0:24:50 > 0:24:57.
0:25:16 > 0:25:19Sophie, Ben and Karim are going on a quest.
0:25:19 > 0:25:22Adventure! Excitement! Peril!
0:25:22 > 0:25:24You know, all the usual questy stuff.
0:25:24 > 0:25:28Their plan is to find a mysterious golden bird which lives
0:25:28 > 0:25:29deep in the forest.
0:25:29 > 0:25:32BIRD SQUEALS
0:25:33 > 0:25:37Unfortunately, they haven't actually set off yet because they've
0:25:37 > 0:25:42spent the past two hours arguing about who's going to carry what.
0:25:42 > 0:25:43Karim has hurt his arm,
0:25:43 > 0:25:46so he doesn't think he should carry too much.
0:25:46 > 0:25:49In fact, he's going to struggle to carry anything.
0:25:53 > 0:25:56Sophie is the smallest, so she thinks she should carry less than
0:25:56 > 0:25:59the others, especially Ben, who's much bigger.
0:25:59 > 0:26:02- Yoo hoo! Wa ha!- Yippee! Yippee!
0:26:04 > 0:26:08But Ben is seriously unhappy about carrying more stuff
0:26:08 > 0:26:11because he's only brought a tiny amount.
0:26:11 > 0:26:14He thinks, he can't help being bigger.
0:26:14 > 0:26:17Why should he have to carry other people's stuff?
0:26:17 > 0:26:18- Hmph!- Ohhh!
0:26:18 > 0:26:22So how are they going to sort it out and actually find the golden bird,
0:26:22 > 0:26:26now that they're not even talking to each other?
0:26:35 > 0:26:38CHILDREN CHATTER
0:26:43 > 0:26:47I think that they should all just carry an equal amount.
0:26:47 > 0:26:53I think the fairest way, for them to all carry their own things
0:26:53 > 0:26:56because it would be their fault if they packed too much.
0:26:56 > 0:26:59I think Sophie and Ben should help Karim
0:26:59 > 0:27:04because I broke my elbow once, so I know what it's like.
0:27:04 > 0:27:10And if they do make him carry, like, all the stuff, then it'll take
0:27:10 > 0:27:16longer to reach the bird, so it's for their sake and for his sake.
0:27:23 > 0:27:29I think fair means being equal and sharing out things,
0:27:29 > 0:27:32so people won't think you're really selfish
0:27:32 > 0:27:34and just think about yourself.
0:27:34 > 0:27:38Fair means that if, like, you have a pack of sweets
0:27:38 > 0:27:43and then they're ten, you could divide it equally by five each.
0:27:43 > 0:27:46Fair is where everyone agrees,
0:27:46 > 0:27:51so Karim and Sophie are going to have to agree.
0:27:54 > 0:27:59Hours later, and they've still not decided who's carrying what.
0:27:59 > 0:28:01Well, now, it's lunchtime,
0:28:01 > 0:28:04and Sophie's tummy is making some rather strange noises.
0:28:04 > 0:28:05STOMACH RUMBLES
0:28:05 > 0:28:08She says they should eat before they carry on,
0:28:08 > 0:28:10and suggests they all share out their lunches.
0:28:10 > 0:28:12- Yay!- Yeah!- Yeah!
0:28:12 > 0:28:14Karim has brought a pretty decent spread,
0:28:14 > 0:28:16lots of tasty stuff to keep them going.
0:28:17 > 0:28:21But Ben has only brought what he can afford, which isn't as much.
0:28:23 > 0:28:25And Sophie's brought, well, loads!
0:28:25 > 0:28:27Yay! Woo hoo!
0:28:27 > 0:28:30Karim's not sure about sharing when he's brought more than Ben,
0:28:30 > 0:28:33but then he has an idea.
0:28:33 > 0:28:35Maybe Ben could earn some extra food
0:28:35 > 0:28:38if he agrees to carry more on the journey.
0:28:38 > 0:28:41But Ben doesn't think it's fair to make him do all the work,
0:28:41 > 0:28:43just because he hasn't got as much food.
0:28:43 > 0:28:44THEY ALL TALK AT ONCE
0:28:44 > 0:28:48This is going to be tricky and... Oh, dear!
0:28:48 > 0:28:50It looks like they've spent so long arguing,
0:28:50 > 0:28:53the bird has flown off on a quest of its own.
0:28:53 > 0:28:56Oh, look! He's left them a little present!
0:29:04 > 0:29:07I don't think there's a perfect solution.
0:29:07 > 0:29:14So the only way I can think of that would be almost perfect is if,
0:29:14 > 0:29:17maybe, if they're all friends and they're friendly to each other,
0:29:17 > 0:29:19maybe they could share.
0:29:19 > 0:29:23The fairest things in life are where you actually earn it.
0:29:23 > 0:29:26So I think that Sophie should contribute
0:29:26 > 0:29:30an average-sized fraction of her food to Ben
0:29:30 > 0:29:37and to Karim a smaller fraction, so that Ben has an average amount.
