0:06:32 > 0:06:36- ..but there are some very - technical parts for the cornets...

0:08:56 > 0:09:00- Lowenna Taylor was someone - that we chose as the best soloist.
0:09:02 > 0:09:06- She puts a lot of feeling - in her playing.

0:18:23 > 0:18:27- ..but there were some starring - moments and this is one of them.

0:21:35 > 0:21:38- Chamber Winds gave a performance - of American Patrol...
0:21:38 > 0:21:41- ..and that particularly - stuck in my mind.
0:21:42 > 0:21:45- Woodwind players, - they're not jazzers...
0:21:45 > 0:21:48- ..they're straight players, - essentially.
0:21:48 > 0:21:51- But they managed - to make the thing swing.
0:22:03 > 0:22:07- It was a lovely arrangement - and they performed it...
0:22:07 > 0:22:10- ..with verve and enthusiasm - and I really enjoyed it.
0:22:10 > 0:22:15- They gave something which is not the - norm for a college wind ensemble.

0:24:28 > 0:24:32- Representing North Wales, - Tryfan Jazz Band.
0:24:35 > 0:24:38- Tryfan Jazz Band - had a very strong trombone section.
0:24:39 > 0:24:41- Merin Lleu is one of their stars.
0:24:41 > 0:24:46- His solo in Somewhere Over - The Rainbow touched the audience.
0:24:46 > 0:24:49- There would have been tears - in Treorchy.

0:32:13 > 0:32:17- There was great humour - but with all of that...
0:32:18 > 0:32:21- ..the musical performance - didn't suffer.
