0:20:53 > 0:20:56- Sigrid, ta failte romhat, you're welcome.- Thank you.
0:20:56 > 0:20:59Tell us about the piece of music you just performed for us.
0:20:59 > 0:21:01I performed a love song,
0:21:01 > 0:21:06originally a poem by the Danish poet Tove Ditlevsen.
0:21:06 > 0:21:09Eh, and the title was "Saa tag mit Hjerte",
0:21:09 > 0:21:13which means "Here, take my heart".
0:21:13 > 0:21:17Your music sounds very familiar. Do you think there are similarities
0:21:17 > 0:21:20between Norwegian folk music and Irish folk music?
0:21:20 > 0:21:25There are lots of similarities. I feel very related to your music.
0:21:25 > 0:21:29And I think all the music around in the northern Europe
0:21:29 > 0:21:32kind of are brothers and sisters to each other,
0:21:32 > 0:21:36so that's why we bring our fiddles together, we can play together
0:21:36 > 0:21:41and I think a lot of the songs and the melodies are quite melancholic
0:21:41 > 0:21:46and about the people, so I think our culture is quite similar.
0:21:46 > 0:21:50Where do you get the inspiration for your songs and your compositions?
0:21:50 > 0:21:55Mostly, in the folk music and the traditions that I grew up with,
0:21:55 > 0:21:59I like to tell stories.
0:21:59 > 0:22:05So that's how I see myself, kind of a musical storyteller.
0:22:05 > 0:22:10And based on the folk music expression,
0:22:10 > 0:22:14I kind of find my own sound, yeah.
0:22:14 > 0:22:18So, do you have any plans to tour Ireland in the future?
0:22:18 > 0:22:21Oh, I wish I could say yes!
0:22:21 > 0:22:24No, not in the nearest future, I don't.
0:22:24 > 0:22:27I have been here a couple of times, done small jobs,
0:22:27 > 0:22:32but I would love to come back with my whole band and play here.
0:22:32 > 0:22:35- And we would love to see you perform here.- Oh, thank you.
0:22:35 > 0:22:38- Sigrid, go raibh mile maith agat. - Thank you so much.
