:01:00. > :01:06.it the city's against new listing this year. Our correspondent has

:01:07. > :01:11.more. For China and the bright bank, a

:01:12. > :01:18.lender based in Beijing, the third time was the charm. -- ever right

:01:19. > :01:23.bank. It has succeeded in raising billions of dollars, making it the

:01:24. > :01:27.city's biggest initial public offering this year. The bank is the

:01:28. > :01:31.third Chinese financial institution to have listed here in the past

:01:32. > :01:35.month. It may have raised slightly less money than some investors had

:01:36. > :01:41.expected, but the offer has brought optimism back to another -- and

:01:42. > :01:45.otherwise lacklustre market. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange was the

:01:46. > :01:52.world 's top destination for new listings in the three years from

:01:53. > :01:56.2009 to 2011. A slowdown in the Chinese economy and more cautious

:01:57. > :02:01.attitude by regulators had contributed to a slump in the market

:02:02. > :02:06.since then. Investors are hoping the other listings will mark a turning

:02:07. > :02:09.point. Some of them are dating a number of economic and financial

:02:43. > :02:47.transactions worth nearly $400,000. Brian was a senior manager at

:02:48. > :02:51.Microsoft's treasury group, when he provided information to a friend.

:03:03. > :03:06.Target set many millions of its customers' credit card details may

:03:07. > :03:12.have been compromised. It began around November 29. The shopping

:03:13. > :03:25.period known as Black Friday, the busiest shopping days of the year.

:03:26. > :03:31.North and South Korea have held their first official meeting since

:03:32. > :03:41.the execution of the uncle of Kim Jong-un. Trade brought the two sides

:03:42. > :03:48.together. They want to expand the key song in the -- the case of

:03:49. > :03:51.industrial park. Official talks coincided with the foreign

:03:52. > :04:02.delegation visiting the zone as part of efforts to make it more

:04:03. > :04:05.attractive as a production centre. The outraged hammer out the

:04:06. > :04:10.parameters and laws of the operation of the park. The two sides are

:04:11. > :04:16.getting closer together on customs and transportation. The big sticking

:04:17. > :04:21.point, access to the internet, mobile phone coverage inside the

:04:22. > :04:27.park. It sits just inside North Korea, where these things are not

:04:28. > :04:29.available to the public. Their boss encourages something foreign

:04:30. > :04:35.investors want to see if they do come and invest in the park

:04:36. > :04:40.themselves. How keen on both sides to get more foreign investment into

:04:41. > :04:45.that? There is enthusiasm on both sides for different reasons. South

:04:46. > :04:52.Korea wanted to agree to reopen the park and see some changes. Foreign

:04:53. > :04:57.investment would help stabilise the park and stop further closures.

:04:58. > :04:59.North Korea stands to gain economically. The income it gets to

:05:00. > :05:03.work economically. The income it gets through workers are imported.

:05:04. > :05:06.If more companies move in, more North Korean workers will get paid.

:05:07. > :05:12.If foreign investors are still cautious about investing, the assets

:05:13. > :05:19.that the park offers, like cheap labour, has been shown to be offset

:05:20. > :05:24.by the instability of the park. It was suddenly closed a few months

:05:25. > :05:28.ago. The broader political instability as well, coming so soon

:05:29. > :05:33.after the purged from the ranks of North Korea's leadership, the

:05:34. > :05:39.execution of Kim Jong-un's encore. Investors in South Korea seem to

:05:40. > :05:44.have something against that. On occasion, things have happened

:05:45. > :05:50.between the two countries but have not disrupted investment too much.

:05:51. > :05:54.The industrial park is -- is a special case, situated inside North

:05:55. > :06:04.Korea. It does have the means to close access to it. Investors will

:06:05. > :06:08.be wary of, in the short term, waiting to see which way the wind is

:06:09. > :06:14.blowing and how far the countries are willing to compromise. South

:06:15. > :06:27.Korea is keen to hold onto it and keep it opened, expanded operations.

:06:28. > :06:32.India's benchmark stock index retreated by 151 points on Thursday,

:06:33. > :06:40.after the Fed announced plans to wind down its stimulus programme.

:06:41. > :06:44.Our correspondent has more. Indian stock markets have stepped

:06:45. > :06:48.off the back of the US Federal Reserve position but it has not been

:06:49. > :06:55.a bloodbath like we saw in May this year. The markets were heavily in

:06:56. > :07:00.the red. The country's Central Bank governor said India is better

:07:01. > :07:08.prepared to deal with the paper. Stock market in recent months have

:07:09. > :07:13.pushed up -- have been pushed up. There are worries these will be

:07:14. > :07:20.diverted. For more news on tapering, chin in

:07:21. > :07:23.later today. A London-based auction house,

:07:24. > :07:31.Christie 's, marked its entry into India by holding its first ever sale

:07:32. > :07:36.of South Asian art in Mumbai. How many Indians can afford the high

:07:37. > :07:51.prices paid a serious collectors? Our correspondent has more.

:07:52. > :08:00.Sold. Bring in Indian art back home. 83 artworks by some of the

:08:01. > :08:10.best-known global Indian artists were sold in the first ever auction

:08:11. > :08:14.by Christie 's in Mumbai. Even though foreign demand for Indian art

:08:15. > :08:17.was on the rise, Christie 's auction in India happened at a time when the

:08:18. > :08:24.domestic art market was going through a downturn. At two that the

:08:25. > :08:34.country 's economy slowing down. Was this the right time to India? I feel

:08:35. > :08:39.it is important for us to be in India. We have a proper auction to

:08:40. > :08:44.help the market convene around the events. We are here for the

:08:45. > :08:51.long-term. There will be ups and downs. Christie 's is betting on the

:08:52. > :08:55.growing number of affluent Indians who have started collecting art in

:08:56. > :09:00.recent years. Many purchase art for the love of it but there is also a

:09:01. > :09:06.growing sector buying it as a form of investment, like this man. He

:09:07. > :09:10.started purchasing art pieces 16 years back. Ever since, it has

:09:11. > :09:19.become a man investment avenue for him. One thing I tell everyone is

:09:20. > :09:23.that gold and shares is something you cannot enjoy physically. It is

:09:24. > :09:28.not something you can see and appreciate. But art is something

:09:29. > :09:37.that hangs on the wall. It is appreciated. Compared to other Asian

:09:38. > :09:42.countries like China and Singapore, the Indian art market is still

:09:43. > :09:49.undeveloped. For many Indian artists, their agony and global

:09:50. > :09:58.recognition. Investors hope this is one sector whose future is bright.

:09:59. > :10:06.We are seeing mixed shows across the board in Asia.

:10:07. > :10:37.That is it for the edition of Asia Business Report. Thank you for
