:09:56. > :09:58.For many decades we've enriched foreign industry at the expense

:10:10. > :10:13.We've defended other nations' borders while refusing
:10:14. > :10:20.to defend our own, and we've spent trillions and trillions of dollars
:10:21. > :10:25.overseas while America's infrastructure has fallen
:10:26. > :10:37.We've made other countries rich while the wealth,
:10:38. > :10:41.strength and confidence of our country has dissipated
:10:42. > :10:51.One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores with not even
:10:52. > :10:54.a thought about the millions and millions of American workers
:10:55. > :11:06.The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes
:11:07. > :11:11.and then redistributed all across the world.
:11:12. > :11:17.But that is the past, and now we are looking only
:11:18. > :11:32.We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every
:11:33. > :11:38.city, in every foreign capital and in every hall of power.
:11:39. > :11:45.From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land.
:11:46. > :11:53.From this day forward, it's going to be only America first
:11:54. > :12:05.Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration,

:18:39. > :18:48.Americans. He talked about a strong nationalist call for a America's
:18:49. > :18:55.role in the world. Mr President, in the Bible, rain is a sign of God's
:18:56. > :19:01.blessing. It started to rain when you came to the podium. It is my
:19:02. > :19:10.prayer that God will bless you, your family, your administration, and man

:22:10. > :22:14.change America. Promising to bring back jobs to a America. Promising
:22:15. > :22:19.that in everything it will be a America, and American workers,
:22:20. > :22:25.first. Jon Sopel, quite a speech. Quite a speech. I think we have
:22:26. > :22:35.heard so often an inaugural address is very carefully modulated and a
:22:36. > :22:39.kind of conciliatory speech. I do not know why we thought he would do
:22:40. > :22:42.a standard political speech. He delivered a more polished version of
:22:43. > :22:49.the way he has campaigned throughout the country these past 18 months.
:22:50. > :22:54.And he has sought to say, do you know what, the way use on the
:22:55. > :23:04.campaigning is the way I am going to govern. A Republican strategist. I
:23:05. > :23:09.listened to that speech and I imagine many people around the
:23:10. > :23:13.world, and in the UK, in Europe, in Asia, millions of them, watching the
:23:14. > :23:16.speech, they would have heard the message from Donald Trump that every
:23:17. > :23:22.single decision they make will now be about America first. You and I
:23:23. > :23:28.both acknowledged that Donald Trump managed to cut the employment rate
:23:29. > :23:34.in half. There are 9 million people who are dropping out of the
:23:35. > :23:41.workforce not being counted. There is a meaningful job problem. There
:23:42. > :23:44.is a wage issue as well. There will be opportunities. Will he be
:23:45. > :23:54.challenged I questions of technology and trade, immigration, even a trade
:23:55. > :23:57.war, no doubt about it. The world says goodbye to President Barack
:23:58. > :24:01.Obama. In office for eight years. Immensely popular around the world
:24:02. > :24:07.of Barack Obama. He turns around and waves goodbye. And that is it. The
:24:08. > :24:17.last we see of Barack Obama in Washington. He will now fly to the
:24:18. > :24:20.Air Force Base. The new man is coming back into the Capitol
:24:21. > :24:25.building. That is it. He is alone now. He does not have Barack Obama
:24:26. > :24:31.on his side now. He is the 45th President of the United States. All
:24:32. > :24:33.the decisions and cares of these offers are now on his shoulders.
:24:34. > :24:39.This really has been an extraordinary transition of power.
