0:00:02 > 0:00:06Making a new start in a new country is always a gamble,

0:00:06 > 0:00:09but when you've faced tough times at home,

0:00:09 > 0:00:13the grass can look a lot greener on the far side of the world.

0:00:13 > 0:00:18For one family, a chance to find out could decide their future.

0:00:19 > 0:00:24The Green family believe in living life with a positive attitude,

0:00:24 > 0:00:27but financial worries have put their world under threat.

0:00:28 > 0:00:31I'm working harder, I'm getting more stressed.

0:00:31 > 0:00:35A big mortgage to pay, bills to pay. It takes its toll, I think.

0:00:35 > 0:00:40So can Australia provide the new life they dream of?

0:00:42 > 0:00:45We're going to be quite unstable financially for the first few years.

0:00:45 > 0:00:48I wouldn't even consider living here.

0:00:49 > 0:00:54It's a huge gamble for the family and the stakes couldn't be higher.

0:00:54 > 0:00:58It's a real wrench. A real wrench.

0:01:22 > 0:01:25With its sunny climate and connections to the UK,

0:01:25 > 0:01:29Australia has always been a favourite destination

0:01:29 > 0:01:31for Brits seeking a new life.

0:01:31 > 0:01:36But behind leaving everything and everyone you know

0:01:36 > 0:01:38can be much harder than you expect.

0:01:41 > 0:01:45The Greens have one week to experience living in Australia,

0:01:45 > 0:01:49before deciding whether to make the move Down Under for good.

0:01:49 > 0:01:51Making that choice though

0:01:51 > 0:01:55could mean leaving their home in St Albans far behind them.

0:01:55 > 0:01:59They fly from London via Singapore, spending 20 hours in the air

0:01:59 > 0:02:02and covering almost 10,000 miles.

0:02:02 > 0:02:07After touching down, thoughts quickly turn to the possibilities of living in Australia.

0:02:07 > 0:02:09The journey doesn't concern us really.

0:02:09 > 0:02:13It's just the thought of our grandparents not being able to come out.

0:02:13 > 0:02:16- It would put a few people off coming to visit.- Yeah!

0:02:16 > 0:02:18Mind you, when they see the palm trees!

0:02:18 > 0:02:22It's a typically positive start to the Greens' week,

0:02:22 > 0:02:25and a world away from their lives back in St Albans.

0:02:28 > 0:02:33School nurse, Sally, and her husband, Mark, are parents

0:02:33 > 0:02:38to 19-year-old Jake and daughters Ella, 15, and 11-year-old old Izzy.

0:02:40 > 0:02:46Freelance photographer Mark has worked hard to build his business and support the family

0:02:46 > 0:02:49but the recession has meant tough times.

0:02:49 > 0:02:54The lack of work has repercussions with the family because it means I'm seeing less and less of them.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57I'm working harder, I'm getting more stressed.

0:02:57 > 0:03:01A big mortgage to pay, bills to pay. It takes its toll, I think.

0:03:01 > 0:03:04It's a time for change.

0:03:04 > 0:03:07Desperate for a better quality of life,

0:03:07 > 0:03:10the family were set to emigrate three years ago,

0:03:10 > 0:03:14but couldn't sell their property, and found themselves trapped.

0:03:14 > 0:03:18I'd come to the conclusion that that was it. We were going to have to stay in the UK.

0:03:18 > 0:03:21We literally felt it was all taken away from us.

0:03:21 > 0:03:25And unable to escape, things went from bad to worse.

0:03:25 > 0:03:27We went through a stage where, financially,

0:03:27 > 0:03:31we were really struggling and I wasn't sleeping at night.

0:03:31 > 0:03:36My Mum, who had had Alzheimer's, died quite suddenly. My Dad had had a stroke.

0:03:36 > 0:03:39Jake had been beaten up, Ella had had a spinal operation

0:03:39 > 0:03:43and finally, I ended up in hospital with pneumonia.

0:03:43 > 0:03:45I think we just thought, enough is enough.

0:03:45 > 0:03:50It's been particularly hard, the last few years especially.

0:03:50 > 0:03:53That's why we've been thinking about perhaps moving to Australia.

0:03:53 > 0:03:57The Greens are pinning their hopes on a better life Down Under

0:03:57 > 0:04:02but everything hinges on Sally getting visa sponsorship for an Australian hospital.

0:04:02 > 0:04:07If I don't get the sponsorship, I don't get the dream for either myself or my family,

0:04:07 > 0:04:10which would be very difficult.

0:04:10 > 0:04:14Student Jake may follow his family after completing his degree

0:04:14 > 0:04:19but for Ella and Izzy, leaving friends and relatives will be far more immediate.

0:04:19 > 0:04:24I'm worried about starting again because even though I know the lifestyle would be better,

0:04:24 > 0:04:25I've got amazing friends here.

0:04:25 > 0:04:29So to leave them is going to be really hard.

0:04:29 > 0:04:34And for Sally, leaving her Dad behind will be a painful decision to make.

0:04:34 > 0:04:37It really worries me, leaving my Dad behind.

0:04:37 > 0:04:40When we were looking at emigrating a few years ago,

0:04:40 > 0:04:45about the time we would have actually landed in Australia, was actually the time that my Mum died.

0:04:45 > 0:04:48I think it was a real reality check because had we landed then,

0:04:48 > 0:04:51I would have been on the next plane home again.

0:04:51 > 0:04:54So you realise that wherever you are and whatever you're doing,

0:04:54 > 0:04:57there's always going to be a pull back to the UK.

0:04:57 > 0:05:01The Greens are willing to give up a lot to move Down Under,

0:05:01 > 0:05:04but there's no guarantee that life there will be any better.

0:05:04 > 0:05:08It's a big test of their positive outlook on life.

0:05:08 > 0:05:11It's sink or swim, really. We've got to try and do something.

0:05:11 > 0:05:15- We just want a future.- We just want a future, not only for ourselves.

0:05:15 > 0:05:20We're really conscious of the children. It's now or never really.

0:05:21 > 0:05:26If ever a family needed a new start, it's the Greens.

0:05:26 > 0:05:30But with so much riding on the week ahead,

0:05:30 > 0:05:34can the reality of life in Oz live up to their hopes?

0:05:34 > 0:05:37Or could their dreams be starting to unravel?

0:05:43 > 0:05:50The family want to find out if Perth in Western Australia could be the right place for them.

0:05:50 > 0:05:54It's a fast growing city with low unemployment and a booming economy,

0:05:54 > 0:05:57and should be ideal for Mark and Sally's work prospects.

0:05:57 > 0:05:59But can it live up to their hopes?

0:06:03 > 0:06:08Home for the week is the beachside suburb of Mullaloo, just north of the city.

0:06:08 > 0:06:12This four-bedroom house is close to the beach with plenty of space to spread out,

0:06:12 > 0:06:15and should give them a great first taste of Aussie living.

0:06:16 > 0:06:19Oh, wow! Look! This is nice.

0:06:19 > 0:06:23- Lovely.- Put the kettle on then!

0:06:23 > 0:06:28They like what they see, but the reality of what's to come is starting to hit home.

0:06:28 > 0:06:34It does suddenly hit you that you've arrived somewhere and actually, you don't know a soul.

0:06:34 > 0:06:39We're looking forward to looking around and see what Perth's got to offer.

0:06:39 > 0:06:42I feel like, as a family, we're ready for an adventure.

0:06:46 > 0:06:51Back in the UK, the Greens live in this four-bedroom house in St Albans.

0:06:51 > 0:06:54It's perfectly suited to their needs

0:06:54 > 0:06:56and they're hoping to find something similar in Perth.

0:06:56 > 0:06:59We'd love to have a bedroom each for the children

0:06:59 > 0:07:04and somewhere that's flexible for people to come and stay.

0:07:04 > 0:07:06I'm hoping that loads of people will come and stay.

0:07:06 > 0:07:09The kids desperately want a swimming pool, of course.

0:07:09 > 0:07:12It's more the area really, to be honest.

0:07:12 > 0:07:17Hopefully, if it's near the beach and near amenities, we'll be very happy won't we?

0:07:18 > 0:07:21They hope to raise £300,000 in equity from the sale,

0:07:21 > 0:07:26and have a budget of up to £600,000 in mind for a future Australian home.

0:07:28 > 0:07:32We've arranged to give the Greens a taste of Perth's housing market.

0:07:32 > 0:07:38We'll show them three options, based upon what they want from their ideal home,

0:07:38 > 0:07:42what they can afford and the real cost of property Down Under.

0:07:42 > 0:07:45After seeing for themselves what's on offer,

0:07:45 > 0:07:49we'll reveal to the Greens the price of each of the houses.

0:07:49 > 0:07:54The search begins in the suburb of Ellenbrook, on the north edge of the city.

0:07:54 > 0:07:58It's a relatively new area with lots of on-going development.

0:07:58 > 0:08:01And being on the outskirts, should offer value for money.

0:08:02 > 0:08:06But savings on prices could come at the cost of an established location.

0:08:07 > 0:08:11The four-bedroom single storey property they've come to see

0:08:11 > 0:08:16is a typical open plan Aussie home, but what will they make of it?

0:08:18 > 0:08:20- Nice!- Wow!- Lovely flooring.

0:08:20 > 0:08:22This could be your chill out room, guys.

0:08:24 > 0:08:29Wow, look at this! Izzy, look, walk-in wardrobes. Wow, look, there's two!

0:08:30 > 0:08:35The house's stylish interior and open spaces seem to be going down well.

0:08:35 > 0:08:39Would you like living in a place like this? Open plan?

0:08:39 > 0:08:41Yeah, I'm very open to anything, actually.

0:08:41 > 0:08:43I don't know if it would be too noisy.

0:08:43 > 0:08:47Cooking, talking, eating, someone playing pool.

0:08:48 > 0:08:51Mark seems less impressed, so it's on to the bedrooms.

0:08:51 > 0:08:56At least there's no fighting over which room you're going to have. They're all the same.

0:08:56 > 0:09:02- They're all big enough for double beds though.- Better than at home. - Yeah. Anything bigger, really.

0:09:02 > 0:09:06Outside there's a decent sized garden with space to entertain.

0:09:07 > 0:09:10It's very small but it's beautifully designed, isn't it?

0:09:10 > 0:09:13If we didn't care about a pool, it would be nice.

0:09:13 > 0:09:18- Guys, look, a pizza oven. Rather than a barbecue.- That's nice.

0:09:18 > 0:09:20I like the property,

0:09:20 > 0:09:23but the fact it hasn't got a pool would be a no-no really.

0:09:23 > 0:09:27It's all nicely done but it's not for us.

0:09:28 > 0:09:31This house hasn't exactly blown them away,

0:09:31 > 0:09:34and they have no idea of its price,

0:09:34 > 0:09:37So how close is it to their £600,000 budget?

0:09:38 > 0:09:43- I reckon it's just under two hundred. - Yeah. So, 195 in UK pounds?

0:09:43 > 0:09:47- I think so.- Yeah.- OK, shall we have a look and see?- Great. Let's find out.

0:09:52 > 0:09:54- And?- Wow! Three twenty.- That's more.

0:09:54 > 0:09:56That's a lot more than we thought, isn't it?

0:09:56 > 0:09:59So it's the equivalent of £320,000.

0:09:59 > 0:10:03That surprises me. I wouldn't even consider living here

0:10:03 > 0:10:06because we're so far from the sea, there's no swimming pool here,

0:10:06 > 0:10:11it's too open plan for me and its facilities for the children.

0:10:11 > 0:10:13There's no infrastructure round here at the moment.

0:10:15 > 0:10:17This house is £280,000 under budget,

0:10:17 > 0:10:20which would leave them virtually mortgage free.

0:10:20 > 0:10:22But the lack of facilities

0:10:22 > 0:10:25and location hasn't impressed the Greens.

0:10:25 > 0:10:29So can the next house will offer them more of what they want?

0:10:29 > 0:10:32The destination is the family suburb of Darch.

0:10:32 > 0:10:37With plenty of schools, shops and sports facilities close by

0:10:37 > 0:10:41and the beach a short drive away, it offers a far more lively location.

0:10:41 > 0:10:45And with four bedrooms over two storeys, it's a much closer match

0:10:45 > 0:10:49to their UK home, which should help the Greens feel more at home.

0:10:52 > 0:10:54Every boy's dream, Jake.

0:10:54 > 0:10:56An office probably.

0:10:56 > 0:10:59- Yeah, that's nice. Open plan. - I like that.- This is lovely.

0:10:59 > 0:11:03So far so good.

0:11:03 > 0:11:06I think it would be lovely for when we had visitors

0:11:06 > 0:11:10because it would be a bit separate from the family, which is nice.

0:11:10 > 0:11:15They've got their own wardrobe, en-suite shower room. It would be really lovely wouldn't it?

0:11:15 > 0:11:17That's Grandad sorted!

0:11:17 > 0:11:21Upstairs, there's a further three bedrooms, so plenty of room for everyone.

0:11:21 > 0:11:24In fact, things seem too good to be true.

0:11:26 > 0:11:29- This is a lovely sitting area. - Great. We could use it as a dining area.

0:11:29 > 0:11:32I didn't realise there was a main road here though.

0:11:32 > 0:11:36- It's a shame because that's the swimming pool.- Oh, right.

0:11:36 > 0:11:44- I thought this was the back of the house.- It is the back of the house but it's a main road.- Oh, right.

0:11:44 > 0:11:47- You can't have everything, can you? - No, you can't.

0:11:47 > 0:11:53A swimming pool was high on the Greens' wish list, but a house next to a main road definitely wasn't.

0:11:53 > 0:11:56Even so, they're staying as positive as ever.

0:11:57 > 0:12:00So after discovering that property one was affordable,

0:12:00 > 0:12:03do they think that property two is within their budget?

0:12:06 > 0:12:10- Moment of truth. How much is it worth?- What do you reckon?

0:12:10 > 0:12:13I think it's about £600,000. English pounds.

0:12:13 > 0:12:17If you think about it, you don't know much about the area,

0:12:17 > 0:12:21but what we've seen driving up, it's not like the beach, it's not loads of shops.

0:12:21 > 0:12:25I was thinking about 800,000 dollars.

0:12:28 > 0:12:34- Oh, wow!- 850,000 dollars. I was fifty thousand out.

0:12:34 > 0:12:38So at the moment with the exchange rate, that's about 540,000 UK pounds.

0:12:38 > 0:12:42- That's about what I thought. - Yeah, that's what I thought.

0:12:42 > 0:12:45- It's a good price for the house but it reflects in the location.- Yeah.

0:12:45 > 0:12:50- If you were near a beach... - I suppose it would be over a million.- Oh, yeah.

0:12:50 > 0:12:55Although this house offered plenty, it still hasn't lived up to the Greens' hopes.

0:12:55 > 0:12:59Everything now rests on their final stop.

0:12:59 > 0:13:02The third house is in the Ashfield area.

0:13:02 > 0:13:07It's close to the city centre with good schools and popular with families.

0:13:07 > 0:13:10A central location should mean an easier commute to work,

0:13:10 > 0:13:12but will it come with a jump in price?

0:13:12 > 0:13:17With a pool, plenty of room, and a great location, on paper,

0:13:17 > 0:13:20this house should offer everything the Greens are looking for.

0:13:20 > 0:13:22Wow!

0:13:22 > 0:13:24Wow! This is lovely.

0:13:24 > 0:13:28I think we should buy this now!

0:13:28 > 0:13:30Yeah. Sold to the Green family!

0:13:30 > 0:13:33But bear in mind, how far are we from the sea?

0:13:33 > 0:13:35That's true. But we're near the city.

0:13:35 > 0:13:38Yet again, the family are seeing the bright side.

0:13:38 > 0:13:42But could choosing between the city and beach be a drawback?

0:13:42 > 0:13:46- Oh, wow! That looks like a lovely garden.- Yeah, that's nice.

0:13:46 > 0:13:51- Wow! Look at that pool!- Is there a swimming pool down there?

0:13:53 > 0:13:59- Let's have a look.- Look, it's got the little huts we like. It's got a table and seats.

0:14:01 > 0:14:04- This is nice.- What's in there? Is that an en-suite?- Yeah.

0:14:04 > 0:14:08My blue and white duvet would go so good in here with my white furniture.

0:14:08 > 0:14:12- You reckon this is your room, do you?! That's a nice, bit en-suite. - It's huge!

0:14:12 > 0:14:15The house seems to have won everyone over.

0:14:15 > 0:14:18But will it be worth giving up on a beach location?

0:14:18 > 0:14:20It's got a swimming pool, it's got the grounds.

0:14:20 > 0:14:25From what I've seen so far, it's got the living accommodation, which we all like.

0:14:25 > 0:14:28- It's near the city. - It's near the city.

0:14:28 > 0:14:34So, for me, this property would be worth sacrificing the beach for.

0:14:34 > 0:14:38Well, that's progress, and there's just the downstairs to investigate.

0:14:40 > 0:14:44- Isn't this fantastic!- It looks outside to the pool as well.

0:14:44 > 0:14:46That is lovely.

0:14:46 > 0:14:49It could actually be like a visitor accommodation as well. It could be both.

0:14:49 > 0:14:51You could have pool or table tennis there.

0:14:51 > 0:14:56It's big enough for a whole family to stay in if you think how big it is.

0:14:56 > 0:14:59You could have a double bed there and a couple of singles here.

0:14:59 > 0:15:05- Almost like this is accommodation come day lounge.- Yeah.- Beautiful!

0:15:06 > 0:15:09'The Greens seem truly smitten by this house.

0:15:09 > 0:15:12'But will its location put it over budget?

0:15:12 > 0:15:16'Everything rests on the turn of a card.'

0:15:16 > 0:15:22- My guess is it's going to be over £1m.- I think a million.

0:15:22 > 0:15:26- It won't be over. - The moment of truth.

0:15:26 > 0:15:31One million! £635,000!

0:15:31 > 0:15:35How? My goodness.

0:15:35 > 0:15:41We just don't know, do we? We have no idea of prices or location.

0:15:41 > 0:15:43That is just incredible.

0:15:43 > 0:15:45We said there's going to be a compromise

0:15:45 > 0:15:50so either the accommodation is small because you're near the sea

0:15:50 > 0:15:53or because you're near the sea, you won't need a swimming pool.

0:15:53 > 0:15:57It's changing what we said originally.

0:15:57 > 0:16:02The goal posts are changing but they always do.

0:16:02 > 0:16:07'The Greens seem to have found what they're looking for, but it comes with a big price tag.

0:16:07 > 0:16:10'And with uncertainty over their job prospects,

0:16:10 > 0:16:15'will it put them under the same financial strain they want to escape from?

0:16:15 > 0:16:20'The family have seen three different housing options with two clear financial choices.

0:16:20 > 0:16:26'The first offered a mortgage free future but it fell short

0:16:26 > 0:16:30'of the lifestyle Mark and Sally were used to and would want.

0:16:30 > 0:16:36'The second house offered stylish interiors and the swimming pool they craved,

0:16:36 > 0:16:39'but it came with noisy neighbours.

0:16:39 > 0:16:43'House number three offered everything they wanted in an Aussie home

0:16:43 > 0:16:47'but they wouldn't be able to pay for it on Sally's wages alone.

0:16:47 > 0:16:52'So which way will they vote on houses, Australia or UK?'

0:16:52 > 0:16:56Based on the properties we've seen, we've all decided to vote for...

0:16:56 > 0:16:58ALL: Australia!

0:16:58 > 0:17:02We got them the wrong way round?

0:17:02 > 0:17:07Well done, we all picked Australia.

0:17:07 > 0:17:12- Oh, wow! Amazing.- You could probably tell that.- Not surprising!

0:17:12 > 0:17:16We've suddenly realised that maybe the goal posts have changed a bit.

0:17:16 > 0:17:22It's a little about money, a little about locations and ease of access to Perth.

0:17:22 > 0:17:28It's more about the lifestyle and less about having the beach on our doorstep

0:17:28 > 0:17:31if it has to be a choice.

0:17:31 > 0:17:34I'm optimistic with the price of this property.

0:17:34 > 0:17:39Tomorrow, once we have an idea of the job market

0:17:39 > 0:17:45and how much we can earn, we can sit down

0:17:45 > 0:17:48and have a look at prices.

0:17:52 > 0:17:56A full house of votes is a great start for the Greens.

0:17:56 > 0:17:59Although it comes with a hefty price tag.

0:17:59 > 0:18:03The home they fell for is way over budget,

0:18:03 > 0:18:07and unless they find good work prospects and salaries,

0:18:07 > 0:18:10their new start could be a real challenge.

0:18:10 > 0:18:16'Back in the UK, Mark runs his own freelance photography business.

0:18:16 > 0:18:18'He's built it up over the ten years,

0:18:18 > 0:18:24'but the recession has hit him hard and motivated the move to Australia.'

0:18:24 > 0:18:27The bread and butter has gone in my industry.

0:18:27 > 0:18:30The more lucrative work is getting harder to find.

0:18:30 > 0:18:34'Mark hopes Australia could offer better prospects.

0:18:34 > 0:18:38'But it's Sally's nursing qualifications that hold the key to the move.

0:18:38 > 0:18:41'As the main visa applicant, the family's dreams

0:18:41 > 0:18:45'rest on her chances of securing a work sponsorship.'

0:18:45 > 0:18:49It would be hard to give this job up because I love it.

0:18:49 > 0:18:54As it's a passport to be able to relocate to Australia

0:18:54 > 0:18:56and a better future for Mark's career,

0:18:56 > 0:19:03I'm happy to do it. I will be sad to give this job up.

0:19:03 > 0:19:06'In Perth, there's a lot riding on the day ahead.

0:19:06 > 0:19:09'She's visiting one of the hospitals

0:19:09 > 0:19:12'to find out about her prospects in Australia.'

0:19:12 > 0:19:16I feel like I'm going for an interview. I feel quit nervous.

0:19:18 > 0:19:21'Director of Nursing and ex-pat, Cath Smith,

0:19:21 > 0:19:25'is on hand to give her an insight into working Down Under.

0:19:25 > 0:19:28'Here, Sally would work as a paediatric nurse.

0:19:28 > 0:19:33'To put her bedside manner to the test, she's meeting Cherie Crocker and Jeffrey.'

0:19:33 > 0:19:39Hello, Jeffrey, Hello. I understand it's bronchiolitis season.

0:19:39 > 0:19:44- Is that what's Jeffrey's got?- Yes. - Poor Jeffrey, that's not very nice.

0:19:44 > 0:19:50In the UK, with the bronchiolitis season, I associate it with being cold and wintry.

0:19:50 > 0:19:52Even though it's not like that here,

0:19:52 > 0:19:57it's interesting that your winter is still the broncholitis season.

0:19:57 > 0:20:00- How have you found the nursing care on here?- It's excellent.

0:20:00 > 0:20:02If you've got questions, they answer them.

0:20:02 > 0:20:08They help you and give you a break. Anything you need, they help you.

0:20:08 > 0:20:12That's lovely. Do you think it will be a nice place for me to come and work?

0:20:12 > 0:20:16- It would. - You think people are friendly? - They are.- That's lovely.

0:20:16 > 0:20:21That's important to me. It's going to be a big move coming from the UK.

0:20:21 > 0:20:26To know I'm going to come to a unit that's friendly is lovely.

0:20:26 > 0:20:28'It's vital Sally can secure a visa,

0:20:28 > 0:20:32'but for Mark it's just as important he can find work,

0:20:32 > 0:20:37'or the Greens will be jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

0:20:37 > 0:20:42'To get some advice, he's spending the day on the beach at a lifestyle shoot.'

0:20:42 > 0:20:48I'm hoping to find out what the freelance possibilities are from my colleagues.

0:20:48 > 0:20:52It's going to be a great experience. Glad to be here. Looking forward to it.

0:20:52 > 0:20:56'He's meeting freelance photographers Erick and Ian

0:20:56 > 0:20:59to find out about work prospects in Perth.'

0:20:59 > 0:21:02It's important for me to get up and running.

0:21:02 > 0:21:06I wanted to know what the freelance possibilities are here in Perth.

0:21:06 > 0:21:11Commercially, there are good clients here for advertising.

0:21:11 > 0:21:14There are good clients here for mining.

0:21:14 > 0:21:20It's a matter of having your own niche and get part of the market.

0:21:20 > 0:21:24Sure.

0:21:24 > 0:21:29If you are going to come over here and going to see clients

0:21:29 > 0:21:34it will be two years before you start getting a good flow of clients

0:21:34 > 0:21:36because it takes time.

0:21:36 > 0:21:41'Building up a new career could take time and a lot of effort

0:21:41 > 0:21:44'but are the rewards worth it?'

0:21:44 > 0:21:49Let's just wait for that sun to come out.

0:21:49 > 0:21:55Over here, photographers charge between £1,200-£2,500 a day.

0:21:57 > 0:22:01Coming over here, you would be able to get on your feet.

0:22:01 > 0:22:07I have to get on my feet pretty quickly, I've got three kids. My mentality is different.

0:22:07 > 0:22:13I'll have to go into areas or go to the mining up north and do some research.

0:22:13 > 0:22:17'The rates sound good, but with no guarantee that Mark will find work,

0:22:17 > 0:22:23'it's even more important that Sally has a good chance of getting that sponsored visa.'

0:22:24 > 0:22:28There's going to be a lot of opportunities for nurses in WA health.

0:22:28 > 0:22:33This particular hospital is expanding.

0:22:33 > 0:22:38We are recruiting and we also have the development of a new tertiary hospital.

0:22:38 > 0:22:42That's going to be completed in 2014

0:22:42 > 0:22:46so we will be reliant on a number of overseas recruitments

0:22:46 > 0:22:49for the workforce of that hospital.

0:22:50 > 0:22:57'In the UK, a nurse with Sally's experience and qualifications could earn £34,000.

0:22:57 > 0:23:02'In Australia, she'll need to at least match that to make the move financially viable.'

0:23:02 > 0:23:05I've printed off a salary sheet for you

0:23:05 > 0:23:10which explains how the salaries work for nurses in WA.

0:23:10 > 0:23:13I've worked out roughly from your CV

0:23:13 > 0:23:18that you'd be a level 1.5 which is 62,262 a year.

0:23:18 > 0:23:21That's a basic salary.

0:23:21 > 0:23:26That probably equates to about £40,000.

0:23:26 > 0:23:31It's obviously a better salary. That makes me feel positive. Thank you.

0:23:31 > 0:23:37I feel like a huge weight's been lifted off my shoulders.

0:23:37 > 0:23:40The future of my family emigrating out here

0:23:40 > 0:23:43relies on me getting a job and a visa sponsorship.

0:23:43 > 0:23:46I was beginning to feel that was impossible.

0:23:46 > 0:23:51Now it's a certainty. It's a total change and it's lovely.

0:23:51 > 0:23:54'Australia seems to offer lots of promise.

0:23:54 > 0:23:58'But is it worth giving up the job she loves to work full-time?

0:23:58 > 0:24:01'The future of the move lies in Sally's hands.

0:24:01 > 0:24:05Based on our experience, our vote today is..

0:24:05 > 0:24:09- Both!- Australia!

0:24:09 > 0:24:13Oh! Australia! That's fantastic! Brilliant!

0:24:13 > 0:24:19- I can't choose because they were absolutely lovely. - What have you done?

0:24:19 > 0:24:26Both! I love the work today but I love my job in the UK.

0:24:26 > 0:24:30- That's fantastic!- I know it's going to be a learning curve

0:24:30 > 0:24:33and it's going to take a year or two for me to get established,

0:24:33 > 0:24:38but if you are going to do it anywhere, you might as well do it here.

0:24:40 > 0:24:44It's a mixed result for the Greens.

0:24:44 > 0:24:47Sally's happy nursing in the UK or Australia,

0:24:47 > 0:24:52but Mark knows building up his career could be tough proposition.

0:24:52 > 0:24:54With a possible dream house to pay for,

0:24:54 > 0:24:57everything could hinges on selling their UK home.

0:24:57 > 0:25:01'We sent two local estate agents around to the family house

0:25:01 > 0:25:06'in St Albans to find out what it might fetch on the current market.

0:25:06 > 0:25:10'If they're to afford their ideal home, they'll need to raise

0:25:10 > 0:25:13'every penny they can towards a house in Australia.'

0:25:13 > 0:25:17This is quite a big room and it's being made to look quite small.

0:25:17 > 0:25:19It's probably a little bit cluttered.

0:25:19 > 0:25:22That's a polite way of saying it's full of junk.

0:25:22 > 0:25:24A nice, bright, spacious kitchen

0:25:24 > 0:25:26which leads on to a conservatory with seating area.

0:25:26 > 0:25:29So this is a wonderful addition to the property.

0:25:33 > 0:25:37- The garage space is being utilised as an office.- It's a bit messy.

0:25:37 > 0:25:40- I thought your rooms were messy, but that's bad.- Yeah.

0:25:42 > 0:25:43Nice-sized double bedroom

0:25:43 > 0:25:47with the bay window from above the downstairs sitting room.

0:25:47 > 0:25:48A very nice room.

0:25:50 > 0:25:53So this is the smallest room in the house,

0:25:53 > 0:25:56which is the fourth bedroom, which is being used as a child's room.

0:25:59 > 0:26:02So this is the second bathroom which is a bit dated,

0:26:02 > 0:26:04so would require a bit of work.

0:26:04 > 0:26:07- It's not that bad!- It is!

0:26:09 > 0:26:12In this current climate, I'd expect this property

0:26:12 > 0:26:15to go on the market for around about £575,000.

0:26:15 > 0:26:19For a quick sale, we'd be looking to achieve around about £540,000.

0:26:19 > 0:26:24In today's market, I'd value this house at around £625,000.

0:26:24 > 0:26:27For a quick sale, perhaps just slightly under £600,000.

0:26:27 > 0:26:31Maybe with an asking price of £599,950.

0:26:31 > 0:26:33We like him.

0:26:33 > 0:26:37Is that about right, or did you think a bit more?

0:26:37 > 0:26:39It's about right.

0:26:39 > 0:26:43'The lowest valuation of £540,000 is far less than they'd hoped for.

0:26:43 > 0:26:46'And it was the failure to sell their house

0:26:46 > 0:26:48'that put the brakes on their last move.

0:26:48 > 0:26:51'But once again, Mark and Sally are remaining positive.'

0:26:51 > 0:26:53Let's check these figures over.

0:26:53 > 0:26:56'Will the cost of living in Australia dent their enthusiasm?

0:26:56 > 0:27:00'We've prepared a comparison of the Greens' expenses at home and in Oz.

0:27:00 > 0:27:03'Based on their calculations, they'll find out

0:27:03 > 0:27:06'if they can afford to live Down Under.'

0:27:06 > 0:27:09So this is the grocery list.

0:27:09 > 0:27:11Everything in Australia is more expensive.

0:27:11 > 0:27:15The final total, according to our shopping list,

0:27:15 > 0:27:18£121 in the UK

0:27:18 > 0:27:21and £202 in Australia.

0:27:21 > 0:27:26So even those small differences add up to quite a lot in the end.

0:27:26 > 0:27:29OK, let's do the outgoings first.

0:27:29 > 0:27:32- And the grand total is...?- 2,091.

0:27:32 > 0:27:35UK pounds. And now Australia.

0:27:35 > 0:27:41Mm-hm. 2,482.

0:27:41 > 0:27:43It means we're going to be paying

0:27:43 > 0:27:49another 4,692 per year.

0:27:49 > 0:27:54And your difference in wages?

0:27:54 > 0:27:59My wages, even at a much lower band of nurse grade in Australia,

0:27:59 > 0:28:04I'd still be £5,600 better off.

0:28:04 > 0:28:07It will even out with my extra wages here

0:28:07 > 0:28:10and the cost extra of utilities and food here.

0:28:10 > 0:28:13We wouldn't be able to afford the dream property.

0:28:13 > 0:28:14That's lovely.

0:28:14 > 0:28:18I never expected to come into a property like that straightaway.

0:28:18 > 0:28:22We'll be quite unstable financially for the first couple of years.

0:28:22 > 0:28:26But I think because we've been through a lot of stress in the UK,

0:28:26 > 0:28:30we're sort of almost used to it. So I think we're willing to take that gamble.

0:28:30 > 0:28:33If push comes to shove, I'll do a couple of jobs out here.

0:28:33 > 0:28:34I mean, you know,

0:28:34 > 0:28:39if it gets us up and running as a family, then I'll do that.

0:28:39 > 0:28:42'It's a tough decision. The Greens could struggle

0:28:42 > 0:28:44'for the first couple of years in Australia,

0:28:44 > 0:28:47'adding to their stress and pressure.

0:28:47 > 0:28:49'Are they willing to take on the risk?'

0:28:49 > 0:28:53Potentially, it is going to be a lot better for us and the family.

0:28:53 > 0:28:54I think initially...

0:28:54 > 0:28:57- It is going to be hard for the first year or two.- Yeah.

0:28:57 > 0:28:59But I think what we've got to think about is

0:28:59 > 0:29:02the potential for the future.

0:29:02 > 0:29:05So based on today's reality check,

0:29:05 > 0:29:08our decision is to vote...

0:29:13 > 0:29:15- Australia.- ..Australia!

0:29:15 > 0:29:17THEY LAUGH

0:29:18 > 0:29:21- So you did Australia, as well? - I did.- Well done.

0:29:21 > 0:29:24- Well, I think potentially... - Yeah.- I think potentially...

0:29:24 > 0:29:28- Potentially for work and potential for the family.- Yeah.

0:29:28 > 0:29:31- I think...- I think we feel a bit like we're sinking in the UK

0:29:31 > 0:29:34and there's a possibility of having a lot of optimism for the future.

0:29:34 > 0:29:38- Making a difference. - Making a difference. Yeah.

0:29:42 > 0:29:46Mark and Sally seem determined to make the move, even though

0:29:46 > 0:29:49the figures don't look any better than those at home.

0:29:49 > 0:29:50But in their eyes,

0:29:50 > 0:29:52it's the Australian lifestyle

0:29:52 > 0:29:55that could make all the difference to the family.

0:29:55 > 0:30:00And with so many of them, keeping everyone happy could be a real test.

0:30:01 > 0:30:04'To give the Greens a taste of what Perth has to offer,

0:30:04 > 0:30:08'they're heading out to explore one of the beaches in the area.

0:30:08 > 0:30:13'If they make the move Down Under, it's important for all the family

0:30:13 > 0:30:14'to settle in and make friends.

0:30:14 > 0:30:18'And for Jake, at least, that transition could be an easier one.

0:30:18 > 0:30:22'Back in the UK, he works as a lifeguard.

0:30:22 > 0:30:26'Joining a lifesavers' club could be a great place to make friends.'

0:30:26 > 0:30:31Jake's just come over from the UK. He's come to try surf lifesaving.

0:30:31 > 0:30:34I thought you guys could show him what you can do on the board

0:30:34 > 0:30:35and maybe give him a few tips.

0:30:35 > 0:30:37'He may have had experience poolside,

0:30:37 > 0:30:42'but I'm afraid in Oz, they do most of their saving on surfboards.'

0:30:45 > 0:30:48'So while Jake tries to stay afloat, Ella and Izzy meet up

0:30:48 > 0:30:51'with some of the club's girl members.

0:30:51 > 0:30:53'And they have something in common.'

0:30:53 > 0:30:57- So, are you guys all from Australia originally?- No.

0:30:57 > 0:31:01I moved here about seven years ago.

0:31:01 > 0:31:03From Milton Keynes in England.

0:31:03 > 0:31:07- So, are you pleased you made the move?- Yeah. Absolutely.

0:31:07 > 0:31:10Australia has so many more options for us.

0:31:10 > 0:31:14The thing I'd miss back at home is, like, obviously, friends and family.

0:31:14 > 0:31:16That's why Surf Club's really great.

0:31:16 > 0:31:19It's a good social environment, as well.

0:31:19 > 0:31:23- So not just your brother can join, but you two can, as well. - That's good.

0:31:23 > 0:31:28Definitely, if you come and emigrate here, then you'll be able to meet new people.

0:31:28 > 0:31:31It's a lifestyle, rather than a sport.

0:31:31 > 0:31:36'And, of course, the most important reason for the move to Australia...'

0:31:36 > 0:31:39- Lots of boys.- Lots of boys. - Hot bodies. Good tans.

0:31:39 > 0:31:42- Do you get the traditional surf dudes?- Pardon?

0:31:42 > 0:31:45- Blond hair.- Blue eyes.

0:31:45 > 0:31:48'Mark can see the benefits, too.'

0:31:48 > 0:31:52I think they're in an environment where they can come down and meet friends

0:31:52 > 0:31:58and I think it's shown them it's possible to make friends quickly.

0:31:58 > 0:32:02'Although Jake may not move over with the family straightaway,

0:32:02 > 0:32:06'it's still important that he could see a life for himself Down Under.'

0:32:06 > 0:32:09If I do come out here, this is something I would do.

0:32:09 > 0:32:11So it has influenced me in that way.

0:32:11 > 0:32:15'And making friends seems to have come easy to the girls, too,

0:32:15 > 0:32:18'which will hopefully give them confidence about a move.'

0:32:18 > 0:32:22- I think generally, Australians are all really nice.- Yeah.

0:32:22 > 0:32:25And it's interesting to see that they're not Australian,

0:32:25 > 0:32:27they're like all from other countries.

0:32:27 > 0:32:31And the positiveness of, like, how they've adapted here

0:32:31 > 0:32:33and the lifestyle.

0:32:33 > 0:32:35I think it's made me feel even more that I want to move

0:32:35 > 0:32:41cos if they can do it, I don't see why I couldn't.

0:32:41 > 0:32:45'A few hours on the beach has given the family a glimpse

0:32:45 > 0:32:47'of how life could be Down Under.'

0:32:47 > 0:32:51It makes us feel a lot better knowing the kids would make friends easily.

0:32:51 > 0:32:54Whereas before we have a sense of duty as parents

0:32:54 > 0:32:56to try and make the right decision for our children,

0:32:56 > 0:33:02now I think it will be their decision, rather than just ours.

0:33:08 > 0:33:11'But it's not just all about beaches and barbies.

0:33:11 > 0:33:15'There's also plenty of parks and green spaces to explore in Perth.

0:33:15 > 0:33:19'And one of the best ways of seeing them is on two wheels.

0:33:19 > 0:33:23'In Western Australia, it's the law to wear a helmet when cycling,

0:33:23 > 0:33:25'so the Greens are buckling up.

0:33:25 > 0:33:27'But Jake and Ella decide to go on foot.'

0:33:27 > 0:33:29Keep up, guys.

0:33:29 > 0:33:34It's great! Look at that!

0:33:31 > 0:33:34- Look at that! Isn't that beautiful! - It's river, is it?

0:33:41 > 0:33:45Oh, look! We were wondering when you were going to turn up.

0:33:48 > 0:33:50Wow! That's great, isn't it?

0:33:54 > 0:33:56You never overtook us, did you?

0:33:56 > 0:33:58I think I remember beating you lot.

0:33:58 > 0:34:02I remember being right behind you, which is pretty impressive.

0:34:03 > 0:34:05'Spending time together as a family

0:34:05 > 0:34:08'has brought home the opportunities Australia offers.'

0:34:08 > 0:34:13Sally and I have, come to a stage in our life

0:34:13 > 0:34:16with our age and professionally

0:34:16 > 0:34:20where we're...looking for change

0:34:20 > 0:34:24and, um, looking for sort of an adventure.

0:34:24 > 0:34:27I think we have to try and make a decision

0:34:27 > 0:34:31for what we feel is the right thing for all of us for the future.

0:34:31 > 0:34:34If we came to Australia, my mum and dad and all us

0:34:34 > 0:34:36would see it as a new start. Everything's over.

0:34:36 > 0:34:38We're all well.

0:34:38 > 0:34:40Come out to the sunshine, have the nice lifestyle.

0:34:40 > 0:34:44In reality, it might not be as good as we're saying and we know that,

0:34:44 > 0:34:47but the fact that we can start over

0:34:47 > 0:34:51and forget about everything and just have a new life,

0:34:51 > 0:34:53an adventure, a journey out here,

0:34:53 > 0:34:55yeah, I think it will be good for all of us.

0:34:55 > 0:34:59Mum and Dad, they go to work and then they come back and work.

0:34:59 > 0:35:02And, like they said, all they seem to be doing is working.

0:35:02 > 0:35:07So if we came out here, we'd, like, have more leisure time,

0:35:07 > 0:35:11make more leisure time, spend more time as a family, go to the beach

0:35:11 > 0:35:14and not just be indoors and all around the house.

0:35:14 > 0:35:16Just outdoors together.

0:35:16 > 0:35:18I would like them to go ahead and move.

0:35:18 > 0:35:21I can always come out at a later date or as a holiday.

0:35:21 > 0:35:23I won't be living with them for ever.

0:35:23 > 0:35:27So I want them to come here either way, really.

0:35:27 > 0:35:29With or without me.

0:35:29 > 0:35:31'It's been an ideal day

0:35:31 > 0:35:35'and I have a sneaking feeling which way this vote may go.'

0:35:36 > 0:35:39We've had a fantastic day today.

0:35:39 > 0:35:41The sun's been out, we've been cycling, by the lake

0:35:41 > 0:35:44and eating ice-creams.

0:35:44 > 0:35:47And our final vote for lifestyle is...

0:35:54 > 0:35:56ALL: Australia!

0:35:57 > 0:35:59What did we all put?

0:35:59 > 0:36:01Everyone was Australia and Ella's...

0:36:01 > 0:36:02I meant to do both, actually.

0:36:02 > 0:36:05- THEY LAUGH - But I did Australia!

0:36:05 > 0:36:08- You love Australia, Ella?- Yeah.

0:36:08 > 0:36:10I like the lifestyle here,

0:36:10 > 0:36:14but we haven't been able to see as much as I want to.

0:36:14 > 0:36:17- It's only based on what you've seen. - And what about you, Jake?

0:36:17 > 0:36:19It's the sun. It's quite nice over here.

0:36:19 > 0:36:22- It makes you feel well. - I like the beach.

0:36:22 > 0:36:26And the beach, yeah. The beaches are so beautiful, aren't they?

0:36:26 > 0:36:28Beautiful weather in the winter.

0:36:28 > 0:36:30It would be ideal to go to work in this weather.

0:36:30 > 0:36:34To commute in this weather must be bliss. Australia gets my vote today.

0:36:40 > 0:36:42After another vote for Oz,

0:36:42 > 0:36:46the Greens have well and truly fallen for life Down Under.

0:36:46 > 0:36:50But there's still one final test for them to face.

0:36:50 > 0:36:53The reality of leaving behind the people they love.

0:36:55 > 0:36:58I know we've had an amazing week and I know I've watched

0:36:58 > 0:37:02the children's sort of emotions change towards the move to Australia

0:37:02 > 0:37:05during the week, but, er,...I'm a bit worried

0:37:05 > 0:37:07about them watching the DVD

0:37:07 > 0:37:11because I think, you know, it's going to be quite heart-wrenching, really.

0:37:11 > 0:37:15I know. But that's all part of the process, darling. We're out here.

0:37:15 > 0:37:19We can't bring them here for the experience and then, you know,

0:37:19 > 0:37:22not let them go through the...the difficult part, really.

0:37:22 > 0:37:25- Yeah. - Of seeing our friends and relatives

0:37:25 > 0:37:28and how they feel about us.

0:37:28 > 0:37:30I think we should let them watch it.

0:37:30 > 0:37:32- Yeah.- All watch it as a family. - Yeah.

0:37:37 > 0:37:40Hi, Sally. Hi, Mark. And the kids.

0:37:40 > 0:37:43- Hi, Sally and Mark and the rest of the family.- BOTH: Hello!

0:37:43 > 0:37:47Hello, Sally and Mark. I'm glad you've had a nice week in Perth.

0:37:47 > 0:37:51I've been Sally's friend for just over 20 years.

0:37:51 > 0:37:56And, she is one of my closest friends.

0:37:56 > 0:37:59She's a great friend. She's very supportive of the kids.

0:37:59 > 0:38:01And Mark and all the rest of the family.

0:38:01 > 0:38:05They're like our second family here in the UK.

0:38:05 > 0:38:09We don't want them to go, but if that's what they want,

0:38:09 > 0:38:12um, we're very happy for them.

0:38:12 > 0:38:14We wish them the best of luck.

0:38:14 > 0:38:15I shall miss them a lot.

0:38:15 > 0:38:18But I can't be sad for them.

0:38:18 > 0:38:20Because they have to do what they have to do.

0:38:20 > 0:38:23It's just been so lovely having them there.

0:38:23 > 0:38:27- They're always there. - Our children have grown up together.

0:38:27 > 0:38:31All those years of parties and picnics

0:38:31 > 0:38:33and everyday life and suddenly...

0:38:33 > 0:38:36It's a long way away, Australia.

0:38:36 > 0:38:38Since my wife died 2.5 years ago,

0:38:38 > 0:38:41it's the family I'm closest to.

0:38:41 > 0:38:42I live near them.

0:38:42 > 0:38:45And if they go, it will leave a hole

0:38:45 > 0:38:48in my existence in St Albans, if you like.

0:38:48 > 0:38:51Sally, Mark, you've been out there for a week now.

0:38:51 > 0:38:53Just make the decision with your heart.

0:38:53 > 0:38:55I know you've got to make a decision,

0:38:55 > 0:38:58but the decision should be yours.

0:38:58 > 0:39:00You shouldn't really think about us in the UK.

0:39:00 > 0:39:02You've got to think of yourselves.

0:39:02 > 0:39:05I hope you'll go, enjoy life there

0:39:05 > 0:39:08and I shall be out to see you.

0:39:15 > 0:39:19It's, like, you know Pop is upset,

0:39:19 > 0:39:22- but he just doesn't want to say it. - Yeah. Yeah.

0:39:25 > 0:39:28He's always been really supportive of us

0:39:28 > 0:39:34and, always helped us when we need help and, um...yeah.

0:39:34 > 0:39:38I suppose I always envisaged we'd be there for him as he got older.

0:39:38 > 0:39:42She can always leave a job, you can always leave an area,

0:39:42 > 0:39:44but to leave your friends and your family

0:39:44 > 0:39:48is a difficult thing to do.

0:39:48 > 0:39:50We are very close, the five of us,

0:39:50 > 0:39:54but we're also very close to our friends and my dad at home.

0:39:54 > 0:39:59Um, it's a real wrench. A real wrench.

0:40:04 > 0:40:07Seeing their loved ones was a painful reminder

0:40:07 > 0:40:11of just what the Greens' new start would cost.

0:40:11 > 0:40:15And with so many question marks over their finances,

0:40:15 > 0:40:20making their final decision could be a real test of their belief.

0:40:20 > 0:40:23So, will it be Australia or the UK?

0:40:25 > 0:40:30I think the week we've had here has been more than I could've wanted.

0:40:30 > 0:40:32Cos, before we came,

0:40:32 > 0:40:35I was really excited, really wanted to come,

0:40:35 > 0:40:39then right before we came, I thought, what am I doing? Can't do this.

0:40:39 > 0:40:42I arrived in Perth and thought, I don't know anybody.

0:40:42 > 0:40:45And from then on, I've just had the most amazing time.

0:40:45 > 0:40:46It's been fantastic.

0:40:46 > 0:40:49I was...a bit apprehensive

0:40:49 > 0:40:53to whether I would like the area, like Perth.

0:40:53 > 0:40:58But I think after just being here a week, it's wonderful, beautiful.

0:40:58 > 0:41:01The opportunities we've experienced

0:41:01 > 0:41:03and the lifestyle, generally,

0:41:03 > 0:41:06we've got a good insight of what life would be out here

0:41:06 > 0:41:09and, yeah, I think it's been good, hasn't it?

0:41:09 > 0:41:11Yeah. None of us feel like drastically,

0:41:11 > 0:41:14definitely not going or 100% are going.

0:41:14 > 0:41:16We've got pros and cons of staying

0:41:16 > 0:41:18and pros and cons of coming out here.

0:41:18 > 0:41:23There seem far more opportunities for not only people of our age,

0:41:23 > 0:41:26but for children coming out of university, as well.

0:41:26 > 0:41:29So, yeah, it's all about hope.

0:41:29 > 0:41:34I have to, er, look after my interests

0:41:34 > 0:41:37and look after their interests. Hopefully, as a family,

0:41:37 > 0:41:39we'll make the right decision.

0:41:39 > 0:41:43'Will the promise of a new life be enough to convince the Greens

0:41:43 > 0:41:45'that it's worth the sacrifice?'

0:41:47 > 0:41:51Based on all of our experiences this week, we've decided to vote for...

0:41:55 > 0:41:57ALL: Australia!

0:42:01 > 0:42:05Has everyone voted? You did both, Jake, did you? He's done both.

0:42:05 > 0:42:06Why did you do both?

0:42:06 > 0:42:08Just for now, I can't decide

0:42:08 > 0:42:10on one week's worth of seeing Australia,

0:42:10 > 0:42:13I can't decide definitely 100% I want to move here,

0:42:13 > 0:42:15so that's why I chose 50/50.

0:42:15 > 0:42:17I think we need to give it a go.

0:42:17 > 0:42:20I think, um,...it would be a good choice to make.

0:42:20 > 0:42:24I'm really excited about the prospect of living somewhere else

0:42:24 > 0:42:27and this week has just confirmed what I'd hoped that, um,...

0:42:27 > 0:42:31..living in the sun, feeling well and, um,...

0:42:31 > 0:42:34..just trying something new is really exciting.

0:42:34 > 0:42:35And life's for living.

0:42:45 > 0:42:48After a memorable week, the Greens have been convinced

0:42:48 > 0:42:51that Australia can offer them a new start.

0:42:51 > 0:42:56They may have plenty still to do before they make the move,

0:42:56 > 0:42:58but it's a big step towards the future they dream of.
