 0:09:24Their temporary home is a three-bedroom house in Orewa,

0:09:24 > 0:09:28just a short stroll from one of the country's most popular beaches.

0:09:30 > 0:09:33After the long flight, they are pleased to make themselves at home.

0:09:33 > 0:09:37Even if the excitement has proved too much for some.

0:09:37 > 0:09:39Is it a soft sofa?

0:09:39 > 0:09:41- Oh, not bad.- Just relax.

0:09:45 > 0:09:47Let's go and have a look.

0:09:50 > 0:09:53A quick tour reveals some extras designed for Kiwi living.

0:09:55 > 0:09:58Oh, wow! That's amazing.

0:09:58 > 0:10:00Look, there's a shower!

0:10:00 > 0:10:04It's good because summer is hot. It's for summer.

0:10:04 > 0:10:06Look at that view!

0:10:06 > 0:10:08That's amazing!

0:10:08 > 0:10:11Having explored their surroundings,

0:10:11 > 0:10:14Adrienne admits she's got a cunning plan to get Ismail on side.

0:10:14 > 0:10:17I hope I can persuade Ismail silently,

0:10:17 > 0:10:22trying to make it all his idea, how nice it would be to live here.

0:10:22 > 0:10:25But it sounds like he's not going to have the wool

0:10:25 > 0:10:27pulled over his eyes that easily.

0:10:27 > 0:10:29She try to make me convinced.

0:10:29 > 0:10:32When she is pushing me, she is losing. It's no good.

0:10:32 > 0:10:35I am a logical guy. I have to think through everything.

0:10:35 > 0:10:38And he's not the only one she will have to work on.

0:10:38 > 0:10:42New Zealand is really nice but if I had to choose out of the two,

0:10:42 > 0:10:44it would be England.

0:10:44 > 0:10:48Adrienne's dream will live or die over the next few days.

0:10:53 > 0:10:56Back in the UK, the Gormusoglus live in a three-bedroom

0:10:56 > 0:10:58terraced house in Worcestershire.

0:10:58 > 0:11:02While it may need some TLC, it's a home Adrienne's happy with.

0:11:02 > 0:11:07Love the house. Really love the house. It needs a lot of work.

0:11:07 > 0:11:10It's got a really nice shed for Ismail, so he's happy.

0:11:10 > 0:11:12When it comes to a house in New Zealand,

0:11:12 > 0:11:14Ismail doesn't really get a say.

0:11:14 > 0:11:16For me, I can't say anything.

0:11:16 > 0:11:18She will decide because as usual,

0:11:18 > 0:11:21if I say that one, I know she will say that one.

0:11:21 > 0:11:24And Adrienne certainly knows what she wants.

0:11:24 > 0:11:28Somewhere that you will have to see trees.

0:11:28 > 0:11:30Parks have to be available.

0:11:30 > 0:11:33Something for the children where we could walk out of our house

0:11:33 > 0:11:35and go on a pleasant walk somewhere.

0:11:35 > 0:11:37It has to have a good school.

0:11:37 > 0:11:39and a nice community feel.

0:11:42 > 0:11:45To find out what kind of house they could have in New Zealand,

0:11:45 > 0:11:48today we will show the Gormusoglus three properties.

0:11:52 > 0:11:55Two near to their £200,000 budget

0:11:55 > 0:11:58and a third which could be their dream home.

0:11:58 > 0:12:02Only after they've seen each one will they find out its value.

0:12:02 > 0:12:03For their first viewing,

0:12:03 > 0:12:07the Gormusoglus head to Papakura, to the south of Auckland.

0:12:07 > 0:12:09A tightly knit neighbourhood,

0:12:09 > 0:12:12it could be the perfect spot for the family.

0:12:13 > 0:12:16But will this three-bedroom, recently renovated house

0:12:16 > 0:12:19be the one to sell Adrienne's dream to Ismail?

0:12:19 > 0:12:21- Is it this one then?- Yes.

0:12:21 > 0:12:25Even before they get out of the car, Adrienne's not feeling it.

0:12:25 > 0:12:30- Right. It's like a caravan type house.- That's what I said.

0:12:30 > 0:12:31At least it's sunny.

0:12:31 > 0:12:35Luckily, the interior gets a better reaction.

0:12:35 > 0:12:36Oh, this is nice.

0:12:36 > 0:12:39It's nicer than it looks outside. In you go, Kamuran.

0:12:39 > 0:12:41Quite nice so far.

0:12:41 > 0:12:44The kitchen goes down well.

0:12:44 > 0:12:47I like the kitchen.

0:12:47 > 0:12:50But outside, Ismail's plans for the garden soon see tensions rise.

0:12:50 > 0:12:54The shape is all right but it's no good when you've got children

0:12:54 > 0:12:56because that goes out onto the road.

0:12:56 > 0:12:59We can put a fence there. Put a little gate.

0:12:59 > 0:13:01But the door is not here.

0:13:01 > 0:13:04Your children would be around the side of the house, is what I mean.

0:13:04 > 0:13:06The door is around that side.

0:13:06 > 0:13:09- Are you going to put a door in here as well, then? - A little gate, I said.

0:13:09 > 0:13:11No. Into the house.

0:13:12 > 0:13:17They can walk down. Take this one off because we don't need it.

0:13:17 > 0:13:19Yes, we don't need it!

0:13:19 > 0:13:21Of course we don't need to see our children in the garden!

0:13:21 > 0:13:25Put a new gate and then the main part of the garden will be here.

0:13:25 > 0:13:26Come on then.

0:13:26 > 0:13:28Oh, dear.

0:13:28 > 0:13:31Back inside, can the bedrooms help restore some harmony?

0:13:31 > 0:13:33There is just no character.

0:13:33 > 0:13:34Ouch!

0:13:34 > 0:13:37And while Kamuran likes the light aspect of the next bedroom...

0:13:37 > 0:13:40- It's quite a bright room. - This is good.

0:13:40 > 0:13:42..the family bathroom gets a mixed reaction.

0:13:42 > 0:13:44Oh, yes. This is nice.

0:13:44 > 0:13:48It's nice. I like the decoration, but it's small.

0:13:48 > 0:13:51You've got a massive basin like that in a tiny room like this.

0:13:51 > 0:13:55And Adrienne puts her foot down.

0:13:55 > 0:13:56I don't like it.

0:13:56 > 0:13:59I wouldn't leave my house in England for this.

0:13:59 > 0:14:03So despite this house falling way short of Adrienne's mark,

0:14:03 > 0:14:07would they be able to afford it with their £200,000 budget?

0:14:08 > 0:14:13£120,000. Maybe a maximum of 130 or 140. That's it.

0:14:13 > 0:14:18I think it's going to be more like £180,000.

0:14:18 > 0:14:21I hope not, because if this is what we can afford,

0:14:21 > 0:14:24it's a bit disappointing, isn't it?

0:14:24 > 0:14:28If it was 180,000 then it's going to put a complete downer

0:14:28 > 0:14:30on the rest of my week.

0:14:35 > 0:14:39All right. Turn it over. One, two, three, do it now!

0:14:41 > 0:14:44That's £4,000 over budget.

0:14:44 > 0:14:47Auntie Cam's caravan is better than this and that was 30 grand.

0:14:47 > 0:14:52I feel really, really disappointed. I could cry.

0:14:52 > 0:14:55I hope the two next houses will actually make me

0:14:55 > 0:14:58a bit more excited and make me feel like yes, we should move here.

0:15:01 > 0:15:04It looks as though Adrienne's going to be hard to impress.

0:15:04 > 0:15:07Will the next house meet her high standards?

0:15:07 > 0:15:10To find out, the family head 20 minutes further south

0:15:10 > 0:15:12away from the city to Pukekohe.

0:15:13 > 0:15:15Outside, the omens aren't great.

0:15:18 > 0:15:20They are very friendly people, aren't they,

0:15:20 > 0:15:22because they like to live on top of each other!

0:15:22 > 0:15:25In the living room, there is a glimmer of hope as one

0:15:25 > 0:15:28of the items on Adrienne's wish list gets ticked off.

0:15:30 > 0:15:33It's got a park there. At least you can feel a bit of space behind.

0:15:33 > 0:15:36But whilst Kamuran's trying to stress the positives...

0:15:36 > 0:15:39I like the carpet. The walls are nicely done.

0:15:39 > 0:15:42..his mum can't help but see negatives.

0:15:42 > 0:15:46It's another caravan though. I can't do a happy face.

0:15:46 > 0:15:49Like the other one, it is built in somebody's back garden again.

0:15:49 > 0:15:51It's like a caravan.

0:15:51 > 0:15:54The size of the kitchen disappoints everyone.

0:15:55 > 0:15:58This is small for us. Really small for us.

0:15:58 > 0:16:01Especially when you are cooking,

0:16:01 > 0:16:03you are moving around and we will just get in your way.

0:16:03 > 0:16:06I would be grumpy all the time instead of just occasionally.

0:16:06 > 0:16:08And in one of the four bedrooms,

0:16:08 > 0:16:12even the window frames are again failing to meet Adrienne's benchmark.

0:16:12 > 0:16:15I don't like the metal windows and everything.

0:16:15 > 0:16:17It's a bit smaller than ours.

0:16:17 > 0:16:20They are making me anxious. I want to leave the property.

0:16:20 > 0:16:23Even Eurim's had enough.

0:16:23 > 0:16:26- I want to go home. - Yes, I feel the same.

0:16:26 > 0:16:29The garden does give Ismail good vibes.

0:16:29 > 0:16:32This garden gives me a family house.

0:16:32 > 0:16:35The atmosphere, you know. I could live here.

0:16:35 > 0:16:39It's better than the other house, however,

0:16:39 > 0:16:41if you don't look over the fence.

0:16:41 > 0:16:43It's over.

0:16:43 > 0:16:46It's clear this isn't the house for Adrienne either.

0:16:46 > 0:16:49But would it be within reach of their £200,000 budget?

0:16:52 > 0:16:54£210,000. 210.

0:16:54 > 0:16:56215 or slightly over.

0:16:56 > 0:16:58I think it's a bit more.

0:16:58 > 0:17:04I think it will be 220 because the area, it appears to be nicer.

0:17:04 > 0:17:07- I think it's going to be cheaper. - How much?- 185.

0:17:11 > 0:17:12Come on.

0:17:17 > 0:17:20That's £8,000 under budget.

0:17:20 > 0:17:24- You were right, Kamuran. - Well done, Kamuran.

0:17:24 > 0:17:27This house isn't right, but you could go up maybe 10 or 20,000

0:17:27 > 0:17:30in the same area and get something a little bit better.

0:17:30 > 0:17:33It has definitely given me a bit of hope that there could be

0:17:33 > 0:17:37a property out there in Auckland that we could afford.

0:17:39 > 0:17:43With Adrienne's disappointment lessening a little,

0:17:43 > 0:17:46could property three be the one to convince the whole family

0:17:46 > 0:17:48New Zealand's where they should be?

0:17:49 > 0:17:52We've found what we think could be the family's dream home.

0:17:52 > 0:17:56Situated in Parau, this four-bedroom house lies nestled in the bush.

0:17:56 > 0:17:57Ooh!

0:17:57 > 0:18:02On arrival, everyone seems much more enthusiastic.

0:18:02 > 0:18:06It's lovely, isn't it? It's massive!

0:18:06 > 0:18:08Nice neighbours.

0:18:08 > 0:18:11The modern kitchen gets a great reaction.

0:18:11 > 0:18:13Unusual, isn't it?

0:18:13 > 0:18:16It's an extra table.

0:18:17 > 0:18:19- You can put everything in here. - I love it.

0:18:19 > 0:18:21And Eurim's happier.

0:18:21 > 0:18:24Much better than the other one.

0:18:24 > 0:18:25The spacious living room

0:18:25 > 0:18:29with sliding doors onto a large, decked area is a real hit.

0:18:29 > 0:18:31- Wow, this is nice.- It's huge!

0:18:31 > 0:18:34- Stove. And big, yes.- This is nice. - Yes, it's nice.

0:18:34 > 0:18:37You could eat out there, Ela. There you go.

0:18:37 > 0:18:39Ismail seems sold.

0:18:39 > 0:18:42This is my house. I'm not joking.

0:18:42 > 0:18:43As does Ela.

0:18:43 > 0:18:46It would be lovely if we could actually live here.

0:18:46 > 0:18:49The property offers the views Adrienne wanted.

0:18:49 > 0:18:53Look at that view. You couldn't get another tree in there if you tried.

0:18:53 > 0:18:57This is all different. It feels really good.

0:18:57 > 0:19:00And Ela's already arranging her furniture in one of the bedrooms.

0:19:00 > 0:19:04- I would have my bed there. - Like this way.- Yes, that way.

0:19:04 > 0:19:09And then I would have my chest of drawers there.

0:19:09 > 0:19:12Adrienne's as good as moved in.

0:19:12 > 0:19:16Let's forget that awful journey home and just stay.

0:19:16 > 0:19:17Yes, why don't we do that?

0:19:17 > 0:19:20And the lush garden is another winner.

0:19:20 > 0:19:22It's lovely. Super.

0:19:22 > 0:19:24This is amazing.

0:19:24 > 0:19:27You feel you are in another country now.

0:19:27 > 0:19:29It's a house everyone could call home

0:19:29 > 0:19:33but could they afford it with their £200,000 budget?

0:19:33 > 0:19:38I think it's going to be about £280,000.

0:19:38 > 0:19:40250, 260.

0:19:40 > 0:19:45- I'm going to say about 280. - I think about £340,000.

0:19:49 > 0:19:51Are we going to turn the card?

0:19:53 > 0:19:56It's £87,000 over budget.

0:19:56 > 0:19:57But...

0:19:57 > 0:20:01I'm really happy. It's not unrealistic.

0:20:01 > 0:20:05What's making me so happy, more than the price, is Ismail saying

0:20:05 > 0:20:07he's really enthusiastic.

0:20:07 > 0:20:10This house, which is what I want,

0:20:10 > 0:20:14I could live the rest of my life here.

0:20:14 > 0:20:16I feel like wow, this is amazing.

0:20:16 > 0:20:20I am even picturing my children going on the bus to school.

0:20:21 > 0:20:23Despite a disappointing start,

0:20:23 > 0:20:27the Gormusoglus' day house-hunting definitely ended on a high.

0:20:30 > 0:20:33Property one felt too much like a caravan,

0:20:33 > 0:20:35lacking in size and character.

0:20:35 > 0:20:37Property two failed to win approval

0:20:37 > 0:20:41with its small kitchen and metal window frames.

0:20:41 > 0:20:43But property three was a real winner

0:20:43 > 0:20:46with enough space for all and views to die for.

0:20:48 > 0:20:50So has a taste of the houses they could call home

0:20:50 > 0:20:53been enough for everyone to choose properties in New Zealand

0:20:53 > 0:20:55over those in the UK?

0:20:56 > 0:20:59Based on the houses we have seen today, our vote goes to...

0:21:07 > 0:21:10- New Zealand.- New Zealand.- Undecided.

0:21:12 > 0:21:15What did you vote for? New Zealand?!

0:21:16 > 0:21:20Everything is maybe my last chance like this to have a house.

0:21:20 > 0:21:23This is why I decided New Zealand.

0:21:23 > 0:21:25I'm amazed that he voted New Zealand.

0:21:30 > 0:21:33A vote for New Zealand from Ismail is music to Adrienne's ears.

0:21:33 > 0:21:36But will her winning streak continue?

0:21:36 > 0:21:40She knows finding good jobs with good wages in New Zealand is essential

0:21:40 > 0:21:42if she's to keep her dream alive.

0:21:45 > 0:21:48In the UK, Ismail is a self-employed carpenter.

0:21:48 > 0:21:53I like to work with mainly old houses or old buildings.

0:21:53 > 0:21:55Restoration is my "fairy job".

0:21:55 > 0:21:59Adrienne did work as a teaching assistant in a secondary school.

0:21:59 > 0:22:03I work with special needs children. I really like it. It's great fun.

0:22:03 > 0:22:05The children are lovely.

0:22:05 > 0:22:08But it's a job she had to sacrifice to give her New Zealand goal a shot.

0:22:09 > 0:22:14I have had to give in my notice to do the trial week in New Zealand.

0:22:14 > 0:22:17It has been a shame. Quite a wrench, really.

0:22:17 > 0:22:21All too aware of what it's like starting again in a new country,

0:22:21 > 0:22:24Ismail has real concerns about work.

0:22:24 > 0:22:28When you move to a new place, you have to work harder

0:22:28 > 0:22:32than where you are because you need to explain yourself.

0:22:32 > 0:22:35My wife thinks differently, but I believe it will be harder.

0:22:37 > 0:22:40It's a big day as the couple set off

0:22:40 > 0:22:43to explore work possibilities in the Auckland area.

0:22:43 > 0:22:46Adrienne's painfully aware today could make or break her dream.

0:22:46 > 0:22:48Today is really important.

0:22:48 > 0:22:51This is the day that shows whether we can actually move or not.

0:22:51 > 0:22:54You know it is a nice country, you know we can do nice things,

0:22:54 > 0:22:57so it all comes down to money and work.

0:22:57 > 0:22:59At Orewa Primary School,

0:22:59 > 0:23:02Adrienne is greeted by deputy principal Ann Heath.

0:23:02 > 0:23:05I suggest we go for a wander, have a look at some of the classrooms

0:23:05 > 0:23:08you might be working in and then we will have a chat.

0:23:08 > 0:23:10After being shown around, she is keen to hear

0:23:10 > 0:23:13if her qualifications would be recognised in New Zealand.

0:23:14 > 0:23:18To be honest, we don't look so much at qualifications.

0:23:18 > 0:23:21We look at the kind of personality that the teacher aide has.

0:23:21 > 0:23:24So it's quite interesting when a teacher aide walks in

0:23:24 > 0:23:27looking for a job, it's almost as if as they walk in the door,

0:23:27 > 0:23:29you know whether they are going to fit or not.

0:23:29 > 0:23:32What kind of salary can I expect to earn here?

0:23:32 > 0:23:35The rate in New Zealand, I think,

0:23:35 > 0:23:37is between about 16 and 20 an hour.

0:23:37 > 0:23:42That is around £8 per hour, more than Adrienne earned at home.

0:23:42 > 0:23:45- We were on about £7 an hour, so...- OK.

0:23:45 > 0:23:49- But it does go in grades. - Yes, and so does ours.

0:23:49 > 0:23:52With the wages around what she had hoped for,

0:23:52 > 0:23:54that left just one more question.

0:23:54 > 0:23:57Based on my qualifications, do you think I would be able

0:23:57 > 0:24:00to get a job here in New Zealand quite easily?

0:24:00 > 0:24:03I'm sure your qualifications and your personality would win you a job easily.

0:24:03 > 0:24:06- Thank you.- If there was a job, it would be yours.

0:24:06 > 0:24:09The day has brought nothing but positive news for Adrienne.

0:24:09 > 0:24:12But she knows what Ismail learns will need to be encouraging too

0:24:12 > 0:24:14for her dream to stay on track.

0:24:14 > 0:24:16I was so pleased. That was lovely.

0:24:16 > 0:24:20My bit is finished now, so it's down to Ismail to do his thing.

0:24:20 > 0:24:22I am positive, but I am a little bit nervous,

0:24:22 > 0:24:24because it could go the other way.

0:24:26 > 0:24:28He is spending the day with City Parks,

0:24:28 > 0:24:30an Auckland property maintenance business.

0:24:30 > 0:24:33- So you're pretty familiar with working with timber, yes?- Yes.

0:24:33 > 0:24:35It's all right. No problem.

0:24:35 > 0:24:40Within minutes, he is helping to install a new clifftop fence.

0:24:40 > 0:24:43- That is the top one.- That is the top one. Perfect here.

0:24:43 > 0:24:45Don't worry. Don't worry one minute.

0:24:45 > 0:24:48And before long, he is taking charge.

0:24:48 > 0:24:50You don't need the pencil mark. You put your knees there.

0:24:50 > 0:24:53He is a site foreman now! He is a site foreman!

0:24:53 > 0:24:56Sitting down with manager Joe Standen,

0:24:56 > 0:25:00Ismail's keen to hear what his working hours would be like.

0:25:00 > 0:25:03You start at seven o'clock and finish at five?

0:25:03 > 0:25:06Generally the guys will work from 7:30am until 3:30pm.

0:25:06 > 0:25:09Eight or nine hours, but they have got a break?

0:25:09 > 0:25:13It is generally two 15-minute breaks and a half-hour for lunch.

0:25:13 > 0:25:15Do you have the chance to do overtime and things?

0:25:15 > 0:25:17Yes, from time to time.

0:25:17 > 0:25:19And the salary?

0:25:19 > 0:25:20How much can I earn?

0:25:20 > 0:25:24It is about 20 an hour, roughly, give or take. 40,000 a year.

0:25:24 > 0:25:29At around £17,000, it is just £4,000 less than he earns at home.

0:25:29 > 0:25:31But would there be work for Ismail?

0:25:31 > 0:25:34You don't know me, but you know my CV.

0:25:34 > 0:25:37Do you think it would it be easy to find a job around here?

0:25:37 > 0:25:39I certainly think so.

0:25:39 > 0:25:42From what I have seen of your CV and having met you,

0:25:42 > 0:25:45you're the kind of person that I'd be very keen to talk to about offering a job.

0:25:45 > 0:25:48He has certainly enjoyed the on-the-job banter.

0:25:48 > 0:25:51On the first day, if they are like this,

0:25:51 > 0:25:54when they know me it would be amazing.

0:25:54 > 0:25:56I like the atmosphere.

0:25:56 > 0:25:58Meeting up later on the beach,

0:25:58 > 0:26:00Adrienne can't wait to hear how Ismail's day went.

0:26:00 > 0:26:04- If we come...- There is work.

0:26:04 > 0:26:06If you are serious, there is work.

0:26:06 > 0:26:09Because every year 40,000 people are coming here.

0:26:09 > 0:26:12- 40,000.- I know. It's amazing, isn't it?

0:26:12 > 0:26:14They need houses, schools, they need things.

0:26:14 > 0:26:16Construction is growing here.

0:26:16 > 0:26:19I've had a great day and I think Ismail, from what he has said,

0:26:19 > 0:26:23has had a really amazing day today and we both feel very upbeat

0:26:23 > 0:26:25and positive about it.

0:26:25 > 0:26:29So will the couple's enthusiasm mean a clean sweep for New Zealand?

0:26:29 > 0:26:34Based on the job opportunities we have seen today, our vote goes to...

0:26:39 > 0:26:41- New Zealand.- New Zealand.

0:26:44 > 0:26:47I can't believe myself, what I have done,

0:26:47 > 0:26:49because when I began to turn it was the UK,

0:26:49 > 0:26:53but something happened to push me to vote New Zealand.

0:26:54 > 0:26:58He is blowing me out of the water every day. It is just amazing.

0:26:58 > 0:27:02I can't believe it. He is a new Ismail, a new man.

0:27:08 > 0:27:11It's been a positive week so far for Adrienne.

0:27:11 > 0:27:15Slowly, Ismail could be becoming smitten by the life

0:27:15 > 0:27:18his family could be leading in New Zealand.

0:27:18 > 0:27:23Achieving her dream life is by no means a done deal yet,

0:27:23 > 0:27:26but today, exploring the lifestyle Auckland has to offer

0:27:26 > 0:27:28could help bring it a little closer.

0:27:35 > 0:27:37The family head off on a scenic ferry trip

0:27:37 > 0:27:41from downtown Auckland to Waiheke Island.

0:27:41 > 0:27:43You can see the whole city from here.

0:27:47 > 0:27:49I love it.

0:27:49 > 0:27:54And nature fan Ela soon spots the volcanic island of Rangitoto.

0:27:54 > 0:27:57There is no lava. I don't think it's active.

0:27:57 > 0:28:00I think it's just... I think it's old.

0:28:00 > 0:28:03Look at the island up there. That is where we're going.

0:28:03 > 0:28:07Look at that house on top of there. Imagine having that house.

0:28:07 > 0:28:10Adrienne thinks the day could be winning everyone round

0:28:10 > 0:28:12and she could be right.

0:28:12 > 0:28:15It's been great. It is such a lovely place.

0:28:15 > 0:28:17I think the children seem really happy.

0:28:17 > 0:28:21The lifestyle here is amazing. It is maybe six times better than England.

0:28:21 > 0:28:26I just love it here. It is much better than being in the UK.

0:28:26 > 0:28:29You can do so much activities here.

0:28:31 > 0:28:35Next up, lunch comes courtesy of one of the island's public barbecues.

0:28:40 > 0:28:42Really nice.

0:28:42 > 0:28:45- Are you having one? - I would like to really cook one.

0:28:45 > 0:28:47Ismail's in his element

0:28:47 > 0:28:51and Kiwi life certainly seems to be working its charms.

0:28:52 > 0:28:55Every day I am enjoying it. It has been really good.

0:28:55 > 0:29:00I can't say anything negative about New Zealand. It's perfect.

0:29:00 > 0:29:02And Ela seems sold too.

0:29:02 > 0:29:05This has really changed my mind about living in New Zealand.

0:29:05 > 0:29:08It's kind of turning out to be my dream now.

0:29:15 > 0:29:18Back on the mainland, the family make a beeline for Murrays Beach,

0:29:18 > 0:29:23where they indulge in one of Kamuran's favourite hobbies - fishing.

0:29:23 > 0:29:25# Gone fishing

0:29:25 > 0:29:29# But there is a sign upon your door... #

0:29:29 > 0:29:34I like fishing because you don't know what you are going to catch.

0:29:34 > 0:29:37I've actually got something.

0:29:37 > 0:29:41- Seaweed. It's a lump of seaweed! - Seaweed, wahey!

0:29:41 > 0:29:43# Oh, yeah. #

0:29:45 > 0:29:47Casting a line reminds Kamuran

0:29:47 > 0:29:50of spending time with Adrienne's late brother.

0:29:50 > 0:29:52I used to fish with my uncle,

0:29:52 > 0:29:55but now he has passed it is much more like...

0:29:55 > 0:29:59It's much more difficult and I never fish now.

0:30:06 > 0:30:10And he's not the only one thinking of family back home.

0:30:10 > 0:30:13I think I'll really miss my family,

0:30:13 > 0:30:16It's just... It will really touch me.

0:30:16 > 0:30:19It kind of might break my heart.

0:30:19 > 0:30:23Adrienne's thoughts, meanwhile, have turned to leaving her sister.

0:30:23 > 0:30:26It will be really, really tough.

0:30:26 > 0:30:29I can't say how tough. And it will be upsetting.

0:30:29 > 0:30:33You know, our mum and dad's gone, we don't have a big family, so...

0:30:33 > 0:30:36we're all we've got, and I do feel really selfish.

0:30:36 > 0:30:40And, er, and I hope she just forgives me.

0:30:47 > 0:30:51Thoughts of home aside, it had been a fun day.

0:30:51 > 0:30:53But when it comes to lifestyle,

0:30:53 > 0:30:56has everyone been sold on what New Zealand has to offer?

0:30:57 > 0:30:59Based on the experiences we've seen today,

0:30:59 > 0:31:01our vote goes to...

0:31:08 > 0:31:10ALL: New Zealand!

0:31:14 > 0:31:17So, Ismail, you're still on New Zealand!

0:31:17 > 0:31:20Yeah, because it was a lovely day. I saw the island.

0:31:24 > 0:31:27- Superb.- I don't know what to say, really.

0:31:27 > 0:31:30I want to run around with my flag!

0:31:39 > 0:31:43With New Zealand's lifestyle getting nearly everyone's votes,

0:31:43 > 0:31:45Adrienne's dream could be closer than ever.

0:31:45 > 0:31:47But if it's to become a reality,

0:31:47 > 0:31:50the finances will need to stack up.

0:31:50 > 0:31:55The couple feel their house in the UK is worth £165,000.

0:31:55 > 0:31:58We sent round two estate agents to give their valuations.

0:32:00 > 0:32:03This is a nice, light entrance hall.

0:32:04 > 0:32:07- Nice, sunny lounge. - Left those decorations up!

0:32:07 > 0:32:10Good size reception room with the bay to the rear garden,

0:32:10 > 0:32:12double opening doors.

0:32:14 > 0:32:18Good size fitted kitchen, and a door to the rear garden.

0:32:18 > 0:32:20It looks so dated, doesn't it?

0:32:20 > 0:32:22Fantastic sized garden.

0:32:22 > 0:32:25Space for a big extension on the back, like next door,

0:32:25 > 0:32:28if you wanted to add on to the kitchen and the dining room as well.

0:32:28 > 0:32:29Read our minds!

0:32:29 > 0:32:33Good size master bedroom, with one wall fully fitted with wardrobes.

0:32:33 > 0:32:35The wardrobes are amazing.

0:32:35 > 0:32:36A nice, large window to the front.

0:32:36 > 0:32:39A nice modern bathroom, with a P-shaped bath,

0:32:39 > 0:32:41gives you a bit more space in the shower.

0:32:41 > 0:32:45- Child's bedroom.- It's my room! - With toys, generous size.

0:32:45 > 0:32:49In today's market I'd value this house at £175,000,

0:32:49 > 0:32:52and for a quick sale I'd place it on the market at £169,950.

0:32:52 > 0:32:54That's good.

0:32:54 > 0:32:55In today's market, I would

0:32:55 > 0:32:57value this house at £169,950.

0:32:57 > 0:32:59For a quick sale, I would place it

0:32:59 > 0:33:01on the market at £165,000.

0:33:01 > 0:33:05- That's good, you know. - I'm surprised. Really surprised.

0:33:05 > 0:33:06It's perfect.

0:33:06 > 0:33:10With the valuations around what Adrienne and Ismail had hoped,

0:33:10 > 0:33:11the couple move on to compare

0:33:11 > 0:33:14the cost of living in New Zealand with the UK.

0:33:14 > 0:33:16They start with the weekly food shop.

0:33:19 > 0:33:23OK, so definitely iceberg lettuce is more expensive.

0:33:23 > 0:33:25Pork sausages, beef sausages are double.

0:33:25 > 0:33:29OK, 5.92. £4.81.

0:33:30 > 0:33:31Equals?

0:33:31 > 0:33:33£41.84.

0:33:33 > 0:33:35£41...

0:33:35 > 0:33:39That's around £180 more on food in New Zealand.

0:33:39 > 0:33:41It's a big increase,

0:33:41 > 0:33:43but Ismail feels there are bigger fish to fry.

0:33:45 > 0:33:47Darling, this does not really worry me.

0:33:47 > 0:33:49The main thing is all the bills.

0:33:49 > 0:33:53Is after the bills, we look what can we buy for food.

0:33:53 > 0:33:54Bills the main concern.

0:33:54 > 0:33:57So what about the larger bills?

0:33:57 > 0:34:01The couple base their figures on the dream house they fell in love with.

0:34:01 > 0:34:03Mortgage.

0:34:03 > 0:34:06We pay £461.

0:34:06 > 0:34:13We are going to pay in New Zealand £1,587.

0:34:13 > 0:34:15- That's surprising.- Home insurance.

0:34:15 > 0:34:20In UK we paying 17, in New Zealand £55.

0:34:20 > 0:34:25Equals £1,278.92.

0:34:25 > 0:34:27Difference. OK.

0:34:27 > 0:34:32Spending over £1,2000 a month more in New Zealand comes as a shock.

0:34:32 > 0:34:35But when they take into account their potential earnings,

0:34:35 > 0:34:37the overall figure is even worse.

0:34:37 > 0:34:44So that's £1,321.92 worse off...

0:34:44 > 0:34:46in New Zealand.

0:34:46 > 0:34:50- Yes.- It's pretty big, isn't it? Bigger than what I thought.- Yeah.

0:34:50 > 0:34:52Too big.

0:34:52 > 0:34:55When Adrienne tries to rescue the situation,

0:34:55 > 0:34:58tensions come to the surface.

0:34:58 > 0:35:00What I'm saying is, if we look in different areas

0:35:00 > 0:35:02before you write it off,

0:35:02 > 0:35:04and see whether we can find a cheaper property...

0:35:04 > 0:35:11You can have same standard house in UK, with same price,

0:35:11 > 0:35:14half cheap, you can't find in New Zealand. Impossible.

0:35:14 > 0:35:17- I know that!- You don't understand what...- I do understand,

0:35:17 > 0:35:19but that's Auckland we're looking in.

0:35:19 > 0:35:22- It just doesn't mean... - Doesn't matter - no big different.

0:35:22 > 0:35:27You find one house at your similar mortgage, similar standard,

0:35:27 > 0:35:30I move straight away. But I know you can't find it.

0:35:30 > 0:35:31Impossible.

0:35:31 > 0:35:36- OK. I'll give it a go. My best shot. - OK, you do your best shot.- OK.

0:35:37 > 0:35:41It's time to vote on finances in New Zealand versus the UK.

0:35:41 > 0:35:44Based on the reality check today with our finances,

0:35:44 > 0:35:46our vote goes to...

0:35:50 > 0:35:52- UK!- UK.

0:35:52 > 0:35:55I don't want to vote it.

0:35:55 > 0:35:58And I'm really upset voting for it, but...

0:35:58 > 0:35:59that's it.

0:36:04 > 0:36:07It just feels like the end of the line, it really does.

0:36:07 > 0:36:10I'm so disappointed.

0:36:20 > 0:36:21With the sums showing they'd be

0:36:21 > 0:36:24substantially worse off in New Zealand,

0:36:24 > 0:36:27Adrienne's dream could be on the verge of slipping from her grasp,

0:36:27 > 0:36:30and she's still got one more hurdle to overcome.

0:36:32 > 0:36:35Having first discussed it with the children,

0:36:35 > 0:36:38the family sit down to watch messages from loved ones at home together.

0:36:40 > 0:36:44- Hi, everyone.- Hello, everyone! - Hello, everybody!

0:36:44 > 0:36:45Hi, guys.

0:36:45 > 0:36:48As a family, they're quite nutty.

0:36:48 > 0:36:53Ismail is...bubbly, and you will not get bored with his company.

0:36:53 > 0:36:56Adrienne is a really caring person.

0:36:56 > 0:36:59She's lovely. Kind-hearted.

0:36:59 > 0:37:02She is outgoing, and if you see her on the dance floor,

0:37:02 > 0:37:04you'll know what I mean.

0:37:04 > 0:37:07She can capture an audience. That girl can move.

0:37:07 > 0:37:12Kamuran is just lovely. So polite, so gorgeous. Lovely-looking.

0:37:12 > 0:37:16Yeah, Eurim is a little sweetheart. Sweetie.

0:37:16 > 0:37:20And Ela, well, she's cheeky and she's lovely.

0:37:20 > 0:37:22I first found out they were wanting to move to New Zealand

0:37:22 > 0:37:25when we had a party down at their house

0:37:25 > 0:37:27for, I think, it was Adrienne's birthday,

0:37:27 > 0:37:30and they were talking about either Australia or New Zealand.

0:37:30 > 0:37:32Ismail said he didn't want to go,

0:37:32 > 0:37:36so we thought it'd just be quashed and they weren't going to do it.

0:37:36 > 0:37:38They've lived abroad before, in Turkey,

0:37:38 > 0:37:42so, er, it's somewhere completely new

0:37:42 > 0:37:45and I think it will be great for them if they ever eventually do it.

0:37:45 > 0:37:47I don't like the idea.

0:37:47 > 0:37:49Of course I don't want to lose them.

0:37:49 > 0:37:50But if it's good for the family,

0:37:50 > 0:37:53then of course we're going to support them.

0:37:53 > 0:37:56I think we'd all go over there. We'd all visit them.

0:37:56 > 0:37:59And it would be a mad party over there.

0:37:59 > 0:38:01We get on very well.

0:38:01 > 0:38:05It's like sister and brother to us.

0:38:05 > 0:38:07And it's going to be...

0:38:07 > 0:38:11Words cannot describe how much they are going to get missed by us.

0:38:11 > 0:38:13Isn't it, boys?

0:38:13 > 0:38:17I will really, really miss Adrienne.

0:38:17 > 0:38:20You know, she's one of my closest friends.

0:38:20 > 0:38:22And I will miss the family too,

0:38:22 > 0:38:25but they've got to do what's right for them.

0:38:26 > 0:38:29I'm really excited for Adrienne.

0:38:29 > 0:38:32I think she's been through quite a lot recently.

0:38:32 > 0:38:36I think...losing her mum, losing her brother,

0:38:36 > 0:38:41it's all been a bit hard, and I think as a family

0:38:41 > 0:38:43they'd want some family fun together.

0:38:43 > 0:38:45They could do with some fun,

0:38:45 > 0:38:48and I think that could be the place for them.

0:38:48 > 0:38:52I think you should do it, I think you should take that chance,

0:38:52 > 0:38:54that risk, and really make a go of it.

0:38:54 > 0:38:58You can do it and manage it, so good luck!

0:38:58 > 0:39:02- If you moved, I would be very... - Look there.- ..sad, because...

0:39:02 > 0:39:07- I would have nobody to play with. - Oh, bless his heart!

0:39:12 > 0:39:14We all really like it here.

0:39:14 > 0:39:17We've all voted for New Zealand.

0:39:22 > 0:39:25You want to go home? Why do you want to go home?

0:39:29 > 0:39:32Aww. Even Eurim wants to go home.

0:39:32 > 0:39:37Really hard to make decision to move to another country.

0:39:37 > 0:39:40Really, this is upsetting.

0:39:40 > 0:39:42I just...

0:39:44 > 0:39:45It's just a hard choice.

0:39:48 > 0:39:51While the financial and emotional costs of a move

0:39:51 > 0:39:53are now crystal clear,

0:39:53 > 0:39:56where the family will end up spending their future

0:39:56 > 0:39:58is anything but.

0:39:58 > 0:40:01Adrienne may be convinced New Zealand should be her home,

0:40:01 > 0:40:06but will the rest of her family agree the benefits the country offers

0:40:06 > 0:40:09outweigh the sacrifices they'd have to make?

0:40:12 > 0:40:14When the Gormusoglus arrived in New Zealand a week ago,

0:40:14 > 0:40:18Adrienne was desperately seeking new horizons for her family.

0:40:30 > 0:40:33but I do feel I could easily live here.

0:40:33 > 0:40:36And the week's not only worked wonders on Kamuran and Ela...

0:40:36 > 0:40:37I didn't really want to come here

0:40:37 > 0:40:40because I thought New Zealand was just basically England,

0:40:40 > 0:40:44but when we came here I had much more...activities to do,

0:40:44 > 0:40:46had better weather.

0:40:46 > 0:40:49New Zealand is an amazing country

0:40:49 > 0:40:52and I would love to live here.

0:40:52 > 0:40:55But also on Ismail, who was always going to be

0:40:55 > 0:40:56Adrienne's biggest challenge.

0:40:58 > 0:41:02This is lovely, you know, this is paradise. Another world.

0:41:05 > 0:41:08I can say, I can move to New Zealand.

0:41:08 > 0:41:12Yet he's still reeling from the reality of what a move could cost.

0:41:15 > 0:41:19We are really OK at the moment in the UK.

0:41:19 > 0:41:24I'm not struggling - my family, my children, they have what they need.

0:41:24 > 0:41:28I have to decide which is good for my family at the moment,

0:41:28 > 0:41:30for this condition.

0:41:30 > 0:41:33And even Adrienne seems to be struggling with conflicting thoughts.

0:41:33 > 0:41:38When you see your friends and family and the reality check

0:41:38 > 0:41:42and all the negative sides to this massive move, you can't just

0:41:42 > 0:41:45think about the scenery and running around in the sun,

0:41:45 > 0:41:48and, "We're going to change our life and it's all very exciting,"

0:41:48 > 0:41:51because it is real and it does bring it home to you

0:41:51 > 0:41:52that it wouldn't be easy.

0:41:52 > 0:41:55Everything now rests on these final minutes

0:41:55 > 0:41:58as the family decide where their future lies.

0:41:58 > 0:42:03We've had a great week, lots of experiences, highs and lows.

0:42:03 > 0:42:05Our vote goes to...

0:42:25 > 0:42:29Because... It's amazing, like, it's amazing,

0:42:29 > 0:42:33- but like...living here would be really...- Amazing!

0:42:33 > 0:42:35No, really difficult.

0:42:35 > 0:42:36Why did you go UK?

0:42:36 > 0:42:38We are not really ready.

0:42:38 > 0:42:41Sorry about that, but...

0:42:41 > 0:42:42I don't feel like we are.

0:42:42 > 0:42:44I won't give up.

0:42:44 > 0:42:48I'll try and look for different areas, different properties.

0:42:48 > 0:42:51I have to say that I'm disappointed.

0:42:58 > 0:43:02She may not be making the move to New Zealand any time soon,

0:43:02 > 0:43:06but Adrienne's dream definitely isn't dead yet.

0:43:06 > 0:43:10Who knows? One day, she may succeed in persuading everyone

0:43:10 > 0:43:12it's where they should be.

0:43:12 > 0:43:14Whichever way the future takes them,

0:43:14 > 0:43:16we wish the Gormusoglus all the best.
