:10:40. > :10:45.if there's no one? # Lord knows these days

:10:46. > :10:49.they feel so dark alone # They've run after

:12:18. > :12:31.if there's no one? # Where do we turn

:12:32. > :12:38.if there's no one? # Lord knows these days

:12:39. > :13:25.feel so dark alone guy at the front there. Maverick

:13:26. > :13:28.Sabre from earlier on today. More music from here in a second. He's

:13:29. > :13:32.here, let's chat. Welcome to our tree house. Thank you for having me.

:13:33. > :13:39.A beautiful view you've got from up here so thank you for having me. How

:13:40. > :13:45.was your set, your Reading debut? I loved it. You can tell that the

:13:46. > :13:49.crowd you know, are based off a heavy kind of rock foundation from

:13:50. > :13:53.the past, even though they are quite a young crowd, they don't remember

:13:54. > :13:59.that past, they are still loud and excited. As you can tell by the

:14:00. > :14:04.screaming. Let it loose, release it! You were saying they are constantly

:14:05. > :14:09.on the verge of moshing? Yes, they are a young crowd but probably don't

:14:10. > :14:13.remember the days when it was pure rock festivals, it's excitable and a

:14:14. > :14:17.blessing to perform in front of a crowd like that. It's a rarity.

:14:18. > :14:24.There is a lot babies and kids here today. I saw a couple with the

:14:25. > :14:31.little ear must haves on. Glad they started off young -- ear muffs.

:14:32. > :14:36.Glastonbury have yummy mummies going through the mud with their buggies

:14:37. > :14:42.going, we have to get there before it starts. I saw a few babies. In

:14:43. > :14:47.terms of you and the album, we have had a few tracks and it's got Ain't

:14:48. > :14:53.Nobody on there. When is the album out? Should be out early next year

:14:54. > :14:57.hopefully. I've been away for a year-and-a-half, two years. I wanted

:14:58. > :15:01.to take time to experience life and not write songs about being in the

:15:02. > :15:04.back of a cab on the way to a show or on a tour bus, I wanted to

:15:05. > :15:09.experience life and not cheat my fans, you know. I always hike to

:15:10. > :15:14.give my full heart and soul in every bit of music I ever put out and yes,

:15:15. > :15:18.I feel like I've achieved that and understood myself a lot more. I've

:15:19. > :15:23.grown and learned a lot more about myself. While you were away, were

:15:24. > :15:29.you travelling, seeing the world or sat at home on the PlayStation? No,

:15:30. > :15:34.I did quite a lot of travelling, India, South Africa. A friend of

:15:35. > :15:38.mine brought me out there to work on a project out there which changed my

:15:39. > :15:47.life. I spent a bit of time in Jamaica recording and spent a bit of

:15:48. > :15:57.time in New York recording as well. I recorded with someone who is

:15:58. > :16:07.on-the-record who I met in New York. I was in New York with Idris Elba.

:16:08. > :16:14.Some nice friends to have. Yes, Idris Elba is doing an album himself

:16:15. > :16:18.in homage to studying Mandela because he played Mandela in a movie

:16:19. > :16:24.and spent a lot of time in South Africa and around Johannesburg so he

:16:25. > :16:29.brought me and Mr Hodgson out there, to work with South African

:16:30. > :16:32.musicians. Really, it was to write a record to pay homage to the South

:16:33. > :16:36.African people, the homage, the culture, the spirit, Mandela himself

:16:37. > :16:42.and what Idris learnt being out there. It was a spiritual awakening

:16:43. > :16:46.for me. If anyone's worked ever with South African musicians, the purity

:16:47. > :16:49.is something I can't explain as a musician and opened my eyes to a

:16:50. > :16:53.lotthings. You are taking your time with the new record which is a good

:16:54. > :16:57.thing with experiencing these new things. Is it daunting to come to a

:16:58. > :17:00.new festival for you and, when you walk out from the wings hoping

:17:01. > :17:03.people will be there for you, because you have been away for a

:17:04. > :17:10.while and not released an album so it must be daunting to be thinking,

:17:11. > :17:13.oh, will there be anyone there. The weirdest experience was coming back

:17:14. > :17:18.after two years and playing new song force the first time. For the first

:17:19. > :17:21.record ah lot of the songs I'd be playing for years, I'd been

:17:22. > :17:24.performing since I was 13 and 14 years of age in Ireland so we were

:17:25. > :17:29.well trained before the first album came out and doing the songs off

:17:30. > :17:32.that record. It was daunting to come out and do first material but I'm

:17:33. > :17:37.very blessed and honoured that the crowd came out like they did today

:17:38. > :17:40.and at Leeds on Friday. Massive crowd. It was brilliant.

:17:41. > :17:42.Let's take a look at two more songs from you. With flashing lights,

:17:43. > :18:27.thank you, Maverick Sabre. MUSIC:

:18:28. > :19:03.Walk Into The Sun... MUSIC:

:27:01. > :27:03.# I'm not your typical stoned 18-year-old

:27:04. > :27:07.# Give me a night I'll make you # I know you're looking for

:27:08. > :27:13.salvation in secular age # But girl I'm not your saviour

:27:14. > :27:17.# Wrestle to the ground # God help me now

:27:18. > :27:21.# Because they're just girls breaking hearts

:27:57. > :28:02.around? # I said "you, I think you better

:28:03. > :28:06.go, I can't take you" # You just sit and get stoned with

:29:31. > :29:35.It's a nice breeze through. How are you? Nice to see you. Hi, Jen. High,

:29:36. > :29:44.are you all right? Yes. How was Leeds? Mental. It was manic. We are

:46:20. > :47:21.and I kept trying to fight # I said mmm move your left,

:47:22. > :47:23.move your right # Come a little closer

:47:24. > :47:28.if you like the limelight # I want to surround

:47:29. > :47:31.and keep you here in my sight # I said move your left,

:47:32. > :47:33.move your right # Getting abuse

:47:34. > :47:35.cos everyone's taking all their time # They chase and flex the beat,

:47:36. > :47:38.it's on my mind # Moves like that aren't cool,

:47:39. > :47:40.or even crime # Aliente, mezzoforte,

:47:41. > :48:23.allegro or andante # We're rushing now,

:48:24. > :48:29.we're building heat # The doors are open,

:48:30. > :48:32.but the music's in time # Cruising at the speed

:48:33. > :48:36.where where consider # This is Mozart's House

:48:37. > :49:16.a couple of movements ow main stage earlier on and we have

:49:17. > :49:19.them for an interview, well two of them. Welcome. Thank you so much for

:49:20. > :49:23.coming up here. How you doing? Pretty good. Last year was your

:49:24. > :49:30.first Reading in the dance tent. How did it compare to today? They were

:49:31. > :49:36.completely mad, like we had moshing during our second song today and

:49:37. > :49:40.last year as well. We played a song called UK shanty that no-one really

:49:41. > :49:43.knows because it was never released as a single but there was a big

:49:44. > :49:48.Moshe pit. There is not enough Moshing to vie Lynnses, not enough,

:49:49. > :49:53.it's good to see! I like it when, I don't know the name of your band

:49:54. > :49:59.mate, when he plays it like a little guitar. Yes. Your set earlier was

:50:00. > :50:03.insane. The tent was completely rammed. The outskirts became

:50:04. > :50:07.completely rammed and we had to move out of the tent just to be able to

:50:08. > :50:11.dance. Cool. Could you tell how packed it was, seas of people coming

:50:12. > :50:17.in and finding a way to stream into your pit? Yes. It was scary looking

:50:18. > :50:23.out and you see it and it's a huge Hoared of people but it's exciting

:50:24. > :50:29.as well. Obviously it was the dream to as big and as popular but did you

:50:30. > :50:36.imagine this so soon? No. It doesn't feel that soon. We got together like

:50:37. > :50:43.six years ago. We've been working together since then. The soonness

:50:44. > :50:49.doesn't feel that short. We never expected to go to number one or be

:50:50. > :50:53.in the pop charts at all really. Did you think you would ever play a

:50:54. > :50:58.festival like Reading? I don't know. I'd never expected to be doing

:50:59. > :51:04.anything like this at this stage. It's amazing. Did you guys go to

:51:05. > :51:08.festivals when you were growing up, Reading or Leeds? I went to

:51:09. > :51:12.Glastonbury when I was 16. That was my first festival. Yes, me too. We

:51:13. > :51:17.were there at the same time but didn't know each other then. You

:51:18. > :51:21.came to my attention a couple of years ago when I heard the song A

:51:22. > :51:25.and I fell in love with the video and thought, who is this, what is

:51:26. > :51:28.this, it's very different. It was your aim obviously to do something

:51:29. > :51:34.different with pop music and it seems to have gone very, very well.

:51:35. > :51:37.The success of Rather Be, did you ever think, that's a good one, when

:51:38. > :51:43.you wrote that one? It's interesting. One of the first times

:51:44. > :51:48.we played that was at Reading here, we'd been playing it live before we

:51:49. > :51:52.recorded it properly, we were testing it out and I think yes one

:51:53. > :51:56.of the reactions was at Reading and Leeds last year, we thought, oh,

:51:57. > :52:03.yeah, this one is going down quite well, let's record it.

:52:04. > :52:07.Understatement of the year! The song that knocked Pharrell's Happy off

:52:08. > :52:14.the charts. What is coming up next? You have been on the road for for

:52:15. > :52:18.ever? Yes, just more and more. We've got Ibiza rocks this week, then we

:52:19. > :52:23.are off to the States for a month. Then a UK tour and then a European

:52:24. > :52:29.Tour. How is it going in the States, as well as it is here? Yes, it's

:52:30. > :52:36.cool I think. We are getting random updates. Rather Bewas number one on

:52:37. > :52:41.the Shazam charts a couple of weeks ago. It's number four in iTunes or

:52:42. > :52:48.something like that now. Yeah, we are doing our first tour there in

:52:49. > :52:53.September and it's quite exciting. We've been to New York and LA before

:52:54. > :52:58.but nowhere else. We are going to go to San Francisco and Portland and

:52:59. > :53:01.loads places. Amazing. Long may it continue because I'm a big fan and I

:53:02. > :53:10.think it's a really refreshing change to pop music and all the very

:53:11. > :53:15.best! Thank you so much. Thank you. You've been Tweeting while playing?

:53:16. > :53:21.Yes. We have one more song from your set so it feels great to finish off

:53:22. > :53:31.with Rather Be with flashing imagery.

:53:32. > :53:35.# We're a thousand miles from comfort

:53:36. > :53:47.# But as long as you are with me, there's no place I rather be

:53:48. > :53:54.# I would wait forever, exulted in the scene

:53:55. > :54:03.# As long as I am with you, my heart continues to beat

:54:04. > :54:07.# With every step we take, Kyoto to The Bay

:54:08. > :54:15.# We're different and the same, gave you another name

:54:16. > :54:23.# If you gave me a chance I would take it

:54:24. > :54:27.# It's a shot in the dark but I'll make it

:54:28. > :54:30.# Know with all of your heart, you can't shame me

:54:31. > :54:35.# When I am with you, there's no place I rather be

:54:36. > :54:39.# N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I rather be

:54:40. > :54:50.# N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I rather be

:54:51. > :54:58.# We staked out on a mission to find our inner peace

:54:59. > :55:06.# Make it everlasting so nothing's incomplete

:55:07. > :55:14.# It's easy being with you, sacred simplicity

:55:15. > :55:22.# As long as we're together, there's no place I rather be

:55:23. > :55:26.# With every step we take, Kyoto to The Bay

:55:27. > :55:34.# We're different and the same, gave you another name

:55:35. > :55:42.# If you gave me a chance I would take it

:55:43. > :55:46.# It's a shot in the dark but I'll make it

:55:47. > :55:50.# Know with all of your heart, you can't shame me

:55:51. > :55:54.# When I am with you, there's no place I rather be

:55:55. > :56:02.# N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I rather be

:56:03. > :56:21.# When I am with you, there's no place I rather be

:56:22. > :56:26.# Yeah-e-yeah-e-yeah-e-yeah-e-yeah, yeah, yeah

:56:27. > :56:29.# If you gave me a chance I would take it

:56:30. > :56:37.# It's a shot in the dark but I'll make it

:56:38. > :56:49.# N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I there's no place I rather be

:56:50. > :57:04.# N-n-n-no, no, no, no place I rather be. #

:57:05. > :57:31.Clean Bandit on the Radio 1 NME stage. I spat then. The house that

:57:32. > :57:37.bought them all a new house. A song. Kenny says got goose bumps watching

:57:38. > :57:42.them, wish I was there. A text from my mum, really like Clean Bandit.

:57:43. > :57:45.Like in capitals, emphasis on like from Lesley Long. There you go. Emmy

:57:46. > :57:48.says I love 1975 and from Lesley Long. There you go. Emmy

:57:49. > :57:54.says I love Clean Bandit and everyone else. I think my heart

:57:55. > :57:56.might explode. We are back in a few minutes with You Me At Six and Saint

:57:57. > :58:05.Raymond. Do not go anywhere! Here's the latest in the world

:58:06. > :58:10.of sport. Man United are still looking

:58:11. > :58:12.for their first Premier League win Jack Rodwell headed

:58:13. > :58:20.in the Sunderland equaliser. Stoke were helped by goal line

:58:21. > :58:24.technology in the early kick-off.
