0:03:37 > 0:03:39There is a challenge with the Irish language
0:03:39 > 0:03:42and I'm asking people
0:03:42 > 0:03:44maybe to follow me in my journey where we can
0:03:44 > 0:03:50reach out to people that got Cs and Bs and As in their leaving cert.
0:03:50 > 0:03:53And don't speak it but want to speak it, have a love, have a
0:03:53 > 0:03:56gra for the Irish and I'm asking people to look at that.
0:14:17 > 0:14:19We had the biggest fishing boat
0:14:19 > 0:14:22in Ireland built in this yard
0:14:22 > 0:14:23back in its time.
0:14:23 > 0:14:26But the wooden boats have unfortunately died away
0:14:26 > 0:14:29and that's where it's concentrated more on the steel
0:14:29 > 0:14:30and the fibreglass.
0:14:39 > 0:14:41Well, I've been working with the ferries these last 28 years
0:14:41 > 0:14:44and in 2009, I took over the
0:14:44 > 0:14:46Arranmore ferries from Cornelius Bonner.
0:14:46 > 0:14:49And with that, Cornelius
0:14:49 > 0:14:51had operated the boatyard.
0:14:51 > 0:14:54In the first year, we just used it for the ferries, mainly,
0:14:54 > 0:14:56but since the second year,
0:14:56 > 0:15:00we found there was a high demand for fishing boats and pleasure boats and
0:15:00 > 0:15:04ferries wanting to use the facility so we built a new cradle,
0:15:04 > 0:15:08we refurbished the yard a little and since then
0:15:08 > 0:15:10it's taken off, it's getting busier every year.
0:15:10 > 0:15:14And we have with great support locally.
