0:03:47 > 0:03:50- It's an ideal place - in which to build a convent.

0:03:50 > 0:03:54- Sister Miranda - is one of the nuns who lives there.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11- I was brought up on Anglesey.

0:04:13 > 0:04:16- I attended - the convent school in Holyhead.

0:04:16 > 0:04:19- When I was about 15 years old...

0:04:19 > 0:04:24- ..I decided - to spend 15 minutes every day...

0:04:25 > 0:04:27- ..praying - and meditating on the gospel.

0:04:29 > 0:04:32- I also spent time - reflecting on Jesus' stories.

0:04:32 > 0:04:35- By doing that...

0:04:36 > 0:04:40- ..I asked myself, what could I do...

0:04:40 > 0:04:43- ..in response to God's love?

0:04:45 > 0:04:48- That's when - I decided to become a nun.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53- I was unhappy...

0:04:53 > 0:04:59- ..and I had to wrestle - with that question for months...

0:04:59 > 0:05:02- ..before deciding to become a nun.

0:05:02 > 0:05:05- I joined the order - at 17 years of age.

0:05:05 > 0:05:08- Initially I went to Ireland...

0:05:08 > 0:05:12- ..and spent two years there - as a period of induction...

0:05:12 > 0:05:14- ..before I took my vows.

0:05:15 > 0:05:19- When I returned to Holyhead, they - asked me to train as a teacher.

0:05:19 > 0:05:24- That meant going back to school - because I had no A levels.

0:05:24 > 0:05:27- I then went to Bangor University.

0:05:28 > 0:05:33- I came back here - to teach at the boarding school.

0:05:33 > 0:05:37- In time, - I became the school's headmistress.

0:05:38 > 0:05:42- It was a small school - with about 150 pupils.

0:05:43 > 0:05:49- A decision was taken - to close the school in 1983.

0:05:50 > 0:05:54- After selling the school building...

0:05:54 > 0:05:57- ..we moved - to this house in the town.

0:05:59 > 0:06:02- We started working in the parish.

0:06:02 > 0:06:07- I was asked to go to Ireland, - so I stayed there for 10 years.

0:06:07 > 0:06:10- Later, I returned to Holyhead...

0:06:11 > 0:06:15- ..and worked full time - in the parish.

0:06:17 > 0:06:19- We have a car...

0:06:19 > 0:06:24- ..which means we can - give people lifts to church...

0:06:25 > 0:06:28- ..or to Ysbyty Gwynedd.

0:06:28 > 0:06:32- Many people - are without family and are lonely.

0:06:32 > 0:06:34- They need some sort of support.
