0:14:43 > 0:14:48- I saw all these people getting off - the boats. Mothers and children.

0:14:51 > 0:14:55- ..in Syria and on buses - on the way over from Turkey.

0:15:07 > 0:15:11- I expected to be collecting clothing - like I'd done here.
0:15:11 > 0:15:13- But the demand was so high.

0:15:19 > 0:15:22- ..helping to give out - food, clothes and shoes.
0:15:27 > 0:15:30- At one stage, - the weather was so awful...

0:15:33 > 0:15:37- Just a hut with a countless number - of people including little babies.
0:15:38 > 0:15:41- I boiled kettles for them. - Volunteers had to feed them.

0:15:57 > 0:16:01- ..wearing a carrier bag for a nappy - with sores all over.
0:16:04 > 0:16:08- I spoke to one woman - who had come from Aleppo.
0:16:08 > 0:16:11- Her son had been killed by a bomb.
0:16:11 > 0:16:15- The electric wire had hit him - and he'd been electrocuted.
0:16:15 > 0:16:21- She was travelling with a boy. - I took it that he was her son.
0:16:21 > 0:16:23- But he wasn't her son.
0:16:24 > 0:16:26- He'd been travelling alone...
0:16:26 > 0:16:30- ..and she took him under her wing - and looked after him.
0:16:34 > 0:16:38- They lost their children not only - in the war but on the journey...
0:16:39 > 0:16:41- ..and then on the boats.
0:16:54 > 0:16:59- I witnessed a lot. It's changed - my life and my attitude.
