0:00:02 > 0:00:05Uprooting your family for a new start abroad is a
0:00:05 > 0:00:09once in a lifetime challenge. Well, at least it is for most of us.
0:00:09 > 0:00:12But what if your dreams were still unfulfilled after moving
0:00:12 > 0:00:14halfway around the world?
0:00:14 > 0:00:17Would you be willing to go through it all over again?
0:00:17 > 0:00:19Craig and Chantelle France-Brotherton were forced
0:00:19 > 0:00:22to give up the life they loved in South Africa.
0:00:22 > 0:00:24We had people break into our home
0:00:24 > 0:00:28in the very early hours of the morning, and we were both shot.
0:00:28 > 0:00:32But Craig is struggling to find a place to call home.
0:00:32 > 0:00:36It gets me down in the UK, to stay inside of the time
0:00:36 > 0:00:38makes me feel claustrophobic.
0:00:38 > 0:00:43And he has to convince his family to start a new life all over again.
0:00:45 > 0:00:48It just takes such a lot of work.
0:00:48 > 0:00:52And I'm just not sure I can do it again.
0:01:15 > 0:01:19With thousands of miles of pristine beaches and a sunny climate,
0:01:19 > 0:01:22Australia is the number one destination for people
0:01:22 > 0:01:24moving out of the UK.
0:01:24 > 0:01:27However, the new life they sought doesn't always match up to
0:01:27 > 0:01:32expectations and over 10,000 return home every year
0:01:32 > 0:01:33to the life they left behind.
0:01:34 > 0:01:38The France-Brothertons have just one week to experience
0:01:38 > 0:01:40the reality of living in Australia.
0:01:40 > 0:01:43At the end of it, they'll face a life-changing decision -
0:01:43 > 0:01:48whether to stay in the UK or to make the move down under a permanent one.
0:01:50 > 0:01:52The first part of the journey takes
0:01:52 > 0:01:55them 11,000 miles around the globe to Perth.
0:01:58 > 0:02:02The 24 hours in the air have not settled Chantelle's worries.
0:02:02 > 0:02:06I'm a little bit nervous, to be honest because...
0:02:07 > 0:02:11..you don't quite know how things are going to turn out for real.
0:02:11 > 0:02:14There's a lot to find out and a lot of decisions to make, I think.
0:02:16 > 0:02:17So I was a bit nervous before.
0:02:17 > 0:02:20I'm quite a lot more nervous now that Craig's opened his mouth.
0:02:22 > 0:02:25Yes, Craig had better be careful about what he says.
0:02:25 > 0:02:28Australia is his dream and he has a long way to go
0:02:28 > 0:02:30to convince his family to emigrate.
0:02:33 > 0:02:36The France-Brotherton family are made up of Craig,
0:02:36 > 0:02:39Chantelle, and their three children,
0:02:39 > 0:02:4313-year-old Alison and twins, Roxanne and Tristan, age five.
0:02:45 > 0:02:49For the last ten years, they've lived in Donnington near Birmingham.
0:02:49 > 0:02:52They are originally from South Africa, but a terrifying event
0:02:52 > 0:02:56left them unable to face living there any longer.
0:02:56 > 0:02:59We had a violent incident, on our farm 13 years ago.
0:03:01 > 0:03:05We had people break in to our home in the very early hours of the morning
0:03:05 > 0:03:07and we were both shot.
0:03:07 > 0:03:11So Craig was in hospital for six months, on and off for six months.
0:03:11 > 0:03:13And I was in there for a month and a half.
0:03:13 > 0:03:17So we decided there and then that we would be leaving South Africa.
0:03:19 > 0:03:22Mostly, because we wanted to give Alison the opportunity
0:03:22 > 0:03:25to have a safer and more reliable existence than
0:03:25 > 0:03:28we could offer living in South Africa.
0:03:30 > 0:03:33The experience definitely changed our outlook on life.
0:03:33 > 0:03:34There's no two ways about it.
0:03:34 > 0:03:37To me, it's not a case of careers and this sort of thing,
0:03:37 > 0:03:39it's a case of living to the max.
0:03:39 > 0:03:43I mean, that's why I like to go and experience things.
0:03:43 > 0:03:46You try and be philosophical about these things, obviously,
0:03:46 > 0:03:50cos they happen and lots worse things happen to lots of people, so
0:03:50 > 0:03:53you just say, "Well, it's happened, we've experienced it, we survived it,
0:03:53 > 0:03:55"let's move on."
0:03:55 > 0:03:57As their grandparents were originally from the UK,
0:03:57 > 0:04:00it was Chantelle's first choice for a new home.
0:04:00 > 0:04:04To be honest, it's one of the best things I've ever done.
0:04:04 > 0:04:08I've really, really valued every moment that I've had in UK.
0:04:08 > 0:04:13- I love the UK.- I don't regret coming over here at all.- No.
0:04:14 > 0:04:17Although they love living in the UK,
0:04:17 > 0:04:20it's a far cry from the life they left behind in South Africa.
0:04:22 > 0:04:25In South Africa, ten years ago, we used to live on a farm,
0:04:25 > 0:04:31you know, wide open space of 25 acres, it's huge.
0:04:31 > 0:04:35I think the closest house was 300 metres away.
0:04:35 > 0:04:38For Craig in particular, it was the ideal lifestyle.
0:04:38 > 0:04:42He was outside all the time, repairing the roof,
0:04:42 > 0:04:44and it was like a total cut-off for him,
0:04:44 > 0:04:47we came to the UK and he didn't do any of those things anymore.
0:04:47 > 0:04:50So I think that he's really after something he's lost.
0:04:52 > 0:04:54To help Craig find what's missing in his life,
0:04:54 > 0:04:57Chantelle has agreed to give Australia a try.
0:04:57 > 0:05:00Craig agreed to come to the UK on condition that
0:05:00 > 0:05:05if he wasn't happy we would consider going somewhere else,
0:05:05 > 0:05:08and Australia was always the place he was talking about.
0:05:08 > 0:05:13Craig is hoping Australia will give a better life for his family.
0:05:13 > 0:05:17Luckily, their daughter Alison is also taken by the idea.
0:05:17 > 0:05:19Overall, about Australia, I think
0:05:19 > 0:05:22yeah, I think I'm really excited about it.
0:05:22 > 0:05:26It's a new adventure so I'm looking forward to going there
0:05:26 > 0:05:27and trying it out.
0:05:28 > 0:05:31However, having built new friendships and a successful
0:05:31 > 0:05:36career in the UK, Chantelle is torn by the idea of giving it all up.
0:05:36 > 0:05:39Family isn't only about those people you're related to.
0:05:39 > 0:05:43It's your really, really close friends, those people that
0:05:43 > 0:05:47I feel like I've grown up with them, even though I haven't.
0:05:47 > 0:05:50I met them when I came to England. So...
0:05:50 > 0:05:54Chantelle's mum has also moved to the UK.
0:05:54 > 0:05:58Emigrating to Oz would mean saying goodbye to her again.
0:05:58 > 0:06:01Thing is, I probably won't get to see my mum very much
0:06:01 > 0:06:05because she likes to go to South Africa where my gran is,
0:06:05 > 0:06:08and my grandad, when she has time away.
0:06:10 > 0:06:15So I don't really know whether she'll be able to come and visit us or not.
0:06:16 > 0:06:19Australia might be Craig's hope of a better life,
0:06:19 > 0:06:23but it's a dream that could leave his family torn.
0:06:23 > 0:06:26She will definitely be giving up a lot here.
0:06:26 > 0:06:28She's made her life in the UK, really.
0:06:30 > 0:06:33I wouldn't say everything she wants,
0:06:33 > 0:06:36but, you know, she's getting there.
0:06:36 > 0:06:39Craig hasn't really,
0:06:39 > 0:06:41necessarily, I think, invested...
0:06:44 > 0:06:46..as much in the UK.
0:06:47 > 0:06:51But, you know, I'm thinking,
0:06:51 > 0:06:55am I going to have to do that all over again in Australia?
0:06:55 > 0:06:57It just takes such a lot of work.
0:06:58 > 0:07:02And I'm just not sure I can do it again.
0:07:12 > 0:07:16Both Craig and Chantelle know just how difficult
0:07:16 > 0:07:19emigrating can be. But Craig still yearns for the happiness
0:07:19 > 0:07:22he hopes Australia will bring.
0:07:22 > 0:07:25He has just one week to convince Chantelle to give up the life
0:07:25 > 0:07:27she's built in the UK.
0:07:28 > 0:07:32The France-Brothertons will be spending their trial week in Perth.
0:07:32 > 0:07:36It's a bustling city that's benefiting from the economic boom
0:07:36 > 0:07:37in Western Australia.
0:07:37 > 0:07:41And being spread out along the coast means there's easy access to
0:07:41 > 0:07:46national parks and open countryside, which should suit Craig.
0:07:46 > 0:07:48The final leg of the journey brings the France-Brothertons
0:07:48 > 0:07:52to their home for the week in the area of Bickley.
0:07:52 > 0:07:54Set on the outskirts of Perth,
0:07:54 > 0:07:56it should give a good idea of country living.
0:08:00 > 0:08:04Right away, one person is suitably impressed.
0:08:04 > 0:08:07(TRISTAN) Wow! Cool!
0:08:07 > 0:08:10- What's cool, boy?- This garden.
0:08:10 > 0:08:14- This garden is cool? - Lots of space to run around.
0:08:16 > 0:08:20However, everyone seems a lot less excited about running around
0:08:20 > 0:08:21inside the house.
0:08:27 > 0:08:30Chantelle hasn't been impressed by this house and it's got her
0:08:30 > 0:08:35worried about what emigrating to the Australian countryside might mean.
0:08:35 > 0:08:38I'm concerned that when you move to this kind of area,
0:08:38 > 0:08:40you normally have to buy an older house
0:08:40 > 0:08:42and they don't have as much storage,
0:08:42 > 0:08:44and that kind of stuff, as we need, which means we would be back
0:08:44 > 0:08:48to me living in our DIY project with you, and I'm not doing that.
0:08:50 > 0:08:51I love you, but I'm not doing that.
0:08:51 > 0:08:54I'm not too worried about the place, I think it's nice.
0:08:54 > 0:08:58I'm more worried about what's around outside, you know?
0:08:58 > 0:09:03Land and loads of space, it's great. It's fantastic. I love the trees.
0:09:03 > 0:09:06Actually, I think it's even better than I imagined.
0:09:06 > 0:09:07Really, really stunning.
0:09:11 > 0:09:13I really want to cry.
0:09:13 > 0:09:15SHE LAUGHS
0:09:17 > 0:09:19SHE SIGHS
0:09:19 > 0:09:22I'm just disappointed.
0:09:23 > 0:09:26Oh, that's a stupid thing to say, but it's true.
0:09:26 > 0:09:29Fortunately, Tristan and Roxanne don't have any issues
0:09:29 > 0:09:31about storage or space.
0:09:33 > 0:09:34Look at that.
0:09:41 > 0:09:44Back in the UK, the France-Brothertons own a
0:09:44 > 0:09:48three-bedroom house, which they've made into a home they love.
0:09:48 > 0:09:53I'm happy here. We've been renovating this house since we moved in,
0:09:53 > 0:09:54which is eight years ago.
0:09:56 > 0:10:01And we're kind of just coming to the culmination of that now.
0:10:01 > 0:10:04So if we decided to move to Australia in the near future,
0:10:04 > 0:10:08that means all of this work has been for somebody else.
0:10:09 > 0:10:11Hurrah.
0:10:11 > 0:10:13Having lived a very different life in South Africa,
0:10:13 > 0:10:17they have strong ideas about what they'd like from an Australian home.
0:10:17 > 0:10:21We are looking for something where we've got some space around us.
0:10:21 > 0:10:25Not really interested in living in suburbia because I'd like a big
0:10:25 > 0:10:29enough garden for the kids to be able to play ball games and have a pool.
0:10:29 > 0:10:32- Five acres.- Five acres. Yes, love.
0:10:34 > 0:10:37We've organised for the France-Brothertons to sample
0:10:37 > 0:10:41Perth's housing market. We'll show them three typical options,
0:10:41 > 0:10:46ranging from what they want in their ideal home to what they can afford.
0:10:46 > 0:10:48After seeing for themselves what's on offer,
0:10:48 > 0:10:50they'll find out the price of each house.
0:10:52 > 0:10:55Their first stop is in Ellenbrook on the outskirts of Perth.
0:10:55 > 0:10:58It's a rural area close to national parks,
0:10:58 > 0:11:01but the housing is made up of busy estates.
0:11:01 > 0:11:04The family are viewing a four-bedroom show home.
0:11:04 > 0:11:07This is a classic Aussie house, sleek and modern,
0:11:07 > 0:11:09just what Chantelle wants.
0:11:11 > 0:11:13It's not exactly what I expected.
0:11:14 > 0:11:19- But then we can choose where to build this?- I believe so, yeah.- Right, OK.
0:11:19 > 0:11:22It may not have the amount of land Craig would like, but they
0:11:22 > 0:11:27could have this design built on a bigger plot if they like the house.
0:11:27 > 0:11:29Let's have a look.
0:11:32 > 0:11:33Very spacious.
0:11:34 > 0:11:38Oh, wow, Craigie, look at this. Oh, I like it.
0:11:38 > 0:11:39Oh, lovely, yeah.
0:11:39 > 0:11:42This is definitely a good start.
0:11:42 > 0:11:45In fact, I think Chantelle might have taken
0:11:45 > 0:11:47more than a liking to this house.
0:11:47 > 0:11:51- I love this.- It's nice. - I do. I just love it.
0:11:51 > 0:11:52Oh...
0:11:54 > 0:11:58I like that it's complete, that you can just move in,
0:11:58 > 0:11:59you don't have to do anything to it.
0:11:59 > 0:12:04I love the open way that Australian houses are designed in terms
0:12:04 > 0:12:05of the kitchen, the living area,
0:12:05 > 0:12:09because it just fits the way that we want to live anyway, doesn't it?
0:12:09 > 0:12:11I want to be up to just get in and have parties.
0:12:12 > 0:12:15Yep, Chantelle has definitely fallen head over heels
0:12:15 > 0:12:19for this house. But will the bedrooms keep the romance going?
0:12:19 > 0:12:20Oh, Craigie!
0:12:21 > 0:12:24- This is nice. - Lookie, lookie, lookie!
0:12:24 > 0:12:27- I love it.- My goodness, it's huge.
0:12:27 > 0:12:29SONG: "Je T'aime...Moi Non-Plus"
0:12:29 > 0:12:30Storage!
0:12:32 > 0:12:34Where are going to put your clothes?
0:12:34 > 0:12:38- I'm sure it's big enough, love. - It's gorgeous.- It is stunning.
0:12:38 > 0:12:41Well, it certainly satisfied Chantelle's needs.
0:12:41 > 0:12:43Can the garden do the same for Craig?
0:12:43 > 0:12:45- It's really lovely, isn't it? - Yeah, it is nice.
0:12:45 > 0:12:49The only thing is, there isn't very much space.
0:12:49 > 0:12:54I don't know if the plot of land that you choose is any bigger than this.
0:12:54 > 0:12:57The plot I want would definitely have to be bigger than this.
0:12:59 > 0:13:02We absolutely need more space than this.
0:13:02 > 0:13:04That is a shame. This house is certainly
0:13:04 > 0:13:09in their ideal home category, but the garden just isn't big enough.
0:13:09 > 0:13:12The question is, can Craig and Chantelle even afford it
0:13:12 > 0:13:17on their £250,000 budget, let alone one on a bigger plot?
0:13:17 > 0:13:20For the land, it'll probably be over, won't it?
0:13:20 > 0:13:22I would think so.
0:13:23 > 0:13:25Look, come on, find out.
0:13:27 > 0:13:29Come on, look.
0:13:31 > 0:13:33Let's have it.
0:13:36 > 0:13:40Yeah. So this is 400,000 and that's without the land.
0:13:40 > 0:13:44£257,000 is right at the top of their budget,
0:13:44 > 0:13:46leaving nothing to buy more land.
0:13:46 > 0:13:48So this is what we can't have.
0:13:51 > 0:13:53Let's go and find out what we can have.
0:13:55 > 0:13:58- Right, shall we round up our children?- And off we go, yeah.
0:13:58 > 0:14:00Before they damage a house we can't afford.
0:14:00 > 0:14:02SHE LAUGHS
0:14:02 > 0:14:03Then we can go.
0:14:05 > 0:14:07It seemed like a promising start to Craig's hope
0:14:07 > 0:14:10of convincing Chantelle to emigrate.
0:14:10 > 0:14:13But if they can only just afford this house,
0:14:13 > 0:14:17could something similar, but with lots of land, be out of reach?
0:14:17 > 0:14:20One solution would be to look further out from the city.
0:14:20 > 0:14:24So they've come to the Wundowie area. As it's quite rural,
0:14:24 > 0:14:27properties with large amounts of land are more affordable.
0:14:27 > 0:14:30However, it's over 40 miles from Perth,
0:14:30 > 0:14:32meaning long commutes for work.
0:14:32 > 0:14:34This is more like it, isn't it, Craigie?
0:14:36 > 0:14:40This three-bedroom house does come with nearly four acres of land,
0:14:40 > 0:14:43but it's not the pristine show home they've just seen.
0:14:51 > 0:14:55I'm guessing that silence is not speechless with delight.
0:14:55 > 0:14:58Oh, dear.
0:14:58 > 0:15:00There's definitely work to be done, isn't there?
0:15:00 > 0:15:03This house might have the space Chantelle and Craig would like,
0:15:03 > 0:15:07but they can both see it would need some serious TLC.
0:15:07 > 0:15:09There's loads of work to be done.
0:15:12 > 0:15:14- Is this a room?- No.
0:15:16 > 0:15:19- Built-in wardrobes of a fashion. - Yeah.
0:15:21 > 0:15:24OK. And bedroom number four.
0:15:24 > 0:15:28Nice storage, yeah. It would have to be redone again.
0:15:28 > 0:15:32Every room in his house will probably need to be stripped down and redone.
0:15:34 > 0:15:39And this time, Chantelle isn't quite so taken with open-plan living.
0:15:39 > 0:15:41It's not the way that I would like it to be set out,
0:15:41 > 0:15:46so we would need to do it again. Let's look outside, obviously. But...
0:15:48 > 0:15:52I wouldn't... I can't see myself living here, Craig.
0:15:52 > 0:15:55There are four acres of land.
0:15:55 > 0:15:57Can that make up for the shortcomings of this house?
0:15:57 > 0:16:00It's quite big, hey? It's quite a big piece of land.
0:16:02 > 0:16:05- Definitely big enough, I think. - Yeah.
0:16:05 > 0:16:07It's just a pity about the house, you know?
0:16:07 > 0:16:12I mean, everything else you can sort out, but the house.
0:16:12 > 0:16:14- No.- You'd have to start from scratch.
0:16:16 > 0:16:19No, I'm afraid you're absolutely right.
0:16:19 > 0:16:22It is a real pity because they love this, don't they?
0:16:22 > 0:16:25Craig and the children might love the outside space,
0:16:25 > 0:16:29but they know this house isn't going to win Mum over.
0:16:29 > 0:16:33She likes everything to be clean and easy to clean
0:16:33 > 0:16:36and it doesn't look like it's going to be easy to clean.
0:16:36 > 0:16:40She likes lots of storage, as you probably gathered.
0:16:40 > 0:16:42But we like the space, don't we, Tristan?
0:16:42 > 0:16:44Yeah, we like that space, don't we?
0:16:44 > 0:16:49We like all the space so we can run around and just do what we want to.
0:16:49 > 0:16:52Perhaps the price can turn the house into a contender.
0:16:52 > 0:16:54The right figure could mean money left over
0:16:54 > 0:16:56to fix it up to their taste.
0:16:56 > 0:16:57Shall we find out?
0:17:03 > 0:17:06- Roxy?- You can turn it over if you like, Roxanne.
0:17:07 > 0:17:09Ah, how many is that?
0:17:09 > 0:17:13Two, seven, zero, zero, zero, zero.
0:17:13 > 0:17:17That's £20,000 over budget.
0:17:17 > 0:17:23This house costs more than the house that we just saw in suburbia.
0:17:24 > 0:17:28I don't think it's going to be an easy job to find a house that we
0:17:28 > 0:17:31- want on our budget.- I don't think it's going to be an easy job, at all.
0:17:31 > 0:17:34It's a big setback for Craig's dream.
0:17:34 > 0:17:36This house had the land he wants,
0:17:36 > 0:17:39but it doesn't look like Chantelle would want to live here.
0:17:40 > 0:17:44Now there's only one property left to convince her on Australian homes.
0:17:46 > 0:17:49The Mundaring area, 20 miles east of Perth,
0:17:49 > 0:17:52is halfway between urban and rural.
0:17:52 > 0:17:54This could mean the France-Brothertons being able to
0:17:54 > 0:17:56afford a house with a large garden
0:17:56 > 0:17:59while being close to facilities and the countryside.
0:18:01 > 0:18:05This three-bedroom property does have the modern look that the family
0:18:05 > 0:18:07all like. But can it come anywhere near the first one,
0:18:07 > 0:18:09which everyone fell in love with?
0:18:11 > 0:18:12OK.
0:18:15 > 0:18:16- This is nice.- Yeah.
0:18:18 > 0:18:20Nice enough size.
0:18:21 > 0:18:23So that's nice.
0:18:23 > 0:18:27- A little study off the living area. - That's really nice, yeah.- Storage!
0:18:29 > 0:18:33- I mean, this is nice.- For a kids room, yeah.- It's nice enough.
0:18:36 > 0:18:40- This is really nice, Craigie. - Yeah, nice stove.- Yeah.
0:18:40 > 0:18:44Well, this may be a "nice" house, but it's safe to say
0:18:44 > 0:18:46it's not love at first sight.
0:18:46 > 0:18:48Will the garden elicit a different response?
0:18:48 > 0:18:50This is very nice.
0:18:50 > 0:18:52Maybe not.
0:18:52 > 0:18:55It is a good size garden, but it's not what Craig had hoped for.
0:18:56 > 0:18:58It's a lot of compromise, you know?
0:18:58 > 0:19:01It actually all depends on the price, really.
0:19:01 > 0:19:03Yeah, does.
0:19:05 > 0:19:08You want to have a bounce on the trampoline?
0:19:08 > 0:19:11OK, let's find out the cost of this house, then.
0:19:11 > 0:19:14Maybe it can lift everyone's subdued spirits.
0:19:15 > 0:19:19Right, Roxy, let your brother do it this time.
0:19:19 > 0:19:20Turn it over.
0:19:23 > 0:19:24OK.
0:19:24 > 0:19:28That's £50,000 over budget and a real blow to Craig's dream.
0:19:28 > 0:19:33I can't see it at that sort of price. If it was 100,000...
0:19:33 > 0:19:37- Well, that's what it costs. - 100,000 cheaper, yeah, maybe.
0:19:37 > 0:19:39Not at 460.
0:19:40 > 0:19:41Definitely.
0:19:41 > 0:19:45So what it's just telling you, is for a tiny bit of extra land,
0:19:45 > 0:19:48you have to pay significantly more. It's not proportionate.
0:19:52 > 0:19:55House-hunting around Perth has been a real eye-opener
0:19:55 > 0:19:57for the France-Brothertons.
0:19:57 > 0:20:01Everybody fell for the "wow" of the first modern show home,
0:20:01 > 0:20:04especially if they could afford more land to put it on.
0:20:04 > 0:20:07The second had the land Craig wants, but the house was a no-no
0:20:07 > 0:20:09and over budget.
0:20:09 > 0:20:13And the final house, which was perfectly nice, did show that
0:20:13 > 0:20:17affording the house and the land might be beyond their means.
0:20:17 > 0:20:19So have these properties convinced anyone that leaving
0:20:19 > 0:20:22the UK would be worth the upheaval?
0:20:23 > 0:20:25Think we're going to vote for...
0:20:29 > 0:20:31- Undecided.- Undecided.
0:20:31 > 0:20:35Australia? You two said Australia! Do you like Australian houses?
0:20:35 > 0:20:39Well, we're going to have to use your piggy bank money, then.
0:20:39 > 0:20:42Doesn't look like we can afford what we really want,
0:20:42 > 0:20:46in terms of land and the home that we have on it, in Australia
0:20:46 > 0:20:49or in the UK. That's why I've voted undecided.
0:20:49 > 0:20:53I voted undecided because if I want the land,
0:20:53 > 0:20:56there's going to be a lot more research needed to be done.
0:21:02 > 0:21:04That wasn't the start the France-Brothertons
0:21:04 > 0:21:06were hoping for in Australia.
0:21:06 > 0:21:10Craig's dream of a house with land is looking like an expensive one.
0:21:10 > 0:21:13It leaves both Craig and Chantelle
0:21:13 > 0:21:16in need of finding good work prospects in Perth.
0:21:16 > 0:21:20In the UK, Craig works as a telecom technician
0:21:20 > 0:21:23and Chantelle is a human resources manager in the NHS.
0:21:23 > 0:21:26Today, while the children are looked after by a childminder,
0:21:26 > 0:21:29we've arranged for both of them to find out
0:21:29 > 0:21:31just what working in Australia could mean.
0:21:31 > 0:21:36After the setbacks of property prices, everything is riding on
0:21:36 > 0:21:39Craig and Chantelle being able to earn good wages.
0:21:39 > 0:21:42Craig is the main visa applicant and he's meeting with
0:21:42 > 0:21:43company director, Doug Butcher,
0:21:43 > 0:21:46who has a little surprise to test his skills.
0:21:46 > 0:21:48I've got a client upstairs.
0:21:48 > 0:21:51- Shall we go up and have a look? - Yeah, fantastic, let's go.
0:21:53 > 0:21:57- There's a cable. There's a handset. Hook it up.- Excellent, yeah.
0:22:04 > 0:22:05I am a bit nervous today.
0:22:07 > 0:22:09My job is really important to me
0:22:09 > 0:22:12and I've worked really hard over the last ten years.
0:22:12 > 0:22:14I'm worried that if I come to Australia, I'll have to start
0:22:14 > 0:22:17all over again. I don't want to have to do that.
0:22:17 > 0:22:20To help address her worries, Chantelle is meeting with
0:22:20 > 0:22:24recruitment consultant, Kira Benton, who moved here from the UK.
0:22:27 > 0:22:29It's a great chance for Chantelle to impress
0:22:29 > 0:22:32with her knowledge of the industry.
0:22:32 > 0:22:36While I'm happy to do HRM, my preference is LND, really.
0:22:36 > 0:22:40Doing lots of work with SMEs, kind of on a consultancy basis
0:22:40 > 0:22:42without including ETs and all that kind of stuff.
0:22:42 > 0:22:45That certainly sounds impressive.
0:22:45 > 0:22:47Meanwhile, with Craig's task completed,
0:22:47 > 0:22:50it's time to find out what his skills could be worth.
0:22:52 > 0:22:55Your CV looks pretty good. Obviously, you're quite experienced.
0:22:55 > 0:22:58In terms of what sort of pay you can expect in Perth,
0:22:58 > 0:23:03typically, an apprentice or a new qualified tech
0:23:03 > 0:23:07will take home somewhere around about the 45-50,000 mark.
0:23:07 > 0:23:10A more experienced tech, like yourself, would probably
0:23:10 > 0:23:14be looking at somewhere between 55 to maybe 70.
0:23:14 > 0:23:18That could mean Craig doubling his salary to around £50,000.
0:23:18 > 0:23:22But crucially, would he have time to enjoy living in Australia?
0:23:22 > 0:23:25I just wanted to ask you about the working hours,
0:23:25 > 0:23:27which I'm quite interested in.
0:23:28 > 0:23:31Having worked in the UK myself a number of years ago,
0:23:31 > 0:23:35I think what you'll find is the working hours in Perth are probably
0:23:35 > 0:23:38a little bit longer than what you would have experienced in the UK.
0:23:38 > 0:23:41Like any technical position,
0:23:41 > 0:23:44you should be aware, there will be some unsociable hours,
0:23:44 > 0:23:47but it's really not that bad.
0:23:47 > 0:23:49Well, this all looks good, Craig,
0:23:49 > 0:23:54and I think you've got excellent chances of employment here.
0:23:54 > 0:23:58And, yeah, when you get back, you should probably give us a call.
0:23:58 > 0:24:02- Thank you very much.- Thank you. - Thank you.- Cheers.
0:24:02 > 0:24:04Craig's work prospects do look positive,
0:24:04 > 0:24:07but only if he can face the possibility of long hours.
0:24:07 > 0:24:09Back at Kira's office,
0:24:09 > 0:24:12Chantelle is getting to the most important questions.
0:24:12 > 0:24:14What kind of salary do you think we're looking at?
0:24:14 > 0:24:17For a learning and development role you'll probably have a starting salary
0:24:17 > 0:24:19of about £100-£120 per annum.
0:24:19 > 0:24:22Would that be within what you're expecting?
0:24:22 > 0:24:25That sounds about equivalent to where I am now
0:24:25 > 0:24:29so I'm comfortable with that in terms of...
0:24:29 > 0:24:33I would obviously like to improve my prospects as I go along,
0:24:33 > 0:24:34but that sounds really good,
0:24:34 > 0:24:37it sounds like I wouldn't have to take too big a step back.
0:24:37 > 0:24:42I think, long-term, if you were to look at senior strategic learning and development roles
0:24:42 > 0:24:46you could head towards the 150-200K salary mark.
0:24:46 > 0:24:51That's great news. Even the starting salary would be £60,000,
0:24:51 > 0:24:54£20,000 more than she currently earns.
0:24:54 > 0:24:55But are there any vacancies?
0:24:55 > 0:24:58How do you think the job market is in Perth at the moment?
0:24:58 > 0:25:01- Do you think there are a lot of opportunities?- There are.
0:25:01 > 0:25:03If it gives you any assurance, I'm currently trying to recruit
0:25:03 > 0:25:06a learning and development manager position for Perth
0:25:06 > 0:25:09and the client hasn't been able to source anyone in the market
0:25:09 > 0:25:12so they've opened the search and are currently interviewing people
0:25:12 > 0:25:14based in the UK who are looking to relocate here.
0:25:14 > 0:25:16To top that, they're offering sponsorship.
0:25:16 > 0:25:20- Excellent, that's brilliant news for me, isn't it!- Definitely.
0:25:20 > 0:25:22If you do end up moving make sure that you give me a call.
0:25:22 > 0:25:24I will definitely do that.
0:25:24 > 0:25:27Thank you so much for seeing me and for your time. I'm grateful.
0:25:27 > 0:25:31- Really great to meet you. Best of luck with everything. - Thank you very much.
0:25:31 > 0:25:33Potential work and higher salary.
0:25:33 > 0:25:36That must be reassuring news for Chantelle.
0:25:36 > 0:25:38When she eventually meets up with Craig
0:25:38 > 0:25:40it's a chance to catch up on their day.
0:25:46 > 0:25:51- How did it go?- Really well.- Yeah? - And yours?- Very good, actually.
0:25:51 > 0:25:53I'm really impressed.
0:25:53 > 0:25:56Does that mean they've been swayed by the possibility
0:25:56 > 0:25:57of working in Australia?
0:25:57 > 0:26:00Could Chantelle really face giving up the career
0:26:00 > 0:26:04she's worked so hard to build? Time to vote.
0:26:04 > 0:26:06Australia!
0:26:06 > 0:26:10- Oh! Hasn't it been a better day than yesterday?- Definitely.
0:26:10 > 0:26:12A much better day than yesterday.
0:26:12 > 0:26:16And actually yesterday might have been improved if we had today first.
0:26:16 > 0:26:18I think so. Maybe we'll have to do yesterday again.
0:26:18 > 0:26:21Yeah. Can we do yesterday again?
0:26:29 > 0:26:33A resounding vote for Australia has rescued Craig's hopes
0:26:33 > 0:26:37of emigrating even if earning more money means working longer hours.
0:26:37 > 0:26:40But it's his dream of an outdoor family lifestyle
0:26:40 > 0:26:44that's driving his desire to move and if Perth can offer it,
0:26:44 > 0:26:46it would be a big step forward.
0:26:47 > 0:26:51Craig would love to spend lots of time outdoors with his family.
0:26:51 > 0:26:56Unfortunately the UK climate means a lot of time is spent indoors.
0:26:56 > 0:27:00He's hoping to show them Australia could deliver their ideal lifestyle.
0:27:02 > 0:27:05So today, the France-Brothertons have come to the Perth hills
0:27:05 > 0:27:07to get a true taste of the Aussie outdoor life.
0:27:07 > 0:27:11It will also give them time to mull over the decisions they face.
0:27:14 > 0:27:17This is a rare chance to spend time together
0:27:17 > 0:27:19in beautiful outdoor surroundings.
0:27:19 > 0:27:22However, things soon turn ugly!
0:27:43 > 0:27:45You've got to admit, it was fun though.
0:27:45 > 0:27:49- No, it wasn't. I'm freezing!- Oh!
0:27:49 > 0:27:52This is precisely why Craig wants to emigrate.
0:27:54 > 0:27:57Luckily, the children are on board.
0:27:57 > 0:27:59He's like a big kid, isn't he.
0:28:00 > 0:28:03He loves doing stuff like this.
0:28:03 > 0:28:05He loves going hiking and canoeing,
0:28:05 > 0:28:09and he thinks it's really cool that we can all do it as a family.
0:28:09 > 0:28:11Can I go and capsize him now?
0:28:23 > 0:28:25Today has reminded Craig
0:28:25 > 0:28:28just why he's so desperate to move to Australia.
0:28:29 > 0:28:32It feels so great to be able to get out.
0:28:32 > 0:28:34It's a real stress relief, I feel.
0:28:34 > 0:28:39It gets me down in the UK to stay inside all the time.
0:28:39 > 0:28:41Makes me feel claustrophobic.
0:28:41 > 0:28:43There's nothing wrong with the UK.
0:28:43 > 0:28:47But for me, all my life as a child I'd been able to get outside
0:28:47 > 0:28:50and have this outdoor life all the time.
0:28:50 > 0:28:54However, for Chantelle, enjoying the day with her family
0:28:54 > 0:28:58is a painful reminder of what she stands to lose again.
0:29:00 > 0:29:03Well, I know I was very lonely when I first went to England
0:29:03 > 0:29:06and I left all my friends and family in South Africa.
0:29:06 > 0:29:09And yes, you keep in contact and yes, you talk, but it's not the same.
0:29:09 > 0:29:13It's not the same having people thousands and thousands of miles away.
0:29:13 > 0:29:18They still care about you, but they're thousands and thousands of miles away.
0:29:19 > 0:29:21And I know I'll be lonely when I first come here
0:29:21 > 0:29:23if we choose to come.
0:29:24 > 0:29:26So when it comes to choosing, how will they vote
0:29:26 > 0:29:30after just a little taste of what living in Australia could offer?
0:29:30 > 0:29:34We've had a lovely day in the Perth hills in the great outdoors,
0:29:34 > 0:29:36and now we're going to vote.
0:29:37 > 0:29:39And....vote.
0:29:39 > 0:29:41ALL: Australia.
0:29:42 > 0:29:45- Ah, everyone's going to Australia.- Yes.
0:29:45 > 0:29:47I don't see how I could have voted otherwise.
0:29:47 > 0:29:49Great.
0:29:54 > 0:29:58The Aussie lifestyle was a real reminder to Craig and Chantelle
0:29:58 > 0:30:00of what they left behind in South Africa,
0:30:00 > 0:30:05but it also gave them a real glimpse of the future they could have Down Under.
0:30:05 > 0:30:07However, with finances looking tight,
0:30:07 > 0:30:12could the benefits of living in Oz come at too high a price?
0:30:12 > 0:30:15Craig and Chantelle bought their house eight years ago
0:30:15 > 0:30:18for just over £100,000.
0:30:18 > 0:30:22After Craig's constant DIY they're hoping for a higher price.
0:30:22 > 0:30:26We sent around two local estate agents to give up-to-date valuations.
0:30:29 > 0:30:31He cleaned his feet. Good boy.
0:30:35 > 0:30:38Lovely blinds. A very stylish fire.
0:30:38 > 0:30:41Good sized room, open-plan leading off the lounge.
0:30:44 > 0:30:49Right, the choice of units now, perhaps,
0:30:49 > 0:30:51five or six years ago would have been acceptable,
0:30:51 > 0:30:55but I think anybody looking at it may want to give it a makeover.
0:30:59 > 0:31:01Open-plan.
0:31:01 > 0:31:05Patio doors. Plenty of light in. Lovely.
0:31:05 > 0:31:10Downstairs bathroom looks like it could be nice when it's finished.
0:31:10 > 0:31:12He's nearly finished.
0:31:14 > 0:31:17- Dad, you're never going to finish that.- He will finish it.
0:31:17 > 0:31:20It's almost finished now.
0:31:20 > 0:31:22OK, a bit of a work in progress here.
0:31:22 > 0:31:24Oh, he's kind, isn't he Craig?
0:31:27 > 0:31:30This would suit a home office, even a fourth bedroom.
0:31:30 > 0:31:33But I'd recommend the vendors actually finish off
0:31:33 > 0:31:37to make it the finished product because the property will suffer slightly.
0:31:37 > 0:31:39Probably good advice.
0:31:40 > 0:31:42Oh, he's wearing his shoes on my stairs!
0:31:42 > 0:31:48- They'll be in big trouble won't they.- I'll hunt them down, Tito.
0:31:48 > 0:31:53Nice, pleasantly decorated. Cosy room.
0:31:54 > 0:31:57Number three. Good sized third bedroom.
0:31:57 > 0:31:58That's fairly clean.
0:31:58 > 0:32:00OK, very nice contemporary bathroom.
0:32:00 > 0:32:04- Very stylish and I think people would love this.- Oh, well done.
0:32:04 > 0:32:06Well done.
0:32:06 > 0:32:09Here we have a very good size three/four flexible
0:32:09 > 0:32:12semi-detached property. If you'd put the property on the market now
0:32:12 > 0:32:16I'd recommend an asking price of £105,000.
0:32:17 > 0:32:20If you wanted to sell it quickly I would keep the price
0:32:20 > 0:32:24under £100,000 and set it at £99,950.
0:32:24 > 0:32:26This is a nicely decorated,
0:32:26 > 0:32:30partially modernised, three bedroom semi-detached house.
0:32:30 > 0:32:34I would value it at approximately £115,000.
0:32:34 > 0:32:38For a quick sale, I would value the property at £105,000.
0:32:40 > 0:32:43I think what they failed to noticed there,
0:32:43 > 0:32:46now that most of the work's finished anyway,
0:32:46 > 0:32:49is that it's a four bedroom house not a three bedroom house.
0:32:49 > 0:32:52- He called it a three bedroom. - He called it a three bedroom house.
0:32:52 > 0:32:56You're going to have difficulty finding a four bedroom house
0:32:56 > 0:32:59for £120,000, under £120,000 let's put it that way.
0:32:59 > 0:33:04Craig might disagree about how his DIY has affected the house's value,
0:33:04 > 0:33:07but will he be able to argue with the price of living Down Under?
0:33:12 > 0:33:15While the children enjoy the sunshine,
0:33:15 > 0:33:19mum and dad get to compare living costs between the UK and Australia.
0:33:19 > 0:33:22Will this be another blow for Craig's dream?
0:33:27 > 0:33:31Wow, look at the difference there. Hallelujah.
0:33:31 > 0:33:33I'll have to kick my coffee habit.
0:33:33 > 0:33:37Look how much more expensive the potatoes are, Craigie. Ow.
0:33:37 > 0:33:40Ow, ow, ow.
0:33:40 > 0:33:44The everyday expenses come out at £220 more a month
0:33:44 > 0:33:47and that's before they've taken a bigger mortgage into account.
0:33:47 > 0:33:51So, you ready for the next lot? Brace yourself, boy.
0:33:51 > 0:33:54- I'm a bit worried about that. - Brace yourself.
0:33:54 > 0:33:58They've decided to use the third, most expensive house,
0:33:58 > 0:34:00for their calculations.
0:34:00 > 0:34:02Oh, my God.
0:34:04 > 0:34:07Well, this is quite expensive then. That's triple what we pay.
0:34:07 > 0:34:11That's three times our current mortgage payment.
0:34:11 > 0:34:15That's an extra £1,100 a month just on mortgage payments.
0:34:15 > 0:34:18Is there any chance their Australian salaries can make up
0:34:18 > 0:34:20for these huge outgoings?
0:34:20 > 0:34:24So, it looks like our after-tax monthly income in the UK
0:34:24 > 0:34:27- was £2,900-odd.- Yes.
0:34:28 > 0:34:31In Australia it looks like our monthly income
0:34:31 > 0:34:34would be about £5,938 after tax.
0:34:37 > 0:34:41That is great news. Their income is more than doubled in Australia.
0:34:41 > 0:34:43The move is back on.
0:34:43 > 0:34:45I'm a little bit happier now.
0:34:46 > 0:34:48You're very much happier, I can see.
0:34:51 > 0:34:53That's really good news.
0:34:53 > 0:34:55The figures do look promising on paper,
0:34:55 > 0:34:58but will Craig and Chantelle have faith in their calculations?
0:35:03 > 0:35:04BOTH: Australia.
0:35:04 > 0:35:07- It's a no-brainer really, isn't it? - Yeah.
0:35:10 > 0:35:13Discovering they could afford the life Craig dreams of
0:35:13 > 0:35:16looks to have made the breakthrough with Chantelle.
0:35:16 > 0:35:19But her biggest fear has always been about losing the things
0:35:19 > 0:35:21that money can't buy.
0:35:21 > 0:35:25The family have decided to watch messages from loved ones together
0:35:25 > 0:35:28so they know just what they'd be leaving behind.
0:35:28 > 0:35:33Hi, Craig. Hi, Chantelle. Hi, children. I hope you're having a fantastic time.
0:35:33 > 0:35:37Hi, guys. The France-Brothertons are unique.
0:35:37 > 0:35:39They're very unique, wonderful people.
0:35:39 > 0:35:44Chantelle is my absolute best friend in the whole wide world.
0:35:44 > 0:35:47Erm, she's the sister I never had.
0:35:47 > 0:35:52Alison is one of the coolest kids I know.
0:35:52 > 0:35:54Roxy's a little miss.
0:35:55 > 0:35:58And Tristan's away with the fairies.
0:35:58 > 0:36:02Obviously, I relate to him very well because we are very similar.
0:36:02 > 0:36:06I'm missing you a hell of a lot and...
0:36:08 > 0:36:14I'm very happy for you and I hope that you know that wherever I am,
0:36:14 > 0:36:17there will always be home for you.
0:36:17 > 0:36:19I don't want to think about it even.
0:36:19 > 0:36:22I can't think about it without crying.
0:36:22 > 0:36:25The kids, it's the kids I'm going to miss terribly.
0:36:25 > 0:36:28I'll miss them as well, but the whole family.
0:36:30 > 0:36:33It's quite wrenching, actually.
0:36:35 > 0:36:37Chantelle, I'll miss you.
0:36:37 > 0:36:41I can't imagine how much I would miss you, but I know now already
0:36:41 > 0:36:44that you are going to leave a big, big hole in my life.
0:36:44 > 0:36:47I know that you and Craig are doing the right thing
0:36:47 > 0:36:50and you're going to be really happy and you'll make it work.
0:36:50 > 0:36:53But never forget how much we love you.
0:37:02 > 0:37:05I know you guys are looking to fulfil a dream.
0:37:06 > 0:37:10It's one that is going to break my heart when you go.
0:37:12 > 0:37:14But I understand why you need to go.
0:37:15 > 0:37:19I'm going to miss you with every fibre of my being.
0:37:19 > 0:37:21Love you lots guys.
0:37:21 > 0:37:22All of you.
0:37:32 > 0:37:35For me, it's the worst bit. It's worse than anything.
0:37:37 > 0:37:39And I love all these people.
0:37:41 > 0:37:42Very, very much.
0:37:45 > 0:37:48I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do without them.
0:37:48 > 0:37:52I know I will if I have to but...
0:37:55 > 0:37:58Mum, I hate leaving people behind.
0:37:58 > 0:38:02I hate leaving people behind too, baby. I do too.
0:38:04 > 0:38:08Watching messages was a reminder of just how painful emigrating can be.
0:38:08 > 0:38:11But if Chantelle can't face leaving the people
0:38:11 > 0:38:15and home she loves it would mean the end to Craig's dream.
0:38:15 > 0:38:17For the second time in their lives,
0:38:17 > 0:38:20the France-Brothertons have to decide where their future lies.
0:38:21 > 0:38:25Their first move from South Africa was under terrible circumstances,
0:38:25 > 0:38:27but this choice won't be any easier.
0:38:28 > 0:38:34Doing this all before, it is quite hard to do it all again, I think.
0:38:36 > 0:38:40But in one way we know what's to come.
0:38:40 > 0:38:45The decision this time is nothing like the decision was last time
0:38:45 > 0:38:48because it's almost as if we didn't have much choice last time...
0:38:50 > 0:38:54..and the decision was made for us.
0:38:54 > 0:38:57All we were doing was prepping towards the move.
0:38:58 > 0:39:01This time I feel like I have a choice.
0:39:01 > 0:39:05It's much harder because it's me doing it this time
0:39:05 > 0:39:07instead of it happening to me.
0:39:07 > 0:39:09So when it comes to the final vote,
0:39:09 > 0:39:11have they seen enough to uproot the family again?
0:39:13 > 0:39:17Based on everything we found out this week we're going to give it
0:39:17 > 0:39:22one final vote as to where we think holds the best future for us.
0:39:22 > 0:39:23We're going to vote for...
0:39:28 > 0:39:30- Australia! - ALL: Australia!
0:39:30 > 0:39:32Australia.
0:39:33 > 0:39:38I'm very happy that everybody voted Australia. This is fantastic.
0:39:38 > 0:39:41It's a whole new life now. It's, er...
0:39:41 > 0:39:43- Got to start from the beginning again.- Yeah.
0:39:43 > 0:39:45And build a new life in Australia.
0:39:45 > 0:39:49OK, do you want me to change my vote now?
0:39:51 > 0:39:55In just one week Craig's family have been convinced that Australia
0:39:55 > 0:39:59could give them back the lifestyle they were forced to leave behind.
0:40:08 > 0:40:12The France-Brothertons' time Down Under saw them well and truly
0:40:12 > 0:40:14sold on a life in Australia.
0:40:15 > 0:40:19But did their enthusiasm outlast their suntans?
0:40:19 > 0:40:22Well, a few days ago Chantelle and Craig got in touch to say
0:40:22 > 0:40:23they had some news for us.
0:40:23 > 0:40:26I've come to Donnington to find out exactly what it is.
0:40:28 > 0:40:31- Hello, Chantelle.- Hello. - Lovely to meet you.- And you.
0:40:31 > 0:40:34I understand you've got some news to tell me
0:40:34 > 0:40:36and I've just spotted the sign.
0:40:36 > 0:40:39I do, indeed. Come in and I'll tell you.
0:40:39 > 0:40:44- So, what's happened since you've got back?- Well, it's all systems go.
0:40:44 > 0:40:48We stayed on for an extra couple of weeks in Australia.
0:40:48 > 0:40:52Craig applied for a job. He got offered it the day after we got back.
0:40:52 > 0:40:55Oh, my goodness! Things have really moved on.
0:40:55 > 0:40:57When does he go to Australia?
0:40:57 > 0:41:00He's leaving the day after tomorrow.
0:41:00 > 0:41:05He's going without us, the kids and I are staying until the end of July,
0:41:05 > 0:41:08after the school year's finished and until the house is sold.
0:41:08 > 0:41:10But, yes, it's all systems go.
0:41:10 > 0:41:13Most people take a year to plan to move Australia.
0:41:13 > 0:41:16You've done it in weeks. We're not talking months, we're talking weeks.
0:41:16 > 0:41:19You must be a very calm person.
0:41:20 > 0:41:23I manage pressure quite well so it'll be all right.
0:41:23 > 0:41:25It'll have to be, won't it!
0:41:25 > 0:41:28You mentioned there's work to be done on this house,
0:41:28 > 0:41:30obviously that is Craig's domain.
0:41:30 > 0:41:33He's done a huge amount of work over the last three weeks.
0:41:33 > 0:41:36He has worked his little socks off, he has.
0:41:36 > 0:41:39He had to finish the bathroom, the downstairs bathroom,
0:41:39 > 0:41:43which has been an ongoing, long-term project.
0:41:43 > 0:41:45He's done an absolutely super job.
0:41:45 > 0:41:48He's in the back at the moment sorting out all his tools
0:41:48 > 0:41:50he's got to take with him.
0:41:50 > 0:41:53- And has he packed his clothes or anything yet?- No.
0:41:53 > 0:41:54And he goes in a day and a half?
0:41:54 > 0:41:58Look at him - hard at work.
0:41:58 > 0:42:04- It's all rather exciting, isn't it, you moving in 48 hours.- Yes.
0:42:04 > 0:42:08Did you ever envisage this move was going to be quite so quick?
0:42:08 > 0:42:12No, definitely not. I thought we had at least a good few months.
0:42:12 > 0:42:16So when do you actually start your new job?
0:42:16 > 0:42:18It's just over a week's time.
0:42:18 > 0:42:21That's going to be a bit scary.
0:42:21 > 0:42:24But I think I'll do quite well out there.
0:42:24 > 0:42:30It's definitely what I want to do and it's an exciting opportunity.
0:42:30 > 0:42:32So, in a way, it's the best case scenario for you.
0:42:32 > 0:42:34- You've got what you wanted.- Yeah.
0:42:34 > 0:42:37But you're going to be working hard in Australia
0:42:37 > 0:42:41getting everything ready for when they come out, aren't you?
0:42:41 > 0:42:45- Yes, baby. The answer's yes. - The answer's yes, believe you me!
0:42:45 > 0:42:48We're absolutely delighted you're going to make the move.
0:42:48 > 0:42:50I don't think we quite expected it to be this soon.
0:42:50 > 0:42:53So Craig, all the best with your new job next week when you start.
0:42:53 > 0:42:55Exciting times.
0:42:55 > 0:42:58And Chantelle, you've got an awful lot of work to do
0:42:58 > 0:43:00here in the UK before you get on that plane.
0:43:00 > 0:43:03One last thing, Craig, please don't move again.
