:00:00. > :00:22.Hello and welcome back the Glastonbury 2017, live on BBC Two. I

:00:23. > :00:27.have dreaded Nick Grimshaw in for a younger, better looking model. Who

:00:28. > :00:32.can blame you? You're only human. You have been on air for most of

:00:33. > :00:36.your adult life. Pretty much, and it feels good. So we have loads of

:00:37. > :00:43.great stuff to bring you. The excitement gathers towards the

:00:44. > :00:47.headline act here. Foo Fighters. Del Amitri yeah. So we are going to find

:00:48. > :00:51.out what is happening and get the atmosphere first-hand from our

:00:52. > :00:56.lovely woman on the ground, Jo Whiley, who has been sent into the

:00:57. > :01:02.mosh pit, which will not be a mosh pit because there was heavy

:01:03. > :01:08.security. It will be controlled mosh pit. Let's hand over to our chum Jo,

:01:09. > :01:12.who is scenting the atmosphere. Massive anticipation for the arrival

:01:13. > :01:17.of the Foo Fighters. Absolutely. If I could, I would be in that mosh

:01:18. > :01:21.pit. But you can sense the anticipation. The state is being

:01:22. > :01:24.set, the music is being ramped up and the flags are flying. Palpable

:01:25. > :01:31.excitement from Foo Fighters fans. The band will be on stage and I will

:01:32. > :01:39.bring them to you at 9.40 fight. Back to you. Thanks, Jo! We ran over

:01:40. > :01:46.there to hear what Jo was saying. She looked very colourful. Good to

:01:47. > :01:50.be noticed in that crowd. So we ran over there and they said to get back

:01:51. > :01:55.here. You have had about 30 seconds off since four o'clock this

:01:56. > :01:59.afternoon. But I can't complain, because Glastonbury has been

:02:00. > :02:03.spectacular. And we still haven't needed wellies. It is great, because

:02:04. > :02:08.you can walk around the outer areas. I have been up to the Healing Field

:02:09. > :02:12.and the stone circle, the places you can't be bothered going because it

:02:13. > :02:17.is usually too much effort. A couple got married here at the Park Stage,

:02:18. > :02:23.so congratulations. We wish you a long and happy life. Let's celebrate

:02:24. > :02:47.with music from Mali by Songhoy Blues on the Park Stage, just here.

:02:48. > :06:35.From earlier today just behind us on the Park Stage, Songhoy Blues. Now,

:06:36. > :06:42.let's talk about Liam Gallagher because there is a lot to say. There

:06:43. > :06:46.is. It sounds like he is launching his solo career. Journalists always

:06:47. > :06:52.say, we have to watch Liam Gallagher in case that is the one time when

:06:53. > :06:57.Noel comes on. This isn't it, but he is doing great things. He has

:06:58. > :06:59.famously done stuff with Adele and has come back with a big sound. Some

:07:00. > :07:36.new stuff now and maybe a classic. # When you're chained to the mirror

:07:37. > :07:40.and the razor blade # Today's the day

:07:41. > :07:42.that all the world will see # Walking to the sound of

:07:43. > :07:50.my favorite tune # Tomorrow never knows

:07:51. > :07:57.what it doesn't know too soon # Need a little time

:07:58. > :08:09.to wake up, wake up # Need a little time

:08:10. > :08:13.to rest your mind # You know you should

:08:14. > :08:19.so I guess you might as well # You need a little time

:08:20. > :08:27.to wake up, wake up # Need a little time

:08:28. > :09:08.to wake up, wake up # When you're chained to the mirror

:09:09. > :09:15.and the razor blade # Today's the day that all the world

:09:16. > :09:21.will see # Walking to the sound of

:09:22. > :09:28.my favorite tune # Tomorrow never knows

:09:29. > :09:35.what it doesn't know too soon # Need a little time

:09:36. > :09:42.to wake up, wake up # Need a little time

:09:43. > :09:48.to rest your mind # You know you should

:09:49. > :09:55.so I guess you might as well # You need a little time

:09:56. > :10:05.to wake up, wake up # Need a little time

:10:06. > :11:03.to wake up, wake up Thank you. Now we've got your

:11:04. > :11:26.attention, we are going to get stuck into some new songs.

:11:27. > :11:32.# You've been keeping paraphernalia, oh

:11:33. > :11:42.# Anyone can see right through your eyes

:11:43. > :12:04.# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:12:05. > :12:34.# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:12:35. > :13:13.# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:13:14. > :13:55.# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:13:56. > :14:15.# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:14:16. > :14:41.# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:14:42. > :14:52.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Wall of Glass, new from Liam

:14:53. > :14:56.Gallacher. A massive crowd wherever he goes. He still has a brooding

:14:57. > :15:01.charisma. The man has still got it. My brother and I went to see him a

:15:02. > :15:05.couple of weeks ago. It was just a worship fest. To see it times ten on

:15:06. > :15:10.that stage, impressive. We're here for it, Liam. He played in

:15:11. > :15:15.Manchester recently, it was like the return of a hero, such an exciting

:15:16. > :15:20.night. Glad to have you back. We're going to catch up with Jo who had a

:15:21. > :15:24.chat with him fresh off the stage. Welcome to our garden and to Liam,

:15:25. > :15:29.who joins me now. How are you? Good, very good. You've come off the

:15:30. > :15:33.stage. Bit spaced out. It's not a bad thing maybe. Why spaced out?

:15:34. > :15:37.Just because you've been like held up in that room all day, so trying

:15:38. > :15:41.to get into the zone and then you go out, loads of people there and

:15:42. > :15:48.singing songs. It's pretty emotional thing. An extraordinary experience.

:15:49. > :15:51.Yeah. It is extraordinary. I'll be right, I'll be back to my usual mad

:15:52. > :16:00.self in half an hour. At the moment you're just a bit processing it.

:16:01. > :16:07.Just locking spaced out and that jazz sheet isn helping. The stories

:16:08. > :16:13.I've heard of people trying to come to see you, so many people trying to

:16:14. > :16:17.see you. Dave from Foo Fighters couldn't get there. I like Dave man,

:16:18. > :16:20.better luck next time. The fact that you were doing the gig and so many

:16:21. > :16:24.people there, what was it like looking out to the audience?

:16:25. > :16:28.Amazing, always nice to do. I'm made for big gigs, I'm made for small

:16:29. > :16:32.ones as well, but the bigger the better. They don't scare me. Does

:16:33. > :16:37.anything scare you? No. Losing my voice scares me. You know, you spend

:16:38. > :16:40.your whole day sitting around thinking, is it going to be there

:16:41. > :16:45.when you walk out. You think it's there. But it was there tonight, I

:16:46. > :16:49.think. You know what I mean? That's the only thing I'm nervous about.

:16:50. > :16:56.How did you prepare for this show? Lots of honey and apple cider

:16:57. > :17:00.vinegar, just stuff like that. I'm behaving myself these days. You know

:17:01. > :17:05.what I mean, as you get older, you just want to like, just - it's the

:17:06. > :17:09.best thing ever being able to sing to loads of people. Got to behave a

:17:10. > :17:13.bit now. It's time to take it seriously? Not too seriously. But

:17:14. > :17:18.you've got to prepare like footballers do. But soon as the

:17:19. > :17:23.gig's over, it's back to like being a scally wag. I imagine it was

:17:24. > :17:27.exciting on stage and looking out and hearing people singing along.

:17:28. > :17:34.What was the last song you did? Don't Look Back in Anger. I've never

:17:35. > :17:37.done that before. Yeah, because like everyone's like that's their song

:17:38. > :17:41.for the moment, with the shit that's going down in the world. I thought

:17:42. > :17:45.if our kid's not going to do it for them, I'll do it for them. I did all

:17:46. > :17:50.right. What are you doing after this, staying around? Yeah, I'm down

:17:51. > :17:56.with the grime boys. Proper grime fan. I met wiley h, a chat about a

:17:57. > :18:00.-- had a chat about a fight coming up. Met Stormzy. Heard about that

:18:01. > :18:05.it's the new punk. I'm going to check it out. Then I'll pop over and

:18:06. > :18:09.see the Foo Fighters. You reckon you can do this and be left alone, will

:18:10. > :18:12.you be in disguise? No, not in disguise. Nice to be back playing

:18:13. > :18:14.tunes to the beautiful people. Congratulations, well done Thank

:18:15. > :18:21.you. Wow. He was on great form. He was.

:18:22. > :18:25.Finger on the pulse. Down with the grime boys. He looks so well. Clean

:18:26. > :18:29.shaven, good hair cut, really chatty. Drinking vinegar. Taking

:18:30. > :18:34.care of himself these days. We like that, Liam. So from one wiley to

:18:35. > :18:39.another, we go to the Godfather of grime. He tweeted earlier on how

:18:40. > :18:44.overjoyed he was to be on the farm. Here he is from the Other Stage,

:18:45. > :19:15.this is wiley. OK, let's go.

:19:16. > :21:45.It quote the good man himself, he well and truly united the raver.

:21:46. > :21:50.Wiley there. We were talking about a wedding which happened here. Can I

:21:51. > :21:54.just say, hello to Janette and friends of jolly Joch, they got

:21:55. > :21:58.married here. There's a plaque up in green fields. Jolly Joch is no

:21:59. > :22:02.longer with us. Hi to you guys. Lots of love. We're getting into the live

:22:03. > :22:09.music now. I've heard these guys rehearsing. They are brilliant.

:22:10. > :22:11.Usually when they say The Fedz are here, it's not a good thing, but

:22:12. > :22:30.this is. Enjoy, this is The Fedz. Hello people. Welcome to the sound

:22:31. > :22:30.of The Fedz. # It's driving me wild,

:22:31. > :22:36.our stars are in sync # So you know the smiles that

:22:37. > :22:40.are coming your way # I'm reading the signs

:22:41. > :22:48.and they're pointing my way # I tremble inside,

:22:49. > :23:35.so I walk in the rain # Because you're making me shy even

:23:36. > :23:42.when you're not here # Just bask in the sun

:23:43. > :23:50.is the tenth minute # Your love's got me jumping

:23:51. > :24:43.around, now I'm spinning around # Actions speak louder than words.

:24:44. > :24:47.We should be close # Want to go close to when my pen

:24:48. > :24:51.would write the sweet notes # The pen prize away

:24:52. > :24:55.# It feels sad because my blue skies are grey

:24:56. > :24:56.# Now my heart's full up # I thought that things would look

:24:57. > :25:00.up # I said it so dad, what can I say

:25:01. > :25:53.# You're the best I ever had. APPLAUSE

:25:54. > :25:57.Thank you. Lovely stuff from The Fedz there. Thanks very much guys.

:25:58. > :26:04.Brilliant. I wish we could join them you know? I think we'd fit in. Yeah.

:26:05. > :26:08.Seamlessly. I might be just what they're missing off the frontline. I

:26:09. > :26:11.think you more so than I. I think. So don't beat yourself up about it.

:26:12. > :26:16.Thank you very much. That was amazing. Now all kinds of music at

:26:17. > :26:20.Glastonbury, that's one of the joys of it. There's a variety. One thing

:26:21. > :26:25.that people say is underrepresented over the years is metal and perhaps

:26:26. > :26:27.extreme metal, denning metal and -- death metal and things like that.

:26:28. > :26:41.They put that right on Thursday night. A label of that kind of music

:26:42. > :26:46.brought it here. Let's see what happened here for Ear ache.

:26:47. > :26:51.2017 a seminal moment for Glastonbury. The festival is

:26:52. > :27:00.throwing open the fields for extreme metal. First up the band that

:27:01. > :27:12.started it all. It's a bit loud! This is napalm

:27:13. > :27:30.death. These are the daddies. These guys created the genre. Hey man, are

:27:31. > :27:34.you all right, you just played Glastonbury myself. You are so wet.

:27:35. > :27:40.Yeah. How do you think the crowd took, it man? Surprisingly,

:27:41. > :27:45.actually. It's a para-Dom. Because whilst we don't deliberately set out

:27:46. > :27:50.to shock people, needless to say the music's sonically violent. What

:27:51. > :27:55.underpins it is peace, tolerance, equality, non-violence. We still get

:27:56. > :27:58.a perverse kick out of like wrecking people's heads. You'll be pleased to

:27:59. > :28:06.know that I'm basically deaf at the moment. Metallica may have headlined

:28:07. > :28:11.the Pyramid Stage in 2014, but never before has metal at Glastonbury been

:28:12. > :28:17.so extreme. As night fell Lucy took me to a whole new area dedicated to

:28:18. > :28:26.metal's outer edges. Where are we? At the ear ache express in Shangri

:28:27. > :28:31.La. A massive shindig with loads of bands to celebrate extreme metal.

:28:32. > :28:39.Glastonbury has never had anything of this calibre. This is from the

:28:40. > :28:44.death metal scene. It's a tribal uniform for the death metal crowd.

:28:45. > :28:49.Is this a big thing in metal, looking scary? There's a

:28:50. > :28:52.misconception that the metal community are really scary. Most

:28:53. > :28:57.people have normal jobs, normal nine to five. It doesn't matter what walk

:28:58. > :29:03.of life you're from, how old you are, what gender you are, so long as

:29:04. > :29:08.you are happy in a mosh pit. We've got a band playing tonight

:29:09. > :29:13.called Worm Rot. They're brutal. They've come all the way from

:29:14. > :29:33.Singapore and they're Muslim. You look metal!

:29:34. > :29:39.Extreme metal has finally made its way to Glastonbury after 30 years.

:29:40. > :29:51.It's loud, and it's awesome! Long may it continue! Arghhh! I want to

:29:52. > :29:54.hang out with him. Nice one. I think James Ballardie has gone native.

:29:55. > :29:58.That's the beautiful thing about it, you leave real life at the gate.

:29:59. > :30:01.Absolutely. Check into fairy land and take it where you like.

:30:02. > :30:09.Inhibitions are left at the gate. Good man, James. We will catch up

:30:10. > :30:13.with Yasser now who has been hanging out at cinema-geddon. I'm interested

:30:14. > :30:16.to see this. I'm told it's like a drive-in cinema. Yeah a

:30:17. > :30:20.drive-through of sorts, like the old days. Couples put their arms round

:30:21. > :30:26.each other and enjoy the view. Here's Yasser.

:30:27. > :30:30.Hi guys, yes, I'm here, Joe is with me, one of the artists. What's the

:30:31. > :30:35.concept? The idea is it's like a mutated drive-in cinema. We've

:30:36. > :30:41.parked all these cars out here and people come and sit there and put

:30:42. > :30:45.the head phones on and watch the screen. That is the biggest screen

:30:46. > :30:49.I've ever seen in my life. I didn't know they make them this big. It's

:30:50. > :30:52.huge. What I love about this place, every car has its own

:30:53. > :31:00.characteristics. Talk to us about that. This is the rolls rust. You

:31:01. > :31:08.don't often see a rusty one. This is the royal car, which we drove Prince

:31:09. > :31:09.Edward into the Olympic Stadium at the closing ceremony. That's the

:31:10. > :31:25.glitter bug. The Messerschmitt over here. And

:31:26. > :31:35.this is one of my favourites. This is just a car in a hole. Settled

:31:36. > :31:40.down here, get your headphones. , As does the seats? Adjust them, turn on

:31:41. > :31:44.the air conditioning. This is one of my favourite places in the whole of

:31:45. > :31:46.Glastonbury. We are going to carry on and watch this film. Over to you

:31:47. > :31:59.guys back in the studio. That was Yasser at the

:32:00. > :32:06.Cineramageddon. Talking about having a choice of viewing, I spoke to my

:32:07. > :32:11.family today. My wife said, we haven't seen it so far. We sat and

:32:12. > :32:16.watched it last month, but the kid said, shall we watch love Island

:32:17. > :32:21.instead? So thanks, that is where I am in the pecking order. Well, we

:32:22. > :32:25.are here at Glastonbury and having a wonderful time. Well going to enjoy

:32:26. > :32:29.some music now a guy who it is safe to say the whole of the scene is

:32:30. > :32:33.rooting for and you will hear why. And with a heads up for some strong

:32:34. > :32:39.language and strobe lighting, this is the incredible Stormzy.

:32:40. > :32:43.Glastonbury, this is the upper stage. My name is Stormzy. You lot

:32:44. > :32:58.have been fucking legendary. Let's go, man! Energy. I need way more

:32:59. > :33:20.energy. I said Glastonbury, energy! One, two, one, two, three!

:33:21. > :33:21.# Energy crew # Energy crew.

:33:22. > :33:22.# You're getting way too big for your boots

:33:23. > :33:24.# I've got the big size twelves on my feet

:33:25. > :33:30.# Dem boy dere tried twist up the truth

:33:31. > :33:31.# How dare you twist up the truth, look

:38:54. > :38:54.# Stiff Chocolate, yeah, my face so smooth

:38:55. > :38:56.# Don't even talk too much, you're a talker

:38:57. > :38:58.# Dem man still go halves on a quarter

:38:59. > :39:00.# See me turn from a prince to a pauper

:39:01. > :39:03.# Two cigarettes and a bottle of water

:39:04. > :39:04.# Told the bouncers get the bottles in order

:39:05. > :39:05.# Man in the kitchen putting in orders

:39:06. > :39:07.# Stiff Chocolate, skin clear like water

:39:08. > :39:26.# Smooth on this ting, start locking up daughters

:39:27. > :40:03.The peoples champ, that was Stormzy on BBC Two. Apologies if you lost us

:40:04. > :40:07.for a second. We are very much alive. Had a technical issue but

:40:08. > :40:11.it's all good now. So the satellite went down during Stormzy, but we got

:40:12. > :40:16.an engineer out equipped with a monkey wrench. That was a song by

:40:17. > :40:20.someone, wasn't it? Was it the Foo Fighters? This is a well constructed

:40:21. > :40:22.link that throws us to Jo Whiley in the pit. Let's see how the mood is

:40:23. > :40:43.fermenting down there. The mood is ridiculous down here at

:40:44. > :40:45.the moment. There is a lot of chanting and singing going along.

:40:46. > :40:48.People are desperate for the band to come on stage. And they are very

:40:49. > :40:50.excited. Let's hear the story of the Foo Fighters. It's been almost 20

:40:51. > :40:55.years since the Foo Fighters took to the stage at Worthy Farm. The last

:40:56. > :40:59.Glastonbury appearance was way back in 1998. We are on the Main Stage,

:41:00. > :41:04.but there was some Euro cup final soccer thing happening, so we played

:41:05. > :41:09.in the pouring rain to not a lot of people. To each other. But over the

:41:10. > :41:16.last two decades, the band have established themselves as the

:41:17. > :41:21.princes of alternative rock. The Foos began life as Nirvana drummer

:41:22. > :41:25.Dave Grohl's solo project of self penned songs. Stepping out from

:41:26. > :41:35.behind the skin 's comedy played every instrument on their celebrated

:41:36. > :41:42.self titled debut. # Tricky second album the colour and

:41:43. > :41:51.shape spawned a rock outs... And singalong stadium anthems. Donatella

:41:52. > :41:59.Hawkins was installed as the New Statesman. Taylor, the new drummer,

:42:00. > :42:04.has given everything a new spot. And the Foos continued their journey to

:42:05. > :42:13.sky-high stardom. They topped the UK charts in 2002 with fourth album one

:42:14. > :42:26.by one. The band have bagged 11 Grammys. They have clocked up eight

:42:27. > :42:34.studio albums. And have sold out stadiums across the globe. In 2015,

:42:35. > :42:40.they were all set to headline the Pyramid Stage. But at a gig in

:42:41. > :42:46.Sweden, Dave's online sat-nav had a blip, resulting in a lower limb

:42:47. > :42:52.disaster. I think I just broke my leg. Nonetheless, he rocks on and

:42:53. > :42:55.finished the show. We were looking forward to playing Glastonbury, and

:42:56. > :43:01.I guess it was just a few days before that I broke my leg. So they

:43:02. > :43:09.moved Florence to the headliner. And they did a version of times like

:43:10. > :43:17.these. I remember I was in my wheelchair with my leg up, and I

:43:18. > :43:21.heard it online and went, she is singing! Florence And The Machine

:43:22. > :43:29.wowed the Somerset crowd, but the Foos promised to return. That the

:43:30. > :43:34.festival. That's the one. Sa tonight, the stars have aligned and

:43:35. > :43:44.finally, the Foo Fighters are rocking the Pyramid Stage. What it

:43:45. > :43:48.meant to be? Of course it was. I think it's safe to say the Foos are

:43:49. > :43:52.going to make a lot of people very happy tonight. It's kind of

:43:53. > :43:59.emotional for him to get here finally. So here we go. Here is Jo

:44:00. > :44:03.to set it all in motion. They are quite a rowdy bunch. The people down

:44:04. > :44:07.here are waiting for Foo Fighters. But they are behaving themselves now

:44:08. > :44:12.because they know Foo Fighters will be here imminently. Dave Grohl has

:44:13. > :44:16.said this gig tonight has immense meaning. He said this one has more

:44:17. > :44:19.meaning than any gig Foo Fighters have done before, that this is more

:44:20. > :44:23.than a gig, this is personal. He said he was moved to tears when he

:44:24. > :44:26.watched Florence And The Machine perform times like these when he had

:44:27. > :44:32.a broken leg and could not be here to play on the Pyramid Stage. So he

:44:33. > :44:36.has waited for two years to get back on two feat to be able to walk out

:44:37. > :44:41.on this date and be able to perform and give Glastonbury the kind of

:44:42. > :44:45.show they want. Of course, the band have been saying they have a lot of

:44:46. > :44:49.friends, so we are excited to see what will be happening on stage.

:44:50. > :44:53.There might be some colourful fireworks in the sky towards the end

:44:54. > :44:57.of the set. And there will certainly be hit after hit. You have probably

:44:58. > :45:00.heard that everybody here is in fine voice, so they will be singing along

:45:01. > :45:06.to every song they know. The band are about to walk out on stage, so,

:45:07. > :45:08.Saturday night, Glastonbury Festival, your Pyramid Stage

:45:09. > :45:13.headliners. There might be some swearing. Of course there will be.

:45:14. > :45:22.It is the Foo Fighters! They will be walking out now. Enjoy the whole set

:45:23. > :45:24.and sing along wherever you are at home. This is going to be a lot of

:45:25. > :46:24.fun. I'm about two years late tonight...

:46:25. > :46:27.I'm sorry. CHEERING

:46:28. > :46:41.Traffic was a bitch. Let me tell you something, for all

:46:42. > :46:54.of you that were here in 2015... CHEERING

:46:55. > :47:00.... I'm sorry I missed you. But I watched that show on my laptop, as I

:47:01. > :47:05.was sitting in a wheelchair with a broken leg and it looked beautiful.

:47:06. > :47:11.And my friend, Florence... CHEERING

:47:12. > :47:20.... Got to headline that year, and I'm very happy that happened because

:47:21. > :47:32.you know what, I thought she should have been headlining any way.

:47:33. > :47:42.As I was sitting in my wheelchair, watching this show on TV, all of a

:47:43. > :47:51.sudden she played a fucking Foo Fighters' song, man. Way better than

:47:52. > :48:00.we've ever played a Foo Fighters' song, let me tell you! So I thought

:48:01. > :48:06.I'd come out here and start the show tonight... Singing that song back to

:48:07. > :48:16.Florence tonight. That's what I want to do.

:48:17. > :49:10.# It's times like these you learn to live again

:49:11. > :49:16.# It's times like these you give and give again

:49:17. > :49:22.# It's times like these you learn to love again

:49:23. > :49:36.# It's times like these, time and time again

:49:37. > :49:46.# I'm a brand new sky to hang the stars upon tonight

:49:47. > :50:07.# Do I stay or run away and leave it all behind?

:50:08. > :50:18.# It's times like these you learn to live again

:50:19. > :50:24.# It's times like these you give and give again

:50:25. > :50:31.# It's times like these you learn to love again

:50:32. > :51:23.# It's times like these, time and time again

:51:24. > :51:39.# It's times like these you learn to live again

:51:40. > :51:42.# It's times like these you give and give again

:51:43. > :51:47.# It's times like these you learn to love again

:51:48. > :51:52.# It's times like these, time and time again

:51:53. > :51:56.# It's times like these you learn to live again

:51:57. > :52:02.# It's times like these you give and give again

:52:03. > :52:06.# It's times like these you learn to love again

:52:07. > :52:47.# It's times like these, time and time again

:52:48. > :55:41.Light them up. I want to see everybody! You ready? You ready?

:55:42. > :02:10.It's going to be a long night, you know that! I think tonight we should

:02:11. > :02:12.just play until they kick us off the stage. What do you think?

:02:13. > :02:19.CHEERING We can do it! You know we can do it.

:02:20. > :02:27.So now we're going to play some old songs. Songs from the first record.

:02:28. > :02:33.CHEERING Songs from the second record.

:02:34. > :02:35.CHEERING Songs from the third record. I like

:02:36. > :02:38.that one. CHEERING

:02:39. > :02:44.And the fourth record. CHEERING

:02:45. > :02:45.How about the fifth one? CHEERING

:02:46. > :02:48.How about the sixth one? CHEERING

:02:49. > :02:53.What about the seventh one? CHEERING

:02:54. > :02:57.Maybe we'll do something from the eighth one.

:02:58. > :03:02.CHEERING Maybe we'll do something from the

:03:03. > :03:06.ninth one, but you've not even fucking heard it yet. Let's shut it

:03:07. > :03:18.up. # Oh, sweet ignition

:03:19. > :04:37.be my fuse # You have no

:04:38. > :04:39.choice you have to choose # You have no choice,

:04:40. > :05:15.you have to choose # These rattled bones

:05:16. > :05:35.and rubber bands # Looking for a dime

:05:36. > :05:41.and found a quarter # But you can't

:05:42. > :05:43.make me change my name # You'll never make

:05:44. > :05:45.me change my name # Pay no mind now

:05:46. > :05:48.ain't that something # You'll never make

:05:49. > :07:18.me change my name # Pay no mind now

:07:19. > :10:56.ain't that something You like rock and roll?

:10:57. > :11:06.CHEERING You like rock and roll?

:11:07. > :11:10.LOUD CHEERING. Me, too. Let's play some rock and

:11:11. > :11:17.roll. Let's play some real rock and roll. Let's play some rock and roll

:11:18. > :11:22.you can dance to. You want to dance with me? Come on and dance! I can

:11:23. > :13:51.walk now! We can dance. I was just checking to make sure you

:13:52. > :13:59.like to rock and roll. If you want to fucking Singh, you want to sing

:14:00. > :14:03.with me, do both hands. We can do that. Who's got the backbeat?

:14:04. > :16:29.Listen. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:16:30. > :16:37.Hey! Hey! Hey! Hi. Ladies and gentlemen, I am going to say oh

:16:38. > :16:47.yeah. I can see you. I have a question. How you doing, you doing

:17:12. > :17:15.on. That's a lot of people. Let me introduce you to to Foo Fighters.

:17:16. > :17:37.That is Chris on lead guitar, that guy right there.

:17:38. > :17:44.I don't think Ted Nugent is very popular here, you, I know he is

:17:45. > :18:13.popular in your heart, but give them something real. Give them like a...

:18:14. > :18:29.Fucking show off! On the bass is Mr NateSt Mendell. A handsome man. You

:19:22. > :20:04.Unless... Oh, shit, come on.

:20:05. > :20:10.You can see why he is in this band! Look at that, Pat Smear. You know

:20:21. > :20:47.That is Glastonbury. They love ya. Pat doesn't do solos.

:21:02. > :21:12.coming, don't worry. Last but not fucking least...

:21:13. > :21:26.I know, he hates the attention, he's so modest and shy. That's Taylor

:36:39. > :36:48.This one's for you, James, and the last one. It's called These Days.

:36:49. > :37:00.# The ground will drop out from beneath your feet

:37:01. > :37:23.# Your heart will stop and play its final beat

:37:24. > :37:37.# The clocks will stop and time won't mean a thing

:37:38. > :38:31.# I'll bet, I'll bet I'll bet, I'll bet

:38:32. > :38:52.# Your eyes will close and pray you'll disappear

:38:53. > :39:07.# You will forget to hope and learn to fear

:39:08. > :39:45.# I'll bet, I'll bet I'll bet, I'll bet

:42:15. > :42:26.singalong in a place that never had a fucking singalong before! That's

:42:27. > :42:28.not the next part. The next part... Is a bit like this.

:42:29. > :42:53.# I'll bet, I'll bet I'll bet, I'll bet

:42:54. > :44:11.It's time to get going. This 1's for the naked guy.

:51:47. > :51:55.I don't know what it is. I'm not really asking permission for

:51:56. > :52:05.anything right now. How about this? You all can stay and dance and have

:52:06. > :52:12.a good time. We'll keep playing. You all can take a break. Come back, we

:52:13. > :52:18.might still be playing. If you want one of those parties,

:52:19. > :52:20.because... Ain't no party like a Foo Fighters party, that's the way I

:52:21. > :52:36.like look at it. For the last month, everyone's been

:52:37. > :52:39.asking, how's it feel? You going to headline Glastonbury, how's that

:52:40. > :52:43.feel? This is it, you're going to headline Glastonbury, how does that

:52:44. > :52:47.feel, you're going to do it. It's going to to be the big one, it's the

:52:48. > :52:59.big one. This is it! And we got here tonight,

:53:00. > :53:04.I walked in, walked in the side of the stage, I looked out at the

:53:07. > :53:10.Glastonbury, how does that feel, you're going to do it. It's going to

:53:11. > :53:13.to be the big one, it's the big one. This is it! And we got here tonight,

:53:19. > :53:21.headline Glastonbury, how does that feel, you're going to do it. It's

:53:22. > :53:23.going to to be the big one, it's the big one.

:53:24. > :53:26.This is it! And we got here tonight, I walked in, walked in the side of

:53:27. > :53:28.the stage, I looked out at the audience, and I said, "We're going

:53:29. > :53:31.to light that mother fucker up tonight." And, it look like a party

:53:32. > :53:34.to me, right? So this is the slow dance. This is a couple's dance.

:53:35. > :53:38.It's an old song we don't play very often. Because no-one likes it.

:53:39. > :53:45.We'll see what happens. A song called wheels.

:53:46. > :54:46.# Well I wanted something better, man

:00:09. > :00:10.song, Chris? Let's do it. It's a new song. It's called Run. It sounds

:00:11. > :00:22.like this. # Seems that all they ever wanted

:00:23. > :05:52.was a brother # Even all the ever wanting

:05:53. > :06:04.had a problem # Seems that all they ever wanted

:06:05. > :06:26.was a marking # This is a call

:06:27. > :06:44.to all my past resignations # Seems that all the cysts and

:06:45. > :07:25.molluscs tend to barter # Even all the ones

:07:26. > :07:32.who watered down the daughter # Seems that all they ever wanted

:07:33. > :08:38.was a marking # This is a call

:08:39. > :08:55.to all my past resignations # Ain't that the way

:08:56. > :10:43.it always starts # Hey don't go

:10:44. > :11:03.and turn the other way # Don't say there's

:11:04. > :11:08.nothin more to say # You used to say
