:00:14. > :00:19.know. In a ditch, probably. Hiding. On over the place, to be honest. I

:00:20. > :00:24.have heard about a place called the rabbit hole. Hopefully celebrating

:00:25. > :00:27.in a wigwam. Loitering? With my family and friends. I am not telling

:00:28. > :00:51.you where you can find me! Hello and welcome back to

:00:52. > :00:56.Glastonbury 2014. Day two and I'll only feel like I have been here a

:00:57. > :01:01.week and a half, in a good way. You have. We have done three radio shows

:01:02. > :01:05.already. I am on top of everything and it is going really well. Great

:01:06. > :01:09.to be with you. We are overlooking the site. Hello, everybody.

:01:10. > :01:15.Thousands of people waving, but there is no camera so we can gloss

:01:16. > :01:21.over that! We were told there might be a repeat of the electrical storm

:01:22. > :01:24.and it has just started to rain. A little bit of precipitation

:01:25. > :01:29.forecast. If lightning happens, we have got plan B. The weather has

:01:30. > :01:36.been something from Bohemian Rhapsody but it has also been fun so

:01:37. > :01:41.far. The Manic Street Preachers are coming to chat to us later. Before

:01:42. > :01:42.we do any of that, let's catch you up on what has been happening, shall

:01:43. > :02:14.we? # You are supposed to care.

:02:15. > :02:43.# All you do is take. Lily Allen. She was brilliant

:02:44. > :02:47.yesterday. And Debbie Harry. All round a colourful day. Blondie were

:02:48. > :02:53.looking more monochrome. But you just saw the spectacular performance

:02:54. > :02:56.from Arcade Fire. Like a carnival. Everything and several kitchen

:02:57. > :03:03.sinks. Pink Floyd have got nothing on them. Brilliant. We don't want to

:03:04. > :03:07.go on about the weather but there were consequences of the electrical

:03:08. > :03:13.storm. All of the stages were closed down and certain acts got taken off

:03:14. > :03:17.mid set. In the acoustic tent they went after two songs. Even the

:03:18. > :03:23.acoustic tent? Yes, that they sang among us, so it really was acoustic!

:03:24. > :03:27.Rudimental had a main stage act and they were gutted. Literally in

:03:28. > :03:40.tears. I am sure people watching the coverage at home last year will

:03:41. > :03:43.remember how great they were on the other was their big shot at the

:03:44. > :03:48.Pyramid and then the heavens opened. I think they had got to their big

:03:49. > :03:52.track, which is called Spoons. Then it went wrong. Everybody has been

:03:53. > :03:58.feeling sorry for them and they have got press out, which means it has

:03:59. > :03:59.been OK in the end. This is Rudimental from the Pyramid stage

:04:00. > :05:29.yesterday. # I feel the chemicals burning my

:05:30. > :06:05.bloodstream. # Thought I had found her.

:06:06. > :06:08.# God make me another one. # God forgive me for the things I

:06:09. > :06:20.have done. # I was never meant to hurt no one.

:06:21. > :06:37.# Brokenhearted. # No, don't leave me lonely.

:06:38. > :06:42.# Oh, colour crimson in my eyes. # This is how it ends.

:06:43. > :06:51.# I feel the chemicals burning my bloodstream.

:06:52. > :06:53.# Fading out again. # I feel the chemicals burning my

:06:54. > :07:49.bloodstream. # Tell me when it kicks in.

:07:50. > :07:53.# All the voices calling across the line.

:07:54. > :07:58.# All the voices in my mind. # Calling out across the line.

:07:59. > :08:04.# All the voices in my mind. # Calling out across the line.

:08:05. > :08:09.# All the voices in my mind. # Calling out across the line.

:08:10. > :08:14.# All the voices in my mind. # Calling out across the line.

:08:15. > :08:21.# While the voices in my mind. # Calling out across the line.

:08:22. > :08:27.# All the voices in my mind. # Calling out across the line.

:08:28. > :08:36.# All the voices in my mind. # Tell me when it kicks in.

:08:37. > :08:53.Glastonbury! How does it feel right now?

:08:54. > :09:18.We ain't done yet. We not finished with you.

:09:19. > :09:27.That feels right. Glastonbury, can I get you to come down low with us?

:09:28. > :09:37.Can we get down low? Can you get down low with us?

:09:38. > :10:02.Get down low. Get down low. Get down. And here, too. Get down. Get

:10:03. > :10:12.down. # In my bloodstream, in my

:10:13. > :10:25.bloodstream. # In my bloodstream.

:10:26. > :10:36.# Tell me when it kicks in. # Tell me when it kicks in.

:10:37. > :11:22.# Tell me when it kicks in. Thank you. Make some noise for

:11:23. > :11:27.Rudimental. Can you make some noise for Ed?

:11:28. > :11:33.There you go. They might have been cut off that they were having a

:11:34. > :11:37.great time and I have never seen anybody having a piggyback off

:11:38. > :11:42.security. Lucky he was a big lad because there are some spry girls at

:11:43. > :11:45.the front. What would have happened then? Not everybody was

:11:46. > :11:52.enthusiastically getting down low. It is too muddy, make! Everybody has

:11:53. > :11:58.been standing up for six hours! But it was a great set from them. And Ed

:11:59. > :12:02.Sheeran. I remember him three years ago sitting patiently like a little

:12:03. > :12:08.ginger health on a toadstool in our studios that in the compound waiting

:12:09. > :12:13.patiently to do his first acoustic. And look where he is now. A lady did

:12:14. > :12:19.an acoustic performance for us in the BBC music TP on BBC six music.

:12:20. > :12:21.She played yesterday and she is playing this afternoon as well. She

:12:22. > :13:13.is from Melbourne. # I sleep in late another day.

:13:14. > :13:25.# Oh, what a wonder, what a waste. # It is a Monday, Monday. Things

:13:26. > :13:30.will happen today. # I guess the neighbours must think

:13:31. > :13:35.we run a meth lab. # We should amend that.

:13:36. > :13:38.# I pull the sheets back. # It is 40 degrees and I feel like I

:13:39. > :13:42.am dying. # Life is getting hard in here so I

:13:43. > :13:46.do some gardening. # Anything to take my mind away from

:13:47. > :13:51.where it is supposed to be. # The nice lady next door talks of

:13:52. > :13:55.green beds and the nice things she wants to plant.

:13:56. > :14:00.# I want to grow tomatoes on the doorsteps.

:14:01. > :14:04.# Sunflowers, bean sprouts, sweetcorn and radishes.

:14:05. > :14:06.# I feel proactive, I pull out weeds.

:14:07. > :14:13.# All of a sudden I am having trouble breathing in.

:14:14. > :14:36.# I am having trouble breathing in. # I am having trouble breathing in.

:14:37. > :15:35.# My hands are shaky. # My knees are weak # I can?t seem to stand # On my

:15:36. > :15:38.own two feet I?m breathing but i?m wheezing

:15:39. > :15:42.Feel like i?m emphysem-in? My throat feels like a funnel Filled with weet

:15:43. > :15:46.bix and kerosene and Oh no, next thing i know They call up triple o

:15:47. > :15:49.I?d rather die than owe the hospital Till I get old I get adrenalin

:15:50. > :15:52.Straight to the heart I feel like was really sick and i Had too much

:15:53. > :15:55.psuedoefedryn and i Couldn?t sleep at night Halfway down high street,

:15:56. > :15:59.andy looks ambivalent He?s probably wondering what i?m doing getting in

:16:00. > :16:05.an ambulance The paramedic thinks i?m clever cos i play guitar I think

:16:06. > :16:08.she?s clever cos she stops people i?m clever cos i play guitar I think

:16:09. > :16:10.she?s clever cos she stops people dying Anaphylactic and super

:16:11. > :16:14.hypocondriactic Should?ve stayed in bed today I much prefer the mundane.

:16:15. > :16:16.I take a hit from An asthma puffer I do it wrong I was never good

:16:17. > :17:15.at smoking bongs. I?m not that good at breathing in.

:17:16. > :17:25.Thank you. Her name is Courtney Barnett and that is the best song

:17:26. > :17:31.you're going to hear this year about having a panic attack when you're

:17:32. > :17:34.doing the gardening. She is on at five o'clock today. You can check

:17:35. > :17:40.out all the stages live on the Glastonbury website. If you want to

:17:41. > :17:45.watch said as it happens, you can. All of the six stages at the

:17:46. > :17:50.festival are streaming live. She was great. She reminded me of Patti

:17:51. > :17:55.Smith. I just love the sparse backing. It shows you the sustaining

:17:56. > :18:02.power of guitar bass drums. It was good stuff. Look at the new columns

:18:03. > :18:08.at the side of the Park Stage. I have a new this year? I think so.

:18:09. > :18:15.They are very attractive. It is like John Nash has been around. We are

:18:16. > :18:21.going to have to live acoustic music now. This is a lady who is bringing

:18:22. > :18:25.country music to new audiences, both at home in the States and here. She

:18:26. > :18:34.has covered Dolly Parton who will be playing tomorrow at four o'clock. I

:18:35. > :18:47.have a Dolly Parton by John. I am so jealous. It is probably not that

:18:48. > :19:31.impressive at distance. This woman is from Golden in taxes. Here we go.

:19:32. > :19:35.If you ain't got two kids by 21, You're probably gonna die alone.

:19:36. > :19:37.Least that's what tradition told you.

:19:38. > :19:39.And it don't matter if you don't believe,

:19:40. > :20:17.Come Sunday morning, you best be there in the front row like you're

:20:18. > :20:20.supposed to. # Same hurt in every heart.

:20:21. > :20:22.# Same trailer, different park. # Mama's hooked on Mary Kay.

:20:23. > :20:24.# Brother's hooked on Mary Jane. # Daddy's hooked on Mary two doors

:20:25. > :20:27.down. # Mary, Mary quite contrary.

:20:28. > :21:11.# We get bored, so, we get married # Just like dust, we settle in this

:21:12. > :21:13.town. # We think the first time's good

:21:14. > :21:15.enough. # So, we hold on to high school

:21:16. > :21:17.love. # Sayin' we won't end up like our

:21:18. > :21:21.parents. # Tiny little boxes in a row.

:21:22. > :21:23.# Ain't what you want, it's what you know.

:21:24. > :21:25.# Just happy in the shoes you're wearin'.

:21:26. > :21:29.# Same checks we're always cashin' to buy a little more distraction.

:21:30. > :21:33.# 'Cause mama's hooked on Mary Kay. # Brother's hooked on Mary Jane.

:21:34. > :21:34.# Daddy's hooked on Mary two doors down.

:21:35. > :21:38.# Mary, Mary, quite contrary. # We get bored, so, we get married.

:21:39. > :21:40.# Just like dust, we settle in this town.

:21:41. > :21:43.# On this broken merry go 'round and 'round and 'round we go

:21:44. > :21:45.# Where it stops nobody knows and it ain't slowin' down.

:21:46. > :22:01.# This merry go 'round. # Mary, Mary, quite contrary.

:22:02. > :22:04.# We're so bored until we're buried. # Just like dust, we settle in this

:22:05. > :22:16.town. # On this broken merry go 'round.

:22:17. > :22:27.# Merry go 'round. # Jack and Jill went up the hill.

:22:28. > :22:54.# Jack burned out on booze and pills.

:22:55. > :23:06.# And Mary had a little lamb. Mary just don't give a damn no more.

:23:07. > :23:12.Glastonbury is great. It is wonderful to have a mix of different

:23:13. > :23:18.voices altogether in the one place. Yes, and there are voices which

:23:19. > :23:22.carry a political message. There is always lots of campaigning, in a

:23:23. > :23:27.gentle way of Glastonbury. One of the voices associated with that was

:23:28. > :23:30.the late Tony Benn. He became a fixture on the folk circuit with the

:23:31. > :23:36.singer songwriter Roy Bailey. He formed a bit of a jewel with him. He

:23:37. > :23:41.has been a regular visitor to these parts, particularly with Billy

:23:42. > :23:50.Bright. Let's have a look at Tony Bennett Glastonbury. When I come

:23:51. > :23:54.here and I look at all the young people at Glastonbury, I realise

:23:55. > :24:02.that my grandchildren and you are going to have to build the world

:24:03. > :24:08.afresh. The idea that hundreds of thousands of others are gathering in

:24:09. > :24:11.religion -- gathering in rural England to share experiences and

:24:12. > :24:15.discuss ideas, it is an idea that goes back centuries. Tony Benn

:24:16. > :24:27.wanted to be the person that encouraged us. He really enjoyed

:24:28. > :24:31.himself. He was funny. This being our first year without Tony Benn as

:24:32. > :24:35.headliner, he was the one who always drew a crowd. We have kept pride of

:24:36. > :24:43.place for Tony in the centre of the stage. We will keep his banner. He

:24:44. > :24:49.encouraged us. We will take the whole thing off with a special

:24:50. > :24:54.tribute to Tony. Myself, and Mike Leavis, and his granddaughter will

:24:55. > :24:59.say a few words. My name is Emily Benn. I was privileged enough to be

:25:00. > :25:04.the granddaughter of Tony. There are not many people whose Glastonbury

:25:05. > :25:10.companion is there it here at year -- 88-year-old grandfather. When he

:25:11. > :25:15.spoke and 20 read what he had to say, you got the sense of something

:25:16. > :25:20.profound going on. We miss that from politics and therefore we missed

:25:21. > :25:24.someone like him. The fight that he came from a working-class background

:25:25. > :25:31.did not stop him from understanding the problems that people face. He

:25:32. > :25:39.was just so inspirational. He could talk to anybody. One time he

:25:40. > :25:45.actually drove through the festival and an open top linking convertible.

:25:46. > :25:49.He used to say that when he was low and needed a boost, he knew pretty

:25:50. > :25:55.could come to, Glastonbury, and he would feel better. If we set our

:25:56. > :26:02.minds to it, there is nothing we cannot achieve. He was very big on

:26:03. > :26:06.radical Christianity and so on. Lots of that is shared by the guy that

:26:07. > :26:11.founded and runs the Glastonbury Festival, Mike Leavis. It was the

:26:12. > :26:24.nonconformism that we were both weaned on. Both him and my family.

:26:25. > :26:31.We have renamed the left-field power. It is pretty appropriate to

:26:32. > :26:37.call it the power of strength. That cannot be a better title. He loved

:26:38. > :26:41.what was on it, people pulling backwards together in solidarity.

:26:42. > :26:51.For it to be named after him, that is amazing.

:26:52. > :26:57.Tony Bennett Glastonbury. Lots of that centred around the left-field

:26:58. > :27:02.stage, and Billy Brown. Once again, you cannot get away. The Manic

:27:03. > :27:07.Street Preachers are here. It is an awkward scheduling Cuenca DIMMs.

:27:08. > :27:13.Welcome. Well done. You Smith that out, the backstage toilet

:27:14. > :27:16.facilities. Yes, we were having a funny discussion on Twitter the

:27:17. > :27:22.other night. How has the festival been for you so far? IT must last

:27:23. > :27:27.night and did some busking. Then I had to go back to Cardiff and see my

:27:28. > :27:33.kid and my dog. We got here two hours ago. I will climb onto four in

:27:34. > :27:38.the morning. You are on the other stage at half past seven tonight.

:27:39. > :27:45.Your record, it is a great festival record. I am not sure that anyone

:27:46. > :27:58.will know it yet. It is an epic sound. I have come in my Eastern

:27:59. > :28:04.Block trench coat. But the big riffs of the new album, it will work well.

:28:05. > :28:09.You do not want to overdo it and bore everyone. I cannot help

:28:10. > :28:14.noticing that neither Paris is appearing at the festival today, and

:28:15. > :28:18.that obviously you guys around. You have a song together. I am wondering

:28:19. > :28:31.if you have any guess that may join you on the stage later? We could not

:28:32. > :28:36.get it to happen. Nina Persson. Kate Lobont. We are going to have

:28:37. > :28:43.somebody on stage with us tonight, definitely. Other Nina. I do going

:28:44. > :28:50.to be winning that had. It is my rugby had. I am sorry. We will have

:28:51. > :28:55.on our demand when we get back to the bus. Be used or have the big

:28:56. > :29:00.flag on your amplifiers? Yes, it is glued on with sweat and hard work.

:29:01. > :29:06.You said you are going through to four in the morning. Yes. I only

:29:07. > :29:11.ever get drunk at sporting occasions. This is my other excuse.

:29:12. > :29:18.I have got some good linkups tonight. It is a heavy crew. What

:29:19. > :29:26.about you, when are you going to bed? I'm hoping to get back for

:29:27. > :29:32.Uruguay against Colombia. I enjoyed the coverage last night. It was

:29:33. > :29:43.great last night. That is my ideal match. Thank you for coming to see

:29:44. > :29:48.us. The Manic Street Preachers, check out their new album. It is

:29:49. > :30:02.brilliant. We are going to go to Gemma. She is making friends.

:30:03. > :30:06.We are in the hospitality area schmoozing. Apparently this is where

:30:07. > :30:14.the serious fashionistas hang out. Is this true? I think so. We can

:30:15. > :30:18.represent our own style, you know. I have seen some interesting outfits.

:30:19. > :30:23.This is particularly fetching. This is what I am talking about. This is

:30:24. > :30:26.perfect because you can wear whatever you want underneath it. If

:30:27. > :30:34.you are not familiar with these wonders, this visual splendour on

:30:35. > :30:40.your eyes, it is The Cuban Brothers, of course! Who else would you find

:30:41. > :30:48.in hospitality but these VIPs? How are you finding the dripping? I am

:30:49. > :30:54.dealing with it. I am outside. It is a little bit soggy. How do you keep

:30:55. > :31:01.it up? I have a waterproof thing underneath. So if I get wet on top,

:31:02. > :31:07.I have a waterproof underneath. Can you give some morale boosting tips

:31:08. > :31:13.for our hungover bottoms? He does not speak very good English! I think

:31:14. > :31:19.the best thing to do is maybe laminate your body or something.

:31:20. > :31:26.Maybe cover yourself in WD-40 say the water is just falling off you in

:31:27. > :31:30.this manner. It is just water. It is not going to damage you. It is a

:31:31. > :31:36.beautiful thing. It is Glastonbury 2014. What is the weirdest thing

:31:37. > :31:40.that you have seen since you have been here? I only just got here five

:31:41. > :31:45.minutes ago so maybe you looking so fabulous. I am the weirdest thing

:31:46. > :31:52.you have seen? That is not what I said. OK... He is not very well. He

:31:53. > :31:58.has just woken up. The strangest thing I have seen, to be honest,

:31:59. > :32:03.there was an entertainer back in the day and there was a guy who had

:32:04. > :32:08.another gripe on a harness and they work bouncing around the field. --

:32:09. > :32:18.another guy. It was the most wonderful thing I have seen so far.

:32:19. > :32:22.OK! Harnesses, VIP chat, all with the Cuban Brothers in the

:32:23. > :32:27.hospitality area. That is the spirit, isn't it? They are known for

:32:28. > :32:32.DJ naked and break dancing when they get going. I was once at a house

:32:33. > :32:36.party when they did it and there was a laminate floor. The squeak of

:32:37. > :32:42.flesh as the back spinning began haunts me to this day. I find it

:32:43. > :32:46.hard to partake of their work. I was keen on them but I feel less keen

:32:47. > :32:54.after that! Waterproof layers, next to your skin with closing on top.

:32:55. > :32:57.Laminate yourself? Good step. I tell you who will not take that tipped to

:32:58. > :33:07.heart because she is fabulously attired wherever she goes. It is the

:33:08. > :33:12.phenomenal new album Food, named after the fact that she nearly left

:33:13. > :33:17.music after training as a cordon bleu chef. I wonder if she sampled

:33:18. > :33:22.everything here? She probably did. She took her own food truck to the

:33:23. > :33:38.Southwest Festival. She is the ever fresh and wonderful Kelis.

:33:39. > :33:51.If you know this one, get ready to sing along!

:33:52. > :34:03.# I showed you that I love too. # You might trick me once. Won't let

:34:04. > :34:19.you trick me twice. Seen it here one too many times.

:34:20. > :34:24.# So you might trick me once. # I won't let you trick me twice.

:34:25. > :34:30.# You might trick me once. # I won't let you trick me twice.

:34:31. > :34:32.# You might trick me once. # I won't let you trick me twice.

:34:33. > :34:50.# I won't let you trick me twice. # It is only because I am not with

:34:51. > :34:54.you that you make me number one. # Although I love you, it hurts me

:34:55. > :35:02.deep inside. # Now you no longer have to hide.

:35:03. > :35:10.# Started getting heavy when I really wasn't ready.

:35:11. > :35:13.# Called the police, there is a man gone down.

:35:14. > :35:38.# It is not how I want to get down. # Might trick me once

:35:39. > :36:53.# I won't let you trick me twice This next song is one of my

:36:54. > :36:57.favourites off my new album. For the simple reason just that there are so

:36:58. > :37:03.many break-up songs and nobody ever talks about after you are Andy and

:37:04. > :37:08.-- angry and sad. The practical stuff, which is important, too. I

:37:09. > :37:28.want all my stuff back! I like this one.

:37:29. > :37:38.# It is the strangest thing to have you back in my face.

:37:39. > :37:46.# With all these years past, I got used to my space.

:37:47. > :37:53.# I don't know how to feel. # This whole thing seems so surreal.

:37:54. > :37:59.# So you keep one foot out the door. # Baby, don't go.

:38:00. > :38:06.# We got so much history. # I hurt you, you heard me.

:38:07. > :38:14.# No, we don't need therapy. # What I need is you here.

:38:15. > :38:20.# And even though I know I'm right. # Just like a lapse in my memory.

:38:21. > :38:27.# I want you, baby, don't go. # Baby, don't go.

:38:28. > :38:30.# I'm so glad you gave me back my keys.

:38:31. > :38:37.# Oh, I'm so glad you gave me back my keys.

:38:38. > :38:55.# I'm so glad you give back my keys. # My keys.

:38:56. > :39:03.# You got so many issues. # I am just helping myself that I

:39:04. > :39:09.don't know who is going to help you. # Like a lapse in my memory, I want

:39:10. > :39:20.you. # Baby, don't go.

:39:21. > :39:28.# Don't go. # Baby, don't.

:39:29. > :39:38.# Stay the night. # Don't go.

:39:39. > :39:55.# Baby, baby, don't. # You go back my keys.

:39:56. > :40:00.# Oh, I'm so glad you give back my keys

:40:01. > :40:04.# Oh, I'm so glad you give back my keys

:40:05. > :40:09.# Oh, I'm so glad you give back my keys

:40:10. > :40:18.# Oh, I'm so glad you give back my keys

:40:19. > :40:24.# Oh, I'm so glad you give back my keys

:40:25. > :41:33.# Game over. # Give me what I want.

:41:34. > :41:38.# Give me what I need. # I am Becky you, please.

:41:39. > :41:42.# I am down on my knees. # Give me what I want, give me what

:41:43. > :41:44.I need. # I am begging you, please.

:41:45. > :41:58.# I am down on my knees. # Give me what I want.

:41:59. > :42:06.# Give me what I need. # I am begging you, please.

:42:07. > :42:29.# I am down on my knees. # Give me what I want, give me what

:42:30. > :42:31.# Give me what I want. # Give me what I need.

:42:32. > :42:35.# I am begging you, please. # I am down on my knees.

:42:36. > :42:38.# Give me what I want. # Give me what I need.

:42:39. > :42:41.# I am begging you, please. # I am down on my knees.

:42:42. > :42:44.# Give me what I want. # Give me what I need.

:42:45. > :42:48.# I am begging you, please. # I am down on my knees.

:42:49. > :42:52.# Give me what I want. # Give me what I need.

:42:53. > :43:09.# I am begging you, please. # I am down on my knees.

:43:10. > :43:22.# You are not even my type. I want tall. All the way back there in the

:43:23. > :43:28.corner. Yeah, you. # To us?

:43:29. > :43:36.# Year, you. # Ice cold water.

:43:37. > :43:44.# Give me ice-cold water. # She needs ice-cold water. Say it

:43:45. > :43:47.again. # She needs ice-cold water. One more

:43:48. > :44:01.time. # She needs ice-cold water.

:44:02. > :44:06.# Rock back and forth, baby. # No, not too close to me.

:44:07. > :44:14.# Rock back and forth, baby. # No, not too close to me.

:44:15. > :44:17.# Give me what I want. # Give me what I need.

:44:18. > :44:20.# I am begging you, please. # I am down on my knees.

:44:21. > :44:23.# Give me what I want. # Give me what I need.

:44:24. > :44:26.# I am begging you, please. # I am down on my knees.

:44:27. > :44:29.# Give me what I want. # Give me what I need.

:44:30. > :44:38.# I am begging you, please. # I am down on my knees.

:44:39. > :44:41.# Give me what I want. # Give me what I need.

:44:42. > :44:48.# I am begging you, please. # I am down on my knees.

:44:49. > :44:50.# Give me what I want. # Give me what I need.

:44:51. > :45:32.# I am begging you, please. # I am down on my knees.

:45:33. > :45:35.go. I just want to dance, is that all right?

:45:36. > :46:40.CHEERING # La la-la la la,

:46:41. > :46:54.# Warm it up. # Lala-lalala,

:46:55. > :46:56.# The boys are waiting My milkshake brings all the boys to

:46:57. > :46:58.the yard, And they're like

:46:59. > :47:00.It's better than yours, Damn right it's better than yours,

:47:01. > :47:17.I can teach you, But I have to charge

:47:18. > :47:19.I can see you're on it, You want me to teach thee

:47:20. > :47:21.Techniques that freaks these boys, It can't be bought,

:47:22. > :47:34.Just know, thieves get caught, Watch if your smart,

:47:35. > :47:37.# And they're like # It's better than yours,

:47:38. > :47:38.# Damn right it's better than yours, # I can teach you,

:47:39. > :47:54.# But I have to charge CHEERING

:47:55. > :47:59.That is a classic track. Milkshake. And some brilliant tracks

:48:00. > :48:07.from her new album. It is well worth checking out. Great fun. What a

:48:08. > :48:11.great band and a great voice. That song has always worried me. If you

:48:12. > :48:15.are setting up a milkshake emporium, high Street frontage is

:48:16. > :48:18.what you want. You think that the customer should be prepared to

:48:19. > :48:25.travel. You cannot assume they are going to. It has worked for her. She

:48:26. > :48:29.has got quite a lot going for her. If I had been her business adviser,

:48:30. > :48:35.I would have said, that is a long shot.

:48:36. > :48:40.Maybe she thinks outside the box. A sunny afternoon at Glastonbury. That

:48:41. > :48:47.was perfect. She knows what she is doing. That was more or less a few

:48:48. > :48:54.moments ago at Glastonbury. We have Nina Persson coming up. She is

:48:55. > :49:00.behind us. She is on the Parks page. You can watch everything as it

:49:01. > :49:05.happens on the website. Right now, we are going to take you back a

:49:06. > :49:10.year, for a sound reason. We spoke about Tony Benn. He was a voice and

:49:11. > :49:15.presence at Glastonbury. We heard very recently, while we have been on

:49:16. > :49:20.the site, someone who made a big impact in recent times has also

:49:21. > :49:23.sadly passed away. It is the great Bobby Womack. I was like enough to

:49:24. > :49:28.have him on my radio programme and to see him live three times last

:49:29. > :49:32.year. Even though his health was not great, he was being driven to the

:49:33. > :49:38.stage rather than walking there, his voice was incredible. Better than

:49:39. > :49:44.ever. Again, I great band and Kenya had to put on a show. He made sure

:49:45. > :49:48.he had a cracking band with him. He was loving every minute of it. I

:49:49. > :49:51.spoke to him at the latitude Festival and he was full of

:49:52. > :49:57.fantastic stories and having a great time. We thought it would be nice to

:49:58. > :49:58.remember the great Bobby Womack with this performance. This was last

:49:59. > :50:25.year. # But I have to charge

:50:26. > :50:37.# With the things you say Shatter your world.

:50:38. > :50:56.Deep in your heart, with negative vibes

:50:57. > :51:36.Let me hear you all singing one time. That is such sad news.

:51:37. > :51:40.Especially at the festival really give such brilliant performances.

:51:41. > :51:46.Everybody is thinking about him today. We should be thankful for the

:51:47. > :51:55.great work you did that the end of his life. Absolutely. His last album

:51:56. > :52:01.was brilliant. Superb. We have loads more to bring you. Nina Persson on

:52:02. > :52:08.the stage behind us. Lots of good people on that stage today. This is

:52:09. > :52:12.someone else that we are both fans. She has appeared on both the version

:52:13. > :52:14.was. Yes, and she was still playing when we arrived to present this

:52:15. > :53:15.programme for you. vibes

:53:16. > :53:38.# I haven't seen you in the longest while

:53:39. > :54:20.# I thank you # I'll help you, I'll help you

:54:21. > :54:45.# I took a back seat # Everyone agreed to help you

:54:46. > :54:46.# I can't help you, I can't help you # After the fact, we were out of

:54:47. > :55:31.steam # Can't help you, can't help

:55:32. > :56:01.# Can't help you, can't help you # Can't help you, can't help

:56:02. > :56:24.# Can't help you, can't help you I love that song. It reminds me of

:56:25. > :56:31.other bands. Yes, I love the saxophone. We have been finding out

:56:32. > :56:36.on the television about the people that make the festival take. This is

:56:37. > :56:41.what we're going to be speaking about next. I have written

:56:42. > :56:48.tomorrow's front-page story on the onside newspaper. Has that broke the

:56:49. > :56:52.exclusive. It has not. It is going to be good. They publish this every

:56:53. > :57:01.day at Festival time. I have trodden on this. We are in a Glastonbury

:57:02. > :57:04.tales series. We're finding out about the people that run

:57:05. > :57:10.institutions like this. We are finding out about the man behind

:57:11. > :57:17.this paper right now. I am Denis Gould from Stroud. I am part of the

:57:18. > :57:22.Glastonbury free press. It took us completely by surprise last year,

:57:23. > :57:27.the first year. We came to print the Glastonbury free press and as soon

:57:28. > :57:30.as we opened the tent, the world's media were filming not pass but this

:57:31. > :57:41.beautiful machine, the Rolls-Royce of letter prices. Printing 20,000

:57:42. > :57:44.copies take six or seven hours. It is distributed through the

:57:45. > :57:58.information points, cafes. People walking around the side. People come

:57:59. > :58:04.looking for it. I hated poetry when I left school. I came out and

:58:05. > :58:10.discovered boots and started buying and selling bits. I published

:58:11. > :58:14.pamphlets and poems, from the 60s. People relate to playing cards. I

:58:15. > :58:20.get all packs and print my words and other peoples words on them. Take a

:58:21. > :58:28.card, any card, gamble your life away. Take a pass, any path, ramble

:58:29. > :58:35.your life away. Take a bike, any bicycle, cycle your life away. I

:58:36. > :58:38.like the immediacy of it. Poets have always been subversive. We have

:58:39. > :58:45.always been to the forefront of change. I think you can see poetry

:58:46. > :58:55.changing society. We have seen a whole host of performances that

:58:56. > :59:01.revolve around words. Marvellous. Wonderful. Really sweet. I just had

:59:02. > :59:07.a flashback to school. We had printing presses like that. We

:59:08. > :59:10.printed posters for our first gig. That is part of what makes

:59:11. > :59:16.Glastonbury so special, those things that bring you echo is of the past.

:59:17. > :59:20.Absolutely. It is all about the continuity and embracing change at

:59:21. > :59:25.the same time. Tradition is unimportant. It is like Christmas,

:59:26. > :59:32.it does not matter what happens, it is still Christmas. We are moving on

:59:33. > :00:00.to more music. We have the wonderful war paint, on the other stage.

:00:01. > :00:13.# I could not believe what I was seeing.

:00:14. > :00:18.# Seeing is believing. # How can we, when do we forget

:00:19. > :00:57.where we came from? # Touch the stars.

:00:58. > :01:10.# I could not believe what you had said.

:01:11. > :01:14.# With all your experience was your crowd in?

:01:15. > :01:17.# You read there when I first believed in.

:01:18. > :01:49.# I first laughed and thought I was dreaming.

:01:50. > :02:32.# I never made a sound. # Don't forget somebody else.

:02:33. > :02:36.# I woke up one day, baby # Let's get cool and

:02:37. > :02:39.# There's no need to where you're going

:02:40. > :02:41.# Take my hand, take my heart into this moment

:02:42. > :03:01.# To where you understand and where you believe in

:03:02. > :03:21.# In my dreams we are one awake. -- all awake.

:03:22. > :03:28.They were at John Peel last year and it is good to see them again at

:03:29. > :03:33.Glastonbury 2014. That is Warpaint on the other stage. And what

:03:34. > :03:38.glorious sunshine. At the start of the show we thought we might get

:03:39. > :03:42.lightning and go to a performance that this is absolutely beautiful.

:03:43. > :03:47.We brought our anoraks with us just in case. We had caught me on from

:03:48. > :03:58.Melbourne Australia, and someone else's here from Melbourne. --

:03:59. > :04:16.Courtenay Barnett. This is a live acoustic performance from Vance Joy.

:04:17. > :04:21.# I was scared of dentists and the dark.

:04:22. > :04:33.# I was scared of pretty girls and starting conversations.

:04:34. > :04:40.# All my friends are turning green. # They come unstuck.

:04:41. > :04:47.# Running onto the riptide. # Taken away to the dark side.

:04:48. > :04:49.# I want to be your left hand man. # I love you when you are singing

:04:50. > :04:56.that song. # I got a lump in my throat because

:04:57. > :05:00.you are singing the words wrong. # There is this movie that I think

:05:01. > :05:04.you will like. # This guy decides to quit his job

:05:05. > :05:09.and head to New York City. # This cowboy is running from

:05:10. > :05:18.himself. # She has been living on the highest

:05:19. > :05:26.shelf. # Oh, and they come unstuck.

:05:27. > :05:32.# Lady, running down to the riptide. # Taken away to the dark side.

:05:33. > :05:35.# I want to be your left-hand man. # I love you when you are singing

:05:36. > :05:41.that song. # And I got a lump in my throat.

:05:42. > :05:48.# Because you are going to sing the words wrong.

:05:49. > :05:59.# I just want to, just want to know. # If you are going to stay.

:06:00. > :06:03.# I just got to, I just got to know. # I can't have it, can't have it any

:06:04. > :06:08.other way. # I swear she is destined for the

:06:09. > :06:13.screen. # Closest thing to Michelle Pfeiffer

:06:14. > :06:27.that you have ever seen. # Lady, running down to the riptide.

:06:28. > :06:34.# Taken away to the dark side. # I want to be your left-hand man. I

:06:35. > :06:37.love you when you are singing that song.

:06:38. > :06:40.# I got a lump in my throat because you are going to sing the words

:06:41. > :06:45.wrong. # I got a lump in my throat because

:06:46. > :06:49.you are singing the words wrong. # I love you and I got a lump in my

:06:50. > :07:00.throat. # You have gone and so the words

:07:01. > :07:08.wrong. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you very much, Vance Joy. We have

:07:09. > :07:13.just checked the timings, and Courtney is on at five o'clock on

:07:14. > :07:20.John Peel. Don't slip over or anything because I am sure your

:07:21. > :07:24.limbs are insured to make music. He has been already and he was great.

:07:25. > :07:29.We have been talking about the personalities associated with this,

:07:30. > :07:33.like the station master and the free press, but the Michael Evers family

:07:34. > :07:37.remain at the heart. Yes, the man who started the whole thing. But

:07:38. > :07:46.what are his real passion is? What is he really all about?

:07:47. > :07:52.I first came here in 1984 when I brought Billy Bragg down here for

:07:53. > :07:56.his first Glastonbury appearance. Now and every year 180,000 people

:07:57. > :08:01.gathered here for a festival of fun and music. We all know about Michael

:08:02. > :08:06.Eavis the Glastonbury Festival organiser but how many of us know

:08:07. > :08:13.about the farmer? This is still a working dairy farm.

:08:14. > :08:25.Michael. How are you doing? All right. Have you been farming today?

:08:26. > :08:28.Some people would think that when you have an operation as big as the

:08:29. > :08:37.Glastonbury Festival every year and the money that generates, why bother

:08:38. > :08:40.farming? It is all about the cows! They come first? The whole thing is

:08:41. > :08:46.all about the cows, it really is, seriously. Michael Eavis's

:08:47. > :08:53.relationship with this patch of farmland stretches back to the 19th

:08:54. > :08:57.century. It has been in my family for 150 years. My great-grandfather

:08:58. > :09:02.came up from Dorset and settled in this valley. Wasn't he wise?

:09:03. > :09:08.Beautiful. When did you take it over? When I was 19, my father died

:09:09. > :09:12.of cancer unfortunately. I picked up his enthusiasm right from the start.

:09:13. > :09:17.I was really keen on saving the farm. It has been my home forever.

:09:18. > :09:23.There is no better life on this earth than being a dairy farm in the

:09:24. > :09:27.middle of Somerset. And the dairy herd is central? Cows are the most

:09:28. > :09:34.beautiful animals. I think we should go and meet them. Glastonbury may be

:09:35. > :09:38.an award-winning music festival but this year it is Michael's cows

:09:39. > :09:46.grabbing the praise. The herd has been nominated for an award? What is

:09:47. > :09:49.it? We have been short listed for the UK dairy farmer of the year. It

:09:50. > :10:00.is more important than actually winning the NME Award. Can I

:10:01. > :10:04.introduce you to Stephen? Of course. Are you in charge? What happens to

:10:05. > :10:17.the cows during the Festival? They stay inside. Their accommodation is

:10:18. > :10:22.5-star. It is called the mootel. When the music is on they are on the

:10:23. > :10:28.edges watching it but they enjoy it. I imagine they will like Dolly

:10:29. > :10:33.Parton. For the past 44 years, balancing festival and farm has

:10:34. > :10:36.become something of an obsession for Michael that this years he reckons

:10:37. > :10:43.he may have finally cracked one of its less glamorous issues. What have

:10:44. > :10:51.you brought me to see? This is the premier long drop. The best we have

:10:52. > :10:57.built in 44 years. Toilets! Yes. You can see the depth. They will take

:10:58. > :11:03.all of the excrement for at least a week. I don't normally get seen

:11:04. > :11:10.standing in a toilet like this. People might talk! What do you do

:11:11. > :11:16.with it all later? It goes into the arable land eventually, back into

:11:17. > :11:20.the soil structure. It is one of those connections between the

:11:21. > :11:24.Festival and your beloved farmland? Absolutely. It is all about

:11:25. > :11:27.fertility in the land. There have been times when the impact of the

:11:28. > :11:36.festival has pushed the farm to the brink. It is the most beautiful

:11:37. > :11:40.valley. Absolutely amazing. I can see why you have affection for it.

:11:41. > :11:45.There have been problems in the past largely arising from the weather. It

:11:46. > :11:55.can get nasty and when it is heavy rain, it costs half a million pounds

:11:56. > :11:57.more to clean it when it has been muddy. We have to get every single

:11:58. > :12:05.metal tent peg up. If they eat it, they die from it. Have you ever

:12:06. > :12:09.thought you would not do it again? On a Monday morning when it is a mud

:12:10. > :12:13.bath and the tents are wrecked, there is a fleeting moment when I

:12:14. > :12:16.wonder if it is worth it but millions of people love it so much.

:12:17. > :12:29.How can I stand in the way of that? He is a proper hero. I found out

:12:30. > :12:33.something really lovely, which I did not know about the Festival until

:12:34. > :12:37.today, which is that when the Pyramid Stage collapsed and caught

:12:38. > :12:41.fire in the 90s and they had to rebuild it quickly when you're just

:12:42. > :12:45.before the festival, Robert Plant, who is playing on it today,

:12:46. > :12:52.christened it with a bottle of milk from one of the Worthy Farm cows.

:12:53. > :12:58.How lovely. Like a ship. Speaking about christenings. You are making

:12:59. > :13:03.your first appearance at Glastonbury. How has it taken this

:13:04. > :13:12.long? Our debut. I don't know how long. We never played in the 80s.

:13:13. > :13:17.Were you not a band who liked Festival is back in your principal

:13:18. > :13:23.days? You had strong opinions about what you might do. We had opinions

:13:24. > :13:27.about everything! We still have, in lots of ways. I don't know, they

:13:28. > :13:43.weren't really around that much. Not like they are now. What do you make

:13:44. > :13:46.of it when you got on site? At first it was like Vietnam or something but

:13:47. > :13:51.now the sunshine is out I feel better. The sunshine is going to

:13:52. > :13:54.help but it will just be fun playing here because I have never been into

:13:55. > :14:06.anything as big as this before. I am excited. The rebirth of Dexys, your

:14:07. > :14:10.album has been very well received. I did read one review of it. It was

:14:11. > :14:16.not mine! Don't punch me in the face! Now you have got a film and

:14:17. > :14:22.there is an important screening and people can get a single. Yes, a

:14:23. > :14:25.brilliant film has been made by Paul Kelly and Kieron

:14:26. > :14:30.brilliant film has been made by Paul Kelly and Evans. They really pushed

:14:31. > :14:34.it. They saw some shows we did last year, filmed it, did some other

:14:35. > :14:42.stuff and they have done a really good job. We can show they clip of

:14:43. > :14:43.it. You can get a free single if you book to see the film before the

:14:44. > :15:32.seventh. This is Nowhere Is Home. am just incapable of love. # stop

:15:33. > :15:37.that. # stop that. # no, no. That is not so. It looks fantastic. The good

:15:38. > :15:42.great job. The captured the spirit of it and filmed it beautifully.

:15:43. > :15:48.Martin Kelly said he did not want this phase of Dexys to go

:15:49. > :15:53.undocumented. Enjoy your first time here. We will do our best. These are

:15:54. > :16:01.the most pristine Wellington boots I have seen all day. That is going to

:16:02. > :16:10.get waterlogged. You have made an error. Dexys, looking flash as

:16:11. > :16:17.always. Now somebody else that knows how to dress well.

:16:18. > :16:28.I am still at the hospitality area, trying to impress some VIPs. Rock

:16:34. > :16:41.cabaret area. I thought we could one not, impress some of these people in

:17:55. > :18:03.not stop. OK. The feeling is nice, the feeling is nice. Back to you

:18:04. > :18:08.guys in the studio. This is not making sense, but it kind of does.

:18:09. > :18:13.This is what happens at Glastonbury. Please help.

:18:14. > :18:19.We can all do that, but we do not want to show off. That looked like a

:18:20. > :18:24.hidden camera inside the BBC to presenters' communal dressing room.

:18:25. > :18:30.We always do that. You want to see Hugh Stevens and the flips that he

:18:31. > :18:35.pulls off. Frankly surprising for a man of his build. His caterpillar is

:18:36. > :18:39.awesome. Speaking of someone who will not be break dancing any time
