:00:00. > :00:00.thrown by the locals. Time now for a look at the news as

:00:00. > :00:13.seen across the United States a couple of hours ago in ABC World

:00:14. > :00:17.News with David Muir. The horrific images, the second

:00:18. > :00:24.American hostage apparently killed by the ruthless terror group, ISIS.

:00:25. > :00:31.Tonight, more information coming in. Tornado warnings. Twisters already

:00:32. > :00:38.doing damage. Lightning strikes and massive hailstorms. The stolen

:00:39. > :00:44.childhood. Returning from the Syrian border. The children running from

:00:45. > :00:50.Terra forced to work at the age of seven. `` terrorism. And we are

:00:51. > :00:59.learning how the celebrity photographs were hacked. And how

:01:00. > :01:04.safe are your photographs? We have the one thing that you should do

:01:05. > :01:13.right now. Good evening. We begin with the

:01:14. > :01:18.horrific news, the gruesome video appearing to show a second American

:01:19. > :01:24.hostage executed by terrorists from ISIS. American journalist Stephen

:01:25. > :01:27.Sotloff, just 31 years old. It comes just two weeks after another

:01:28. > :01:34.American, James Foley, lost his life. Tonight, and urgent

:01:35. > :01:38.international manhunt for the man with what sounds like a British

:01:39. > :01:48.accent, appearing now with a message for President Obama.

:01:49. > :01:53.US officials said today that Stephen Sotloff never had a chance. Once the

:01:54. > :01:58.American journalist was in the hands of the ISIS group... The emotional

:01:59. > :02:06.plea for his life from his mother clearly had no impact on her son's

:02:07. > :02:11.killers. I ask you to please release my child. As a mother, I ask for

:02:12. > :02:16.your justice to be merciful and for you to not punish my son over

:02:17. > :02:21.matters he has no control of. ISIS said it had killed Stephen Sotloff

:02:22. > :02:25.because of President Obama's decision to continue airstrikes in

:02:26. > :02:32.Iraq. Today, the only comment came from the President's press

:02:33. > :02:35.secretary. Our thoughts and prayers are with Stephen Sotloff and his

:02:36. > :02:44.family. The graphic video today was titled, A Second Message To

:02:45. > :02:48.America. It was posted online and then distributed on social media.

:02:49. > :02:55.The executioner appeared to be the same British accented speaker who

:02:56. > :02:58.killed James Foley two weeks ago. Investigators are already comparing

:02:59. > :03:07.the voices of the two videos along with an analysis of the desert

:03:08. > :03:10.setting, the Speaker's use of his left hand to hold the knife.

:03:11. > :03:16.Earlier, facial recognition experts created this likeness from the

:03:17. > :03:21.video, both clean`shaven and with a moustache, trying to figure out who

:03:22. > :03:27.is responsible. There is obviously tremendous interest in identifying

:03:28. > :03:35.who and where ISIS continues to hold foreigners. A spokesman from Stephen

:03:36. > :03:40.Sotloff's parents said they were privately grieving the loss of their

:03:41. > :03:43.son. Of continued concern to US officials is their belief that the

:03:44. > :03:49.group is also holding two young American aid workers, who went to

:03:50. > :03:55.Syria to do nothing more but help civilians who were caught in the

:03:56. > :03:58.middle of the conflict. Thank you. And that hooded terrorists from ISIS

:03:59. > :04:05.was speaking directly to President Obama today. The President is

:04:06. > :04:11.meeting with global leaders in Europe tonight. At the top of their

:04:12. > :04:13.agenda is what to do about ISIS. White House officials say the

:04:14. > :04:18.intelligence community is still working to confirm the authenticity

:04:19. > :04:23.of this recording. But officials say they have no doubt that it is real.

:04:24. > :04:27.The president sought to downplay the threat posed by ISIS but now with

:04:28. > :04:33.the second execution of an American and fears that the group holds two

:04:34. > :04:36.more people, it is a threat that is becoming increasingly difficult to

:04:37. > :04:41.downplay. As the president meets with European leaders this week, the

:04:42. > :04:46.need to come up with a comprehensive strategy to deal with ISIS is at the

:04:47. > :04:51.top of the agenda. Thank you. And we want to remind everyone at home of

:04:52. > :04:58.one important number tonight. More than 120 US airstrikes on ISIS

:04:59. > :05:03.positions this week. Will this strange `` change the strategy,

:05:04. > :05:08.going forward? This was certainly a wake`up call and this apparent

:05:09. > :05:13.execution will reinforce the resolve but will not change the overall

:05:14. > :05:17.strategy. There is disgust and anger at this horrific murder but the

:05:18. > :05:20.military and the President must emotionally distanced themselves

:05:21. > :05:24.when making decisions. The airstrikes in northern Iraq have

:05:25. > :05:29.been relentless, the majority of them aimed at preventing ISIS from

:05:30. > :05:33.overtaking towns. As for Syria, the White House press secretary said

:05:34. > :05:36.today that the president had been working closely with his team to

:05:37. > :05:41.review the military option is there. Surveillance flights over the

:05:42. > :05:46.area have been looking at ISIS movements and targets and there are

:05:47. > :05:52.plenty of them. It is now up to the president to decide if that is the

:05:53. > :05:56.route he wants to take. And the Pentagon has confirmed tonight that

:05:57. > :06:01.US airstrikes in Somalia did target of the head of Al`Shabab, the

:06:02. > :06:06.terrorist groups with links `` group with links to Al`Qaeda.

:06:07. > :06:11.Tonight, the other developing headline at home. The severe storms

:06:12. > :06:17.and the weather this evening. Millions of Americans are on alert

:06:18. > :06:21.this evening. In the Midwest tonight, families are cleaning up

:06:22. > :06:30.after this tornado in Kansas. Just listen to this. Powerful lightning.

:06:31. > :06:37.Storm chasers were filming so close by that they were injured. They all

:06:38. > :06:43.recovered tonight. Lightning is always a concern. Tonight, we have

:06:44. > :06:46.severe storms. There have already been more than three dozen severe

:06:47. > :06:54.storm reports, the majority with damaging winds. Central

:06:55. > :06:59.Pennsylvania, Western New York and Northern Maryland, Kentucky and into

:07:00. > :07:04.Tennessee. Tomorrow, our attention turns to a brand`new storm, coming

:07:05. > :07:11.out of Canada. South Dakota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. And, of

:07:12. > :07:23.course, looking at the tropics, we have another tropical storm heading

:07:24. > :07:25.into Mexico. Thank you. Now to the breaking headlines late today over

:07:26. > :07:31.those famous faces and their private photographs. Jennifer Lawrence and

:07:32. > :07:34.Kate Upton had their personal photographs posted online by

:07:35. > :07:45.somebody else. How safe are your photographs?

:07:46. > :07:46.that you can do right now. Tonight, a major break in the

:07:47. > :07:55.hacking scandal, Apple saying there was no breach in any of their

:07:56. > :07:57.systems, including... Instead, they said they had discovered a targeted

:07:58. > :08:05.attack on certain celebrity accounts. Usernames, passwords and

:08:06. > :08:09.security questions. Your mother's maiden name, their first pet. You

:08:10. > :08:14.can probably get this information from their Wikipedia page. There is

:08:15. > :08:17.a deep underground network of hackers all over the internet

:08:18. > :08:24.profiting from the trade and sale of celebrity photos. They have contests

:08:25. > :08:28.to see who can outdo each other. Tonight, the FBI are investigating

:08:29. > :08:33.the alleged hacking and who is behind it but the privacy breaches

:08:34. > :08:36.also exposing just how vulnerable our personal information and

:08:37. > :08:42.pictures are on the internet. The solution lies in the passwords. They

:08:43. > :08:47.are the gatekeepers to our privacy. Security experts say we much make

:08:48. > :08:51.them unique `` must make them unique and change them often because a

:08:52. > :08:54.photograph in the wrong hand can cause something much worse than

:08:55. > :09:00.embarrassment. It can put you in danger. You can tell the latitude,

:09:01. > :09:04.longitude and altitude of where she was when they took that photo. And

:09:05. > :09:08.the single most effective thing you can do to protect your information

:09:09. > :09:10.online is not just to protect your information online is not just a

:09:11. > :09:13.user password. Many websites offer 2`step verifications. That will give

:09:14. > :09:31.an added layer of protection. We're going to the story about the

:09:32. > :09:40.nine`year`old girl who shocked her instructor with the Uzi. How young

:09:41. > :09:49.is too young? Tonight it is the chaotic aftermath of a split second

:09:50. > :09:56.accident. The moment the ninth `year`old girl having fun with her

:09:57. > :10:05.family at the popular shooting range outside Las Vegas lost control of

:10:06. > :10:12.the Uzi machine`gun, shooting her 89th `year`old instructor. According

:10:13. > :10:18.to a police report, the girl dropped the gun, wrapping her shoulder is

:10:19. > :10:28.injured, telling her mother the gun was too much. The girl's father said

:10:29. > :10:31.that no one immediately realised the instructor was injured. It is

:10:32. > :10:39.renewing debate about how Lee`Kyung is too young for kids on the firing

:10:40. > :10:48.line. Rangers set their own limits, some are as young as six. They

:10:49. > :10:55.desperately try to save his life. The family are devastated about the

:10:56. > :11:01.death. With semi` American children going back to school, an urgent

:11:02. > :11:09.crisis halfway around the world, with children who are not waiting

:11:10. > :11:21.for the bus but going to work. There are children who are supporting

:11:22. > :11:27.families from Syria. In Lebanon, there could be up to 300,000

:11:28. > :11:32.children working. Only the children get hired to work because they can

:11:33. > :11:41.be paid less. It is 6pm and we are three miles from the Syrian border.

:11:42. > :11:49.We go to see what has replaced the school day for this girl. She wakes

:11:50. > :11:54.up and there is no school bus. We bought the truck with the children.

:11:55. > :12:00.They are going to the fields. She points out the way. The children

:12:01. > :12:09.with tiny hands holding on, once a middle`class family in Syria. Now

:12:10. > :12:13.they support their families. 20 minutes on the truck and then we

:12:14. > :12:19.spot them, the farmers waiting for their workers. The only higher

:12:20. > :12:24.children here because they know they can pay them less. The little boys

:12:25. > :12:30.are likely making more than the little girls. In some cases. They

:12:31. > :12:36.say that the boys are stronger. This boy is in the field and a tractor

:12:37. > :12:42.comes by dangerously close. This is the new normal just over the border

:12:43. > :12:49.from Syria in Lebanon. Instead of going to school, they go to the

:12:50. > :12:55.fields. This is a tractor unearthing potatoes. The children gather to

:12:56. > :13:02.fill their bags with potatoes. In many cases, we are now the sole

:13:03. > :13:08.breadwinners. It is backbreaking work, but they have not forgotten

:13:09. > :13:18.what their like with like. They spend seven hours a day feeding the

:13:19. > :13:21.facts. `` filling the sacks. The farmer is telling her she needs to

:13:22. > :13:32.put more into her bag. We are talking about 8,9, ten. From seven.

:13:33. > :13:45.It is not just the factories, but also for the repair shops. We meet

:13:46. > :13:50.the Syrian refugee trying to sell us tissues through the window. She told

:13:51. > :13:59.us she lost her mother in Syria. We discovered the sliver of hope. Some

:14:00. > :14:02.of the children after hours of hard labour and they still had the skip

:14:03. > :14:08.in their step. We could share their voices round the corner. UNICEF is

:14:09. > :14:15.trying to give them the school be missed. We asked how many came after

:14:16. > :14:22.work. Their tiny hands came fresh from the fields, proud of their hard

:14:23. > :14:31.work. 50 potatoes. It hurts your back? A little bit. How many want to

:14:32. > :14:41.go home? It does not take them long to answer. We return to the tents.

:14:42. > :14:51.The farmers weeks of them again tomorrow. We want you to know you

:14:52. > :14:55.can help. UNICEF says $15 can buy an entire classroom worth of supplies.

:14:56. > :15:08.All the information is on our website. This Tuesday, our reporter

:15:09. > :15:15.was behind the wheel under water. Do you open the door or not? What is

:15:16. > :15:21.behind the change. Joan Rivers and the latest from her family. Also, we

:15:22. > :15:24.have all lost priced family photos. An American family but the crease
