:29:09. > :29:31.# Oh, baby, please A brilliant songwriter, that was
:29:32. > :29:34.John Grant here at Glastonbury, a Festival that's traditionally been
:29:35. > :29:40.about this, but this year it's very much about this. It definitely is
:29:41. > :29:43.tonight. I spoke to Lars from Metallica yesterday, he says they've
:29:44. > :30:00.been waiting years to play this gig. Here is their story at Glastonbury.
:30:01. > :30:14.Four mere mortals rede-15ed rock and together they changed the world.
:30:15. > :30:17.One word - Metallica. Tonight these titans of rock are the
:30:18. > :30:22.first metal band to headline Glastonbury. Glastonbury is the
:30:23. > :30:26.greatest Festival on this planet and it's been on a bucket list of mine
:30:27. > :30:31.for years, so the fact that we are the first sort of harder rock band
:30:32. > :30:40.to come in and give it a go is very cool. We are very honoured. It was
:30:41. > :30:45.33 years ago that James Hetfield answered Lars add in a paper looking
:30:46. > :30:53.for someone to jam with. They played harder and faster and louder than
:30:54. > :31:00.any band before. Stripping away the cliches, they
:31:01. > :31:04.were unique. They were Metallica. Then from the depths of the
:31:05. > :31:09.underworld an album of great darkness arose, a jet-black master
:31:10. > :31:22.piece seeking with gloom, it catapulted Metallica to stardom.
:31:23. > :31:32.Metallica rotated on MTV and these four horsemen stole the souls of a
:31:33. > :31:36.new mass audience of metal fans. In the mid-90s they reinvented
:31:37. > :31:43.themselves with snappy new haircuts and darkness made visible.
:31:44. > :31:51.But at the dawn of a new millennium they met with turbulent times. The
:31:52. > :32:02.lead singer was admitted to rehab and Jason Newstead left the band.
:32:03. > :32:05.With new bass machine Robert, they saw a return to form. They've
:32:06. > :32:11.celebrated their 30th anniversary, made a record with the late Lou Reed
:32:12. > :32:16.and are now ready to rock the Pyramid Stage. It's clear 33 years
:32:17. > :32:21.into a ride that you can still get a chance to play so people who may not
:32:22. > :32:27.be familiar with what you are doing. It keeps us, I guess young. These
:32:28. > :32:34.uncompromising monsters of rock promise a riff-laden heart-pounding
:32:35. > :32:43.shattering set. Say your prayers, here come Metallica.
:32:44. > :32:48.And here they are. Be ready to be rocked by Metallica. The biggest

:08:25. > :08:29.There we have seen him out and about here. He has been out and about.
:08:30. > :08:33.This is not a band that need to play Gerhard Schroeder gas. They have

:08:41. > :08:44.They played every continent of the world, including Antarctica. The
:08:45. > :08:51.this has been eluding them for 30 years. You can see how much they
:08:52. > :08:56.enjoyed playing that show. They were relishing that moment. Took them a
:08:57. > :09:01.while to get off. Metallica loves Glastonbury. There are very few
:09:02. > :09:07.experiences that can't be made better if you add a giant beach
:09:08. > :09:12.ball. It doesn't hurt. The colourful one was not as Metallica as the
:09:13. > :09:18.black ones? Yeah. What did you do to get a ticket to be on the back of
:09:19. > :09:25.the stage. That was a cool move. Full metal dudes on stage, we have
:09:26. > :09:31.come for your festival, here is the metal hoard. Following it on Twitter
:09:32. > :09:34.the reaction to it. I mean, metal fans, Metallica fans loving that

:09:40. > :09:42.yesterday, Metallica are a band who bring out strong opinions in people.
:09:43. > :09:45.That is what you want in your Glastonbury headliners. There has to

:09:51. > :09:57.hadn't heard for a long time is twin lead guitars like the Thin Lissie
:09:58. > :10:03.styles. They did Whiskey in the Jar. Yeah. It went down a storm. Massive

:10:07. > :10:09.of our headline acts here. We will bring you all sorts of great music
:10:10. > :10:18.from around and about the festival site. You can see behind us, over

:10:22. > :10:29.up extra loud. We will bring you some of their set. We have the Manic
:10:30. > :10:33.Street Preachers, who were our guests earlier on today. Robert

:10:43. > :10:45.his new band, I keep calling them Shape Shifters they have Space
:10:46. > :10:49.Shifters. When they started it was like a bomb going off.
:10:50. > :11:01.Extraordinary. We will cross to the John Peel Tent. MGMT were heading
:11:02. > :11:02.over there just a few moments ago. -- headlining over there just a few

:11:51. > :11:54.to live fast and die young # Yeah it's overwhelming
:11:55. > :12:12.but what else can we do? # Get jobs in offices and wake up
:12:13. > :12:28.for the morning commute? # Forget about our mothers
:12:29. > :12:35.and our friends # I'll miss the playgrounds
:12:36. > :13:06.and the animals and digging up worms # I'll miss the comfort of my mother
:13:07. > :13:15.and the weight of the world # I'll miss my sister, miss my
:13:16. > :13:24.father, miss my dog and my home # Yeah I'll miss the boredom and
:13:25. > :13:34.the freedom and the time spent alone # But there is really nothing

:16:10. > :16:34.with your electric feel # You turn me on
:16:35. > :20:24.with your electric feel amazing. I had a great time. I was
:20:25. > :20:29.introducing Bryan Ferry on the west holt stage. I had a tuxedo on. Here
:20:30. > :20:33.is a nasty low trick from the television people. Tuxedo and a
:20:34. > :20:38.white shirt and bow tie on. I thought when Bryan came on he might
:20:39. > :20:42.want to see someone made an effort. He has never been before. I can't
:20:43. > :20:54.believe it was his debut Glastonbury. You should have seen
:20:55. > :20:59.his jacket. They panned out and I had my wellies on. They don't do
:21:00. > :21:04.that on the news. Exactly. We saw the site the lit up and watched
:21:05. > :21:11.Metallica. It was a wonderful trip. The perimeter is nine miles. The
:21:12. > :21:15.it's massive. Incredible. We are here with 175,000 reasonably
:21:16. > :21:19.like-minded individuals. It is a vast sea of people and canvas out
:21:20. > :21:23.there. We do our best to bring you as much as we can. Also, some very
:21:24. > :21:27.special moments. We have one for you now. Talking about the fact it was

:21:34. > :21:39.making his debut at Glastonbury Festival this year. He's called
:21:40. > :21:43.Bernhoft. Who is doing five shows. He did a couple. A few more to come.

:37:10. > :37:18.the Pixies at the Other Stage. New crowd. New bass player. Happy
:37:19. > :37:24.birthday. It has just gone 12! Thanks. First person to wish me
:37:25. > :37:28.happy birthday. Thank you very much. The Pixies people are again which
:37:29. > :37:33.winly pleased to have them back. Making new music for the first time
:37:34. > :37:39.in years and years. They have been on brilliant form recently.
:37:40. > :37:44.Demonstration there, flares. A new Arcade Fire thing. Were nervous
:37:45. > :37:49.about the flares. When I interviewed them they said - what is the thing
:37:50. > :37:52.about flares. They said, is it health and safety. I'm not sure if
:37:53. > :37:57.health and safety said it was OK. There seems to be more flares and
:37:58. > :38:06.less flags. Tipping point. That is where we are. You said it. There is
:38:07. > :38:11.nothing worse than a limp flag held aloft. People thought it would rain.
:38:12. > :38:14.Metallica have not long finished on the Pyramid Stage. They seemed to
:38:15. > :38:21.enjoy it. Seemed to genuinely move them. Let us find out how it was for
:38:22. > :38:25.them. We have hooked up with Lars. These are the interviews I love
:38:26. > :38:34.doing. The post-show, post-mortem, I guess. Lars from Metallica. This is
:38:35. > :38:38.the post-mortem. Dig them up, carry them up the stairs. Couldn't we have
:38:39. > :38:43.met half way down. We could have carried you up. How was it for you?
:38:44. > :38:47.That was um... That was... That was sensational. I don't remember much
:38:48. > :38:52.of it. I remember walking up on stage. I walked up your stairs. The
:38:53. > :38:58.rest of it was a bit of a blur. It was great. The energy was fantastic.
:38:59. > :39:04.All I saw when I looked that the way was flags. When I looked that way
:39:05. > :39:09.was flags. Just... There was lots of... Real positive vibes and good
:39:10. > :39:16.positive energy. Everybody had like big smiles on their faces. We sort
:39:17. > :39:22.of held it together and played. Actually, fairly decently. All round
:39:23. > :39:28.it was good. Thank you for asking A huge us. Congratulations. I feel
:39:29. > :39:34.eleaved and emotionally drained. There has been such a build-up - Try
:39:35. > :39:38.being me. There was a lot of controversy, how do you feel. We
:39:39. > :39:43.were like, we are a rock-and-roll band playing your festival. Said it
:39:44. > :39:48.was humbling to do. It you were here yesterday morning. Yeah. We saw you
:39:49. > :39:51.everywhere? I have been here for 30 hours. The why did you do that? I
:39:52. > :39:55.figured if you were going to do this. Everybody talks about how this
:39:56. > :40:00.is... I mean this is something that penetrates at a whole other level
:40:01. > :40:04.than at any other festivals anywhere. This is part of your guys
:40:05. > :40:10.culture and history and everybody who is watching. I figure, you never
:40:11. > :40:16.know if you will get invited back. I figured, we have one shot. I want to
:40:17. > :40:24.come in. I'm going to soak up every second that I can of this thing. We
:40:25. > :40:32.came in. Yeah, about 30-hours ago. Last night we saw Arcade Fire. We
:40:33. > :40:39.saw bands. We walked every where. A crew of five or six. Nick, Emily's
:40:40. > :40:47.husband. He was our host. And took us everywhere. We saw every little
:40:48. > :40:53.area. And every little village and tent. It was an amazing experience.
:40:54. > :40:58.By the time we were done at that at 4.00am we knew what the vibe was.
:40:59. > :41:01.Slept for a couple of hours. Came right back down and felt like that
:41:02. > :41:06.we were ready to thabg this on again. And did. You proved to all
:41:07. > :41:11.the critics wrong. You smashed it. History has been made. The first
:41:12. > :41:14.metal band to headline Glastonbury. You mentioned on stage that maybe
:41:15. > :41:19.you will come back to Glastonbury in the future? We would love to. I'm
:41:20. > :41:23.coming back tomorrow. Oh, right! I'm here the whole weekend.
:41:24. > :41:29.coming back tomorrow. Oh, right! I'm forward to Dolly tomorrow, to the
:41:30. > :41:33.Black Keys, The Horrors. Can sakian. I will be the one sweeping up. I
:41:34. > :41:38.will be the one walking around with the garbage bag on Tuesday clearing
:41:39. > :41:43.up. You are a Glastonbury addict. Completely. I'm glad we sold it to
:41:44. > :41:47.you? I met it Michael yesterday. The whole thing has been amazing. Emily.
:41:48. > :41:56.The whole family. The Met met experience, how would you sum it up
:41:57. > :42:00.in a sentence? Other worldly. That is a big word for this time of
:42:01. > :42:04.night. It will take a little while to settle in. Obviously, when you
:42:05. > :42:08.find yourself talking about this whole thing - I have done nine
:42:09. > :42:12.Glastonbury interviews every day the last month. I have run out of things
:42:13. > :42:17.to say about it. You know what I mean. Now we are finally here we
:42:18. > :42:20.played it so much fun. Congratulations. Thank you for
:42:21. > :42:25.coming to see us straight off stage. Really good. Enjoy tomorrow? We will
:42:26. > :42:31.go out and play one more. Forgive me. One more encore waiting. The
:42:32. > :42:35.rabbit hole is in that direction. Have that experience? We ended up
:42:36. > :42:39.there last night. I'm sure that is where we will end up tonight. There
:42:40. > :42:45.is something about a secret under ground You go chamber. There. See if
:42:46. > :42:50.that can be the last bastion tonight. Thank you. Back to you now.
:42:51. > :42:54.He is, I interviewed Lars yesterday. He has done so many Glastonbury
:42:55. > :42:57.interviews every day. He is absolutely right. He completely gets
:42:58. > :43:02.what this festival is all about. He is such a smart guy. As you can see,
:43:03. > :43:07.brilliant company. Immersed himself in it. That was heart warming. That
:43:08. > :43:13.was sincere, wasn't it? That wasn't a charm offensive. He had an
:43:14. > :43:19.experience. He said other worldly. The good word. Hi struck me as a
:43:20. > :43:23.total music nerd. He was talking about the first time that they came
:43:24. > :43:27.over and wanted to play Glastonbury in 1981. They did their first London
:43:28. > :43:35.shows. He knew the address of the club where they first played London.
:43:36. > :43:39.He grew up on People Purple. He said all roads metal wise lead to the UK.
:43:40. > :43:47.This was the one thing left for them to do. He looked like Bill Bailey in
:43:48. > :43:58.close-up. Was he wearing a dressing gown or a monk's... I don't know.
:43:59. > :44:00.More lights than I have ever seen on the Park Stage than ever before
:44:01. > :48:04.tonight for Mogwai. Mogwai, for my money one of the best
:48:05. > :48:08.bands to see live in the world. The only time I've ever missed the
:48:09. > :48:17.chance to see them, when I've had it, when I nodded off on top of
:48:18. > :48:23.their bass amp in Spain. How is that possible? It was noisy. I was tired.
:48:24. > :48:36.It was a late one. It wasn't my job to be sow we are -- sober and report
:48:37. > :48:41.on them. A A double dose, any time. One of the features of night, or
:48:42. > :48:46.day, there is a massive spider in the area called Arcadia. You can't
:48:47. > :48:54.miss it. You can see the flames gusting out of the top. There is a
:48:55. > :49:00.DJ in there. Everything. Quite a feature. A little showy for my
:49:01. > :49:04.taste, to be honest. It's the most frustrating spider to shoot. Every
:49:05. > :49:10.year we go, there is a massive spider with flames coming out. We
:49:11. > :49:14.cut away to a shot of it. . It stops. The guy inside knows we are
:49:15. > :49:20.on. I know he is trying to mess with us. He was breathing this year. We
:49:21. > :49:22.saw it in its full spouting glory. I know what you are thinking - how is
:49:23. > :49:39.it put together. Let's find out. Arcadia is an idea of taking things
:49:40. > :49:46.no-one else wants any more and making them into a massive giant
:49:47. > :49:51.playground. The components of Arcadia are sculpture, recycling,
:49:52. > :49:54.music, special effects, circus performance. Our job is to marry up
:49:55. > :49:59.all those elements and bring them together and make interesting things
:50:00. > :50:04.happen. Glastonbury is the first show of the year for us usually. The
:50:05. > :50:09.spider has been in hibernation for the winter. Getting it out and
:50:10. > :50:14.dusting it off. Giving it its summer coat or doing any repairs that are
:50:15. > :50:18.necessary. We tend to use a lot of aviation equipment. We like jet
:50:19. > :50:23.engines, they are nice and look like they have come from outer space.
:50:24. > :50:33.This is the floor of the DJ Boot in the centre of the spider. This the
:50:34. > :50:37.one of the spider's eye sockets. We have an idea and find the bits, the
:50:38. > :50:41.bits inspire the idea. The two bits get knocked around. Within two
:50:42. > :50:46.minutes of walking into a scrapyard we change direction of what we are
:50:47. > :50:50.going to build and we find another piece that take it is in another
:50:51. > :50:54.direction. These are the top muscles of the spider. This big leg you see
:50:55. > :51:05.here is one of the three legs of the spider. It weighs about 10 tonnes.
:51:06. > :51:13.It's 's a monster and part of a customs and excise scanning machine.
:51:14. > :51:20.The convoy rolls in. The first thing that comes in, the very first thing,
:51:21. > :51:24.is 100 tonne crane which we put in to position. We have already dug
:51:25. > :51:29.trenches and three pads for the spider feet. We reverse the trailers
:51:30. > :51:33.in one at a time, take the legs off. They get laid down with a central
:51:34. > :51:43.hub, using chains, the whole structure is lifted up. When all the
:51:44. > :51:48.dressing goes on and the eyes go on. The characteristics of the spider
:51:49. > :51:57.really to come on then. There is definitely danger involved with it
:51:58. > :52:05.working in the way that we do. It's what make is it exciting. We do
:52:06. > :52:09.dangerous things safely -- makes. They pioneered the neck tolling to
:52:10. > :52:14.get the size of the flames we do on top of the spider. They want big
:52:15. > :52:19.flames and many flames in short time. They are the biggest flames,
:52:20. > :52:23.25 meters. If you had a long enough stick in the crowd, you could
:52:24. > :52:29.probably toast yourself a crumpet and stick a bit of butter on it. Wen
:52:30. > :52:38.we let it off for the first time people stand back and are like,
:52:39. > :52:44."ahhh!" It goes from something that you just build. It's just a big load
:52:45. > :52:54.of scrap. It then comes alive. It's amazing. It when it switches on,
:52:55. > :53:00.it's magic. It's a privilege to be part of it.
:53:01. > :53:07.It really is fantastic that spider, isn't it? Amazing. Plenty of flames
:53:08. > :53:17.tonight. The guy who created the flames he was really cool. Henry
:53:18. > :53:28.Hot. And Pit brush. How brilliant. Listening to the soundtrack of that
:53:29. > :53:34.film it makes me want Kasabian to ride it. There aren't things as big
:53:35. > :53:38.as that. Things people have built. They don't need to do any of that.
:53:39. > :53:44.They have great bands. It is the set dressing of the whole site that
:53:45. > :53:48.stays with you. Absolutely. That is another Glastonbury icon, the
:53:49. > :53:52.spider, we had it a few years. It has become part of the farm here.
:53:53. > :54:01.The next band is a duo. They have stripped it right back. They were on
:54:02. > :54:08.with The Temples. How are they making that noise with two of them.
:54:09. > :54:29.Drums and bass. They were on the peel stage earlier on. Royal Blood.
:54:30. > :54:32.# Hey little monster, I got my eye on you
:54:33. > :54:43.# Where are you going, where you running to?
:54:44. > :54:52.# Hey little monster, you know it's all OK
:54:53. > :55:04.# I'm gonna love ya, no matter what you say
:55:05. > :55:18.# I'm your wolf I'm your man
:55:19. > :55:31.# Hey little creature, tell me what's on your mind,
:55:32. > :55:44.# Where've you been hiding? And can I come this time?
:55:45. > :55:53.# So pleased to please ya, and rip that heart off your sleeve,
:55:54. > :56:12.# I'm your wolf I'm your man
:56:13. > :57:13.# I'm your wolf I'm your man
:57:14. > :58:09.Those guys, it has a little bit of edge to it. There is aggression back
:58:10. > :58:13.in the music. It's nice - obviously the diversity is brilliant. That is
:58:14. > :58:17.what makes it Glastonbury. I'm liking there is something rawer in
:58:18. > :58:23.there. It's the heaviest bill for years, isn't it really? Yeah. I love
:58:24. > :58:28.those guys. How is he doing that? I don't know. It's weird. It is what
:58:29. > :58:32.they had. It's two of them. Maybe they had no friends. It happens to
:58:33. > :58:37.have worked out brilliantly. I just love the sound they make those two
:58:38. > :58:42.guys. Fantastic. Royal Blood on the John Peel Stage with Little Monster.
:58:43. > :59:40.We will have a chunk of Robert Plant in the not too distant future.
:59:41. > :59:59.# I stand on the edge of sadness # That I can't face

:02:44. > :02:51.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE I didn't have my glasses on for that. They had
:02:52. > :02:56.some three barrel electric fires hanging up above them. Did they
:02:57. > :03:02.really? I can't see a thing without them on. I have to put them back on.
:03:03. > :03:15.I lost mine. Lost my bins! Have mine and see if they work for you. That
:03:16. > :03:19.was Anna Calvi. The weather was really rubbish. I thought I want to
:03:20. > :03:24.see Robert Plant, it's raining. I thought, come on. You are at a
:03:25. > :03:30.festival. Get out there. I did. I braved the elements. Man up. I
:03:31. > :03:36.suppose a lot of people want to see Led Zeppelin headlining Glastonbury.
:03:37. > :03:42.It could happen one days. Plant keeps trying new things, lineups and

:14:00. > :14:05.Massive amounts of Led Zeppelin. No really great stuff, I think. An
:14:06. > :14:14.icon. That is over used. You see his face on the big screen. He looks
:14:15. > :14:18.Mount Rushmore-esq. He does. He opened that stage. After it burnt
:14:19. > :14:29.down they had to build it quickly again. A few weeks before the
:14:30. > :14:34.festival one year. He Chrissened -- Chrissened it with a pint of milk.
:14:35. > :14:40.We have a live acoustic. This is a band called The Rails. They are a
:14:41. > :14:46.couple in every sense. Master guitarist who played with The
:14:47. > :14:52.Pretenders. Their album Fair Warning is an absolute joy. Someone decided
:14:53. > :14:58.to deliver several metal mop buckets. Hopefully, no-one is hurt.
:14:59. > :15:02.We will get back to you on that. We give you from the Fair Warning

:17:47. > :17:49.on the live stream. On the website. The Rails album is called Fair
:17:50. > :17:54.Warning. It's a joy. We recommend that. Definitely. Two thumbs for
:17:55. > :18:02.that one. Thank you. Thank you very much. Ever so cold up here. I will
:18:03. > :18:08.let you into a secret. Shall we show them, Mark? I knew this was coming.
:18:09. > :18:14.Rock-and-roll. We know how to live! I tell you what. This next little

:19:04. > :19:06.talking about the environmental messages and banning poll Stoy even
:19:07. > :19:11.then, which was progressive for Glastonbury to do that. They talk
:19:12. > :19:16.will recycling. It has always happened at the festivalle we could
:19:17. > :19:19.just have black bin, plastic cans, bottles going in the same thing and
:19:20. > :19:22.send it to land fill. The sustainability is in the heart of
:19:23. > :19:28.Glastonbury. It's in my heart. It's in the heart of everyone who works
:19:29. > :19:30.with the festival. They want to reduce the impact on the environment
:19:31. > :19:52.# What a wonderful world... # They do a fantastic job cleaning up.
:19:53. > :19:56.It's so quick. I came down to the festival site about six weeks after
:19:57. > :20:00.it was over, you would never know. The stone circles is here and the
:20:01. > :20:04.Skeleton of the Pyramid is here. That is it. People who come here for
:20:05. > :20:10.the first time can't believe it. The I walked around with a friend who
:20:11. > :20:13.said - this stays here. Showing off, what are you like? People can't
:20:14. > :20:16.believe it's stripped away in a couple of days. When the people
:20:17. > :20:21.aren't here the site looks quite small. That is what is weird about
:20:22. > :20:25.it. I don't want to be - this is a metaphor for Glastonbury. It's a
:20:26. > :20:30.metaphor for Glastonbury. The people coming and the bands and the kind of
:20:31. > :20:35.spectacle of the whole thing. The cabaret that makes it look enormous,
:20:36. > :20:39.is everybody being here. I know. Amazing place much amazing place.
:20:40. > :20:44.Someone we had on the show earlier on. They took a while to warm to the

:20:50. > :20:55.That is fair to say, yes. They are on top form. Their new album is

:28:05. > :28:09.this time of evening that we bring you cabaret entertainment. It
:28:10. > :28:14.certainly is. We swept the site and brought you The Lizard Man. He will

:29:44. > :30:19.Oh... Oh... Ah... . The cranial corkscrew.
:30:20. > :30:23.APPLAUSE Well, that's all very well. We do have a
:30:24. > :30:27.bottle of wine that wants opening, actually. That is how most of the
:30:28. > :30:35.beer gets delivered across the site here at the Glastonbury festival. I
:30:36. > :30:44.love it Lizard Man. At the end he span round saying, "I feel a bit
:30:45. > :30:51.dizzy." I with would say that was the least of the problems. I have

:38:51. > :38:57.Excellent dancing there. Amazing dancing. The best dancing of the
:38:58. > :39:04.festival. Great to see Sharon paying tribute to Bobby Womack. Jen Long is
:39:05. > :39:11.experiencing something I've been told is called The Hand of Man. I'm
:39:12. > :39:19.here in Arcadia. I'm not wearing a seatbelt. Right now there is a
:39:20. > :39:23.tornado of fire behind me. I'm in The Hand of Man. Is that correct?
:39:24. > :39:28.That is correct. Welcome to The Hand. Can you explain to me what is
:39:29. > :39:32.going on? Sure. You have your hand inside of a glove controller. You
:39:33. > :39:36.are controlling this giantic high drolic hand that is capable of
:39:37. > :39:44.picking up and crushing cars. Amazing. How do I operate this? So,
:39:45. > :39:49.you are live now with the hand. OK. I'm doing something, I didn't mean
:39:50. > :39:54.to! Anything you do with your hand, the hand is going to do it. You are
:39:55. > :40:02.controlling that thing. I'm controlling it. Oh, my, God I'm
:40:03. > :40:08.controlling it now. It's like Robot Wars gone wrong. Or right. How did
:40:09. > :40:13.you come up with this idea? I have a long history of building robots,
:40:14. > :40:20.high drolic machines that I've always used to... Am I doing this
:40:21. > :40:26.right. I feel like I missed it? Close your thumb. Pull the thumb
:40:27. > :40:36.inside the wind shield. I will try and lift the car. I'm breaking it a

:40:45. > :40:48.powerful woman in the world! I am James Hetfield. You have it there.
:40:49. > :40:54.That is the point of thing. I used to destroy stuff with robots in a
:40:55. > :40:59.theatrical setting. I realised it's lot of fun to destroy stuff with
:41:00. > :41:03.high drolic machinery. It's fun. I decided I wanted to come up with
:41:04. > :41:08.something that would share that experience with everybody. I'm
:41:09. > :41:13.crushing it again. Why are we in Arcadia. Why is this the choice for
:41:14. > :41:17.your wild machinery? Well, I haven't seen any other area of Glastonbury
:41:18. > :41:23.where it would be quite as at home. I broke it! I'm destroying this car.

:41:41. > :41:47.was my car. Now I have to live here. It's a missed opportunity to say I'm
:41:48. > :41:53.James Hetfield and didn't throw the evil hand. Show that to Lars
:41:54. > :41:56.tomorrow. Two to drum with. That would be really great, wouldn't it?
