:15:35. > :15:38.about mud at Glastonbury this year but that's not really the point.

:15:39. > :15:43.This year Glastonbury is all about grime. The scene has been one of the

:15:44. > :15:47.UK's most vibrant for a decade, but in 2016 grime really is having its

:15:48. > :15:53.big moment. It is slap-bang in the middle of the mainstream. It is the

:15:54. > :15:58.music that everyone is talking about. On the Main Stage there's

:15:59. > :16:03.been such a focus here at Glastonbury. The whole of Friday's

:16:04. > :16:12.bill was given over to grime artists, so we went to check it out.

:16:13. > :16:23.I'm live in the flesh here at Glastonbury. Where you know me from,

:16:24. > :16:28.where you know me from? One of the reasons that grime has had this sick

:16:29. > :16:34.rise in the last year or two is there's a thirst and hunger for

:16:35. > :16:43.authenticity in music. Real experiences and energy that hasn't

:16:44. > :16:48.shined for some years. Everyone is looking for it, saying we don't

:16:49. > :16:55.really like what's going on, like. Where's the real one one? Grime is

:16:56. > :17:00.like that, like funk or hip-hop. For a long time grime and UK hip-hop

:17:01. > :17:04.lots its identity. I feel that over the last 18 months ownership has

:17:05. > :17:12.been the main thing for a lot of artists involved in the currency. Go

:17:13. > :17:16.over your head, up load it a bit, and you fellow... Grime is very

:17:17. > :17:24.important to me because it's the UK. It's ours. It's the scene and it is

:17:25. > :17:29.building and getting more powerful. I'm from Birmingham and I did feel a

:17:30. > :17:34.little bit uncomfortable rapping in my accent when I first started. But

:17:35. > :17:44.now I'm so proud that I can be myself on the track. Ten years ago

:17:45. > :17:49.you would never think cue get your foot in the door because you are not

:17:50. > :18:01.from London. But now the whole game's changed. Bugsy Malone is on

:18:02. > :18:05.stage right now. He's got a model where artists outside the M 25

:18:06. > :18:09.finally believe that this is the way of life. It is growing at the

:18:10. > :18:13.moment, fast. I come from quite a difficult background. It is just

:18:14. > :18:16.having a voice. Somebody like me could have easily been sat going

:18:17. > :18:20.through what I was going through with nobody to get it off my chest.

:18:21. > :18:29.This gives young people who might not have so much of a chance, an

:18:30. > :18:35.opportunity to talk. Where I grew up, if you didn't have a lyric you

:18:36. > :18:42.was a moron. Everyone had a bar when I was growing up. A really good

:18:43. > :18:44.lyric with resonates with someone has sonates with someone has to come

:18:45. > :18:47.from somewhere - maybe a past experience or something you want to

:18:48. > :18:53.do. It has to come from who you are, you know what I'm saying? I don't

:18:54. > :18:57.know why we like the postcode... It is called grime. It is truthful. It

:18:58. > :19:01.is raw to the core. It is not watered down for the radio or for T

:19:02. > :19:06.A lot of people like how fresh it sounds and how warm and British it

:19:07. > :19:12.really is. The game's changed a little bit. I always tell young

:19:13. > :19:17.artists, there are no boundaries. Look at myself. Look at all these

:19:18. > :19:24.other sick artists and go that you can be greater. You are a like a

:33:49. > :33:52.very first time? The very first time. I don't remember. I was very,

:33:53. > :33:55.very young. It was muddy, I remember it being one of the worst years. I

:33:56. > :34:00.remember seeing garbage and being like, I want to do that. I remember

:34:01. > :34:04.doing that for sure. Being in the circus, there's a lot of photographs

:34:05. > :34:08.of me during my set, from when I was younger. That's kind of made me want

:34:09. > :34:12.to do it. I grew up at festivals. Glastonbury is a massive part of my

:34:13. > :34:16.life. The first time that you played Glastonbury, the only time you

:34:17. > :34:20.played? I played once, the Guardian tent, to no-one. And then downpour.

:34:21. > :34:25.So everyone rushed in and spoke over me. I think it was 2007. It was in

:34:26. > :34:28.the T tent. I went on just before Florence. Oh, did you, what. It was

:34:29. > :34:34.amazing. Did you do the whole experience? Oh, yeah. You camped?

:34:35. > :34:39.Oh, yeah, lost my mates. My manager was just like moaning about the

:34:40. > :34:44.winnebagos. I used to be in a tent with nowhere to stay, blag a space

:34:45. > :34:52.in the arch way of a tent. Always. I was drunk. So you came last year as

:34:53. > :34:56.well I came last year to semi-scope it out and semi-see Kanye on the

:34:57. > :35:00.Saturday night. I watch today on Emily. I was so frightened just

:35:01. > :35:05.watching his set and at the same time, I said yeah, all right I'll do

:35:06. > :35:10.it. Why did you do it? I think Glastonbury will end up being a big

:35:11. > :35:14.part of my kids' life as well. I want to say, I did that. I want it

:35:15. > :35:21.to be part of his childhood as well. So I want him to see me do it. Your

:35:22. > :35:24.proper debut is head lining on the Pyramid Stage the Saturday night,

:35:25. > :35:30.I'm not saying that to make you sick. I'm as nervous as I was in the

:35:31. > :35:33.Guardian tent. My nerves, I keep bursting into tears and feeling

:35:34. > :35:39.sick. Earlier, I felt like driving home. I could have got home before

:35:40. > :35:43.my set. Now I'm stuck. How did the arena tour, those shows, did they

:35:44. > :35:46.prepare you for doing this? I love arenas. There's so many people to

:35:47. > :35:50.talk to. I don't know if I can pull it off tonight. I want it talk. I

:35:51. > :35:55.don't want to ignore the crowd. Whether there's ten of you or 10,000

:35:56. > :35:59.or a few more than that, as long as they're happy to see my set, I want
