:02:19. > :02:22.There is plenty of warm water. It will move into colder waters, which
:02:23. > :02:33.will collect and share it down. This is timing. By 2pm on Friday, it is
:02:34. > :02:42.south`east of New York and then it will go to new England.
:02:43. > :02:50.Massachusetts will steal it. `` feel it. The cold front will sweep a lot

:03:25. > :03:30.North Carolina. There are traffic jams and blinding rain to get
:03:31. > :03:34.through. We join our reporter. We have watched Hurricane Arthur come
:03:35. > :03:41.in. We have started to feel it over the past hour or so. The wind and
:03:42. > :03:47.rain that comes with it becomes colder. It will become worse in the
:03:48. > :03:52.coming hours. The Carolina coastline tonight was lashed with wind and
:03:53. > :03:58.rain. Hurricane Arthur 's storm clouds come into Carolina. The
:03:59. > :04:13.midday sky is black. 35 miles out to sea, there are as wells as taut as
:04:14. > :04:21.two building. `` swells as tall as two`storey buildings. Roads are
:04:22. > :04:26.blocked with crashed cars. This line to walk the coast stretches miles

:04:46. > :04:50.down. We are surprised to see that people are still here. It seems that
:04:51. > :04:56.a lot of people didn't get the word that the storm is headed directly
:04:57. > :05:02.for this town. Four inches of rain is forecast over the next 12 hours.
:05:03. > :05:06.Flooding is going to be an issue. Moving up the coast where there are
:05:07. > :05:13.mandatory evacuations under way, families are giving up evacuation
:05:14. > :05:23.plans and are trying to get out of harm 's way. We had to our reporter.
:05:24. > :05:27.Families are on the move. Some families have left, but others have
:05:28. > :05:32.decided to stay and ride out the storm. This is the bulls eye of this
:05:33. > :05:39.hurricane. It is the earliest to hit North Carolina in recorded history.
:05:40. > :05:45.As it moved up the coast, the signs to evacuate were clear. They told
:05:46. > :05:51.you to go and you are? It is better than having our car flooded. They
:05:52. > :05:57.are packing up their vacation here. We are going to safe grounds and
:05:58. > :06:02.hope they call us back. Thousands of residents and vacationers have to

:06:04. > :06:16.afternoon. This family are keeping their eyes on the TV for the
:06:17. > :06:23.first hurricane of the season that is taking strength. Shutters are

:06:32. > :06:35.can do this. Businesses are worried that their cash registers will be
:06:36. > :06:41.hit by the storm. This is traditionally the busiest week of
