:00:58. > :01:03.everyone is excited. There's the train depot. Across the weekend we

:01:04. > :01:07.have Arctic Monkeys headlines, Blink-182, Paramore and Queens of

:01:08. > :01:21.the Stone Age as well. And this is what else you can expect in the next

:01:22. > :02:03.three That's a good weekend I would say.

:02:04. > :02:07.Yes. Summer is almost done, exams are done, GCSE results done,

:02:08. > :02:10.A-levels done. So many teenagers come here just to have that amazing

:02:11. > :02:16.final weekend of their summer. We are going bring you the best bits of

:02:17. > :02:20.it up until Sunday night. I've been coming here since I was 15 and I

:02:21. > :02:26.haven't stopped. Like likes three whole years! Hudson Taylor is coming

:02:27. > :02:33.up with an acoustic system. Paramore are in the Treehouse right now. How

:02:34. > :02:38.are you feeling? I feel sick. You love them. I love them so much.

:02:39. > :02:43.Paramore are going to be here for a chat in a second. First we are going

:02:44. > :03:14.to the Main Stage from earlier today. This is Deaf Havana.

:03:15. > :03:28.What seems like I miss my friends # End up feeling bad

:03:29. > :03:42.# You made sure I'm still live # Nobody but you

:03:43. > :04:07.# You make me feel this way # Nobody but you makes me feel

:04:08. > :04:43.# Centre between happy and OK # I'm somewhere between happy and OK

:04:44. > :04:49.# Yeah, nobody but you. #Can make me feel this old at 22.

:04:50. > :05:41.Yeah, nobody but you. # Can make me feel this old at 22.

:05:42. > :05:50.# Yeah, nobody but you. # Can make me feel this old at 22.

:05:51. > :06:50.# I know you met the devil once when you were young

:06:51. > :06:56.# You let him in just enough to push you out

:06:57. > :06:59.# You managed 21 years before he talked you round to giving up# We

:07:00. > :07:07.traded knowledge in our fields of expertise.

:07:08. > :07:15.# We parted ways and you gave up on everything

:07:16. > :07:17.# You think it's too hard to leave now?

:07:18. > :07:25.# You always were such a stubborn kid back then

:07:26. > :07:32.# In the room where we spent our days

:07:33. > :07:36.# I remember you told me you threw your father's Jimmy Nail CD

:07:37. > :07:48.# Because I know when you got home

:07:49. > :07:54.# You bent your spine over the back of a kitchen chair

:07:55. > :08:44.# I thought I saw your reflection in the window of a passing car # But

:08:45. > :08:52.# I thought I saw your reflection in the window of a passing car

:08:53. > :09:35.# Because I know when you got home

:09:36. > :09:58.# You bent your spine over the back of a kitchen chair

:09:59. > :10:03.bit of music from the Main Stage. Jen, how excited are you? Pretty

:10:04. > :10:12.excited. We have some guests in the Treehouse I would like to welcome,

:10:13. > :10:14.Paramore! Welcome! Applaud. They're the headliners! As first

:10:15. > :10:19.Paramore! Welcome! Applaud. They're you are not a bad guest for us.

:10:20. > :10:25.Welcome you are not a bad guest for us.

:10:26. > :10:32.your fourth Reading? Yes. It is. It is crazy.

:10:33. > :10:34.your fourth Reading? Yes. It is. It little strange to be at the top. A

:10:35. > :10:37.your fourth Reading? Yes. It is. It little nervous, but we are going to

:10:38. > :10:41.do it right. And sharing the headline spot with Queens of the

:10:42. > :10:49.Stone Age must feel incredible to be up there. Nerves. I'm going to throw

:10:50. > :10:54.up. Are you big Queens fans? Queens of the Stone Age. Seriously, to be

:10:55. > :10:59.on this stage for us is cool. It is different music from what we are

:11:00. > :11:05.part of normally, but to be sandwiched between Vampire Weekend

:11:06. > :11:10.and Queens of Stone Age is really cool. You're music fans and music

:11:11. > :11:16.lovers. Who else on the line-up did you want to see today? The only band

:11:17. > :11:20.I saw today, we rolled up a little bit late today. Tomorrow we'll see

:11:21. > :11:31.more bands. My sister came with me. This is her first trip to England.

:11:32. > :11:37.Our band we grew up listening to is Jimmy Eat World. And Warpaint. They

:11:38. > :11:43.are on tomorrow. The UK loves you as well. This is the only UK date for

:11:44. > :11:48.Paramore this year isn't it? This is the place to see you. We are

:11:49. > :11:54.embarrassed, sorry. Reading and Leeds should feel privileged. You

:11:55. > :11:58.came over here and did the tour when the album first came out and now

:11:59. > :12:04.you've come back especially from the United States. In the middle of the

:12:05. > :12:08.tour. It was like, OK, pause that tour, we've got to go to Reading and

:12:09. > :12:11.Leeds. This is an iconic festival, the one that everyone knows and

:12:12. > :12:18.talks about. What makes it so special? Is it the legacy, is it the

:12:19. > :12:23.bands they keep putting ro on? Definitely the legacy, for sure.

:12:24. > :12:29.Last time we played this was when we played with The Cure. It is a great

:12:30. > :12:33.festival to be a part of. Like I said before, for us to have been

:12:34. > :12:38.able to start small and grow here is a huge deal for us. Tonight it is

:12:39. > :12:42.sort of in a weird way for us playing a show in England it is a

:12:43. > :12:47.homecoming and we get to celebrate the time we've spent here and the

:12:48. > :12:51.fans that have come out almost for the last ten years, and play a

:12:52. > :12:55.massive show. That's why people love Reading and Leeds, because bands

:12:56. > :13:01.realise how big a deal it is and they play a show that's worthy of

:13:02. > :13:04.it. Do you get daunted at the prospect of headlining? What are you

:13:05. > :13:10.going to add to your show tonight to take it to that headlining level? We

:13:11. > :13:16.brought a tonne of production. More than we've ever been able to bring,

:13:17. > :13:21.so we got tonnes of stuff. Keep it quiet on the confetti but we are

:13:22. > :13:25.going to blow everyone away with confetti. We want to make it an

:13:26. > :13:30.experience for the fans as well out there in the crowd and even far back

:13:31. > :13:34.in the crowd. We are going to try to involve as many people as possible,

:13:35. > :13:39.and there's a tonne of people here. It will be a lot of confetti and

:13:40. > :13:44.lights. You said last time you played here, in 2012, you were

:13:45. > :13:49.nervous. Yes. You've toured this album from a year or 18 months,

:13:50. > :13:53.something crazy like that. We are at two years almost at promoting this

:13:54. > :14:00.record and having finished the album. I think we finish the album

:14:01. > :14:04.in October of 2012. It's been a very long cycle but I don't think the

:14:05. > :14:11.nerves have gone away, to be honest with you. Tonight is going to be so

:14:12. > :14:15.cool for us as music fans. As a part of Paramore, which we've been

:14:16. > :14:20.building and growing. This is our life. This is our life's situation.

:14:21. > :14:26.We've made this for the past ten years. Yeah, I'm really nervous. I

:14:27. > :14:31.don't want to screw up tonight. You won't. You won't. I want to find out

:14:32. > :14:36.what makes a band work for such a long period of time. How do you all

:14:37. > :14:41.keep from punching each other and keeping well? Obviously you like

:14:42. > :14:46.each other and like making music. What's the secret of your band? If

:14:47. > :14:50.there was a secret I'm sure a lot of bands would still be together. Are

:14:51. > :14:55.you sure you are asking the right band this question! We stay

:14:56. > :15:00.grounded. We all know none of us are special. We all started off from the

:15:01. > :15:05.same place, so us keeping each other grounded and having the same goals.

:15:06. > :15:09.Even for how important our fan base is. To some other bans that's not

:15:10. > :15:15.necessarily important, and that's their whole thing. Whatever our

:15:16. > :15:19.goals are, we are in unison. Having that and just being friends and

:15:20. > :15:24.making sure that your friendship is more important than the job part of

:15:25. > :15:31.it. It's pretty similar to taking care of a normal friendship,

:15:32. > :15:36.exceptor for you might have to find a -- except you might have to find

:15:37. > :15:40.more space. It's the opposite. To me when a band is fighting, that's a

:15:41. > :15:44.healthy band. It is like what they say about relationships. If you are

:15:45. > :15:50.not communicating and fighting it out, you are not billion yourselves.

:15:51. > :15:54.We've had, you are not being yourselves. We've had to learn that

:15:55. > :16:00.the hard way. You are going to smash it tonight. I cannot wait. Thank you

:16:01. > :16:03.so much Paramore. Thank you. We are going to see some Drenge from

:16:04. > :16:21.earlier, with some flashing lights. # Wanna give up and don't know why

:16:22. > :16:45.# It is # I've never seen blood or milk look

:16:46. > :16:54.so divine # Never seen so much beauty in my

:16:55. > :17:18.life # Get a lift on the last bus home

:17:19. > :17:54.# Get thrown out # These stars above my head

:17:55. > :18:21.# Blue and red blood in my vein s Blackened eyes And a purple nose

:18:22. > :18:28.I've got missing teeth Got a lot of those Oh, Marigold You've never done

:18:29. > :18:32.me no harm Marigold, in debt to you Don't ever wanna say The things I've

:18:33. > :19:56.thought of you Marigold, I wrote you A love

:19:57. > :20:15.# Gotta pull a string # I wanna learn how to sing

:20:16. > :20:21.# Got a racehorse... # I don't know what to do with you.

:20:22. > :21:23.# I don't know what to do with her. I know I've got to defer.

:21:24. > :22:20.# I want to be loved. Don't want to be kissed. I want to be loved.

:22:21. > :22:24.# I want to be loved. Don't want to be left. Look at me cry. I want to

:22:25. > :23:24.be yours. tried to give her my T-shirt and she

:23:25. > :23:31.didn't want it. I'll take the next bit. Out sit quietly on your own and

:23:32. > :23:40.take a moment. So, two boys from Dublin, they make up Hudson Taylor.

:23:41. > :23:44.They announced their debut album is Single for Strangers. This is their

:23:45. > :24:00.debut performance. This is Hudson Taylor.

:24:01. > :24:04.# I was climbing, now I'm falling # I've been pushed off by a man

:24:05. > :24:15.# And I have found a breach in his front line

:24:16. > :24:26.# And I'll play for what he's worth and he will find

:24:27. > :24:34.# I will lift her love and I'll break your spirit

:24:35. > :24:39.# I will dig a hole and I'll throw you in it

:24:40. > :24:45.# Only time will tell if we're all just cynics on the run

:24:46. > :25:01.# If we're all just cynics come undone

:25:02. > :25:05.# I was losing, now we're drawing # I'm not afraid to draw my blood

:25:06. > :25:17.# You raise the flag, I'll tear it down

:25:18. > :25:21.# Though you may have won the battle # But I'll take the fight to you

:25:22. > :25:25.# And your flag is on the ground # And your bones they rattle too

:25:26. > :25:36.# I will lift her love and I'll break your spirit

:25:37. > :25:39.# I will dig a hole and I'll throw you in it

:25:40. > :25:46.# Only time will tell if we're all just cynics on the run

:25:47. > :25:50.# If we're all just cynics come undone

:25:51. > :26:34.# See the truth in my eyes

:26:35. > :26:38.# I will lift her love and I'll break your spirit

:26:39. > :26:42.# I will dig a hole and I'll throw you in it

:26:43. > :26:49.# Only time will tell if we're all just cynics on the run

:26:50. > :26:53.# I will lift her love and I'll break your spirit

:26:54. > :26:57.# I will dig a hole and I'll throw you in it

:26:58. > :27:03.# Only time will tell if we're all just cynics on the run

:27:04. > :27:25.# If we're all just cynics come undone.

:27:26. > :27:30.Not too nerve-racking? Snow no, it was good. Two years ago to the day

:27:31. > :27:38.best eel did their first ever TV in here and look what happened to them.

:27:39. > :27:42.They became stars. So you are on stage today? We had a great crowd.

:27:43. > :27:47.Couldn't believe it. Our first time here. Had a great day. There's lots

:27:48. > :27:53.of stuff you can download from wherever you get your music from,

:27:54. > :28:00.from Hudson Taylor. Their album comes out in February time. Thank

:28:01. > :28:06.you. Thank you for having us. CHEERING ??LINEBR OK. Let's have

:28:07. > :29:20.some Mallory Knox now shall we? Yes. With some flashing lights I think.

:29:21. > :29:33.# Without you, without you # Full throttle, full speed ahead

:29:34. > :30:10.# Only you and I could try # Just try

:30:11. > :30:23.# Full throttle, full speed ahead # My head has had a heart attack

:30:24. > :30:35.# Full throttle, full speed ahead # Without, without you

:30:36. > :31:23.# Just try, just try # Reading make some noise!

:31:24. > :31:40.# Hold your heavy head. Full throttle, full speed ahead.

:31:41. > :31:50.# In my head have a heart attack without you.

:31:51. > :31:59.# It is only you and I. # Just try, just try.

:32:00. > :32:04.That was Mallory Knox from earlier on today. You've had quite the day

:32:05. > :32:10.haven't you? I have! It's been a roller coaster of emotions. Let me

:32:11. > :32:16.try and explain. Paramore, Hayley Williams is one of your obsessions.

:32:17. > :32:21.try and explain. Paramore, Hayley Just for Paramore, I love Paramore.

:32:22. > :32:27.And My Chemical Romance, but unfortunately they split up a couple

:32:28. > :32:33.of years ago. But now Gerrard is playing two tiny shows, one in LA

:32:34. > :32:38.and one last night in Portsmouth. So you got some exclusive time with

:32:39. > :32:42.you? He did his great solo proper performance at Reading this morning.

:32:43. > :32:48.He picked Reading and I had a chat with him. I chatted to some fans and

:32:49. > :32:53.found out what was going on, and I got a little overemotional. I think

:32:54. > :32:56.we should watch that right now. It is the first day here at Reading.

:32:57. > :33:06.Behind me several hundred people are is the first day here at Reading.

:33:07. > :33:11.queuing up to watch Gerrard. Everyone is running. We saw some

:33:12. > :33:14.girl nearly dropping all her bags trying to get there in time.

:33:15. > :33:18.girl nearly dropping all her bags is panic in their eyes that they

:33:19. > :33:21.might miss one second of Gerrard Wade. I'm really excited. We've come

:33:22. > :33:32.to see Gerrard Wade. Red Hair is Wade. I'm really excited. We've come

:33:33. > :33:37.always a winner. I don't think I've ever seen this many people in a

:33:38. > :33:46.crowd at a festival before midday before.

:33:47. > :33:57.CHEERING I love you! I thought the gig was

:33:58. > :34:03.incredible. Totally worth getting up for really early. Worth blagging it

:34:04. > :34:09.for. It is so much different from before with all the black hair and

:34:10. > :34:15.gothic look. Now it is a simple red tie. He is still a punk look. You

:34:16. > :34:19.gothic look. Now it is a simple red could tell it was still Gerrard, but

:34:20. > :34:28.later in the set it did get more Britpopy. There were no my chemical

:34:29. > :34:32.romance songs. Why but pick Reading Festival for the location of the

:34:33. > :34:37.debut show? Really? I have a long history with the festival, but it

:34:38. > :34:43.kinda came down to I needed a finish line. I needed a deadline. If we

:34:44. > :34:48.didn't just do it, the craziest biggest show that we could, I would

:34:49. > :34:53.have spent too much time waiting to get ready, or when's the record

:34:54. > :34:58.coming out? Booking Reading forced everything. How have you felt that

:34:59. > :35:02.the fans have reacted to it on stage. It is different from what you

:35:03. > :35:07.did before. It is different. They reacted amazingly. It was a lot of

:35:08. > :35:11.love. The looks that I saw and the energy I felt, they were happy I was

:35:12. > :35:20.back on stage. That's a nice feeling. I'm glad you got some good

:35:21. > :35:26.time with him. I did. That chat was a lot longer. We had a chat about

:35:27. > :35:32.the Pixies. That was cut. I was proud of that interview. We'll put

:35:33. > :35:37.it on USB for you later. I thought we were friends. You are friends

:35:38. > :35:38.with Paramore and with Gerrard Wade. Let's see Gerrard's set from earlier

:35:39. > :37:08.today. This is us new single, No # Stay free, free, free

:37:09. > :37:19.# Don't wanna go # Cos we don't need no show. We

:37:20. > :38:38.don't need no show. We don't need # She is sweet as battery. Man, I

:38:39. > :38:44.have got nothing. # You kiss an enemy's hands, I got nothing. We got

:38:45. > :39:05.an animal band and that is something.

:39:06. > :39:55.I could somebody. You could be beautiful, too.

:39:56. > :39:59.performance Gerrard Way earlier today, opening the festival. If you

:40:00. > :40:06.want to see the whole of Gerrard's set you can on the Red Button from

:40:07. > :40:10.10.00pm. We have another acoustic performance in the Treehouse. This

:40:11. > :40:15.chap here is responsible for my favourite song of the summer, no

:40:16. > :40:17.question. So, debut in the BBC Three Treehouse, this is the wonderful

:40:18. > :40:40.Bipolar Sunshine. # Let's take a ride, let's get

:40:41. > :40:46.inflated on this air balloon # Look at those people, they ain't

:40:47. > :40:52.with us, they ain't off the fumes # We're pushing on,

:40:53. > :41:00.we're pushing on, we're pushing on # See, down there ain't the type I

:41:01. > :41:08.wanna settle down # I'd rather be lifted, chasing

:41:09. > :41:13.marshmallows, living off the ground # We're pushing on,

:41:14. > :41:20.we're pushing on, we're pushing on # Let's go surfing on this cloud,

:41:21. > :41:25.it's all just milk and honey # Hope that you can stay a while,

:41:26. > :41:29.I know that's what you wanted # So let's do it like that,

:41:30. > :41:41.do it like that # So let's do it like that,

:41:42. > :42:01.do it like that # This place ain't too bad, let me

:42:02. > :42:06.give you the wonderful tour around # Don't worry, anything you want

:42:07. > :42:11.is alL right if it's allowed # We're pushing on,

:42:12. > :42:20.we're pushing on, we're pushing on # Let's go surfing on this cloud,

:42:21. > :42:25.it's all just milk and honey # Hope that you can stay a while,

:42:26. > :42:30.I know that's what you wanted # So let's do it like that,

:42:31. > :42:54.do it like that # Let's go surfing on this cloud,

:42:55. > :43:25.it's all just milk and honey # Hope that you can stay a while,

:43:26. > :43:30.I know that's what you wanted # So let's do it like that,

:43:31. > :43:42.do it like that # So let's do it like that,

:43:43. > :44:08.do it like that # Don't let it in, don't let it in,

:44:09. > :44:18.don't let it in # So let's do it like that,

:44:19. > :44:44.do it like that much. That's Deck chairs On The Moon

:44:45. > :44:51.by Bipolar Sunshine. much. That's Deck chairs On The Moon

:44:52. > :44:56.watched a few bands. Hopefully I will see Paramore later on. I love

:44:57. > :45:02.that song. It is basically sex music. That's what it's talking

:45:03. > :45:07.about. Are you feeling a bit sexy now? Yes, I am aroused. That was
