0:05:56 > 0:06:00HE SINGS IN GAELIC
0:19:12 > 0:19:14SHE SPEAKS IN GAELIC
0:19:14 > 0:19:17You're very welcome. How would you describe your music, Calum?
0:19:17 > 0:19:22Heikki and I both have strong roots in traditional music, of course.
0:19:22 > 0:19:26Myself from the north of Scotland and Heikki from Brittany,
0:19:26 > 0:19:29so that plays a big part in our music.
0:19:29 > 0:19:31Also the compositions that we have.
0:19:31 > 0:19:33These are the sort of two sides of the repertoire, really.
0:19:33 > 0:19:38The traditional side and the compositions, but not trying to be
0:19:38 > 0:19:42too specific with one thing or another, really. Just exploring all these different tunes.
0:19:42 > 0:19:47- And having fun, you know.- So, Heikki, tell us how you guys met and why you decided to work together.
0:19:47 > 0:19:51We met...during a Celtic festival
0:19:51 > 0:19:56in 2005, and we were jamming after the concert.
0:19:56 > 0:20:02We've met again three years later in Lorient in the Celtic festival,
0:20:02 > 0:20:07and we spoke about our music and traditions
0:20:07 > 0:20:10and we thought it was a good idea to start to work together.
0:20:10 > 0:20:14So, Calum, what kind of sound are you trying to create for audiences?
0:20:14 > 0:20:17We both play in other bands, bigger bands, you know.
0:20:17 > 0:20:20But this duo is a real concentrated
0:20:20 > 0:20:24maybe more of an intense workout really for us.
0:20:24 > 0:20:28So it's less of a postcard image of the north of Scotland or Brittany,
0:20:28 > 0:20:33but more just, I guess, a taste of our musicality really.
0:20:33 > 0:20:36So, there's a bit of traditional music in there, compositions,
0:20:36 > 0:20:38but it's all wooden flute, guitar.
0:20:59 > 0:21:01# Nobody's fault but mine
0:21:01 > 0:21:04# Nobody's fault but mine
0:21:04 > 0:21:06# If I don't read My soul will be lost
0:21:06 > 0:21:09# Nobody's fault but mine...
0:21:29 > 0:21:32# My mama, she taught me how to read
0:21:32 > 0:21:35# Mama, she taught me how to read
0:21:35 > 0:21:37# If I don't read My soul will be lost
0:21:37 > 0:21:39# Nobody's fault but mine...
0:22:00 > 0:22:02# I got a Bible in my home
0:22:02 > 0:22:05# I got a Bible in my home
0:22:05 > 0:22:07# If I don't read my soul will be lost
0:22:07 > 0:22:10# Nobody's fault but mine...
0:22:30 > 0:22:33# Nobody's fault but mine
0:22:33 > 0:22:36# Nobody's fault but mine
0:22:36 > 0:22:38# If I don't read my soul will be lost
0:22:38 > 0:22:40# Nobody's fault but mine
0:22:40 > 0:22:44# Nobody's fault but mine. #
