0:01:04 > 0:01:08He then went on to work with Joe Egan in Stealers wheel.

0:13:57 > 0:14:02and I always liked melodic music, so that appealed to me, right?
0:14:02 > 0:14:03So I was curious about him
0:14:03 > 0:14:06and then I didn't realise at the time that he was also
0:14:06 > 0:14:08the guy from Stealers Wheel as well
0:14:08 > 0:14:11and, of course, I heard that song growing up a lot, too.
0:14:11 > 0:14:16But it was just one of those... I was just sort of drawn to it, you know.

0:19:09 > 0:19:15had a discussion at Gerry's funeral, after the funeral last January.
0:19:15 > 0:19:20about how we should preserve some kind of legacy,
0:19:20 > 0:19:24'and the idea came around to it being something based around his songs, really,
0:19:24 > 0:19:28'because the songs were what Gerry Rafferty lived for,
0:19:28 > 0:19:29'that was his artwork,'
0:19:29 > 0:19:33and he expressed himself greatly through songs.
0:19:33 > 0:19:37And so, building a concert around his work
0:19:37 > 0:19:41and inviting a number of interesting artists to come and perform them
0:19:41 > 0:19:43was the order of the day.
