:00:00. > :00:10.report on all of this tomorrow. Time now for ABC World News with Dianne
:00:11. > :00:15.Sawyer. Welcome to World News. Tonight: surviving the crash, as
:00:16. > :00:18.another passenger plane goes down, this one during a dangerous storm.
:00:19. > :00:24.Tonight you will hear amazing stories from people who escaped the
:00:25. > :00:28.wreckage. A sombre procession as some victims of Malaysia flight MH17
:00:29. > :00:34.return home. And also to note in World News, finding your dream
:00:35. > :00:39.house. Never shy away from the house that looks terrible. The secret to
:00:40. > :00:48.finding a hidden treasure for your family in the neighbourhood you
:00:49. > :00:52.thought you couldn't afford. Good evening to you on this Wednesday
:00:53. > :00:55.night. We begin with the developing story this week of jarring news. Yet
:00:56. > :01:01.another passenger plane has gone down, this time in Taiwan. And this
:01:02. > :01:05.time Stormy weather may have played a role. Even as we mourn the
:01:06. > :01:09.passengers on the plane which was shot down, tonight we hear from
:01:10. > :01:14.survivors from this plane in Taiwan, survivors who somehow managed to
:01:15. > :01:21.walk away a live. Our correspondent has the very latest on their
:01:22. > :01:24.stories. The remains of this passenger plane hosed down, a
:01:25. > :01:33.mangled mess in a week that has seen some grim aviation scenes. Somehow
:01:34. > :01:36.some people survive this crash, one girl climbing out of the wreckage,
:01:37. > :01:43.borrowing a cellphone, and calling her mother, saying ma'am, my plane
:01:44. > :01:51.crashed. Relatives learning the news at the airport. The aircraft is a
:01:52. > :01:56.twin turboprop, which can carry up to 74 passengers. It was flown by
:01:57. > :02:00.Taiwan's's TransAsia Airways. Why did it go down? Falling rain you saw
:02:01. > :02:04.in these pictures was much heavier and may have contributed to the
:02:05. > :02:09.crash into some buildings. This typhoon had just passed over the
:02:10. > :02:12.islands. In fact the flight's departure had been delayed for an
:02:13. > :02:17.hour and 45 minutes because of a storm, finally taking off a little
:02:18. > :02:23.before six in the evening. Just a little more than an hour later,
:02:24. > :02:26.between prop plane attempted to land at Penghu Islands. The first landing
:02:27. > :02:32.was aborted by the pilot. The second time around, the plane went down off
:02:33. > :02:37.airport grounds. Under lights, recovery crews worked, and the black
:02:38. > :02:40.box has already been found. It has been a tough week, but generally
:02:41. > :02:46.deaths in aviation accidents are down. And the survival for some.
:02:47. > :02:51.Generally it is those riding in the back of the plane who make it out
:02:52. > :02:53.alive. At the end of the day we have to look at the big picture, which is
:02:54. > :02:58.that flying remains safer than getting into a car and driving to
:02:59. > :03:01.the grocery store. The good news is that investigators have the black
:03:02. > :03:04.box and they will know very soon whether what happened in the last
:03:05. > :03:11.couple of seconds contributed to the crash. And of course, it will not be
:03:12. > :03:14.a short investigation. We take you to the Netherlands. The nation in
:03:15. > :03:18.mourning tonight because of the passengers on the jet which was
:03:19. > :03:21.blown out of the sky over Ukraine. The procession of cough and
:03:22. > :03:28.stretched for miles as the first wave of victims came home ``
:03:29. > :03:35.offers. Flags at half`mast `` coffins. Our correspondent is there
:03:36. > :03:42.with the suffering and the search for answers tonight. Across the soft
:03:43. > :03:47.blue skies today, bells rang out, signalling the homecoming was under
:03:48. > :03:57.way. From town Square, to train station, to the airport, time stood

:04:09. > :04:15.the first of the plane's Thames `` coffins. In front of the relatives,
:04:16. > :04:23.hidden away behind screens, and Dutch royalty. Then the procession,
:04:24. > :04:30.an armada of hearses. And thousands of mourners paying tribute, lining
:04:31. > :04:36.the streets. It is a very black day for everybody, especially for people
:04:37. > :04:40.from this part of the country. There is sadness and a demand for justice.
:04:41. > :04:46.The body delayed coming five days after the crash. Today for the
:04:47. > :04:50.families of passengers from 12 countries across the globe, it was
:04:51. > :04:54.about profound loss. Through the morning, the investigation carried
:04:55. > :04:59.on. The world demanded answers. Tonight, the black box is now in the
:05:00. > :05:03.hands of experts who say they do not appear to have been tampered with.
:05:04. > :05:06.This while the rebels showed no signs of hacking down. Today accused

:05:52. > :05:55.As a Red Cross convoy creeps forward, we followed behind,
:05:56. > :06:00.entering a deserted and destroyed Gaza neighbourhood
:06:01. > :06:08.echoing around us. Israel pounding the area for four days. Hamas
:06:09. > :06:13.militants fighting back. A bulldozer cleared of the way. These rescue
:06:14. > :06:18.workers are paying on doors, calling out for the wounded, clearing one
:06:19. > :06:23.house and moving to the next. And, frantic digging as a man is pulled
:06:24. > :06:27.from his house which collapsed. Seems like these have triggered a UN

:06:35. > :06:38.75% of the 700 Palestinians killed here were civilians, according to

:06:59. > :07:02.airport is empty following a ban on American flights to Israel for
:07:03. > :07:06.another 24 hours. Other top international airlines have done the
:07:07. > :07:10.same. After a rocket wasn't intercepted, it landed a mile from
:07:11. > :07:15.the airport on Tuesday. It was claimed by Hamas as a victory. John
:07:16. > :07:21.Kerry spent the day in Israel pushing a ceasefire deal, but has
