0:00:01 > 0:00:11The final countdown! They survived the star way. Dodge disaster in the
0:00:12 > 0:00:19deliberation room. And fought their way into the final. The prize of
0:00:20 > 0:00:24that role in the musical is so close, one star way. Scary thinking
0:00:25 > 0:00:28there are two other performances for someone to give you your dreams. The
0:00:29 > 0:00:32best experience of my life to send us on that tour, that would be a
0:00:33 > 0:00:39dream. They battled through the break-ups. And break dancing of the
0:00:40 > 0:00:48live shows. To be the last man standing. Tonight, Drive, Five To
0:00:49 > 0:00:55Five and Nightfall go head-to-head and sing live not once but twice.
0:00:56 > 0:00:59The judges have no say, it is up to the viewers. Tonight, we find the
0:01:00 > 0:01:26winning band. It's the final, let's go!
0:01:27 > 0:01:29Welcome to the final of Let it Shine.
0:01:30 > 0:02:10I'm glad they ditched the human cannonball idea!
0:02:11 > 0:02:12If you think that was a surprising entrance,
0:02:13 > 0:02:18Tonight, one band will win that amazing prize -
0:02:19 > 0:02:20the role of the all-singing and dancing boyband
0:02:21 > 0:02:28So shall we get our three finalists out?
0:02:29 > 0:02:31Turn the brightness up on your TV to maximum for Bradley, Danny,
0:02:32 > 0:02:50Go wild for AJ, Curtis, Nick, Sario and Yazdan.
0:02:51 > 0:03:08They're all revved up and ready to go.
0:03:09 > 0:03:12Make some noise for Conor, Jazzie, Jonnie, Mark and Matt.
0:03:13 > 0:03:31Hello! Welcome!
0:03:32 > 0:03:52Remember, tonight's vote is all in your hands.
0:03:53 > 0:03:59The vote will open after all our bands have performed twice.
0:04:00 > 0:04:01And if you want to vote online you'll need to sign
0:04:02 > 0:04:09in to your BBC account or register first at bbc.co.uk/letitshine.
0:04:10 > 0:04:12We've got our bands, so I suppose we could do
0:04:13 > 0:04:27But before we see them, let's hear from them.
0:04:28 > 0:04:38The final. The moment we have been looking forward to for eight weeks.
0:04:39 > 0:04:43I am excited, it comes down to this. This week the boys will perform not
0:04:44 > 0:04:48one but two songs. The first is a high-energy musical theatre song.
0:04:49 > 0:04:52Song from a musical adds a new dimension because within this they
0:04:53 > 0:04:57have to tell a story, this is completely different from singing
0:04:58 > 0:05:02pop songs. This is the moment when you feel, OK, we are in the theatre.
0:05:03 > 0:05:07Then, there are versions of ballots by Ed Sheeran, boys to men and Miley
0:05:08 > 0:05:12Cyrus. Pop ballads are so important for any boy band. There is no thing
0:05:13 > 0:05:15that separates these bands, only one of them can win. Now is the time to
0:05:16 > 0:05:17shine. Shiny and bright. Lovely to see you.
0:05:18 > 0:06:07OK... Yes, that is the judges. You three have been there
0:06:08 > 0:06:09from the very beginning. Dannii, can you believe
0:06:10 > 0:06:18it's the final? It has come around so quickly. I
0:06:19 > 0:06:22have to say, this is particularly two friends Adam, don't call me
0:06:23 > 0:06:31tomorrow and say, I love that band and they did not get through, vote!
0:06:32 > 0:06:34Wise words. Strong words from Dannii.
0:06:35 > 0:06:38Martin, our bands' first performances are to
0:06:39 > 0:06:48How's that going to help people decide which band
0:06:49 > 0:07:00Absolutely, we know all of these bands can sing pop songs until the
0:07:01 > 0:07:04cows come home but musical theatre numbers is what they will have to
0:07:05 > 0:07:10sing for the rest of their lives if they win this competition. Tough
0:07:11 > 0:07:24talk from Martin Kemp! The rest of their lives! Just musical theatre
0:07:25 > 0:07:37songs! Gary... Gary Barlow! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:07:38 > 0:07:42To jobs or no. Yes, we will be judging here as usual but we will
0:07:43 > 0:07:46perform later on. Looking forward to that! Robbie Williams, on this
0:07:47 > 0:07:50stage! We've had some excellent guest
0:07:51 > 0:07:52judges across the series. Gary, would you care to give us
0:07:53 > 0:08:07a clue to who is joining This person is the most successful
0:08:08 > 0:08:11comedian in the world! This person has also been in musical theatre and
0:08:12 > 0:08:19they are great friend of mine. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome the
0:08:20 > 0:08:31guest judge... CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:08:32 > 0:09:27Wa-hey! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:09:28 > 0:09:38Welcome, is that Peter? I said Honey! And you say Pete! I am all
0:09:39 > 0:09:47the better for seeing you. This is the first time you have been on a
0:09:48 > 0:09:57judging panel. Gary next year, he is very Zen. What would you be like?
0:09:58 > 0:10:02Very inadequate! But I am standing in Robbie Williams. He has hurt his
0:10:03 > 0:10:06back and we wish them the very swift recovery.
0:10:07 > 0:10:12APPLAUSE He will be singing and dancing later
0:10:13 > 0:10:17on. But not sitting down. He cannot sit and judge too much. But he will
0:10:18 > 0:10:22be getting up to sing and dance. Seeing as we're kicking off tonight
0:10:23 > 0:10:25with some hit musical theatre songs, we sent each band backstage to some
0:10:26 > 0:10:31of the biggest West End shows. Let's see what happened
0:10:32 > 0:10:47when the curtain comes down Lastly, Nightfall received rave
0:10:48 > 0:10:53review from the judges. Incredible, the most impressed -- improved our
0:10:54 > 0:11:02Huw and Julius. So harmonic, it looks right. And the boys are
0:11:03 > 0:11:09feeling on top of the world. Look at those few! This weekend is mad. I
0:11:10 > 0:11:14just loved every single minute. I think we really work as a group.
0:11:15 > 0:11:18Final destination- the Aldwych Theatre and a taste of what this
0:11:19 > 0:11:27competition is all about. A job in a real theatre show. Look at this!
0:11:28 > 0:11:34Like that, playing this every night. It has got me excited. This is nice.
0:11:35 > 0:11:38When you come here and you know what you are fighting for and working
0:11:39 > 0:11:46towards, it hits you like a tonne of bricks. The youngest boy left, Huw,
0:11:47 > 0:11:51is realising the scale of what is at stake. Right, this is what I am
0:11:52 > 0:11:56here, to put a smile on people's faces. Standing here is just
0:11:57 > 0:12:02amazing, this is where I want to be. Waiting for Nightfall is Cassidy
0:12:03 > 0:12:08Jansen, who has advice for the boys before their performance in the
0:12:09 > 0:12:12final. Never repeat performance, always create something right night
0:12:13 > 0:12:17because if you create something in the moment, it is always fun. You
0:12:18 > 0:12:21never get bored. In theatre you perform to the back of the stage, is
0:12:22 > 0:12:30that easy? Do you want to try projecting? We will go to the top,
0:12:31 > 0:12:51and you three can do the projection. OK. Go one! Rubbish! Laaa! That was
0:12:52 > 0:12:56good! Laaa! Perfect! That was good. It was great when Cassidy said who
0:12:57 > 0:13:01could project the loudest, if we want to win this, we will want to
0:13:02 > 0:13:06reach those people at the back of the room. I thought they were
0:13:07 > 0:13:10adorable and really professional. Pleasure to meet you. They come from
0:13:11 > 0:13:13different backgrounds, older and younger, they have this great work
0:13:14 > 0:13:17ethic. Have the best time on Saturday night. You will smash it.
0:13:18 > 0:13:30APPLAUSE # Footloose, kick off
0:13:31 > 0:14:05the Sunday shoes. # Please, Louise, pull
0:14:06 > 0:14:10me off of my knees. # Jack, get back, come
0:14:11 > 0:14:16on before we crack. # Lose your blues,
0:14:17 > 0:14:26everybody cut footloose. # You're playing so cool,
0:14:27 > 0:14:31obeying every rule. # You're burning, yearning
0:14:32 > 0:14:39for the some-somebody to tell you. # You'll get by if
0:14:40 > 0:14:57you'd only cut loose. # Footloose, kick off
0:14:58 > 0:15:01the Sunday shoes. # Ooh-whee, Marie, shake
0:15:02 > 0:15:07it, shake it for me. # Whoah, Milo come on,
0:15:08 > 0:15:12come on let's go. # Lose your blues,
0:15:13 > 0:15:27everybody cut footloose. # Everybody, everybody
0:15:28 > 0:15:39cut footloose. Let's hear it again for Bradley,
0:15:40 > 0:15:46Danny, Huw, Jason and Julius. Your friends and family looked
0:15:47 > 0:16:03like they enjoyed that. They've burst some of their letters.
0:16:04 > 0:16:08Oh, no. Gary, this is the first time these
0:16:09 > 0:16:21guys have tackled a modern Listen, let's just be clear, these
0:16:22 > 0:16:28guys deliver with everything we give them, they really do. It's true.
0:16:29 > 0:16:31Their job within this musical is to be convincing to the audience that
0:16:32 > 0:16:36they are a boy band, a great boy band, the biggest in the country.
0:16:37 > 0:16:42Guys, you were amazing tonight, well done.
0:16:43 > 0:16:50Dannii, do you agree, do they capture the spirit of a real boy
0:16:51 > 0:16:53band? Arrrrr! You guys have been consistent but up until tonight
0:16:54 > 0:16:56there was a question mark as to whether you could put that kind of
0:16:57 > 0:17:03energy together and you delivered tonight.
0:17:04 > 0:17:15APPLAUSE. She's loving it.
0:17:16 > 0:17:22Later on we'll be seeing a pop ballad. I need the boys to walk out
0:17:23 > 0:17:29in that ballad and act as if it's press night at Gary's new musical.
0:17:30 > 0:17:46But after a performance like that, I can smell BO! Box office!
0:17:47 > 0:17:57Someone's been working on that all week! If that is you... It's me,
0:17:58 > 0:18:01Graham, don't you worry, son. You've sold out arenas and things, can
0:18:02 > 0:18:08these guys hack it? Can they what? What did he say? Could they sell out
0:18:09 > 0:18:12an arena? Oh, that were fantastic, where's me golden buzzer, get it
0:18:13 > 0:18:20pressed. I'll tell you something, Graham, I'll tell you something,
0:18:21 > 0:18:23lads, your names are here, Bradley, Danny, Julius, you're on that bit of
0:18:24 > 0:18:28paper here, that's all good what you are doing but look behind you, lads,
0:18:29 > 0:18:33see where the real money is, scaffolding. Always have a trade
0:18:34 > 0:18:36behind you, lads. LAUGHTER.
0:18:37 > 0:18:46Telling you, scaffolding. Remember, you alone decide
0:18:47 > 0:18:48who will win that prize and we will announce the winners
0:18:49 > 0:18:51in this very show. So if you're such a big fan
0:18:52 > 0:18:53of Nightfall you've switched to working night shifts,
0:18:54 > 0:18:55then get behind them. But don't try and vote now as it
0:18:56 > 0:19:00won't count and you may be charged. For now, let's hear
0:19:01 > 0:19:03it for Nightfall! Graham, if the speaking clock had
0:19:04 > 0:19:25a favourite band, who would it be? Oh, what a beautiful morning. It's
0:19:26 > 0:19:31the final week and the boys are giddy from last weekend.
0:19:32 > 0:19:35# Tell her about it... # You are truly perfection. An
0:19:36 > 0:19:40absolute express train that will not stop. The locomotion. You don't have
0:19:41 > 0:19:45to take the judges quite so literally, boys. Wait, what's this?
0:19:46 > 0:19:51Baby of the group Nick is using a crutch. Come on, Nick. What did the
0:19:52 > 0:19:56physio say? A muscle down there is super tight. He told know rest up
0:19:57 > 0:20:00for a couple of days. That's all I can go. Having met up with fifth
0:20:01 > 0:20:04member Yazdan, our boys hot-footed it through the West End and took to
0:20:05 > 0:20:12the stage of one of the hottest tickets in town. Oh, my... Oh! Boys.
0:20:13 > 0:20:16This is the dream innit. I know, right. Imagine that full of people.
0:20:17 > 0:20:23We should do our routine for this weekend. You can stop an avalanche
0:20:24 > 0:20:29and it races down the hill... Oh, who is that? ! Very nice, boys. Meet
0:20:30 > 0:20:33Charlie, currently starring in Half A Sixpence and has just won a Best
0:20:34 > 0:20:37Actor award for his first ever lead role so who better to give advice
0:20:38 > 0:20:42about the trappings of success? Getting five star reviews is amazing
0:20:43 > 0:20:45but I know I can do better. Perfection from Gary Barlow is
0:20:46 > 0:20:54incredible and no-one can take that away from you. Never be Happy with
0:20:55 > 0:21:00what you give, it's never enough. What happened? I overworked it.
0:21:01 > 0:21:04Before this, I was just restoring cars so I'm not used to the intense
0:21:05 > 0:21:09hours and all of the dancing. With experience you learn what your body
0:21:10 > 0:21:13can do and not. It's like a professional athlete. It makes you
0:21:14 > 0:21:16anxious actually in terms of getting it right and, you know, this could
0:21:17 > 0:21:20be our lives for the next year if we win. I hope you get better soon.
0:21:21 > 0:21:25Thank you very much. With Nick needing all the luck he can get, AJ
0:21:26 > 0:21:29commits a theatre world sin. Oh, none of that. We can't whistle
0:21:30 > 0:21:34backstage because it's a superstition. Any other
0:21:35 > 0:21:40superstitions? I have a pair of Socks that I've worn for every
0:21:41 > 0:21:44audition I've ever been to. My sister got me a four leaf clever, we
0:21:45 > 0:21:49put it on card and I put it on my pocket every time before I go on
0:21:50 > 0:21:54stage. That is amazing. Hopefully it can work for the final. Speaking to
0:21:55 > 0:21:57Charlie has been inspirational. He achieved his dream. What happens
0:21:58 > 0:22:01this Saturday could be the beginning of the rest of our lives. It's an
0:22:02 > 0:22:03incredibly scary thought but also a very exciting thought.
0:22:04 > 0:22:11APPLAUSE. # You can't stop an avalanche as it
0:22:12 > 0:22:15races down the hill. # You can try to stop the seasons,
0:22:16 > 0:22:20girl, but you know you never will. # And you can try to stop my dancing
0:22:21 > 0:22:25feet, but I just cannot stand still! # 'Cause the world keeps
0:22:26 > 0:22:29spinnin' round and round. # And my heart's keepin' time
0:22:30 > 0:22:33to the speed of the sound. # I was lost 'til I heard the drums,
0:22:34 > 0:22:37then I found my way. # A woman found out if she shook it
0:22:38 > 0:22:46she could shake up a man. # So now I'm gonna shake and shimmy
0:22:47 > 0:22:51it the best that I can today. # 'Cause you can't stop the motion
0:22:52 > 0:22:55of the ocean or the sun in the sky. # You can wonder, if you wanna,
0:22:56 > 0:22:58but I never ask why. # And if you try to hold me down I'm
0:22:59 > 0:23:02gonna spit in your eye and say. # I am now a checkerboard
0:23:03 > 0:23:11chick, woo! # You can't stop the river
0:23:12 > 0:23:14as it rushes to the sea. # You can try to stop
0:23:15 > 0:23:16the hands of time, # And if they try to stop us,
0:23:17 > 0:23:23Seaweed, I'll call the N double ACP. # Cause the world keeps
0:23:24 > 0:23:26spinnin round and round. # And my heart's keepin time
0:23:27 > 0:23:29to the speed of sound. # I was lost 'til I heard the drums,
0:23:30 > 0:23:32then I found my way. # A man and woman like to shake it
0:23:33 > 0:23:41on a Saturday night. # So I'm gonna shake and shimmy it
0:23:42 > 0:23:44with all of my might today. # Cause you cant stop
0:23:45 > 0:23:47the motion of the ocean, # you can try to stop
0:23:48 > 0:23:52the paradise were dreamin of. # But you cannot stop the rhythm
0:23:53 > 0:23:55of two hearts in love to stay. Let's hear it again for AJ, Curtis,
0:23:56 > 0:24:47Nick, Sario and Yazdan. Now, Nick, love... Do you want to
0:24:48 > 0:24:51sit down? Are you OK? Nick has been very, very brave. He's got a leg
0:24:52 > 0:24:57injury. Nick, would you like to sit down, love? Come on. Are you sure
0:24:58 > 0:25:03you're OK? He's got a leg injury. Anyway. Well done, Nick.
0:25:04 > 0:25:09CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. All right, my love. Very brave.
0:25:10 > 0:25:13Gary, last week you said Five To Five gave you goosebumps.
0:25:14 > 0:25:18How did they do in their first performance of the night?
0:25:19 > 0:25:27Well, just listen to the audience. Oh, my goodness.
0:25:28 > 0:25:31You know... CHANTING.
0:25:32 > 0:25:33Nick, we all have an injury after our performance, mate, you killed
0:25:34 > 0:25:44it, really did. I feel terrible because obviously
0:25:45 > 0:25:49you're hurting but happily the next performance will be a slow ballad,
0:25:50 > 0:25:59Dannii. So what advice do you give the boys during that? I love to see
0:26:00 > 0:26:02personality in every performance. Keep your own personality, and let
0:26:03 > 0:26:05that shine through. Don't get too serious with it. Keep the
0:26:06 > 0:26:12personality there. Nick, my friend, all of you guys are new to this,
0:26:13 > 0:26:15theatre is athletic and you've shown us that you are going to turn up no
0:26:16 > 0:26:21matter what and you are going to keep going.
0:26:22 > 0:26:24APPLAUSE. Martin, what did you think? I'm
0:26:25 > 0:26:29going to be really honest here, eight weeks ago when we started this
0:26:30 > 0:26:34whole process, I never dreamed in my wildest imagination that we would
0:26:35 > 0:26:41find someone as good as you boys. APPLAUSE.
0:26:42 > 0:26:51All I can say is Take That beware because Five To Five are in town!
0:26:52 > 0:26:56Ooh hello! They were good, Martin, they weren't that good!
0:26:57 > 0:27:02Peter, did they win you over? How's Nick's leg? It's OK we think. Nick
0:27:03 > 0:27:06are you OK my love? He's standing. Rub his leg. They are dropping like
0:27:07 > 0:27:14flies here. Kiss of death. Do you know what I'm going to do Nick for
0:27:15 > 0:27:22you and Robbie, we are going to send you to Lourdes. Brilliant that,
0:27:23 > 0:27:27boys. Worth missing ANT Dec for that, that, thank God I've got it on
0:27:28 > 0:27:33series link. I hope your leg's all right, Nick. If you agree with
0:27:34 > 0:27:43Peter, vote for them later on, details are on screen.
0:27:44 > 0:27:47And don't forget, you can vote on the website.
0:27:48 > 0:27:49Just make sure you sign in or register first.
0:27:50 > 0:28:04And while you're there you can also find out more about our boys.
0:28:05 > 0:28:14Alfie Boe and Michael Ball give us a Les Miserables master class. An of
0:28:15 > 0:28:20course don't fear, Take That and Robbie Williams on this stage later
0:28:21 > 0:28:24on. That's coming up later. Now, if you saw last week's dramatic Results
0:28:25 > 0:28:27Show, you'll know the judges decided to keep all five members of our next
0:28:28 > 0:28:39band together. It's Drive everybody! What actually happened on Saturday?
0:28:40 > 0:28:45There is only one place left. Who is it going to be? Seeing Jazzie on his
0:28:46 > 0:28:49own, I just felt sick. I was the last one to get picked and I started
0:28:50 > 0:28:54making my acceptance speech in my head. Such a good feeling all
0:28:55 > 0:28:57getting through together. We have got the last hurdle to get over and
0:28:58 > 0:29:03I feel like we can definitely do this. We are in the finals, we are
0:29:04 > 0:29:08in the finals! Musical theatre this week, this should be our thing. Yes,
0:29:09 > 0:29:13for experienced performers Matt and Jonnie, the stage is familiar
0:29:14 > 0:29:18territory but today's visit to musical School of Rock, it will be
0:29:19 > 0:29:24the first time Conor and Jazzie have ever set foot in a theatre. And it's
0:29:25 > 0:29:28a chance to dream about that prize. To actually win it and go, this is a
0:29:29 > 0:29:32job, I think you will perform it every day eight days a week for 12
0:29:33 > 0:29:40months with a happy smile on your face. Eight days a week. I've never
0:29:41 > 0:29:46done theatre before. I come from a pop background. What is a standing
0:29:47 > 0:29:58ovation like in a place like this? Best feeling ever. Do you get roses
0:29:59 > 0:30:01thrown at you? You do a bow. After rehearsing, the guys get a chance to
0:30:02 > 0:30:07tour the theatre and two of the young stars lead the way.
0:30:08 > 0:30:13Come over here, we'll show you some stuff. This is the guitar vault.
0:30:14 > 0:30:17While the kids rock out, Jonnie's previous day job selling ice-cream
0:30:18 > 0:30:23in theatre foyers is playing on his mind.
0:30:24 > 0:30:30I really wanna be on stage so that when I walk past the ice-cream I
0:30:31 > 0:30:38feel a bit sick. Getting weird energy. Conner is still soaking up
0:30:39 > 0:30:43his experience of the stage. This is massive. With the final the only
0:30:44 > 0:30:47thing standing in Drive's way, star of School of Rock, David Finn
0:30:48 > 0:30:52explains how he handles the pressure of a big night. Break it down song
0:30:53 > 0:30:56by song. If my voice is tired I'm just like OK I just need to get
0:30:57 > 0:31:00through this song and then I'm through to the next one, that helps
0:31:01 > 0:31:04you with it being so overwhelming. It's not necessarily about nailing
0:31:05 > 0:31:08every line, telling the story is the most important thing. It's team
0:31:09 > 0:31:11work, that sounds crazy but it is. That's the best thing I've heard,
0:31:12 > 0:31:14it's about a team. Coming to the theatre has brought it home to me,
0:31:15 > 0:31:23this is 100% what I want to do, this is real, this could be us.
0:31:24 > 0:31:26# I saw my problems and I'll see the light.
0:31:27 > 0:31:30# We got a lovin' thing, we gotta feed it right.
0:31:31 > 0:31:35# There ain't no danger we can go too far.
0:31:36 > 0:31:42# We start believin' now that we can be who we are, grease is the word.
0:31:43 > 0:31:45# They think our love is just a growin' pain.
0:31:46 > 0:31:54# Their lips are lyin', only real is real.
0:31:55 > 0:31:58# We stop the fight right now, we got to be what we feel,
0:31:59 > 0:32:07# It's got a groove, it's got a meaning.
0:32:08 > 0:32:11# Grease is the time, is the place, is the motion.
0:32:12 > 0:32:24# This is a life of illusion, a life of control.
0:32:25 > 0:32:28# Mixed with confusion, what're we doin' here?
0:32:29 > 0:32:32# We take the pressure, and we throw away conventionality,
0:32:33 > 0:32:39# There is a chance that we can make it so far.
0:32:40 > 0:32:48# We start believin' now that we can be who we are, grease is the word.
0:32:49 > 0:32:55# Grease is the time, is the place, is the motion.
0:32:56 > 0:33:18# Grease is the time, is the place, is the motion.
0:33:19 > 0:33:42Let's hear it for Conor, Jazzie, Jonnie, Mark and Matt.
0:33:43 > 0:33:55Congratulations. Great job.
0:33:56 > 0:33:59Your friends and family are having a great time up there.
0:34:00 > 0:34:12Dannii, you guys kept these five together last week.
0:34:13 > 0:34:25They have proven they have got this together, in two weeks they have had
0:34:26 > 0:34:29one week to pull this together, I did 66 shows of that in Australia
0:34:30 > 0:34:31and we got to rehearse for one month. Well done!
0:34:32 > 0:34:51APPLAUSE Martin, looking very statesman-like
0:34:52 > 0:34:58Danny Zuko! And maybe you could be sandy? Me?
0:34:59 > 0:35:10APPLAUSE This was your best performance by a
0:35:11 > 0:35:18mile! Congratulations! Peter, are you a fan? Grease is the word and I
0:35:19 > 0:35:21have a word, and I know this is live but it is the F word. Fantastic!
0:35:22 > 0:35:28APPLAUSE Gary, that's the last musical
0:35:29 > 0:35:30theatre performance, but there's the pop ballad
0:35:31 > 0:35:44still to come from Drive. Everything they already have done,
0:35:45 > 0:35:49these boys have had an amazing competition, they had been broken up
0:35:50 > 0:35:53and put into a new band, in the bottom two last week. This business
0:35:54 > 0:36:00is about getting back up and keep fighting. And you have done that.
0:36:01 > 0:36:02APPLAUSE Thank you, judges.
0:36:03 > 0:36:11If Drive got your hearts racing and you want to see them in that
0:36:12 > 0:36:13touring musical then vote for them later on.
0:36:14 > 0:37:12One member of Nightfall did not even apply, Julius was nominated by his
0:37:13 > 0:37:22friend to audition. Gary surprised me in London. Will you audition for
0:37:23 > 0:37:25us? Yes! Good job I did not say no! The reaction from me was
0:37:26 > 0:37:32unbelievable, I could not ask for anything better. That was the first
0:37:33 > 0:37:41time I ever allowed myself to show everybody what I was capable of
0:37:42 > 0:37:49doing. Not everything went to plan for the boys. Danny was struck down
0:37:50 > 0:38:04with tonsillitis. I was quite ill, I was on scared and quite scared. You
0:38:05 > 0:38:09are far from your best. Originally, when we were put together, I was
0:38:10 > 0:38:16thinking about the moment but I did not think we would get this far. To
0:38:17 > 0:38:21make it into The Band was crazy. The first performance as Nightfall was a
0:38:22 > 0:38:30very special moment for me because it showed us that we could
0:38:31 > 0:38:34releasing. -- really sing. I never thought I would make it that far and
0:38:35 > 0:38:42I made to the live finals, could not ask for better guys to be doing this
0:38:43 > 0:38:49with. Get off! Watching their journey makes me so proud. We have
0:38:50 > 0:38:54grown so much in the past month, and every single day together. We give
0:38:55 > 0:38:58each other positive energy, we pick a job up, all of those experiences
0:38:59 > 0:39:03come together and I think we have a good shot. We want this!
0:39:04 > 0:39:12APPLAUSE # How could you love me
0:39:13 > 0:39:38and leave me and never. # Girl, each time I try
0:39:39 > 0:39:52I just break down and cry. # This time I want you
0:39:53 > 0:41:36to love me much more. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:41:37 > 0:41:45Wow! Nightfall, everybody. Beautiful.
0:41:46 > 0:41:57Well done. Martin, I have got chills and their
0:41:58 > 0:42:03multiplying... Sorry! Martin, you know your way
0:42:04 > 0:42:12around a pop ballad. This is what they do best. These
0:42:13 > 0:42:20boys are vocally the best in this competition. I want to wish you luck
0:42:21 > 0:42:31with the public vote because you have set this competition and light!
0:42:32 > 0:42:42-- alight. What did you think of them? Fantastic, that. The licensee?
0:42:43 > 0:42:53I would pay twice for that kind of entertainment! -- licensee. That bit
0:42:54 > 0:42:56Blue Planet to shine. Jason was crying!
0:42:57 > 0:42:59Gary, tonight you've seen Nightfall go from upbeat to ballad.
0:43:00 > 0:43:10Brilliantly. I must say, this is the point in the competition to land
0:43:11 > 0:43:22your best performance. We just saw that right there. Absolutely
0:43:23 > 0:43:29brilliant. Dannii? It was everything we wanted. That song, for me, if you
0:43:30 > 0:43:35listen to that over and over, it means so much, you cannot mess that
0:43:36 > 0:43:40up. You all delivered, you were shining. Honestly.
0:43:41 > 0:43:42Do you want it to be Nightfall's night?
0:43:43 > 0:43:45If the answer is yes, then you can vote for them later on.
0:43:46 > 0:44:03You have done all you can. Well done.
0:44:04 > 0:44:09Who wants to be wooed with another ballad?
0:44:10 > 0:44:13If music be the food of love, prepare for a five course banquet.
0:44:14 > 0:44:23Any chance of a prawn cocktail to start?
0:44:24 > 0:44:29Five To Five have avoided having to sing for survival. But will their
0:44:30 > 0:44:35friendship and youthful energy get them to the finish line? The first
0:44:36 > 0:44:40edition was nerve wracking. We would just like students. I'm doing
0:44:41 > 0:44:45physics, mathematics and Theatre studies. I am currently restoring
0:44:46 > 0:44:50classic cars. I Amatrice surgeon, doing this during my gap year. What
0:44:51 > 0:44:58if you get this job? That is going out the window! My mother was very
0:44:59 > 0:45:04over the top when I got through. She is the cutest thing! What if you
0:45:05 > 0:45:08win? I am scared! Performing with Olly Murs was fantastic, you can't
0:45:09 > 0:45:19Take That with you forever. And for Nick. My name is Nick, nice to meet
0:45:20 > 0:45:28you! Why would I say my name? That is funny! I did have tonsillitis
0:45:29 > 0:45:31during the performance, he to me to one side, don't worry, which was
0:45:32 > 0:45:39really nice because I was quite down. He did! It felt amazing
0:45:40 > 0:45:43because we wanted to be on the live show and we did not want this
0:45:44 > 0:45:46experience to end. My first experience with these boys,
0:45:47 > 0:45:54rehearsing and living with them, I have made friends for life. That was
0:45:55 > 0:45:58nice! Allegedly! The first performance was fun and energetic,
0:45:59 > 0:46:05don't tell her about it, that was more classy. The choreography and
0:46:06 > 0:46:13the harmonies were difficult. You were unreal. I want to be in this
0:46:14 > 0:46:20band but I am too old! He is never too old. Gary can join us any day!
0:46:21 > 0:46:21This is a final, this is our time to shine, we have to give it
0:46:22 > 0:46:31everything. Let's do it! # We clawed, we chained,
0:46:32 > 0:46:34our hearts in vain. # We kissed, I fell
0:46:35 > 0:46:42under your spell. # Don't you ever say
0:46:43 > 0:46:50I just walked away. # I can't live a lie,
0:46:51 > 0:46:59running for my life. # All I wanted was
0:47:00 > 0:47:13to break your walls. # And now, we're
0:47:14 > 0:47:34ashes on the ground. # Don't you ever say
0:47:35 > 0:47:37I just walked away. # I can't live a lie,
0:47:38 > 0:47:42running for my life. # All I wanted was
0:47:43 > 0:47:50to break your walls. # Yeah, I just closed
0:47:51 > 0:47:57my eyes and swung. # Left me crouching
0:47:58 > 0:47:59in a blaze and fall. # All I wanted was
0:48:00 > 0:48:33to break your walls. Sub
0:48:34 > 0:49:03APPLAUSE. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE.
0:49:04 > 0:49:07Wow. Five To Five, well done, guys. You did it! Well done.
0:49:08 > 0:49:24CHANTING. This is so hard. If you are at home
0:49:25 > 0:49:28and you like one of these bands phone, you've got to call, don't be
0:49:29 > 0:49:32complaining if the band you like didn't get through. This is the
0:49:33 > 0:49:37winning stage. Dannii, what have you got to say to the guys? You guys are
0:49:38 > 0:49:40in a bubble in your own zone and we all want to be there with you. What
0:49:41 > 0:49:43you do is you simply make people come to the edge of their seat and
0:49:44 > 0:49:55the next thing is, they're up like this. Well done! Martin? You have
0:49:56 > 0:49:59confidence, passion, charisma and friendship. I want to say thank you
0:50:00 > 0:50:12so much for letting us share that. Go on, Martin!
0:50:13 > 0:50:20I want some more of that. Coming up, it's Casualty, it's the same episode
0:50:21 > 0:50:24every week, I want more of this. I'll tell you what, lads, if you
0:50:25 > 0:50:27continue your cards right, you could be singing in holt bi-City in
0:50:28 > 0:50:39another three years, I'll tell you now. -- Holby City. That's enough,
0:50:40 > 0:50:44that's enough! Are you giving Five To Five ten out of ten for that
0:50:45 > 0:50:51performance? If so, details are on screen. The vote will open very
0:50:52 > 0:50:55soon. High fives all round for Five To Five!
0:50:56 > 0:51:03Time for our next band with their romantic ballad.
0:51:04 > 0:51:10It's Drive. It's been a long and winding road for Drive. With nothing
0:51:11 > 0:51:15to lose, are they stronger than ever? When I did the first audition,
0:51:16 > 0:51:19that was the first time that any of my family ever seen me perform. I
0:51:20 > 0:51:28don't know what that expression is on your mother's face. She's my
0:51:29 > 0:51:33favourite person, my biggest fan. I miss the entrance, watch it back, I
0:51:34 > 0:51:50walk into the post. I have a confession. I had a rip up my bum.
0:51:51 > 0:51:53Kaiser Chiefs performed with the boys. You get that first sense of
0:51:54 > 0:51:59bandness don't you, I grew up listening to them. It was awesome.
0:52:00 > 0:52:05They made it to the live show as a band. Conor and Matt were in
0:52:06 > 0:52:09Neonpanda. Both groups collided after they both sang again. Drive
0:52:10 > 0:52:14lost two members, but gained Conor and Matt. We came together as a new
0:52:15 > 0:52:19band and it was a case of walking in and going, right, bang, let's get it
0:52:20 > 0:52:23done. It's such a laugh from day one and we all feel really at home in
0:52:24 > 0:52:29this group. # Girls on film... #
0:52:30 > 0:52:33Natural reaction, you touch his hair and he goes like that. It's all fun
0:52:34 > 0:52:42and games until you are back in the sing-off. This time against Iron
0:52:43 > 0:52:46Son. The boys were looking at another break-up until this
0:52:47 > 0:52:50happened. The relief of making it as a band together to final was
0:52:51 > 0:52:55amazing. Not having the smoothest ride makes you even stronger. We are
0:52:56 > 0:52:58not going through all that to lose. We are going to give it everything
0:52:59 > 0:53:08we have. We have to Drive to it the end and take it home.
0:53:09 > 0:53:11# When your legs don't work like they used to before.
0:53:12 > 0:53:13# And I can't sweep you off of your feet.
0:53:14 > 0:53:17# Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love.
0:53:18 > 0:53:20# Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks.
0:53:21 > 0:53:24# And darling I will be loving you 'til we're 70.
0:53:25 > 0:53:31# And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23.
0:53:32 > 0:53:36# And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways.
0:53:37 > 0:53:48# Oh, me, I fall in love with you every single day.
0:53:49 > 0:54:20# Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars.
0:54:21 > 0:54:24# Place your head on my beating heart.
0:54:25 > 0:54:35# Maybe we found love right where we are.
0:54:36 > 0:55:00# When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades.
0:55:01 > 0:55:04# And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways.
0:55:05 > 0:55:08# Oh, me, I fall in love with you every single day.
0:55:09 > 0:55:26# That maybe we found love right where we are.
0:55:27 > 0:55:45Come on down, guys. Well done. Well done. You've done all you can.
0:55:46 > 0:55:52You've done all you can. That's it. Now, compose. Gary? Thoughts?
0:55:53 > 0:56:01Listen, guys, I think I'm always going to have notes for you vocally.
0:56:02 > 0:56:06There lots of tying up still to do, but within this group the personal
0:56:07 > 0:56:10tying up has been amazing. You have had an amazing competition and I
0:56:11 > 0:56:16want to say thank you for coming and auditioning for us, we've really
0:56:17 > 0:56:22enjoyed you. Dan Dannii, final words for Drive? You brought the nnch that
0:56:23 > 0:56:32you had from last week when doing the sing-off. Jazzie, well done, you
0:56:33 > 0:56:36owned it! Martin, Summer Lovin' happened so fast - no, do you think
0:56:37 > 0:56:43these lads in a theatre could blow the roof off? I absolutely love this
0:56:44 > 0:56:46band. I find them, out of all the bands in this competition, I find
0:56:47 > 0:56:53them most vae Callie interesting because they each have their own
0:56:54 > 0:56:58style. -- vocally. I want to put a word out to Matt, I've enjoyed every
0:56:59 > 0:57:04single thing that you have done during this eight weeks. Finally,
0:57:05 > 0:57:11Peter? I loved it, Graham. I think we are going to deadlock. I do.
0:57:12 > 0:57:16We've got 16. 50 for Robbie's Lourdes trip and I've got me hand
0:57:17 > 0:57:22gel so good luck to you, boys. Good luck. If you are desperate to hitch
0:57:23 > 0:57:27a right on the bandwagon, remember to vote. The voting will open

1:07:13 > 1:07:44APPLAUSE My Lord!
1:07:45 > 1:07:51APPLAUSE That was amazing!
1:07:52 > 1:07:54Ball and Boe, that was incredible and a special thanks
1:07:55 > 1:08:14I am not going to lie. I am quite overcome! Europe boys -- you were
1:08:15 > 1:08:20both moistening up! Does that happen every time? With the memories of
1:08:21 > 1:08:27doing the show, it always gets me. And you have great fun working
1:08:28 > 1:08:43together? Oh, no! Is a dreadful? We literally do not speak! We love that
1:08:44 > 1:08:50you share that with us! I love you! All right!
1:08:51 > 1:08:53Michael, you're a veteran of the West End from Aspects of Love
1:08:54 > 1:09:10What is the best advice to give? Just take care of yourself! I hope
1:09:11 > 1:09:21the boys are listening. Michael Ball and Alfie Boe!
1:09:22 > 1:09:25APPLAUSE They are standing!
1:09:26 > 1:09:28Right, while we all recover from that incredible performance,
1:09:29 > 1:09:30shall we see what happened when we locked Gary, Dannii
1:09:31 > 1:09:43They have been at a desk for eight weeks so to celebrate the final we
1:09:44 > 1:09:48give the judges are so far to relive some of their favourite moments from
1:09:49 > 1:09:51the conditions. This has been one year in the making. Platelet! Martin
1:09:52 > 1:09:57Kemp! APPLAUSE
1:09:58 > 1:10:01This is amazing, I remember the first time I walked out there, it
1:10:02 > 1:10:08was like being back in The Band! Gary Barlow! When Gary Barlow
1:10:09 > 1:10:25arrives! I have never seen women just look above the judging desk! It
1:10:26 > 1:10:34does wonders! How deep is that? He sang through his fingertips. Take my
1:10:35 > 1:10:40four as a very good four. We know what he is scoring! You are finding
1:10:41 > 1:10:54your stride! That was the first show. I have got it, now! Hercules!
1:10:55 > 1:11:04So intense. You could hear the pain in his vocal chords, but standing.
1:11:05 > 1:11:07At the moment, I work in a department store selling perfume to
1:11:08 > 1:11:13rich customers. What are you selling today? You are looking for something
1:11:14 > 1:11:21elegant, sophisticated, Martin wants something quite wooden. I know that
1:11:22 > 1:11:28I was in Eastenders for a while! I love this. I love that dancing
1:11:29 > 1:11:33because I watch this with my son and he adores dancing. Especially break
1:11:34 > 1:11:41dancing. Incredible. Those were the days! More breaking than dancing
1:11:42 > 1:11:48night! I wanted you to sign so great! I would have married you.
1:11:49 > 1:11:58Amber was great, I am so glad we got her. Great fun. # The conversation
1:11:59 > 1:12:04has run dry. They are more nervous and anxious than the people on
1:12:05 > 1:12:05stage. You're not wrong, look at what happened whenever they got
1:12:06 > 1:12:21through! It is not just friends and family
1:12:22 > 1:12:27who gave good reactions. I have never seen her at loss for words
1:12:28 > 1:12:33until he came on. I didn't remember what you asked the! The same old
1:12:34 > 1:12:36thing. He sang, what do you think? When it comes to getting lost in the
1:12:37 > 1:12:51action, the Silver Fox was pure gold! It is great when it is not
1:12:52 > 1:13:01you! Martin! These are brilliant. Now, let's see all of Gary's
1:13:02 > 1:13:13reactions. Sorry, guys. Zero! Emotion? Zero. I am sure you are
1:13:14 > 1:13:20just looping the same shot? I would remember for next time. Poker face!
1:13:21 > 1:13:23We're just minutes away from that exclusive Take That performance
1:13:24 > 1:13:27and revealing who has won Let It Shine.
1:13:28 > 1:13:30Remember, the vote is only open for just over 5 more minutes,
1:13:31 > 1:13:32so make sure you get behind your favourite band
1:13:33 > 1:13:37If you still haven't voted, what are you waiting for?
1:13:38 > 1:13:56Here's a little reminder of all of our performances earlier tonight.
1:13:57 > 1:14:13# Come on, let's go... Everybody got figures. # Visit macro cut Douglas.
1:14:14 > 1:14:29We have come to the End of the Road... Still, I can't let go... It
1:14:30 > 1:14:45is so natural... # You can't stop the motion of the ocean... # You
1:14:46 > 1:15:00Can't Stop the Beat... # I came in like a wrecking ball...
1:15:01 > 1:15:22# Grease is the word... # Grease is the time, is the place... # Take me
1:15:23 > 1:15:50into your loving arms... Look who we are here with, it's
1:15:51 > 1:15:54Nightfall! We have Five To Five! And we have
1:15:55 > 1:16:01Drive. Before we chat, over
1:16:02 > 1:16:03the last few weeks you've picked up a few fans,
1:16:04 > 1:16:15including this one from Right, guys, James cordon here,
1:16:16 > 1:16:19Gary's been keeping me up-to-date with your before manslaughters, I
1:16:20 > 1:16:23wanted to say best of luck, I know you performed with Take That last
1:16:24 > 1:16:29week which has made me incredibly jealous. Best of luck, I can't wait
1:16:30 > 1:16:31to see who makes it in the show, you have all been stars, best of luck.
1:16:32 > 1:16:33Bye! Julius, you're the only boy
1:16:34 > 1:16:40left who was surprised What do you want to say
1:16:41 > 1:16:50to Omari, who nominated you? I would like to say thank you Omari
1:16:51 > 1:16:55for this opportunity. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE.
1:16:56 > 1:16:59Lovely. Enough said. Five To Five, you've literally been
1:17:00 > 1:17:03doing everything together Living together, rehearsing
1:17:04 > 1:17:09together, everything. What's been the best thing
1:17:10 > 1:17:18about this experience? It's just kind of being able to meet
1:17:19 > 1:17:21five different boys from different walks of life that I never would
1:17:22 > 1:17:25have met if I hadn't have been in the show and I think I've grown
1:17:26 > 1:17:27mature as a person and learnt so much from them.
1:17:28 > 1:17:43CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. You have been together in this
1:17:44 > 1:17:50formation for only two weeks. How've you bonded? To be fair, we've bonded
1:17:51 > 1:17:59because literally, like, we're real friends. I hope it shows in our
1:18:00 > 1:18:02performing. We have pulled it together, that's how strong it goes.
1:18:03 > 1:18:07It's not long until we find out which one of you has
1:18:08 > 1:18:24Let's hear it for Nightfall, Five To Five and Drive!
1:18:25 > 1:18:28There's just a couple of minutes left to vote and then it won't be
1:18:29 > 1:18:30long until we reveal which five boys have won that life-changing prize.
1:18:31 > 1:18:37But first, let's find out what awaits the winning band.
1:18:38 > 1:18:43We've seen them sing and dance to stay in the competition, but for the
1:18:44 > 1:18:47boys, the hard work doesn't stop there. They'll be thrown straight
1:18:48 > 1:18:53into rehearsals for their role in new touring musical The Band. The
1:18:54 > 1:18:56show is codirected by Jack Ryder. Tonight, The Band is going to be
1:18:57 > 1:19:00chosen and they are going to tour with us for a whole year. The music
1:19:01 > 1:19:05is going to be an absolute belter. The story is about the lives of five
1:19:06 > 1:19:1016-year-old girls and the band supply the sound track to their
1:19:11 > 1:19:16lives. They'll be on stage eight shows a week for one year. So what
1:19:17 > 1:19:19is life going to be like as part of an all-singing, all-dancing musical?
1:19:20 > 1:19:25Being in a stage show that's going to tour becomes your life. Eight
1:19:26 > 1:19:29shows a week is athletic. They are going to be performing 14 songs in
1:19:30 > 1:19:34one evening. On a Wednesday, they'll have two shows so they'll perform 28
1:19:35 > 1:19:38songs in that one day. They have to hit every single beat of this
1:19:39 > 1:19:42production with absolute precision. It involves choreography, you have
1:19:43 > 1:19:48to sing at the same time, you've got to be fit. Certainly for these lads,
1:19:49 > 1:19:58it's going to be a phenomenal life-changing experience.
1:19:59 > 1:20:05I've just recently done it. I always felt that the Performers save their
1:20:06 > 1:20:08energy for the second show. But that's not true. By the time the
1:20:09 > 1:20:12second show comes around in the evening you are completely
1:20:13 > 1:20:15knackered. You have to look after your body, your voice and your mind.
1:20:16 > 1:20:20The buzz of theatre is that it's live. It's one take. Every time you
1:20:21 > 1:20:25step on a stage, the audience need to feel like it's your very first
1:20:26 > 1:20:30performance. You are right there and you have a thousand people staring
1:20:31 > 1:20:33right at you. You want to see them smiling, laughing, crying. And you
1:20:34 > 1:20:35know what, when you do that and when you do it well, there's nothing that
1:20:36 > 1:20:40can top that in the entire world. Put down your phone,
1:20:41 > 1:20:44step away from your laptops because the vote is,
1:20:45 > 1:20:46cue dramatic pause... Please do not try and vote as it
1:20:47 > 1:20:50won't count and you may be charged. Now, you're probably wondering
1:20:51 > 1:21:05where the judges have gone. Graham is getting a loose permanent.
1:21:06 > 1:21:12There's water dripping in here. My goodness. I hope it doesn't turn
1:21:13 > 1:21:23into a... Flood. Nightmare for loose perms.
1:21:24 > 1:22:01# We will meet you where the lights are.
1:22:02 > 1:22:05# The defenders, of the faith we are.
1:22:06 > 1:22:13# They'll run so hard we'll tear the ground away.
1:22:14 > 1:23:09# Watch your mouth son or you'll find yourself floating home.
1:23:10 > 1:23:29# Will try to strike but now will end today.
1:23:30 > 1:23:37# There's progress now where there once was none.
1:23:38 > 1:23:45# Where there once was none, then everything came along.
1:23:46 > 1:23:57# We were holding back the flood learning how to dance the rain.
1:23:58 > 1:24:06# There was more of them than us now they'll never dance again.
1:24:07 > 1:24:20# There was more of them than us learning how to dance the rain,.
1:24:21 > 1:24:28# We were holding back the flood they said we'd never dance again.
1:24:29 > 1:24:34# We will meet you where the lights are.
1:24:35 > 1:24:38# The defenders, of the faith we are.
1:24:39 > 1:24:44# They'll run so hard we'll tear the ground away.
1:24:45 > 1:25:17# There was more of them than us learning how to dance the rain.
1:25:18 > 1:25:22# There was more of them than us now they'll never dance again.
1:25:23 > 1:26:58First up, Howard, we have to say congratulations
1:26:59 > 1:27:05on the birth of your baby son, Dougie Bear Donald.
1:27:06 > 1:27:31He is doing good, as you can tell by the bags under my eyes. You look
1:27:32 > 1:27:34great. Great. Robbie, what is it like being back with the lads? It
1:27:35 > 1:27:39was and always is very emotional, seeing what it means to everybody.
1:27:40 > 1:27:44Incredible. Very emotional. Proper tears. Only because I'm on telly
1:27:45 > 1:27:50that I'm not welling up. I'm go back to the dressing room and go boo-hoo.
1:27:51 > 1:27:53Mark, you've been watching our boys from the start, what do you think
1:27:54 > 1:28:08What do you make of them? We have got to know them quite well. I feel
1:28:09 > 1:28:13sort of forlorn now, they are all waiting for the result. I'm happy
1:28:14 > 1:28:17for any of them to be on our stage, to be honest. I think all of them
1:28:18 > 1:28:20could do it. Ladies and gentlemen, show your appreciation for Take
1:28:21 > 1:28:30That! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE.
1:28:31 > 1:28:32Thank you very much. That was absolutely epic.
1:28:33 > 1:28:35OK, we're only moments away from finding out which band of five
1:28:36 > 1:28:37boys will win that incredible role of a lifetime.
1:28:38 > 1:28:45But before we do, let's hear one final time from our boys.
1:28:46 > 1:28:54Nightfall being in the final is a dream come true. Everyone's made
1:28:55 > 1:28:58such great bonds. The guys are amazing. We have become close as a
1:28:59 > 1:29:03band and we get along so well and we are strong together. I'd never had
1:29:04 > 1:29:06brothers and now I have four of them. This competition's really
1:29:07 > 1:29:12taught me a lot. It's helped me in more ways than I can imagine.
1:29:13 > 1:29:16Getting the choreography right and performing for Gary Barlow has been
1:29:17 > 1:29:21an amazing experience. Yen Nightfall first performed together, it was the
1:29:22 > 1:29:25best moment of my life. Winning this competition would mean
1:29:26 > 1:29:34so much and that end prize of a role in the musical, it's just so close.
1:29:35 > 1:29:42It's literally a star away now. Two sing-offs has made us stronger,
1:29:43 > 1:29:45fact. It's been well deserved. We put in the bottom two, when you look
1:29:46 > 1:29:49at it, in a way. It's not been straightforward but I wouldn't
1:29:50 > 1:29:52change it. To make the band work, it needs that friendship and the fact
1:29:53 > 1:29:56we have clicked so well makes your life easier. You perform with your
1:29:57 > 1:30:00friends rather than put on an act. Everyone has a part in the band and
1:30:01 > 1:30:04I feel that's why the judges didn't leave anyone out. Starting to see a
1:30:05 > 1:30:08lot of different things with me that I didn't know before and the guys
1:30:09 > 1:30:13are helping me with my confidence an it's great to have that. I don't
1:30:14 > 1:30:20want to sell the ice-creams, I would rather live the dream in a musical
1:30:21 > 1:30:22eight shows a week. Please... I've never experienced anything like
1:30:23 > 1:30:26this before in my life and I've loved every minute of it. When I
1:30:27 > 1:30:30first met the Boyce we were all so different. I didn't know if we'd
1:30:31 > 1:30:37become as close as we have. We love each other. We are a proper group
1:30:38 > 1:30:41and best of friends. After the first performance of oom-bop, we felt like
1:30:42 > 1:30:44a band and that was magical. Performing on stage with Five To
1:30:45 > 1:30:47Five, I can't explain the feeling. We have worked so well together,
1:30:48 > 1:30:53come together and become really good friends. When on stage and the boys
1:30:54 > 1:30:57are behind me, I know they have my back. It's been ultimately the best
1:30:58 > 1:31:00experience of my life and to crown it is winners and send us on that
1:31:01 > 1:31:06tour would just be a dream. We're about to reveal the winner
1:31:07 > 1:31:12of Let it Shine, so let's welcome Now it's time to reveal,
1:31:13 > 1:31:53which band has won Let it Shine and will get that amazing role
1:31:54 > 1:31:56in the musical, The Band. This could be a career
1:31:57 > 1:32:03defining moment. If that star lights up,
1:32:04 > 1:32:11you've won that incredible prize So, for the last time,
1:32:12 > 1:32:20whose star will shine? Bradley, Danny, Huw,
1:32:21 > 1:32:28Jason and Julius from Nightfall? Or Conor, Jazzie, Jonnie,
1:32:29 > 1:34:00Mark and Matt from Drive? Let's hear it for the winning band.
1:34:01 > 1:34:16Five To Five. Well done. Let me lead you out. Let me pull you away. You
1:34:17 > 1:34:29are good! Come over here. Well done, you have made it. Well done. You did
1:34:30 > 1:34:34it! Well done. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
1:34:35 > 1:34:47I am so happy for you, but is terrific. Obviously you are very
1:34:48 > 1:34:53emotional. How didn't feel standing on that star, waiting for it light
1:34:54 > 1:34:58up? That was the most intense moment of our entire lives. I felt like the
1:34:59 > 1:35:06rest of our lives was getting over that... This is it. I hope you like
1:35:07 > 1:35:23each other because you will be spending a lot of time with each
1:35:24 > 1:35:29other. Drive. And Nightfall. You are ten very fine individuals and super
1:35:30 > 1:35:40talented. Please tell me that you will carry on doing what you are
1:35:41 > 1:35:44doing? Yes? Jonnie, Jason? Everyone? This is a ludicrous question, can
1:35:45 > 1:35:54you put in towards how you are feeling? Just so grateful. Thank you
1:35:55 > 1:36:07to everyone who has voted for us. All the best. Anything you have got
1:36:08 > 1:36:10to say? This show has been very interesting, we started with an
1:36:11 > 1:36:15array of fantastic performance, we started here and the performances
1:36:16 > 1:36:19you have given us have been a credible, the friendships that have
1:36:20 > 1:36:23been made, there will be lots of tears after the show but well done,
1:36:24 > 1:36:30you are putting their name out there and go on, we want to see fantastic
1:36:31 > 1:36:42things! Let's hear it for Drive and Nightfall.
1:36:43 > 1:36:53Gary, this is your band. Happy? Of course! A couple of years ago they
1:36:54 > 1:36:56started and I closed my eyes and I wanted a great band. What we have
1:36:57 > 1:37:05here is an incredible band. Well done! Work tomorrow morning! You do
1:37:06 > 1:37:10know that? That is the thing. This is a great moment but there is a lot
1:37:11 > 1:37:15of work ahead? We start work tomorrow, you will be on stage with
1:37:16 > 1:37:24this musical in September in Manchester. Five To Five, starring
1:37:25 > 1:37:31in The Band, which will tour the country. During later this year.
1:37:32 > 1:37:38This has been an incredible series. Massive thanks to the judges, Martin
1:37:39 > 1:37:40Kemp, Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue and the guest judges across the
1:37:41 > 1:37:51series, including Peter Kay. Singing us out in the only way
1:37:52 > 1:37:53they could, it's your # We've had success, good times.
1:37:54 > 1:38:31Remember this... # Just then I realized
1:38:32 > 1:38:34what a fool I could be. # Just 'cause I look so high
1:38:35 > 1:38:37I don't have to see me. # Finding a paradise
1:38:38 > 1:38:39wasn't easy but still. # There's a road going down
