0:00:02 > 0:00:05This week, I'm in West Sussex for a fusion of festival and faith.
0:00:05 > 0:00:07The bands are warming up,
0:00:07 > 0:00:10everyone's preparing for the crowds that are going to descend
0:00:10 > 0:00:13on this area very shortly because it is
0:00:13 > 0:00:15the biggest Christian gathering in Europe.
0:00:15 > 0:00:17This is the Big Church Day Out.
0:00:21 > 0:00:25I'm going to be backstage, onstage and in amongst the crowd here,
0:00:25 > 0:00:28to capture the atmosphere of this giant family get-together
0:00:28 > 0:00:31of Christians from across the UK.
0:00:31 > 0:00:34I'm also going to be enjoying the music
0:00:34 > 0:00:38and company of some of the biggest names in global Christian music.
0:00:40 > 0:00:43And from festival to festive, later in the programme,
0:00:43 > 0:00:46I'll be joining our art experts to decide the ten winners
0:00:46 > 0:00:51of our Christmas card competition in aid of BBC Children In Need.
0:00:51 > 0:00:54- I like that! - Yes, I like that.- Yeah, I like that!
0:00:56 > 0:00:59And to mark the Queen's official 90th birthday,
0:00:59 > 0:01:03Pam celebrates with 90 of Her Majesty's peers in Gloucestershire.
0:01:12 > 0:01:15Well, as the first performers here prepare to take to the stage,
0:01:15 > 0:01:17it's time for our opening hymn.
0:01:17 > 0:01:20And just to prove that festivals are nothing new,
0:01:20 > 0:01:23this iconic tune was commissioned for a Baptist festival
0:01:23 > 0:01:26of song in South Wales over a century ago.
0:01:26 > 0:01:29And legend has it that its composer, John Hughes,
0:01:29 > 0:01:33wrote the score using chalk and a tarpaulin.
0:04:28 > 0:04:32ELECTRONIC MUSIC PLAYS
0:04:34 > 0:04:37Big Church Day Out is in its eighth year.
0:04:37 > 0:04:42It's the brainchild of Tim Jupp from the '90s band Delirious.
0:04:43 > 0:04:46It's overwhelming every year to see so many people turn up.
0:04:46 > 0:04:48I think people just love being together.
0:04:48 > 0:04:51We often hear a story about the church being in decline
0:04:51 > 0:04:55and it feels like sometimes it's almost on its last legs.
0:04:55 > 0:04:58And I think, you know, there is a different story to tell
0:04:58 > 0:05:02because the church is very much alive.
0:05:02 > 0:05:05I usually find it really encouraging to see this many people
0:05:05 > 0:05:07in one place, all here for the same purpose,
0:05:07 > 0:05:09and that's to worship our Lord.
0:05:12 > 0:05:15There's just so many types of different people here.
0:05:15 > 0:05:17We're all getting on the same page.
0:05:17 > 0:05:19Different ages, you know, different people, groups,
0:05:19 > 0:05:22different streams of the church, different expressions of the church,
0:05:22 > 0:05:26- but we're all gathering in this one place in the thousands...- Uh-huh.
0:05:26 > 0:05:28..and we're becoming a big choir together. I love it.
0:05:28 > 0:05:34DRUMS PLAY UPBEAT RHYTHM
0:05:34 > 0:05:36I've met someone with an even better laugh than me.
0:05:36 > 0:05:39HE LAUGHS It's Andy!
0:05:39 > 0:05:40Andy, what is it you're doing here?
0:05:40 > 0:05:43Well, essentially, we are worshipping here.
0:05:43 > 0:05:45That's the main thing we're doing.
0:05:45 > 0:05:48You're praying, you're in the midst of people.
0:05:48 > 0:05:53- The drums are like a prayer and the flags are a declaration.- Mm-hm.
0:05:53 > 0:05:56A declaration of God's goodness, so...
0:05:56 > 0:05:59- It's not a bad way to spend your day, is it?- It's fantastic!
0:06:04 > 0:06:09This stunning tree has been turned into a prayer tree this weekend.
0:06:09 > 0:06:13It's always a lovely moment, isn't it, to just pause and reflect
0:06:13 > 0:06:17on things in and amongst all the fun that's going on here?
0:06:17 > 0:06:21I think it's just amazing to see what God's up to in the church
0:06:21 > 0:06:26today and, I think, to be part of that is always a humbling thing.
0:06:26 > 0:06:30It's a privilege to be in the mix of what's going on.
0:06:31 > 0:06:33And so, we love the music, we love the bands,
0:06:33 > 0:06:37but more than anything, we love the worship that goes on here.
0:06:39 > 0:06:44# Who breaks the power of sin and darkness?
0:06:44 > 0:06:49# Whose love is mighty and so much stronger?
0:06:49 > 0:06:54# The King of Glory The King above all kings
0:06:59 > 0:07:04# Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder?
0:07:04 > 0:07:08# Who leaves us breathless in awe and wonder?
0:07:08 > 0:07:14# The King of Glory The King above all kings... #
0:07:14 > 0:07:19Here we go! # This is amazing grace
0:07:21 > 0:07:24# This is unfailing love
0:07:26 > 0:07:29# That you would take my place
0:07:31 > 0:07:34# That you would bear my cross
0:07:36 > 0:07:39# You lay down your life
0:07:41 > 0:07:45# That I would be set free
0:07:47 > 0:07:53# Oh, Jesus, I sing for All that you've done for me... #
0:07:53 > 0:07:58England! CHEERING
0:07:58 > 0:08:01# Worthy is the lamb who was slain
0:08:02 > 0:08:07# Worthy is the king who conquered the grave
0:08:07 > 0:08:11# Worthy is the lamb who was slain
0:08:12 > 0:08:16# Worthy is the king who conquered the grave
0:08:17 > 0:08:22# Worthy is the lamb who was slain
0:08:22 > 0:08:27# Worthy is the king who conquered the grave
0:08:27 > 0:08:30# Worthy is the lamb who was slain
0:08:30 > 0:08:35# Worthy, worthy, worthy, oh
0:08:35 > 0:08:38- # This is amazing CROWD:- # Grace
0:08:39 > 0:08:43# This is unfailing love
0:08:44 > 0:08:47# That you would take my place
0:08:49 > 0:08:52# That you would bear my cross
0:08:54 > 0:08:57# You lay down your life
0:08:59 > 0:09:03# That I would be set free
0:09:06 > 0:09:11# Oh, Jesus, I sing for all that you've done for me. #
0:09:13 > 0:09:16That was American singer-songwriter, Phil Wickham,
0:09:16 > 0:09:18performing on the festival Main Stage.
0:09:19 > 0:09:23Big Church Day Out has something for everyone - young, not so young,
0:09:23 > 0:09:27music lovers and families - they are all here.
0:09:27 > 0:09:30But recently, Pam was invited to a church celebration
0:09:30 > 0:09:34in Gloucestershire that had a rather more exclusive guest list.
0:09:38 > 0:09:41BAND PLAYS HAPPY BIRTHDAY
0:09:42 > 0:09:45This weekend marks the culmination of three months of celebrating
0:09:45 > 0:09:50the 90th birthday of the Queen, a woman who so perfectly represents
0:09:50 > 0:09:52her remarkable generation,
0:09:52 > 0:09:56who have seen so much change and challenge over their long lives.
0:09:56 > 0:10:00So, I've come here to join the congregation of St Mary's Church
0:10:00 > 0:10:02in Thornbury
0:10:02 > 0:10:04as they pay tribute, not just to the achievements of the Queen,
0:10:04 > 0:10:09but to 90 of their own Gloucestershire nonagenarians
0:10:09 > 0:10:11during nine decades of life.
0:10:11 > 0:10:17# Long to reign over us
0:10:17 > 0:10:21# God save the Queen. #
0:10:22 > 0:10:25The service was the idea of Dame Janet Trotter,
0:10:25 > 0:10:27the Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire,
0:10:27 > 0:10:30the Queen's personal representative in the county.
0:10:30 > 0:10:35Well, my aims were very much to involve the local community,
0:10:35 > 0:10:38so we've gone out across South Gloucestershire and invited people
0:10:38 > 0:10:42from every parish, and of course, 90 90-year-olds!
0:10:42 > 0:10:46And I think this year, when the Queen is 90, we can put
0:10:46 > 0:10:51a particular spotlight on them and recognise all that they have done.
0:10:51 > 0:10:53You know, they are a feisty generation.
0:10:53 > 0:10:55Every time I see them, I think, "Crumbs!"
0:10:55 > 0:10:57You know, they are just fantastic.
0:10:57 > 0:11:02The light and peace of Jesus Christ be with you...
0:11:02 > 0:11:05The service was devised by Thornbury Parish Church's vicar,
0:11:05 > 0:11:07the Rev Dr Jan van de Lely.
0:11:07 > 0:11:10Well, the service is about community service
0:11:10 > 0:11:14because that's so important in Christianity.
0:11:14 > 0:11:18Jesus lived a life of service and he died for us
0:11:18 > 0:11:20and, in fact, one of the readings is about how
0:11:20 > 0:11:23he washed his disciples' feet the night before he died,
0:11:23 > 0:11:26and he was demonstrating he was there to serve them,
0:11:26 > 0:11:28and that was his example to us.
0:11:28 > 0:11:34So if I, your Lord and teacher, have washed your feet,
0:11:34 > 0:11:39you also ought to wash one another's feet.
0:11:39 > 0:11:43That picture of servant leadership is what the Queen really stands for.
0:11:43 > 0:11:47She has lived that out throughout her years as our monarch.
0:11:47 > 0:11:50THEY SING
0:11:55 > 0:11:58In today's congregation, we've got the whole span of ages,
0:11:58 > 0:12:03from the 90-year-olds right down to the youngest children,
0:12:03 > 0:12:06and the children are really important in the service
0:12:06 > 0:12:10because we want them to see those older people
0:12:10 > 0:12:12and to recognise what they've achieved
0:12:12 > 0:12:15and to learn to respect them and, of course,
0:12:15 > 0:12:20to follow in their fantastic example of living lives of service as well.
0:12:20 > 0:12:22Tell me about the pebbles.
0:12:22 > 0:12:26So, the pebbles are a symbolic act,
0:12:26 > 0:12:30so that everybody in the church, whatever age,
0:12:30 > 0:12:34will contribute a pebble, and that pebble will represent
0:12:34 > 0:12:38their contribution to the health of the community.
0:12:40 > 0:12:42I asked a few of the 90-year-olds
0:12:42 > 0:12:45what they thought of the Queen and the service today.
0:12:45 > 0:12:47I think she's wonderful.
0:12:47 > 0:12:50I think she's a tremendous example to all of us.
0:12:50 > 0:12:52If we could only be like her, it would be wonderful.
0:12:52 > 0:12:54I don't know how she does it.
0:12:54 > 0:12:58To be... To be invited, as I am,
0:12:58 > 0:13:00it's an honour, really.
0:13:00 > 0:13:01I liked it.
0:13:01 > 0:13:03The seats are a bit hard!
0:13:05 > 0:13:08I should bring a cushion next time.
0:13:08 > 0:13:11So, throughout long years of war and peace,
0:13:11 > 0:13:15of hardship and prosperity, the Queen's generation have
0:13:15 > 0:13:18worked with faith and friendship to bring up their families
0:13:18 > 0:13:21and build communities, and it's those years
0:13:21 > 0:13:24we remember now in a hymn from the prolific modern-day writer,
0:13:24 > 0:13:26Timothy Dudley-Smith,
0:13:26 > 0:13:30who, later this year, will be celebrating his own 90th birthday.
0:16:11 > 0:16:14Music is often a large part of Christian worship
0:16:14 > 0:16:17and it's no different here at the Big Church Day Out.
0:16:17 > 0:16:19But, as well as being a lot of fun,
0:16:19 > 0:16:22it does have that special power to lift the spirit,
0:16:22 > 0:16:27comfort us in times of need and, of course, help us to feel connected.
0:16:29 > 0:16:33At our church, we sing some of the hefty hymns - we love that
0:16:33 > 0:16:36at our church - but I really love the modern praise as well.
0:16:36 > 0:16:39You can see just, sort of, Jesus breaking into people's hearts,
0:16:39 > 0:16:41people getting touched, you know, crying,
0:16:41 > 0:16:44and it's just lovely. It's just wonderful to be here.
0:16:44 > 0:16:46I think, when you go to a music festival,
0:16:46 > 0:16:49you can almost worship the band, you can worship the artist,
0:16:49 > 0:16:52whereas here, you're worshipping God.
0:16:55 > 0:16:58For Donna Francis, Big Church Day Out's fusion of faith
0:16:58 > 0:17:00and music has had a big impact.
0:17:01 > 0:17:04I have a very rare condition, so I have a lot of pain,
0:17:04 > 0:17:06I've had to have a lot of operations,
0:17:06 > 0:17:10but I think that having faith in God has given me someone to go to,
0:17:10 > 0:17:14someone to pray to and I know that God's always there,
0:17:14 > 0:17:16he's always right beside me and I'm never alone.
0:17:16 > 0:17:20There is a song by Matt Redman and this is a song very special
0:17:20 > 0:17:23to my heart because I was about 15,
0:17:23 > 0:17:28and when that music was played I really felt touched by God,
0:17:28 > 0:17:31and I believe that I received some healing from God -
0:17:31 > 0:17:35an overwhelming sense of peace that you just can't explain,
0:17:35 > 0:17:38and it has to be God, it can't be anything else.
0:17:38 > 0:17:42# When the music fades
0:17:42 > 0:17:45# And all is stripped away
0:17:45 > 0:17:48# And I simply come
0:17:52 > 0:17:55# Longing just to bring
0:17:55 > 0:17:58# Something that's of worth
0:17:58 > 0:18:03# That will bless your heart, my God
0:18:05 > 0:18:08# And I'll bring you more than a song
0:18:08 > 0:18:11# For a song in itself
0:18:11 > 0:18:15# Is not what you have required
0:18:18 > 0:18:21# You search much deeper within
0:18:21 > 0:18:24# Through the way things appear
0:18:24 > 0:18:28# You're looking into my heart
0:18:31 > 0:18:37# I'm coming back to the heart of worship
0:18:37 > 0:18:40# And it's all about you
0:18:40 > 0:18:44# It's all about you, Jesus
0:18:44 > 0:18:50# I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
0:18:50 > 0:18:54# When it's all about you
0:18:54 > 0:18:58# It's all about you, Jesus
0:18:58 > 0:19:03# I'm coming back to the heart of worship
0:19:03 > 0:19:06# And it's all about you
0:19:06 > 0:19:08# It's all about you
0:19:08 > 0:19:11# It's all about you, Jesus
0:19:11 > 0:19:17# I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
0:19:17 > 0:19:20# When it's all about you
0:19:20 > 0:19:25# It's all about you, Jesus. #
0:19:30 > 0:19:34I feel like I need to get in the mood for this next feature.
0:19:34 > 0:19:36Cue the snow machine!
0:19:37 > 0:19:39We have been inundated with your designs for
0:19:39 > 0:19:42our Christmas card competition in aid of BBC Children In Need,
0:19:42 > 0:19:45so thank you so much if you entered.
0:19:45 > 0:19:50Time now to reveal the ten designs that will make up
0:19:50 > 0:19:53our Songs Of Praise Christmas card pack -
0:19:53 > 0:19:56hitting the shelves nationwide from September.
0:19:59 > 0:20:02Over the last few weeks, Team Songs Of Praise,
0:20:02 > 0:20:05under the watchful eye of Pudsey, has been shortlisting
0:20:05 > 0:20:10your wonderfully varied Christmas card designs, ready for the judges.
0:20:20 > 0:20:24Joining me to cast an expert eye over the entries are
0:20:24 > 0:20:26BBC arts editor Will Gompertz,
0:20:26 > 0:20:29and actress and accomplished water-colourist Una Stubbs.
0:20:29 > 0:20:33I'm hoping to see today cards obviously that I like
0:20:33 > 0:20:37and I can see some ones that really, really appeal.
0:20:37 > 0:20:40Super simple and wow!
0:20:40 > 0:20:42'I just like something which is,
0:20:42 > 0:20:44' "Oh, my goodness, I wasn't expecting that!" '
0:20:44 > 0:20:47Maybe something which is comic, or it could be serious,
0:20:47 > 0:20:50but definitely unusual.
0:20:53 > 0:20:55This is pretty good, isn't it?
0:20:55 > 0:20:58- Josie, don't you think? - Yeah, I do, I love that one.
0:20:58 > 0:21:03To me, Christmas cards are one of the best things about Christmas.
0:21:03 > 0:21:05You get a card from someone
0:21:05 > 0:21:08you haven't spoken to for a year - "Aww! Aww!"
0:21:08 > 0:21:09SHE CHUCKLES
0:21:09 > 0:21:11- I really like this arrangement.- Oh!
0:21:11 > 0:21:13"And the greatest of these is love" -
0:21:13 > 0:21:15obviously a very Christmassy sentiment.
0:21:15 > 0:21:17And you've got the boxes and the gold.
0:21:17 > 0:21:19But, actually, I really like the typography.
0:21:19 > 0:21:20Yeah, this is one of my favourites.
0:21:20 > 0:21:23I probably shouldn't say just yet, but, yeah,
0:21:23 > 0:21:24I like the typography as well.
0:21:24 > 0:21:27- I like that.- Yes, I like that. - I like that.
0:21:27 > 0:21:29Because music is such a beautiful thing,
0:21:29 > 0:21:31and certainly very much part of Christmas,
0:21:31 > 0:21:34- and that's just a very elegant representation.- It is.
0:21:37 > 0:21:41- Good use of colour.- Yes. - And, again, nice arrangement.
0:21:41 > 0:21:44I think this artist has done Christmas cards before.
0:21:44 > 0:21:46- Very professional.- Yeah.
0:21:48 > 0:21:51Well, I think we are spoilt for choice, aren't we, really?
0:21:51 > 0:21:52Absolutely.
0:21:52 > 0:21:56But we do have to decide, so what I've got for you is ten pegs
0:21:56 > 0:21:59- with love hearts on them, appropriately, each...- Oh!
0:21:59 > 0:22:02..and now it's time for you to just wander around in your own time
0:22:02 > 0:22:06- and put these pegs on the ten that you're most fond of.- OK.
0:22:10 > 0:22:14You have to capture the spirit of Christmas in this image
0:22:14 > 0:22:19and to communicate that sentiment in a single image is quite tricky.
0:22:21 > 0:22:24I'm looking for cards that catch your eyes,
0:22:24 > 0:22:27when you see a row of them and you think, "Why did that catch my eye?"
0:22:27 > 0:22:29But it did. Or it grabs you somewhere.
0:22:31 > 0:22:36It's been fantastic because the standard is so high,
0:22:36 > 0:22:41the variety so wide and the messages so sincere,
0:22:41 > 0:22:44I just find the whole thing rather moving, actually.
0:22:46 > 0:22:47I've really, really enjoyed it.
0:22:47 > 0:22:49I love looking at art anyway
0:22:49 > 0:22:52and I think there's some really good art here -
0:22:52 > 0:22:54better than I ever imagined - it's very good!
0:22:54 > 0:22:57If we've done our job well, I think
0:22:57 > 0:23:01we've curated an amazing pack of ten Christmas cards,
0:23:01 > 0:23:06which should sell millions, to the benefit of Children In Need.
0:23:08 > 0:23:11Later in the programme, we will reveal our final ten designs,
0:23:11 > 0:23:14but if you did send one in, thank you so much.
0:23:14 > 0:23:15Absolutely brilliant to see
0:23:15 > 0:23:19so many different expressions of what Christmas means to you.
0:23:19 > 0:23:23One image that has always been popular on Christmas cards
0:23:23 > 0:23:26is the candle - for Christians, a reminder that
0:23:26 > 0:23:30whatever the time of year, Jesus is the light of the world.
0:25:30 > 0:25:33- MUSIC PLAYING - ..to go absolutely bonkers!
0:25:33 > 0:25:37Big Church Day Out caters for all music tastes.
0:25:37 > 0:25:40Mobo award-winning rap artist Guvna B is here
0:25:40 > 0:25:42for the eighth year running.
0:25:42 > 0:25:46- Guvna B, welcome to Songs Of Praise. - Thank you.
0:25:46 > 0:25:48- About time we had you on here, I feel!- I know, man!
0:25:48 > 0:25:51This year was amazing for me. I grew up with this programme.
0:25:51 > 0:25:54- It's quite cool to be on it. - It's cool for us, too!
0:25:54 > 0:25:58Now, you use rap music to get your message across,
0:25:58 > 0:26:03but as an art form, it's not always associated with positive things.
0:26:03 > 0:26:08Yeah, definitely. I think it is often associated with violence,
0:26:08 > 0:26:11misogyny, but there's tonnes of artists, not just me,
0:26:11 > 0:26:14that are using rap as a way to really inspire people.
0:26:14 > 0:26:17# What can wash away my sins? #
0:26:17 > 0:26:22I think my main kind of mission is to encourage people that God
0:26:22 > 0:26:27has created all these different ways to worship him
0:26:27 > 0:26:32and I'm using rap music as a way to inspire everyone that God has given
0:26:32 > 0:26:37them a purpose, a hope, a future, and we can share that through music.
0:26:37 > 0:26:40Something I and I think a lot of people will find very encouraging
0:26:40 > 0:26:44is your personal testimony of how you came to the faith.
0:26:44 > 0:26:47We were on a small council estate in East London.
0:26:47 > 0:26:51Home and church, it was amazing, but on the estate,
0:26:51 > 0:26:53I was being pulled in a different direction.
0:26:53 > 0:26:56But when I was about 15, me and a few friends were playing
0:26:56 > 0:26:58football in the playground at school,
0:26:58 > 0:27:01about six of us in the playground, pouring down with rain
0:27:01 > 0:27:03and out of nowhere, a massive lightning bolt struck
0:27:03 > 0:27:06the middle of the playground and we all kind of fell to the floor.
0:27:06 > 0:27:08But in the middle of the playground
0:27:08 > 0:27:10was a good friend of mine, Izzy, and he was unconscious,
0:27:10 > 0:27:12and they just couldn't get him breathing,
0:27:12 > 0:27:16so he got rushed to hospital and was put on an intensive care machine.
0:27:16 > 0:27:19For me, I just couldn't think of anything else to do
0:27:19 > 0:27:23but to run to God and, thankfully, for me and my friends
0:27:23 > 0:27:26and all the people we knew, God came through and healed him,
0:27:26 > 0:27:28and it just inspired me that, you know what,
0:27:28 > 0:27:30I don't just want a saviour for the difficult times,
0:27:30 > 0:27:34but whenever there is trouble or difficult situations,
0:27:34 > 0:27:37or I need an answer to prayer, he is the first one I run to.
0:27:37 > 0:27:39Well, we're going to hear one of your tunes now.
0:27:39 > 0:27:42- Can you tell us about it? - So, this is Nothing But The Blood.
0:27:42 > 0:27:44As I said, I grew up as a Christian and this has always been
0:27:44 > 0:27:48my favourite hymn, and I wanted loads of people to hear it, but not
0:27:48 > 0:27:51everyone loves hymns as much as I do, so I thought, "You know what?
0:27:51 > 0:27:54"I'm going to do a rap version". And this was the result!
0:27:54 > 0:27:56# No other fount I know
0:27:56 > 0:27:58# Nothing but the blood of Jesus
0:27:58 > 0:28:01# Yo, me and Adam, man, we've really got to have words
0:28:01 > 0:28:04# I'm sorry, brother, but I heard you made it all worse
0:28:04 > 0:28:05# I'm stuck, I don't know what works
0:28:05 > 0:28:07# I know it ain't all your fault
0:28:07 > 0:28:08# You're as flawed as me
0:28:08 > 0:28:11# I know what it's like when I let Satan talk to me
0:28:11 > 0:28:12# And though I've read all these books
0:28:12 > 0:28:14# And I've read all these verses
0:28:14 > 0:28:17# Why when I progress do I get caught reversing?
0:28:17 > 0:28:20# I'm keeping it moving, trying to find your grace
0:28:20 > 0:28:23# I just feel like in my life, I've made so many mistakes
0:28:23 > 0:28:25# What can wash away my sins?
0:28:25 > 0:28:28# Nothing but the blood of Jesus
0:28:28 > 0:28:32# What can make me whole again?
0:28:32 > 0:28:35# Nothing but the blood of Jesus
0:28:35 > 0:28:37# Oh, precious is the flow
0:28:37 > 0:28:41# That makes me white as snow
0:28:41 > 0:28:43# No other fount I know
0:28:43 > 0:28:45# Nothing but the blood of Jesus
0:28:45 > 0:28:48# They think I'm crazy
0:28:48 > 0:28:50# And they don't understand where I've been lately
0:28:50 > 0:28:53# I've been battling myself, but can he save me?
0:28:53 > 0:28:55# I put my faith up on that shelf and yeah, it changed me
0:28:55 > 0:28:57# You could tell that I've been lazy
0:28:57 > 0:28:59# It's the world that I was craving
0:28:59 > 0:29:02# But then I had a dream
0:29:02 > 0:29:04# He told me life ain't even always what it seems
0:29:04 > 0:29:06# Cos every test is a lesson
0:29:06 > 0:29:10# Every lesson is a blessing if you choose to see the message
0:29:10 > 0:29:12# What can wash away my sin?
0:29:12 > 0:29:16# Nothing but the blood of Jesus
0:29:16 > 0:29:18# What can make me whole again?
0:29:18 > 0:29:21# Nothing but the blood of Jesus
0:29:21 > 0:29:24# Oh, precious is the flow
0:29:24 > 0:29:27# That makes me white as snow
0:29:27 > 0:29:30# No other fount I know
0:29:30 > 0:29:32# Nothing but the blood of Jesus
0:29:32 > 0:29:34# And so I'm here
0:29:34 > 0:29:37# And I'm still standing by his grace, it disappeared
0:29:37 > 0:29:40# All of my failures, all my shame, now I see clear
0:29:40 > 0:29:43# And that's because no other name has brought me near
0:29:43 > 0:29:46# And I can't wait to see his face, I'm pressing on
0:29:46 > 0:29:49# All my mistakes, they are erased and now I'm strong
0:29:49 > 0:29:52# It's like the judge has closed the case, I can't move on
0:29:52 > 0:29:54# And yeah, I've moved from place to place
0:29:54 > 0:29:55# But now I've found where I belong...
0:29:55 > 0:29:57# Wave your hands with me
0:29:57 > 0:29:59# It was the blood, it was the blood of Jesus
0:29:59 > 0:30:01# He saved us all!
0:30:01 > 0:30:03# It was the blood... #
