0:00:02 > 0:00:04Moving to the other side of the world
0:00:04 > 0:00:07is a once-in-a-lifetime decision.
0:00:07 > 0:00:09But what if it didn't work out the first time?
0:00:09 > 0:00:13Would you be willing to leave everything behind and try again,
0:00:13 > 0:00:16especially if your partner doesn't share your dream?
0:00:17 > 0:00:21Asrar Hussain has always dreamt of living Down Under,
0:00:21 > 0:00:23but his wife Saimah is not so sure.
0:00:23 > 0:00:26It seems like a waste of space.
0:00:26 > 0:00:29I don't think I have a problem with cold and wet days.
0:00:29 > 0:00:31It's inconvenient.
0:00:31 > 0:00:34And he has one week to convince her.
0:00:34 > 0:00:37You're comparing Blackburn, a town, to Sydney.
0:00:37 > 0:00:41I've had enough of people thinking of themselves. I've got to think of myself.
0:00:41 > 0:00:45The decision they make will change their lives forever.
0:01:07 > 0:01:10Many Brits seeking a new life abroad
0:01:10 > 0:01:12are drawn to Australia's sunny climate
0:01:12 > 0:01:14and stunning coastline.
0:01:14 > 0:01:18Almost 100 British people emigrate to Australia every day.
0:01:18 > 0:01:21But it doesn't always live up to the dream
0:01:21 > 0:01:23and roughly a third return home.
0:01:23 > 0:01:27But that doesn't stop people from trying.
0:01:27 > 0:01:31The Hussain family have one week to sample life Down Under
0:01:31 > 0:01:35before they decide if their future lies in the UK or Australia.
0:01:35 > 0:01:39It's a long, long way from the life they know back in Lancashire.
0:01:40 > 0:01:42Crossing three continents
0:01:42 > 0:01:45and a distance of nearly 11,000 miles,
0:01:45 > 0:01:48the Hussains spend 20 hours in the air.
0:01:49 > 0:01:55Plenty of time to think about the huge change they could be making to their lives.
0:01:55 > 0:01:57The trip was long.
0:01:57 > 0:02:01But it wasn't too bad. It wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be.
0:02:01 > 0:02:05Yes, it was OK, considering the kids were with us.
0:02:05 > 0:02:08But the journey has taken its toll on the children
0:02:08 > 0:02:13and it's a long way from their home in Blackburn.
0:02:16 > 0:02:19Civil engineer Asrar and his wife Saimah
0:02:19 > 0:02:22are parents to Zeena, one and a half,
0:02:22 > 0:02:25and Yushua, who's six months old.
0:02:25 > 0:02:27Asrar has wanted to work abroad for years
0:02:27 > 0:02:31and he and Saimah almost made the move four years ago.
0:02:32 > 0:02:35Asrar was offered a job in New Zealand, in Auckland.
0:02:35 > 0:02:40We were very excited. We made the plunge and spent our money on tickets.
0:02:40 > 0:02:41This is before we had children.
0:02:41 > 0:02:45The job itself wasn't quite right for me.
0:02:45 > 0:02:51The Auckland area, on the outskirts, didn't fit into what we thought life would be like in New Zealand
0:02:51 > 0:02:54and that's why we decided not to go.
0:02:54 > 0:02:57Since the New Zealand dream fell through,
0:02:57 > 0:03:00the Hussains have built themselves an ideal life in Blackburn.
0:03:00 > 0:03:03Even so, the idea of a better life abroad
0:03:03 > 0:03:07has always been on Asrar's mind.
0:03:07 > 0:03:09I'm an engineer, so the way it works is,
0:03:09 > 0:03:12you hope for the best and you plan for the worst.
0:03:12 > 0:03:17That's what I'm doing. I'm seeing what opportunities there are at the moment.
0:03:17 > 0:03:22But Asrar's outlook on life isn't completely shared by Saimah.
0:03:24 > 0:03:29I think Asrar really wants to go. He's been going on about Australia for the past three years now
0:03:29 > 0:03:32and before Australia it was New Zealand.
0:03:32 > 0:03:37So I feel like we need to just do it or not do it and put it to rest.
0:03:37 > 0:03:41But although Saimah is supportive of Asrar,
0:03:41 > 0:03:45for her to leave Blackburn, Sydney will have to deliver.
0:03:45 > 0:03:48I live in a lovely area in Blackburn.
0:03:48 > 0:03:52The house is perfect. It's an ideal family home.
0:03:52 > 0:03:55We live near all the facilities that we need -
0:03:55 > 0:04:00the gym, shopping, halal food, Asian delicatessens.
0:04:00 > 0:04:04And it's this culture, that's so important to her,
0:04:04 > 0:04:06which Sydney will need to provide.
0:04:06 > 0:04:12Similar thing when we went to New Zealand, we were looking for a Muslim community there.
0:04:12 > 0:04:15And it was, shall we say, developing still.
0:04:15 > 0:04:20So one way to look at is, we could help develop that community,
0:04:20 > 0:04:25like people, like our parents, have developed the community here in Blackburn.
0:04:25 > 0:04:29Whilst Asrar's sights are firmly set on a future Down Under,
0:04:29 > 0:04:33Saimah would have to leave behind the only community she's ever known.
0:04:33 > 0:04:36When you're a Muslim it's your whole life,
0:04:36 > 0:04:40so you need to encompass the Islamic lifestyle
0:04:40 > 0:04:42and you need that by having other Muslims around you.
0:04:42 > 0:04:46For me, that would be extremely important
0:04:46 > 0:04:51and I'd have serious issues if I was unable to find that kind of support network.
0:04:52 > 0:04:54And finding the right setting
0:04:54 > 0:04:58is just one of the problems they could face.
0:04:58 > 0:05:00I think anything we get in Australia
0:05:00 > 0:05:03would have to be a lot better than what we have here,
0:05:03 > 0:05:06and I think that would be difficult to achieve,
0:05:06 > 0:05:12but it would have to, to compensate for the fact that we are going to be leaving our families behind.
0:05:12 > 0:05:14But I think it is possible,
0:05:14 > 0:05:19otherwise we wouldn't take this huge step.
0:05:21 > 0:05:26Asrar's belief that the Hussains can find a future in Australia is as strong as ever,
0:05:26 > 0:05:29but persuading Saimah to share it
0:05:29 > 0:05:32could be the toughest challenge he will face all week in Oz.
0:05:32 > 0:05:38The Hussains want to find out if Sydney could be the right location for a new start.
0:05:38 > 0:05:43It offers all the perks of living in one of the world's great cities
0:05:43 > 0:05:46and is also home to Australia's largest Muslim population,
0:05:46 > 0:05:49so it should offer some familiar cultural surroundings.
0:05:49 > 0:05:53For the next week, their home will be in the beachside suburb of Dee Why,
0:05:53 > 0:05:56a popular area for young families,
0:05:56 > 0:06:00with plenty of beaches, cafes and parks.
0:06:01 > 0:06:05This two-bedroom apartment is only a couple of minutes' walk to the beach
0:06:05 > 0:06:08and should give them a taste of Aussie living.
0:06:12 > 0:06:14The view's nice.
0:06:14 > 0:06:16But...
0:06:16 > 0:06:19..it looks a bit...dated.
0:06:19 > 0:06:24- It's a bit on the small side for our growing family.- Yes.
0:06:24 > 0:06:27The children look to have settled in,
0:06:27 > 0:06:31but for Saimah and Asrar, thoughts are already on the week ahead.
0:06:31 > 0:06:34I think my main worry
0:06:34 > 0:06:38is that we'll see houses that we can't afford but we'll really like,
0:06:38 > 0:06:44and our house in England is going to look even more fantastic
0:06:44 > 0:06:48and never achievable in this country.
0:06:48 > 0:06:53We'll see what life is like in Sydney and we'll take it from there.
0:06:58 > 0:07:02In Blackburn, the Hussains live in this four-bed semi-detached house,
0:07:02 > 0:07:05which is Saimah's pride and joy.
0:07:05 > 0:07:08They believe it's worth around £280,000
0:07:08 > 0:07:12and in total, they could have a budget of £300,000
0:07:12 > 0:07:15to spend on an Australian property.
0:07:15 > 0:07:17But if Saimah is to be persuaded to move,
0:07:17 > 0:07:22there are a few important features her new home must include.
0:07:22 > 0:07:26It's like our dream home. It's what we've always wanted to have for our family,
0:07:26 > 0:07:30so we would be looking for something similar in Sydney.
0:07:30 > 0:07:33Ideally, we want to lift this house up
0:07:33 > 0:07:38and put it in a nice suburb in Sydney but with a pool,
0:07:38 > 0:07:41but it's whether that's going to be achievable or not.
0:07:42 > 0:07:46We'll give the Hussains a taste of Sydney's housing market.
0:07:46 > 0:07:48We'll show them three choices
0:07:48 > 0:07:52based upon what they want from their ideal home,
0:07:52 > 0:07:54what they can afford
0:07:54 > 0:07:57and the real cost of property Down Under.
0:07:57 > 0:07:59After seeing for themselves what's on offer,
0:07:59 > 0:08:02we'll reveal the price of each house.
0:08:02 > 0:08:06The Hussains start their search not far from their base,
0:08:06 > 0:08:09in the suburb of Dee Why.
0:08:09 > 0:08:11It's a family area, with a great beach.
0:08:11 > 0:08:14It also has a strong multicultural community,
0:08:14 > 0:08:19so they should find the Muslim culture they enjoy in Blackburn.
0:08:20 > 0:08:25This three-bedroom garden apartment is a stone's throw from the water
0:08:25 > 0:08:28and could offer the Hussains a starter home in Australia.
0:08:28 > 0:08:32But will it deliver on their requirements?
0:08:34 > 0:08:36It looks...nice.
0:08:36 > 0:08:39It looks very white and clean.
0:08:39 > 0:08:43- It looks small.- It's compact.
0:08:43 > 0:08:46Mixed first impressions.
0:08:46 > 0:08:49Maybe the bedrooms will provide all the space they need.
0:08:49 > 0:08:53I can't really tell what kind of a bedroom this would make.
0:08:53 > 0:08:55- A fairly small one.- Yes.
0:08:57 > 0:08:59- What do you think?- It's OK.
0:08:59 > 0:09:01That's the dressing area.
0:09:01 > 0:09:04Over there, we've got the, er,
0:09:04 > 0:09:06- the bathroom.- Yes.
0:09:06 > 0:09:09The bedroom's a good size, but the bathroom isn't...
0:09:09 > 0:09:13I wouldn't want a bathroom that small for an ensuite.
0:09:13 > 0:09:17And that little nook there doesn't make up for it, either.
0:09:19 > 0:09:22With just the third bedroom left to inspect,
0:09:22 > 0:09:25can it convince Saimah that this is the home for them?
0:09:25 > 0:09:28It's a good-size bedroom, I think.
0:09:29 > 0:09:34It's a good-size bedroom, but you can hear everything going on outside.
0:09:34 > 0:09:37Mm, she's not looking convinced.
0:09:37 > 0:09:39It's an ideal starter.
0:09:39 > 0:09:44But where we are at the moment, we need something a little bigger.
0:09:46 > 0:09:48This apartment isn't what they want or need
0:09:48 > 0:09:51and they haven't even seen the price yet.
0:09:51 > 0:09:54Go on, then, let's have a look.
0:09:54 > 0:09:56BOTH: £400,000.
0:09:56 > 0:10:00You seem to be paying a premium for living close to the beach,
0:10:00 > 0:10:02so it's probably about the right price.
0:10:02 > 0:10:04It might be the right price for what it is,
0:10:04 > 0:10:09but it's not a price we'd be willing to pay for what it is.
0:10:09 > 0:10:12- We wouldn't be buying an apartment, would we?- No.
0:10:12 > 0:10:16- We would be looking for a house. - For a house.- Minimum three bedrooms.
0:10:16 > 0:10:19- Yes.- Which this is. But we need it in a house.
0:10:21 > 0:10:23So onto the second property.
0:10:23 > 0:10:26It's going to have to offer a lot more
0:10:26 > 0:10:29if Saimah is going to consider a move.
0:10:29 > 0:10:34It's in the desirable district of Cromer, on the northern edge of the city.
0:10:34 > 0:10:37It's a family area, with beaches and shops close to hand,
0:10:37 > 0:10:43and with its own multicultural community, it should suit the Hussains' needs.
0:10:46 > 0:10:50With four bedrooms, this house is a similar size to their Blackburn home.
0:10:50 > 0:10:54And with potential to make it into the house they really want,
0:10:54 > 0:10:56could it win Saimah over?
0:10:56 > 0:10:59Ooh, look at this living room.
0:10:59 > 0:11:01It's an OK-size living room.
0:11:01 > 0:11:03I'm never sure about brickwork inside, though.
0:11:03 > 0:11:06It looks like a decent size.
0:11:06 > 0:11:08LITTLE GIRL: It's a nice kitchen.
0:11:08 > 0:11:11OK, it's an all right-size kitchen.
0:11:11 > 0:11:13It's still very ugly.
0:11:13 > 0:11:15I'm just thinking,
0:11:15 > 0:11:20the price will have to reflect the amount of work that needs doing to this.
0:11:20 > 0:11:21Oh, dear.
0:11:21 > 0:11:27With such a lot of work to be done, it looks like this property could be out of the running.
0:11:28 > 0:11:30Downstairs...
0:11:30 > 0:11:33- All right on an Asian wedding card, that wallpaper!- Yes!
0:11:33 > 0:11:35Does Zeena want this as her bedroom
0:11:35 > 0:11:40- or shall we have this as Yushua's bedroom?- Yushua bedroom.
0:11:40 > 0:11:45It needs decorating. There's a lot of work, by the looks of it.
0:11:46 > 0:11:50She really is a tough customer.
0:11:50 > 0:11:53This house is huge and has massive potential,
0:11:53 > 0:11:55but the DIY has put them off.
0:11:55 > 0:11:58Can the price make up for it?
0:11:59 > 0:12:02This one's going to have to be a lot cheaper.
0:12:02 > 0:12:06£537,000.
0:12:06 > 0:12:08That's a lot of money for what this property is.
0:12:08 > 0:12:13Yes. This needs way too much work. I don't think anyone's going to pay that.
0:12:13 > 0:12:15It's going to be difficult for me
0:12:15 > 0:12:19because I'll always compare to the house that we've got in Blackburn
0:12:19 > 0:12:22and that's my ideal home.
0:12:22 > 0:12:24It's absolutely perfect.
0:12:24 > 0:12:26I can see the family growing up there
0:12:26 > 0:12:31and everything about that area's right for us as a family,
0:12:31 > 0:12:34and that's what I'm looking for here
0:12:34 > 0:12:36and I haven't found that yet.
0:12:38 > 0:12:42This house has only confirmed their worst fears of Sydney's prices
0:12:42 > 0:12:45and a move looks further away than ever.
0:12:45 > 0:12:50The next house needs to deliver all Saimah could want and Asrar really needs.
0:12:52 > 0:12:55It's just round the corner from the last.
0:12:55 > 0:13:00This two-storey family home is still close to the beach and it's in a quiet location.
0:13:00 > 0:13:04But with such high standards to meet, can it impress?
0:13:04 > 0:13:07Having dropped the kids off with a childminder,
0:13:07 > 0:13:10Asrar and Saimah take a look around the house.
0:13:12 > 0:13:14- It looks nice, doesn't it?- Yes.
0:13:14 > 0:13:19A promising start. So it's on to check out the rest of the house.
0:13:19 > 0:13:22- The kitchen's a bit small. - It's got everything that you need.
0:13:22 > 0:13:24Oops. Spoke too soon.
0:13:28 > 0:13:30- This is nice.- Yes.
0:13:30 > 0:13:34I like all the glass. I like being able to see in and out.
0:13:34 > 0:13:37And you've got the area where you can have the food outside.
0:13:37 > 0:13:40I think we wanted a bit more grass,
0:13:40 > 0:13:45but I guess that's taken up by the...pool.
0:13:45 > 0:13:49- That's a good-size pool, that. - I'm sure it'll make up for it!
0:13:49 > 0:13:52Asrar's positivity may be rubbing off on Saimah.
0:13:52 > 0:13:56Will she like the downstairs master ensuite?
0:13:56 > 0:13:59I wouldn't want to be coming up and down steps, though.
0:13:59 > 0:14:01There's not that many steps.
0:14:01 > 0:14:04- Really...- It's inconvenient.
0:14:04 > 0:14:07Maybe that was a step too far!
0:14:07 > 0:14:10I don't know how I feel about a bedroom downstairs.
0:14:10 > 0:14:12It's a good-size bedroom, but, yes...
0:14:12 > 0:14:16- It seems a bit small to me. - Do you think?- Yes.
0:14:16 > 0:14:19It's got an ensuite and a walk-in wardrobe.
0:14:19 > 0:14:21The bathroom's tiny, as well.
0:14:23 > 0:14:26The master ensuite hasn't impressed,
0:14:26 > 0:14:28and with just the upstairs left to check out,
0:14:28 > 0:14:31things aren't looking good for Asrar's dream.
0:14:31 > 0:14:37It's OK. It seems like a bit of a waste of space to me.
0:14:38 > 0:14:43With two further bedrooms upstairs, there's plenty of room for the whole family.
0:14:43 > 0:14:47- I think Zeena's is a bit bigger. - Bigger. But it's a decent-size room.
0:14:47 > 0:14:51- The bathroom looks small. - Nothing special.
0:14:51 > 0:14:54- Small, isn't it?- Yes.
0:14:54 > 0:14:57- You can never have -- Three bathrooms and I don't like any of them.
0:14:57 > 0:15:02Not impressed with the bathrooms, so it's outside to check out the balcony.
0:15:02 > 0:15:04Is it enough to make a difference?
0:15:04 > 0:15:07It looks like a nice neighbourhood.
0:15:07 > 0:15:10You'd be happy to see the kids play on the street
0:15:10 > 0:15:12and not really be that worried?
0:15:12 > 0:15:14Yes.
0:15:14 > 0:15:17Well, you can't fault him for trying!
0:15:17 > 0:15:22This house has plenty to offer, but it still hasn't come close to Saimah's Blackburn home.
0:15:22 > 0:15:25Could its price change her mind?
0:15:29 > 0:15:33577,000. And 860,000 Australian dollars.
0:15:33 > 0:15:35- Pleasantly surprised.- Mm.
0:15:35 > 0:15:40It's double the price of our house and I don't know whether I'm getting double the money.
0:15:40 > 0:15:44But you're comparing Blackburn, a town,
0:15:44 > 0:15:48to Sydney, which is one of the most expensive cities in the world.
0:15:48 > 0:15:51It's good value for what Australia or Sydney's got to offer.
0:15:51 > 0:15:57I think I'll have to compare it to a few more houses before I'm convinced, Asrar.
0:15:58 > 0:16:01Asrar clearly has a mountain to climb
0:16:01 > 0:16:05if he's ever going to get his family Down Under.
0:16:05 > 0:16:07They've seen three different properties today.
0:16:07 > 0:16:12The first house offered them the stylish interior Saimah wanted
0:16:12 > 0:16:14but was far too small.
0:16:14 > 0:16:19The second needed too much work and even Asrar didn't like it.
0:16:19 > 0:16:23Finally, house number three had a great pool and big living space,
0:16:23 > 0:16:26but it came with a high price tag.
0:16:27 > 0:16:31The Sydney property market has failed to deliver for Saimah,
0:16:31 > 0:16:33who hankers after her Blackburn home.
0:16:33 > 0:16:37But do the rest of the family share her feelings?
0:16:37 > 0:16:43We've seen three properties today, it's been interesting, but it's time to vote now.
0:16:47 > 0:16:49- The UK!- Australia.
0:16:49 > 0:16:50UK!
0:16:50 > 0:16:52UK!
0:16:52 > 0:16:54Why have you chosen Australia?
0:16:54 > 0:16:56Because it's what we want.
0:16:56 > 0:17:00We know Sydney's more expensive than Blackburn, but I think we can afford it.
0:17:00 > 0:17:03Why did you vote UK?
0:17:03 > 0:17:07I love the house that we've got already, I like everything about the area,
0:17:07 > 0:17:10and none of the houses here have compared to that.
0:17:10 > 0:17:15My main concern is, even if we did find a house that matched the one we've got,
0:17:15 > 0:17:19we'll not be able to afford the lifestyle that we've got
0:17:19 > 0:17:23and we'll find out better about that in the next day or two.
0:17:29 > 0:17:31Property in Sydney failed to convince Saimah
0:17:31 > 0:17:34that uprooting their lives would be worth it
0:17:34 > 0:17:37and Asrar faces an uphill struggle
0:17:37 > 0:17:40if he's to persuade her that the move could work.
0:17:40 > 0:17:43But to afford the kind of life they love at home,
0:17:43 > 0:17:46Sydney will need to provide good work prospects
0:17:46 > 0:17:48and salaries to match.
0:17:49 > 0:17:54Back in Blackburn, Asrar works as a civil engineer for the highways industry
0:17:54 > 0:17:57and earns around £39,000 a year.
0:17:57 > 0:17:59He hopes that the engineering industry in Australia
0:17:59 > 0:18:04will provide more security for him and his family.
0:18:04 > 0:18:07And if the family were to follow through with the dream,
0:18:07 > 0:18:11Saimah would have to earn, too.
0:18:11 > 0:18:13Although she currently works as a support worker,
0:18:13 > 0:18:17she has legal training that could help her secure a job in Australia.
0:18:17 > 0:18:20Leaving the children with a childminder,
0:18:20 > 0:18:24the Hussains are heading out for a day's work experience in the city.
0:18:24 > 0:18:26A lot is riding on today, and for Asrar
0:18:26 > 0:18:30it's not just about impressing his potential employer.
0:18:30 > 0:18:35I think I can change Saimah's view on moving to Australia,
0:18:35 > 0:18:39but I think today's going to be key, both for myself, erm,
0:18:39 > 0:18:42and for Saimah when she does her placement, as well.
0:18:42 > 0:18:46I think whilst we were out viewing houses yesterday,
0:18:46 > 0:18:51it was easy for me to find negative comments about each property
0:18:51 > 0:18:55because it felt that this is out of our reach, it's too expensive.
0:18:55 > 0:18:59Saimah's wanting to maintain the lifestyle that we've got
0:18:59 > 0:19:01and I think she was just....
0:19:01 > 0:19:03..it took her for six
0:19:03 > 0:19:07that she couldn't achieve that necessarily within Sydney.
0:19:07 > 0:19:10The thing that's going to persuade me is the job market
0:19:10 > 0:19:14and whether they can pay us enough to live in houses
0:19:14 > 0:19:19and afford the lifestyle in Australia, at least the lifestyle we're accustomed to.
0:19:19 > 0:19:23Asrar spends the morning with one of Australia's leading construction companies
0:19:23 > 0:19:27and he's arranged to meet manager Stuart Jamieson-Pate,
0:19:27 > 0:19:29who may be able to offer him some advice.
0:19:29 > 0:19:32I've got a few people teed up to meet you today
0:19:32 > 0:19:37- and I want to take you for a wander round our office, if that's OK. - Excellent.
0:19:37 > 0:19:40As Asrar finds out more about Aussie engineering,
0:19:40 > 0:19:43Saimah's meeting co-partner Fiona Reid
0:19:43 > 0:19:45at a specialist family law firm
0:19:45 > 0:19:49to see whether there is a demand for her skills.
0:19:49 > 0:19:52For me, I'd be trying to get into certain aspects of family law,
0:19:52 > 0:19:54mostly to do with separation
0:19:54 > 0:19:59- and contact orders with Social Services for children.- Right.
0:19:59 > 0:20:01Is there much of a call for that kind of work?
0:20:01 > 0:20:05The work that you're describing is very specialist jurisdiction
0:20:05 > 0:20:09and there's a call for good solicitors to do that type of work
0:20:09 > 0:20:11and the experience you have is valuable.
0:20:11 > 0:20:15That's good for Saimah. How about Asrar?
0:20:15 > 0:20:20Do you think someone with my experience would be someone that you would be interested in?
0:20:20 > 0:20:23Absolutely. We were really excited to see your CV.
0:20:23 > 0:20:27What you bring is not necessarily commonplace over here,
0:20:27 > 0:20:31so your set of skills is definitely required in Australia at the moment.
0:20:31 > 0:20:33Good. Thank you.
0:20:33 > 0:20:37It's a very positive start for both of them.
0:20:37 > 0:20:43But the move to Australia will be short-lived if their salaries can't fund the life they want.
0:20:43 > 0:20:45You would be coming in at graduate level,
0:20:45 > 0:20:48so your salary, if you're out in the suburbs,
0:20:48 > 0:20:52is likely to be a starting salary of around 45,000 maybe.
0:20:52 > 0:20:57And the range would be anything from between 45 to 95,000
0:20:57 > 0:21:00as you go through associate level,
0:21:00 > 0:21:02and then into the hundreds and above
0:21:02 > 0:21:05once you're a senior associate and partner level.
0:21:05 > 0:21:08I mean, even as a graduate, that sounds really positive
0:21:08 > 0:21:11and a lot more than you'd earn as a graduate in the UK.
0:21:11 > 0:21:14So if Saimah was to move back into law,
0:21:14 > 0:21:19she could earn up to £12,000 a year more than in the UK.
0:21:19 > 0:21:21But as the family's main wage earner,
0:21:21 > 0:21:23are Asrar's prospects as good?
0:21:23 > 0:21:28I want to get an idea of what someone of my experience could get in terms of a salary range.
0:21:28 > 0:21:34We're looking at somewhere within 125 to 135,000 dollars.
0:21:34 > 0:21:39That's kind of the number I have in my mind at the moment.
0:21:40 > 0:21:45Not only are his skills in demand, but he could earn over double his UK salary.
0:21:45 > 0:21:48What a result.
0:21:48 > 0:21:52After a day's work experience, they meet up with the rest of the family to chat things through.
0:21:52 > 0:21:55Are you OK? Having fun?
0:21:55 > 0:21:58- Hello, Daddy.- Are you all right?
0:21:58 > 0:22:05So, Saimah, you've just come back from your, er, job interview.
0:22:05 > 0:22:09- How was that?- It made me feel that, OK, if we did come out here,
0:22:09 > 0:22:12there's prospects for me, as well.
0:22:12 > 0:22:15- So really positive, then? - Yes. Really good experience today.
0:22:15 > 0:22:18We need to find out how it went with you, don't we?
0:22:18 > 0:22:21Oh, it was awful. Oh, it was awful!
0:22:21 > 0:22:24No, it was brilliant. It was really, really positive.
0:22:24 > 0:22:27They thought someone of my skill and my experience
0:22:27 > 0:22:33would be looking to get between 125 and 135,000 Australian dollars,
0:22:33 > 0:22:37- which is nearly double my current salary.- Wow!
0:22:37 > 0:22:40So it was like,
0:22:40 > 0:22:43"Where do you want me to sign?" almost!
0:22:43 > 0:22:48Clearly, Asrar is on cloud nine about the life they could afford.
0:22:48 > 0:22:50But does Saimah share his excitement?
0:22:50 > 0:22:55That's really good news, but I almost feel like, "What are you going to say now?"
0:22:55 > 0:22:59We saw the houses yesterday and it was almost like a done deal
0:22:59 > 0:23:03and we would be packing our bags and going home and saying,
0:23:03 > 0:23:07"Here we are in England and we're going to enjoy it."
0:23:07 > 0:23:12And today, it seems like it's back on track again.
0:23:14 > 0:23:17We've got a bit more thinking to do now, haven't we?
0:23:18 > 0:23:21It's been a really interesting day today.
0:23:21 > 0:23:24We've both had some positive work experiences
0:23:24 > 0:23:28and it's time to vote UK or Australia.
0:23:32 > 0:23:34BOTH: Australia.
0:23:36 > 0:23:40Why did you vote Australia?
0:23:40 > 0:23:44Because, on a purely job aspect,
0:23:44 > 0:23:47I think the opportunity for me
0:23:47 > 0:23:50to earn more money and become a solicitor
0:23:50 > 0:23:55- are a lot more easier here than they would be in the UK.- OK.
0:23:55 > 0:23:59What about you? How come you decided to vote for Australia again?
0:23:59 > 0:24:04Because I think the salary gives us the opportunity to work and live in Australia
0:24:04 > 0:24:08and I think that's what we really wanted, so that's why it's Australia.
0:24:17 > 0:24:21Seeing such a large potential boost in earnings
0:24:21 > 0:24:25has won Saimah over just a bit to Asrar's dream.
0:24:25 > 0:24:29But leaving behind the home they both love will be a tough call
0:24:29 > 0:24:32unless they can get a good price for it.
0:24:32 > 0:24:36We've sent two local estate agents around to their Blackburn home
0:24:36 > 0:24:39to give us their opinion on its value.
0:24:39 > 0:24:45They need to raise £280,000 to consider selling it.
0:24:45 > 0:24:50Nice, big, bright breakfast kitchen. Integrated appliances.
0:24:50 > 0:24:54- He's in Mummy's... - Yes, it's Mummy's kitchen, isn't it?
0:24:54 > 0:24:58- Mummy's kitchen.- Yes.
0:24:59 > 0:25:01It's a very good-sized dining area
0:25:01 > 0:25:05with a lovely through lounge.
0:25:05 > 0:25:09- Good-size room. - Baby's room!- Baby's room.
0:25:09 > 0:25:13A very good-size master bedroom with great beech wall-to-ceiling cupboards.
0:25:13 > 0:25:16Great asset to the family house.
0:25:16 > 0:25:18Good size. Well presented.
0:25:18 > 0:25:21I'd advise the vendor to market the property at around 280.
0:25:21 > 0:25:26For a quick sale, I'd advise them to consider anything from 265 upwards.
0:25:26 > 0:25:30- Mm.- It's a lovely, modern, detached property. Very exclusive.
0:25:30 > 0:25:35I would value this property in today's market at £285,000,
0:25:35 > 0:25:38with a quick sale of £275,000.
0:25:38 > 0:25:42- Mm.- That's what we'd expected.- Yes.
0:25:42 > 0:25:45- We're happy with that. - ASRAR LAUGHS
0:25:45 > 0:25:50The property values that the estate agent gave us was what we'd expect.
0:25:50 > 0:25:53We're relieved really that we got that price.
0:25:53 > 0:25:57But their house is only part of the financial package.
0:25:57 > 0:26:00We prepared a breakdown of the cost of living in Australia,
0:26:00 > 0:26:06and based on their calculations, they'll find out if they can afford to live in Sydney.
0:26:06 > 0:26:09Here's our shopping list.
0:26:11 > 0:26:15Well, that's coming out at £51.41.
0:26:15 > 0:26:21This shows us that we're going to spend about £20 more on our shopping in Australia
0:26:21 > 0:26:25- compared to what we do in the UK. - Yes.
0:26:25 > 0:26:28So taking all their expenses into consideration,
0:26:28 > 0:26:33will the Hussains' annual living costs be greater in the UK or Australia?
0:26:33 > 0:26:37That's a total of £65,772.
0:26:37 > 0:26:41- That's about 25 grand dearer.- 27...
0:26:41 > 0:26:45- 26,000. - It's nearly £27,000 dearer...
0:26:45 > 0:26:48- To live out there.- ..more expensive to live in Australia.
0:26:48 > 0:26:52That's only the top half of it. Let's look at what we're going to be earning.
0:26:52 > 0:26:59Our combined income is just over £60,000 in the UK at the moment,
0:26:59 > 0:27:04whereas we could be looking at 131,000 in Australia!
0:27:04 > 0:27:07We should be a lot better off.
0:27:07 > 0:27:09- Tally it up and have a look properly.- OK.
0:27:09 > 0:27:13With daily expenses nearly double that of the UK,
0:27:13 > 0:27:16can their joint salaries make up for this huge difference?
0:27:16 > 0:27:20Right, so the Australian figure minus the UK figure, we're...?
0:27:20 > 0:27:25We're looking at a £41,500 difference between the two figures.
0:27:25 > 0:27:29Right, so we'd be 41,000 better off in Australia.
0:27:29 > 0:27:32- It almost sounds too good to be true. - Yes.
0:27:32 > 0:27:37When you look in black and white, it's hard to justify why you'd want to stay in the UK
0:27:37 > 0:27:42when you can have everything you can have in Sydney and much, much more.
0:27:42 > 0:27:45- And be able to afford it.- Yes. - And save.
0:27:45 > 0:27:48And you've got children who are going to benefit from that.
0:27:48 > 0:27:51Are you going to tell my mother or shall I?
0:27:54 > 0:27:55SHE SPEAKS ARABIC
0:27:55 > 0:27:58- "Grandma..."- Bye-bye!
0:27:58 > 0:28:00The figures are clear.
0:28:00 > 0:28:03Despite Sydney's higher living costs,
0:28:03 > 0:28:07the Hussains would be much better off by living Down Under.
0:28:07 > 0:28:10Is Saimah going to vote with her head or her heart?
0:28:10 > 0:28:13We've just done the reality check.
0:28:13 > 0:28:16It was interesting and eye-opening at the same time.
0:28:16 > 0:28:19Now it's time to vote.
0:28:28 > 0:28:31BOTH: Australia.
0:28:34 > 0:28:37So, why did you vote Australia?
0:28:37 > 0:28:41Well, the figures do stack in favour of Australia
0:28:41 > 0:28:44that, as a family, we'd have a much better lifestyle here.
0:28:44 > 0:28:47e could afford everything we can in the UK and a lot more.
0:28:47 > 0:28:50Yes, I mean, the figures speak for themselves.
0:28:55 > 0:28:57Seeing the figures in black and white
0:28:57 > 0:29:00has convinced both Asrar and Saimah
0:29:00 > 0:29:03they can afford the life they want in Sydney.
0:29:03 > 0:29:05But with two small children,
0:29:05 > 0:29:09it's vital they find a lifestyle that will be just as rewarding.
0:29:12 > 0:29:15So to give them a taste of what Sydney has to offer,
0:29:15 > 0:29:19the Hussains are setting off for a day out at the local aquarium.
0:29:21 > 0:29:24The whole family have the opportunity to get up close
0:29:24 > 0:29:26to some of Australia's most dramatic sea life.
0:29:26 > 0:29:31Look at that. It's a big one, whatever it is!
0:29:31 > 0:29:33There's a big fishy there.
0:29:33 > 0:29:37Look! Turtle!
0:29:37 > 0:29:40- What are they waiting for? - Is it dinnertime for the fishes?
0:29:40 > 0:29:43Can you see that man?
0:29:43 > 0:29:46Let's have a look at the other fishies.
0:29:47 > 0:29:53This is our reef pool. In our reef pool, we have lots of different fish.
0:29:53 > 0:29:54They're having breakfast.
0:29:54 > 0:29:58Would you like to put some flake in for the fishies?
0:29:58 > 0:30:01Oooh, nearly! Look!
0:30:01 > 0:30:03Wow!
0:30:03 > 0:30:08- They're saying "Thank you very much!"- Oh, wow!
0:30:09 > 0:30:11We had a lovely time this morning.
0:30:11 > 0:30:16But I can't helping thinking we have a lovely time as a family wherever we go.
0:30:16 > 0:30:20I don't think I've seen anything that exceptional
0:30:20 > 0:30:23that makes me think, as a family unit,
0:30:23 > 0:30:26there's something more special here.
0:30:26 > 0:30:29Match that up with the fact that you've got Oceanworld there,
0:30:29 > 0:30:33a beach right next to it, and it's winter and 24 degrees.
0:30:33 > 0:30:38I don't think the weather is going to pull it for me.
0:30:38 > 0:30:40- Do you not?- No.
0:30:40 > 0:30:43It looks like Saimah's doubts are back.
0:30:43 > 0:30:48There's more things that a family need than sunshine and days out
0:30:48 > 0:30:54and one of those things, for me, is an Islamic community and an Islamic environment,
0:30:54 > 0:30:59and I think I've got some issues with what the children are going to get here.
0:30:59 > 0:31:01I think they'd get a lot more
0:31:01 > 0:31:05of an Islamic upbringing in the UK than they would here,
0:31:05 > 0:31:08and that's a concern to me.
0:31:08 > 0:31:11That took time to grow, didn't it, in the UK?
0:31:11 > 0:31:13It didn't happen overnight.
0:31:13 > 0:31:15We're the second generation,
0:31:15 > 0:31:19therefore we're enjoying the fruit of our parents' labour, so to speak.
0:31:19 > 0:31:23Whereas they're still going through that transition.
0:31:24 > 0:31:28- Or do you want it all ready for you? - Yes. That's how it's always been.
0:31:28 > 0:31:32Any time we want to go to the mosque and take advantage of a class
0:31:32 > 0:31:35or having a study group, we can just attend.
0:31:35 > 0:31:38We don't have to develop it or make it.
0:31:38 > 0:31:44I do share that concern, but I think it's starting to cast doubt over other factors.
0:31:45 > 0:31:49Yes, but they're very real concerns. We've got two children to raise.
0:31:49 > 0:31:52We want them to be good Muslims.
0:31:52 > 0:31:56They need to have... They need to have what we had.
0:31:56 > 0:32:01I think we can help and develop that learning here.
0:32:01 > 0:32:04Saimah's worries about her family's upbringing
0:32:04 > 0:32:08have cast a cloud over their day out.
0:32:08 > 0:32:10How will it affect her vote?
0:32:10 > 0:32:14We've done our lifestyle activity. It's been lots of fun.
0:32:14 > 0:32:16Now it's time to vote.
0:32:19 > 0:32:22- UK!- Australia.
0:32:23 > 0:32:24SHE LAUGHS
0:32:24 > 0:32:27Why did you vote for UK?
0:32:27 > 0:32:30Because I think as a child growing up there,
0:32:30 > 0:32:32I had some fantastic experiences.
0:32:32 > 0:32:38As a Muslim, being brought up there and being there now, I know I'm accepted.
0:32:38 > 0:32:45I know where I can go for support, where I can go for further learning
0:32:45 > 0:32:48and I need to be able to provide that for the kids.
0:32:48 > 0:32:51I think we can, over time, we can create something similar here
0:32:51 > 0:32:54and the children will be able to benefit.
0:32:54 > 0:32:59But I think it's something that we need to have a greater think about.
0:32:59 > 0:33:01But I think I can convince you.
0:33:03 > 0:33:06Obviously not! THEY LAUGH
0:33:07 > 0:33:11- UK, Mummy!- UK!- UK!
0:33:12 > 0:33:17Saimah's concerns are serious and could hinder the entire move.
0:33:17 > 0:33:19The family are visiting a local mosque
0:33:19 > 0:33:23where Asrar can find out about the facilities they offer.
0:33:28 > 0:33:32Where we come from in Blackburn, there's, erm,
0:33:32 > 0:33:35normally teaching for the children five days a week.
0:33:35 > 0:33:38Do you guys have something similar here in Sydney?
0:33:38 > 0:33:45- In this mosque, yes.- So, do you do it on an evening, after school, or is it on the weekend?
0:33:45 > 0:33:49- It depends. In the summertime, we do it earlier.- Right.
0:33:49 > 0:33:52In the wintertime, we do it from Maghrib to Isha.
0:33:52 > 0:33:56How big is the Muslim community within sort of this area in Dee Why?
0:33:56 > 0:33:59Compared with other communities, not that big.
0:33:59 > 0:34:02- It comes number four or five among the other communities.- Right.
0:34:02 > 0:34:04But it is very effective.
0:34:04 > 0:34:07- It is well known around the area. - OK.
0:34:07 > 0:34:10Has the trip to Dee Why Mosque helped Asrar decide
0:34:10 > 0:34:12whether they'd be able to bring up their children
0:34:12 > 0:34:15according to their wishes in Australia?
0:34:15 > 0:34:18I think the Islamic element,
0:34:18 > 0:34:20I feel the prayer side of it,
0:34:20 > 0:34:23I certainly feel think that Australia would be able to fulfil that.
0:34:23 > 0:34:26I think the difficulty is when it comes to the teaching.
0:34:26 > 0:34:30There might be a language difference, unless it's done in English.
0:34:30 > 0:34:34There may be a difficulty that we wouldn't face in the UK that we might here.
0:34:34 > 0:34:38Saimah's reaction isn't surprising. It's a concern I've got.
0:34:38 > 0:34:41I think she just expresses it slightly better than I do.
0:34:41 > 0:34:45She's always maintained that we're doing it for the family, me, her and the kids,
0:34:45 > 0:34:48and we want to make sure that it's right for all four of us.
0:34:52 > 0:34:55Saimah's worries about her children's upbringing
0:34:55 > 0:34:58have left her with big doubts over the move
0:34:58 > 0:35:02and reminded her of everything she'd be leaving behind.
0:35:02 > 0:35:07So, could seeing messages from friends and family be the deciding factor?
0:35:07 > 0:35:10As there are messages for all the family,
0:35:10 > 0:35:13the Hussains have decided to watch it together,
0:35:13 > 0:35:16although Yushua may have more important things on his mind!
0:35:18 > 0:35:20Hello, Saimah and Asrar.
0:35:20 > 0:35:23HE GREETS IN ARABIC
0:35:23 > 0:35:25Hi, Asrar, Saimah.
0:35:25 > 0:35:27Zeena and Yushua.
0:35:27 > 0:35:30The main qualities, obviously he's a very nice person.
0:35:30 > 0:35:32- Grandma!- Grandma.
0:35:32 > 0:35:35He always looks out for the family.
0:35:35 > 0:35:38He's very kind, very caring.
0:35:38 > 0:35:42If he's not going to be about, that'd be something we will miss quite a lot.
0:35:42 > 0:35:45If you do decide to stay, we can chat over the internet
0:35:45 > 0:35:48or phone calls or whatever.
0:35:48 > 0:35:52You'll be back often enough. We'll probably be sending you back when you do come!
0:35:52 > 0:35:57I hope it goes well. Obviously, give it some good consideration.
0:35:57 > 0:36:02I came here for my children and my husband and for my family,
0:36:02 > 0:36:04making their life better.
0:36:04 > 0:36:06You're going there
0:36:06 > 0:36:10because you're family is making life better.
0:36:10 > 0:36:15Because of the distance, she'll feel the loss quite a lot.
0:36:15 > 0:36:19- She's 63 now. - I have a heart problem.
0:36:19 > 0:36:21She feels, obviously with her illness,
0:36:21 > 0:36:24you don't know how long you've got left in this life.
0:36:24 > 0:36:26So whatever chance you can spend with your kids,
0:36:26 > 0:36:30and your kids with the parents, would be nice.
0:36:30 > 0:36:32It doesn't matter if one's missing,
0:36:32 > 0:36:34if we aren't together, it's not the same.
0:36:34 > 0:36:38I think the kids would really miss out.
0:36:38 > 0:36:41Maya's always asking for Zeena, so I think you should stay.
0:36:41 > 0:36:45I think Mum especially misses you because she hasn't seen you for a while.
0:36:45 > 0:36:50- But still I love you.- From us guys here, we miss you loads,
0:36:50 > 0:36:55but you need to think long and hard and make the best decision for yourselves.
0:36:55 > 0:37:00We'll always miss you and we'll try and support you as best we can. See you.
0:37:01 > 0:37:04It was pretty much what I expected our families to say.
0:37:04 > 0:37:07- What's that, Mummy?- That's a raisin.
0:37:07 > 0:37:12They know we've got to make a choice and the reasons why we're trying to make a choice,
0:37:12 > 0:37:16but they're worried that if we do decide to go,
0:37:16 > 0:37:20it's a big change for them, as well as for ourselves.
0:37:20 > 0:37:25Well, yes, I could feel that, as well. I could feel that...
0:37:25 > 0:37:28..they were thinking of us, but of themselves, as well.
0:37:28 > 0:37:32If I have to do something that's more beneficial for my family, I'm going to do it.
0:37:32 > 0:37:36I'm not going to worry about who I'm leaving behind or how they feel.
0:37:36 > 0:37:39That's not a concern to me.
0:37:39 > 0:37:40That's not...
0:37:40 > 0:37:44- Whilst it's a consideration, it's not a deciding factor.- No.
0:37:48 > 0:37:51Seeing messages has reinforced
0:37:51 > 0:37:55just how much the future of their family matters to Saimah and Asrar.
0:37:55 > 0:37:57But where will they decide to spend it?
0:37:57 > 0:38:00After a week of real highs and lows,
0:38:00 > 0:38:03it's time for the Hussains to make their final decision.
0:38:06 > 0:38:10My opinion all the way through has been slightly different to Saimah's.
0:38:10 > 0:38:13She's been looking back at what we've got in the UK.
0:38:13 > 0:38:17I'm looking at what we could achieve in Sydney.
0:38:17 > 0:38:21I know there's no comparing Blackburn to Sydney.
0:38:21 > 0:38:22I do know that.
0:38:22 > 0:38:28I just couldn't equate to how houses could be so much more expensive,
0:38:28 > 0:38:31so I thought this was an impossible dream.
0:38:31 > 0:38:34I think the reality check gave her that figure at the end,
0:38:34 > 0:38:37which meant she was a lot more confident
0:38:37 > 0:38:41in what we were going to be doing in Sydney and what we'd be able to achieve.
0:38:41 > 0:38:45I said to Asrar afterwards, I felt like I was having palpitations.
0:38:45 > 0:38:48My heart was really beating because I thought,
0:38:48 > 0:38:53"Blooming heck, we're really going to have to make a serious decision now."
0:38:53 > 0:38:57Do we want to live in Sydney? Is that a lifestyle we want for ourselves
0:38:57 > 0:38:59and, more importantly, for our children?
0:39:00 > 0:39:04It's been a really amazing week, this week, in Australia.
0:39:04 > 0:39:08We've had fantastic experiences, with a few ups and downs.
0:39:08 > 0:39:10Now it's time to vote.
0:39:15 > 0:39:18- Australia!- Undecided!
0:39:19 > 0:39:21- You're undecided?- I'm undecided,
0:39:21 > 0:39:25because even though I know we can make it work,
0:39:25 > 0:39:28having all the finances sorted out,
0:39:28 > 0:39:32and knowing that the housing is affordable, as well,
0:39:32 > 0:39:36I'm just still a little bit concerned about...
0:39:36 > 0:39:39..how this might strain on our family life
0:39:39 > 0:39:42- and just the change. - BABY CRIES
0:39:42 > 0:39:46If it isn't broke, maybe we don't need to try and fix it.
0:39:46 > 0:39:47You've gone Australia.
0:39:47 > 0:39:52As the week went on, we found that we could live here and afford to live here
0:39:52 > 0:39:57and still maintain the lifestyle that we've got in the UK, if not better it.
0:39:57 > 0:40:01I know you've got concerns over...
0:40:01 > 0:40:03..whether we've got the community base here,
0:40:03 > 0:40:05but I think we can find that in Sydney,
0:40:05 > 0:40:08not necessarily in the area that we've been this week,
0:40:08 > 0:40:12but within Sydney, I think we can find it.
0:40:17 > 0:40:23Despite the promise of better incomes and Asrar's best efforts to win her round,
0:40:23 > 0:40:25Saimah still needed convincing
0:40:25 > 0:40:29before she was ready to leave behind her life in Blackburn.
0:40:29 > 0:40:31They've been home for nearly two months now,
0:40:31 > 0:40:33so I've come to find out,
0:40:33 > 0:40:37has anything changed for the Hussains?
0:40:37 > 0:40:41Saimah, how did you find the whole Australian experience?
0:40:41 > 0:40:43It was fantastic,
0:40:43 > 0:40:46and I do worry that I come across as a little cold,
0:40:46 > 0:40:49because I am that pragmatic
0:40:49 > 0:40:51and I do have to be objectionable
0:40:51 > 0:40:57about whether it's going to be a good experience, a bad experience, whether we can afford it,
0:40:57 > 0:41:01whether the lifestyle is for us, what we're giving up here.
0:41:01 > 0:41:05Blackburn is holding you back, isn't it,
0:41:05 > 0:41:07because you're happy here?
0:41:07 > 0:41:10Who'd have ever thought?!
0:41:10 > 0:41:14- But you are!- Yes. - And you're honest.- Yes.
0:41:14 > 0:41:19So Saimah is dead set on the UK. But what about Asrar?
0:41:19 > 0:41:25I'm still in the same boat I was in Australia, living the dream!
0:41:25 > 0:41:29But I think if we do get a job offer in the future,
0:41:29 > 0:41:31we'll seriously consider it,
0:41:31 > 0:41:35especially when you put in the other factors, like the good weather,
0:41:35 > 0:41:37- the good life that we experienced there.- Yes.
0:41:37 > 0:41:39You can't ignore them.
0:41:39 > 0:41:43So, if that huge job did come your way,
0:41:43 > 0:41:46would you be happy to make the move?
0:41:46 > 0:41:50It's difficult for me to definitely say yes.
0:41:50 > 0:41:55With my logical head on, I think definitely, yes, it is.
0:41:55 > 0:42:00But overall, having lived the life that I've lived here and been completely satisfied,
0:42:00 > 0:42:05- I really don't feel that I need to go to Australia for anything more. - Yes.
0:42:05 > 0:42:10For me, there would be no regrets if we stayed here.
0:42:10 > 0:42:13But if a fantastic offer came for Asrar and we didn't take it,
0:42:13 > 0:42:16there'd be massive regrets on his part.
0:42:16 > 0:42:19I really hope that it all works out.
0:42:19 > 0:42:22Perhaps if that job offer does come in,
0:42:22 > 0:42:25I'm not sure if I came back in a year whether you'd be here!
0:42:25 > 0:42:30You're right. I'm absolutely not sure either where we'd be, Nikki.
0:42:30 > 0:42:35Is it going to be Blackburn, Sydney, or is it going to be something else? We'll have to wait and see!
0:42:35 > 0:42:40- I'm sure wherever we'll be, we'll be happy and that's the main thing.- Yes.
0:42:40 > 0:42:43That's for sure!
0:42:45 > 0:42:50So Asrar's still keen to consider a new life Down Under for his family
0:42:50 > 0:42:53if the right job opportunity came long.
0:42:53 > 0:42:57For Saimah, she loves her life back here in the UK,
0:42:57 > 0:43:01but would support her husband if it was the perfect job.
0:43:01 > 0:43:04For now, they're very happy with their life here in Blackburn.
