:00:08. > :00:20.from Singapore. ET is the last day of deals at the
:00:21. > :00:24.Singapore Airshow. We find out the final figures, live from the
:00:25. > :00:30.organiser. And doing trade between the Gulf and China. It's no longer
:00:31. > :00:40.about oil. Welcome. Trade is winding up at
:00:41. > :00:46.Asia's biggest aviation event, the Singapore Airshow. There have been
:00:47. > :00:51.orders worth $11 billion. We will bring you the final figures shortly
:00:52. > :00:54.when we speak with the organiser live from the air show. Let's take a
:00:55. > :01:00.look at some of the highlights. Their boss revealed its latest
:01:01. > :01:08.plane, the A350. It is seen as a rival to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
:01:09. > :01:16.Boeing forecast its fleet will triple in 20 years. Airbus won the
:01:17. > :01:23.biggest deal, with an order for 20 A380 super jumbo jets. That's worth
:01:24. > :01:27.more than $8 billion. Let's cross to the Singapore Airshow and talk to
:01:28. > :01:30.the organiser, who can give us the final figure on the deals. Thanks
:01:31. > :01:36.for joining us. Over the next few hours, we are talking about the
:01:37. > :01:43.figure of over $11 billion. Can you tell us what is the final tally of
:01:44. > :01:51.how many deals have been closed? Good morning. At the end of the
:01:52. > :01:56.third day of trading, yesterday there was the announcement of close
:01:57. > :02:02.to US $32 billion worth of deals announced. That surpasses what we
:02:03. > :02:09.did two years ago. Indeed, it does surpass what happened last time.
:02:10. > :02:13.Close to $30 billion. But with Asia driving growth in air travel, there
:02:14. > :02:25.were many expectations for this 2014 airshow. Do you think you met
:02:26. > :02:33.expectations? The orders have come from all over Asia this time. I
:02:34. > :02:39.think we are moving close to where I hope we will end up at the end of
:02:40. > :02:47.trading this evening. But, if you take a look at the other global
:02:48. > :02:55.airshow is over the past year, you have the likes of Dubai, with 206
:02:56. > :03:02.billion dollars, US, we also have the likes of others at over $70
:03:03. > :03:08.billion worth of deals. This figure of $32 billion, isn't that
:03:09. > :03:14.disappointing? No, it isn't a disappointment because I think one
:03:15. > :03:18.should consider that the middle eastern countries are suffering from
:03:19. > :03:24.a very low base. Being the objective of making themselves a major hub
:03:25. > :03:27.over the next few years, their orders are largely concentrated on
:03:28. > :03:34.the bigger aircraft, the super jumbo jet is, the triple sevens, those
:03:35. > :03:46.kinds of orders. But in the Asia-Pacific, most of the growth
:03:47. > :03:52.will come from the LCCs. -- 777. Base of most regional and domestic
:03:53. > :03:56.routes. The condition is different. We can't possibly reach those sorts
:03:57. > :04:02.of numbers that Asia. It is a more mature market than the middle east.
:04:03. > :04:10.But you should also consider that LCC has at least on order a fleet
:04:11. > :04:14.that is going to be over what they are operating right now. They are
:04:15. > :04:19.commanding something about 1000 aircraft but they have on their
:04:20. > :04:23.books 1500 aircraft to be delivered over the next ten years and this
:04:24. > :04:30.year alone 230 aircraft. It is one aircraft per day. Before we let you
:04:31. > :04:34.go, a lot of people are saying that this is your last airshow that he
:04:35. > :04:40.will be overseeing. Have you changed your mind? Will you come back for
:04:41. > :04:46.another one? LAUGHS. I don't think so. I think I need a rest before I
:04:47. > :04:52.embark on any other projects. It has been quite a ride. The last four
:04:53. > :04:56.shows. It has been a great team effort and I think the show has
:04:57. > :05:02.paced itself -- placed itself as one of the most important events in the
:05:03. > :05:05.global aviation calendar. We will have to leave it there. Thank you so
:05:06. > :05:12.much for joining us. And for revealing for the first time the
:05:13. > :05:16.final tally of figures at the Singapore Airshow. As you mentioned,
:05:17. > :05:22.more than 32 million dollars, US. Thanks for joining us. -- 30 $2
:05:23. > :05:28.billion. Other news, fresh numbers from China
:05:29. > :05:33.reveals consumer prices or inflation coming in at 2.5% in January,
:05:34. > :05:36.compare to one year ago. The data measures changes in the prices paid
:05:37. > :05:42.by consumers for a basket of goods and services. The figure to January
:05:43. > :05:46.falls broadly in line with market expectations. Analysts say that
:05:47. > :05:49.expect the central plank -- central bank will keep its monetary policy
:05:50. > :05:57.tight this year, as the inflation situation is under control.
:05:58. > :06:02.Australian goldmining giants have been announcing a big fall in

:06:15. > :06:18.It's no secret that Chinese companies are investing billions of

:07:11. > :07:14.very well located. It is halfway from China to Europe. Another very
:07:15. > :07:19.important aspect is the government in Dubai has offered favourable

:07:50. > :08:00.the area of 50 international football pitches. So, what is
:08:01. > :08:04.driving the demand? There has been great exchange of trade. The huge
:08:05. > :08:09.amount of trade between the country and China is done through Dragon
