:14:34. > :14:40.looked at each other and said, yeah! Right after it was over, he said,

:14:41. > :14:44.this is a group. What did you sing at the party? 60 minute man! You

:28:38. > :28:43.# It took me so long to get here but here I am

:28:44. > :28:52.# It took me so long I can't believe it

:28:53. > :29:34.Thank you, KT Tunstall. That is from her album Khin. Before that, we

:29:35. > :29:39.enjoyed the Temptations. Great dance legends and now a contemporary dance

:29:40. > :29:44.legend, Pete Tong. Welcome. Great to see you. Banksy having the. There's

:29:45. > :29:49.a drink for you, a drink for me and a mysterious glass of water to

:29:50. > :29:56.cleanse our mouths between chats. You've collaborated with conductor

:29:57. > :30:00.and arranger James Buckley on an orchestral record, which is a

:30:01. > :30:08.brilliant idea but an unusual mix. How did it come about? Radio 1 were

:30:09. > :30:12.approached last year to curate a prom and they asked me. I said, why

:30:13. > :30:17.don't we celebrate going to be further 20 years? We spent about six

:30:18. > :30:24.months putting together with the Heritage Orchestra and we had this

:30:25. > :30:28.magical night in the Albert Hall and it was a great night and there was

:30:29. > :30:33.loads of excitement but it was really the days afterwards, it kind

:30:34. > :30:35.of went viral on the iPlayer and YouTube. Everyone was saying, did

:30:36. > :30:41.you see what happened there? The momentum built and demand was out

:30:42. > :30:46.there to do it again so we worked out how to do it at the beginning of

:30:47. > :30:52.this year, but shows on sale and find the studio and make the album.

:30:53. > :30:58.How big is the orchestra? He's got a very large orchestra! So big we

:30:59. > :31:02.couldn't bring it today. 65 piece. That was part of the reason why it

:31:03. > :31:07.took so long to organise it because we wanted that scale and it really

:31:08. > :31:13.does move you. The orchestral thing is fantastic. There must be quite a

:31:14. > :31:21.lot of challenges if you are combining those two sorts of music.

:31:22. > :31:25.I wanted to honour how great this music was. These tunes first came

:31:26. > :31:30.out in the late 80s and early 90s at the beginning of house music, rave,

:31:31. > :31:34.techno and these were really special records and sometimes I don't think

:31:35. > :31:37.they get the props they deserve so proving to people that you can

:31:38. > :31:42.orchestrate them and perform them in that way, that's why I think it got

:31:43. > :31:45.such a great reaction. When these tracks were made, the musicians in

:31:46. > :31:54.Chicago and Detroit couldn't do it with an orchestra. They did it with

:31:55. > :32:01.one finger wizardry. We've got a clip here of Insomnia at the Royal

:32:02. > :32:48.Albert Hall in 2015. APPLAUSE

:32:49. > :32:51.That is quite amazing. We kept the players playing with some hand

:32:52. > :32:54.signals between me and Jules and they were cursing is at the end

:32:55. > :32:59.because they had to go round and round. It is quite a challenging

:33:00. > :33:05.thing to get some sort of pulse of music to keep it rhythmic. Live

:33:06. > :33:09.music is often a challenge. They play it all. There is nothing

:33:10. > :33:14.running underneath. Had you played the Albert Hall before? Never. It

:33:15. > :33:17.was a first and that's my couldn't turn it down. I'd never done

:33:18. > :33:22.anything like that before but when you get offered the Albert Hall, you

:33:23. > :33:29.have to do it! So people have got another experience, to see if they

:33:30. > :33:32.can experience it live. We are going to Birmingham, London and

:33:33. > :33:36.Manchester. It is a marvellous record. We look forward to hearing

:33:37. > :33:40.more of that. Thank you for joining us, Pete Tong.

:33:41. > :33:44.APPLAUSE Jules Buckley and Pete Tong, what an

:33:45. > :33:47.interesting mix. Speaking of interesting mixes, let's now welcome

:33:48. > :34:18.this brand-new duo, from Norwich, Let's Eat Grandma.

:34:19. > :34:24.# Create a basin and put your face in

:34:25. > :34:25.# Voice and skin hidden in the basement

:34:26. > :34:31.# And to explain the game is a giveaway

:34:32. > :34:32.# Stay, create a place and backdrop it

:34:33. > :34:40.# Create a basin and put your face in

:34:41. > :34:42.# Acetone tears rolling down the pavement

:34:43. > :34:50.# To retain the blame is a heavy weight

:34:51. > :34:53.# Stay, I need your help to unblock it

:34:54. > :35:46.# Create a basin and put your face in

:35:47. > :35:48.# Porcelain skin is an understatement

:35:49. > :36:47.# Yeah, I just didn't know what to say

:36:48. > :39:40.# Is it the way that my body grooves?

:39:41. > :40:37.# I feel it, I'll never let you go # I won't let you go

:40:38. > :41:46.Amazing people. Over here, we have met Mr Duke Fakir the four Tops and

:41:47. > :41:50.we have one of the Temptations who is performing with this this

:41:51. > :41:54.evening, Otis Williams! What fantastic music, millions of people

:41:55. > :41:59.love your music, minions of people love your records, now you are on

:42:00. > :42:04.tour with the four Tops, you have got Grammys, you must go back a long

:42:05. > :42:08.way with them. Do you have fun? It is a friendly rivalry, we love them,

:42:09. > :42:19.but on stage, we try to kill them! LAUGHTER

:42:20. > :42:27.He's here now, just behind me. Hey! How you doing! When you go on stage,

:42:28. > :42:31.the friendliness is gone. I know that the four Tops will be trying to

:42:32. > :42:37.slay the Temptations, that is a friendly rivalry that has been going

:42:38. > :42:41.on since the 60s. Great for them to see, so what do people see when they

:42:42. > :42:47.come out of the show? They will see the traditional Temptations, as we

:42:48. > :42:51.have been going, the fancy suits, and whatever, so we will still be

:42:52. > :42:56.the character that we have been since Day 1. You are going to do

:42:57. > :42:59.another song in a moment. We are going to do just my imagination.

:43:00. > :43:06.APPLAUSE I remember when that record came

:43:07. > :43:17.out, put it on, and I was 16, girls would burst into tears, there is one

:43:18. > :43:23.chord, the five chord, they would burst into tears. The power of

:43:24. > :43:34.music, especially when you can move "the birds"(!) LAUGHTER

:43:35. > :43:40.We will be hearing Just My Imagination With These Fine Fellows

:43:41. > :43:50.In Just A Moment. And now we welcome back, Haley Bonar.

:43:51. > :43:52.# Born in the spring, I've always needed

:43:53. > :43:57.# And come to think of it now, so did you

:43:58. > :43:59.# Maybe that explains this fascination with death

:44:00. > :44:18.# "The cross protects you from the shame"

:44:19. > :44:26.# That comes along with living in the kind of world

:44:27. > :44:32.# Where boys can only kiss the girls

:44:33. > :44:37.# Excuse me, sir, do you have a light?

:44:38. > :44:53.# But that's what makes us brighter than the rest

:44:54. > :44:56.# Who'd think a weight like this could make you feel blessed?

:44:57. > :45:46.# Not bittersweet, the taste of living

:45:47. > :45:57.# But we both know your future wasn't with me

:45:58. > :46:00.# Long before your body betrayed you

:46:01. > :46:02.# Royalty, through the streamers and the beams

:46:03. > :46:14.# They tied you up and called you queen

:46:15. > :46:16.# Passed out in a bathroom stall

:46:17. > :46:18.# You still looked better than them all

:46:19. > :46:51.# Watched the castle dance in flames #.

:46:52. > :47:39.# I say to myself # You're such a lucky guy

:47:40. > :48:02.# Out of all the fellas in the world # She belongs to you

:48:03. > :48:29.# It was just my imagination # Runnin' away with me

:48:30. > :48:37.# With a cosy little home out in the country

:48:38. > :49:05.# This couldn't be a dream for too real it all seems

:49:06. > :49:50.# Don't ever let another take her away from me

:49:51. > :50:07.# When her arms enfold me I hear a tender rhapsody

:50:08. > :50:11.# But in reality, she doesn't even know me

:50:12. > :51:27.The Temptations! I have the best job in the world! Just my imagination,

:51:28. > :51:38.the Temptations. Before that, we enjoyed Haley Bonar. The brand-new

:51:39. > :52:23.wonderful music, now, we welcome, Teleman!

:52:24. > :52:32.# Could it be you came to rescue me

:52:33. > :52:52.# But I can't get close enough, you see

:52:53. > :53:06.# There's a concrete wave that's pulling me

:53:07. > :53:24.# Wanna dance that foxtrot here for me?

:53:25. > :53:36.# And I can't get close enough tonight

:53:37. > :53:47.# To the heat from your red firelight

:53:48. > :53:56.# How long must we circle before we can touch down

:53:57. > :53:59.# How deep must we swing to pick up what we've found?
