:00:00. > 3:59:59seen across the United States a couple of hours ago, in ABC World

:00:00. > :00:14.News with Dianne Sawyer. Welcome to ABC World News tonight.

:00:15. > :00:18.The moment of impact, the skies darken and a twister hits. Roofs

:00:19. > :00:23.ripped away, we are tracking the threat into the night. A terror

:00:24. > :00:31.warning, Al Qaeda trying to make bombs disguised of everyday items,

:00:32. > :00:35.to travel undetected on planes. `` disguised as everyday items. Where

:00:36. > :00:39.are you most stressed, at home or work? Surprising results tonight,

:00:40. > :00:44.and what you can do about it right now.

:00:45. > :00:48.Good evening to you on Tuesday night, we come on the air with

:00:49. > :00:52.threatening skies and rising waters, in parts of the country. This

:00:53. > :00:56.afternoon, a tornado touched down near Indianapolis. It through a

:00:57. > :01:00.camper van into a home. At the same time, in another part of the

:01:01. > :01:04.midwest, they are fighting the unstoppable floods. Seven major

:01:05. > :01:10.rivers are still rising to night. Our correspondent has storm warnings

:01:11. > :01:15.at this hour. Breaking in Indiana tonight.

:01:16. > :01:19.Tornado! A powerful storm and possible tornado sweeping through

:01:20. > :01:23.the Indianapolis area. It damages homes, knocking down trees, and

:01:24. > :01:27.created a panic this afternoon as many scrambled to get to safety. I

:01:28. > :01:34.heard a lot of banging and rattling. I headed downstairs to get to that

:01:35. > :01:39.part of the house. They have recovered from a huge storm that

:01:40. > :01:41.brought strong winds and torrential downpours on Monday. Mother Nature

:01:42. > :01:48.unleashed her anger across the midwest. Golf ball sized hail

:01:49. > :01:52.slammed parts of Kansas, making driving almost impossible. Across

:01:53. > :01:56.Minnesota, a race against time, Kroos filling sandbags `` sandbags,

:01:57. > :02:06.trying to get ahead of swollen rivers made worse. `` crews. The

:02:07. > :02:11.Mississippi River is over five foot above the flood stage. I cannot

:02:12. > :02:19.comprehend it, it is awful. It is dirty, it is... The Minnesota

:02:20. > :02:25.Governor toured this hard`hit area, and at this crew, a child who fell

:02:26. > :02:29.into the river is lucky to be alive. `` at this creek. This man jumped in

:02:30. > :02:34.to rescue the child. He was under the water for a while. I knew that

:02:35. > :02:37.something had to be done. Here, in Minnesota, it is the Mississippi

:02:38. > :02:42.river they are keeping their eyes on. You can see the water is all the

:02:43. > :02:45.way up to this swing. These buildings behind me are underwater.

:02:46. > :02:49.The river here is not expected to fall until Thursday, but there is

:02:50. > :02:57.more rain and possible flash floods expected later in the week.

:02:58. > :03:01.Now, to the new terror warning that we have heard about a night, ABC

:03:02. > :03:04.News has learned of signs that terrorists in Syria and Yemen are

:03:05. > :03:09.trying to create explosives that can be smuggled onto a plane as everyday

:03:10. > :03:10.items. They hope that passengers with US passports will be carrying

:03:11. > :03:25.them. Intelligence sources tell ABC News

:03:26. > :03:29.in lawless parts of war`torn Syria, al`Qaeda affiliated terrorists are

:03:30. > :03:34.now joining forces, trying to build bombs that are undetectable to

:03:35. > :03:39.airport security. One official calls Syria the new University for

:03:40. > :03:42.terrorism training and bomb`making. Some sources say the radicals are

:03:43. > :03:50.trying to create nonmetallic bombs that could be hidden in everyday

:03:51. > :03:58.objects. The fear among intelligence officials is that they could try to

:03:59. > :04:04.smuggle one of these bombs onto a plane headed to Europe or the US.

:04:05. > :04:09.This is the kind of threat that keeps me up at night. Some of the

:04:10. > :04:14.most ruthless elements in Syria have turned to al`Qaeda in Yemen,

:04:15. > :04:22.proven, innovative bomb makers. They designed the infamous underwear

:04:23. > :04:29.bomb. Since then, the intelligence community fears that makers have

:04:30. > :04:32.become even more sophisticated. This collection, this relationship

:04:33. > :04:38.building you see around the world, that is why we are so concerned

:04:39. > :04:42.about a security threat. I am still very concerned about Syria as a

:04:43. > :04:48.breeding ground and a staging ground for terrorist groups. While no

:04:49. > :04:52.specific plot has been identified, the intelligence community is

:04:53. > :04:57.redoubling its accurate to find any foreign fighters moving in and out

:04:58. > :05:04.of Syria. How confident are American

:05:05. > :05:11.intelligence officials about Americans going into Syria? It is an

:05:12. > :05:14.intensive campaign. They are under investigation and surveillance. But

:05:15. > :05:21.the FBI expressed concerns that some Americans may be slipping into Syria

:05:22. > :05:25.undetected. We shift our focus to Iraq. The

:05:26. > :05:33.question, can rebel forces take the capital? We have what is happening

:05:34. > :05:37.now. The extremist fighters are now

:05:38. > :05:41.ageing clue stick to the capital. There is resistance against them in

:05:42. > :05:45.pockets and a small victories. And the military is trying to fight

:05:46. > :05:51.back. There are still battling for control of the country's against oil

:05:52. > :05:58.refinery and promising to defend Baghdad at all costs. Soldiers are

:05:59. > :06:02.fighting to uphold a Shia dominated government under attack from Sunni

:06:03. > :06:11.militants. There is now only one solution. Just one language, this

:06:12. > :06:15.language. Every vehicle has been purchased, every soldier has been

:06:16. > :06:19.trained and every weapon has been supplied using US taxpayer dollars.

:06:20. > :06:22.We will only know if it is well spent if they can prove they are

:06:23. > :06:29.ready to stand up to the threat from ISIS. Adding to the mix, 90 US

:06:30. > :06:34.military advisers arrived in Baghdad. John Kerry telling ABC that

:06:35. > :06:42.America will no longer fight Iraq's war. We have to look to the

:06:43. > :06:46.government and military to be able to make the decisive difference

:06:47. > :06:51.here. They will need to do it quickly. At least 2000 have already

:06:52. > :07:01.been killed in a month. Despite promises only more bloodshed.

:07:02. > :07:05.Now we have a new report tonight on the deadly air crash at San

:07:06. > :07:09.Francisco International airport. You will remember, three passengers

:07:10. > :07:18.died, dozens of seriously injured after an air alone tumbled down the

:07:19. > :07:22.runway last July. `` airline. The pilots relied too much on the

:07:23. > :07:28.automatic controls and they were confused about how to use them.

:07:29. > :07:34.Better pilot training was recommended. There are new reports

:07:35. > :07:37.about schoolgirls in Africa, two months after nearly 300 were

:07:38. > :07:50.kidnapped. Or even more being at the? The group seems unstoppable.

:07:51. > :07:56.This time according to reports from survivors, Boko Haram wrapping close

:07:57. > :08:03.to 100 girls and boys, including toddlers as young as three. While

:08:04. > :08:08.the reports are not yet verified, it is the kind of attacks that were

:08:09. > :08:12.carried out last April. Those girls, shown off by their kidnappers, have

:08:13. > :08:17.virtually disappeared, despite a worldwide up warm and the ongoing

:08:18. > :08:26.surveillance missions the US is flying over the region. `` uproar.

:08:27. > :08:33.The audacity of hundreds of girls being kidnapped. It shook the

:08:34. > :08:38.country. Promising the world would not rest until the girls are found.

:08:39. > :08:45.We have a headline here at home tonight. Medical headline promising

:08:46. > :08:50.better results of a test of millions of American women to take. A

:08:51. > :09:00.mammogram. The 3`D version catches what cancer. `` more cancer.

:09:01. > :09:07.A new and improved weapon against cancer. While typical mammograms

:09:08. > :09:13.take one single image, 3`D mammograms taken multiple pictures.

:09:14. > :09:18.Allowing doctors to focus on individual cross sections,

:09:19. > :09:23.identifying tumours like this one that could have been missed. The

:09:24. > :09:28.study finds they increase the early detection by 29%. They decrease the

:09:29. > :09:33.number of stressful false`positive 's and fewer women have to go back

:09:34. > :09:37.for repeat screenings. How significant is this? Anything we can

:09:38. > :09:43.do to pick up cancer is that are smaller and at an earlier stage is

:09:44. > :09:47.hugely important. These machines emit more radiation than traditional

:09:48. > :09:52.mammograms and since there are more expensive, they are relatively rare.

:09:53. > :09:59.Many are seeing this as the wave of the future.

:10:00. > :10:03.Up next, stressed out. Women are you the most stressed, at work or home?

:10:04. > :10:10.Tonight, a test and what you can do about it. And the adventurers going

:10:11. > :10:14.to the extreme, plunging off a cliff for equal that. You have to see it.

:10:15. > :11:34.`` eight cool dip. Next tonight, a kind of quiz. Where

:11:35. > :11:41.are you the most stressed? Most would say at work. Some experts have

:11:42. > :11:49.looked more closely at our lives. We have the surprising results.

:11:50. > :11:53.Like most of us, this assistant high school principal lives a stress

:11:54. > :12:01.filled life. Mother of two, a husband who also works full`time.

:12:02. > :12:10.Both amateur athletes. What is your stress level at work? There are days

:12:11. > :12:14.I am at 12. At home, a six. She believes her work day it is more a

:12:15. > :12:20.stressful than at home, and we would be wrong. Researchers put the lives

:12:21. > :12:22.of 122 married and single working men and women under a microscope.

:12:23. > :12:27.Each person had to swap their saliva Each person had to swap their saliva

:12:28. > :12:36.six times per day at home or on the job to measure their cortisol

:12:37. > :12:43.levels. People's stress levels were lower at work. It turns out work may

:12:44. > :12:50.just be a haven. They see the stress on mum's face. Sometimes she gets a

:12:51. > :12:58.red in the face. Sometimes she says she is a stressed that work. She

:12:59. > :13:01.also took the test. We saw one of those moments earlier, you are

:13:02. > :13:05.cooking dinner and one of daughters wanted you to come see her do

:13:06. > :13:14.something. I could you doing the calculation in the head. Her

:13:15. > :13:19.results. You can see that the levels are slightly higher at home. She is

:13:20. > :13:24.indeed more stressed at home than at work. I thought I would be more

:13:25. > :13:28.stressed at work. Why the surprising results? Researchers believe that

:13:29. > :13:33.home is where the heart is. Care more. There are so many factors at

:13:34. > :13:39.home that are so personal. It is hard to not make that the most

:13:40. > :13:45.stressful. Are you feeling stressed that home? The experts say, stay

:13:46. > :13:52.encouraged. Delegate. Ask family members to help out. Sometimes just

:13:53. > :13:54.take a coffee break. Laughter is great medicine that all of us can

:13:55. > :14:01.afford. We begin with Paul McCartney giving

:14:02. > :14:09.us an update on his health. Feeling great, rocking and rolling. He was

:14:10. > :14:16.hospitalised in Japan last month, cancelling tour dates. He announced

:14:17. > :14:20.he would resume on July five. There is a new royal challenger to

:14:21. > :14:28.the seven kingdoms today. Queen Elizabeth paid a visit to the set of

:14:29. > :14:35.HBO's popular Game of Thrones. She gave a long, amused look at the

:14:36. > :14:39.throne. It she did not try it out. The Chalford favourite is being used

:14:40. > :14:42.to make the ultimate summer splash. The slip and slide has been taken to

:15:00. > :15:05.Over the past couple of weeks we have had plenty of dry, settled and

:15:06. > :15:09.sunny weather. But things are going to change a little bit as we go

:15:10. > :15:13.through to the end of this week. We are already seeing a bit of a

:15:14. > :15:16.change. Yesterday in the south it was a warm day. But this is a weak

:15:17. > :15:17.weather front introducing cooler
