:00:22. > :00:26.Good afternoon. More than 90 people are now known to have been killed

:00:26. > :00:28.in yesterday's shootings and bomb attack in Norway. As the full

:00:28. > :00:34.horror of the atrocities emerges, the Norwegian Prime Minister said

:00:34. > :00:37.the country's way of life has been abused and attacked. A 32-year-old

:00:37. > :00:41.Norwegian man has been charged with killing seven people in the bomb

:00:41. > :00:48.attack in the capital, Oslo. Then at least 84 were shot dead at a

:00:48. > :00:58.youth camp on the island of Utoya. Our correspondent Richard Galpin is

:00:58. > :00:59.

:00:59. > :01:05.there. Survivors being brought back from the island, after the gunman

:01:05. > :01:09.was finally captured by the police. Following more than an hour of

:01:09. > :01:17.cold-blooded killing. The traumatised teenagers had thought

:01:17. > :01:21.he was a policeman. The island of Utoeya, normally a paradise in the

:01:21. > :01:25.lakes west of Oslo. Today, empty, but yesterday, it had been filled

:01:25. > :01:32.with hundreds of youngsters on a summer camp, which suddenly turned

:01:32. > :01:35.into a killing ground. A few escaped on boats. Many tried to

:01:35. > :01:42.swim away. The cold water and distance forced them back into the

:01:42. > :01:45.gunman's sights. TRANSLATION: People were jumping out of windows

:01:45. > :01:49.and running everywhere in all directions. Terrified for their

:01:49. > :01:53.lives. Most people ran towards the water, hiding behind stones and

:01:53. > :02:00.small hills. The guy was dressed as a police officer and trying to

:02:00. > :02:07.ensure he was kind of helping us and he said, come here. He had a

:02:07. > :02:12.rifle that he was using to shoot at us. It was total chaos. A few hours

:02:12. > :02:15.earlier, another horrific attack. A massive car bomb detonated outside

:02:16. > :02:22.Government buildings in the centre of Oslo. Today, the Prime Minister

:02:22. > :02:28.called for unity. Norway's a small country, but we are a proud country.

:02:28. > :02:34.We are all very close, especially in times like this. I think that

:02:34. > :02:39.all people feel very close to those who are victims of the violence.

:02:39. > :02:44.This is the man Norwegian media say is allegedly responsible for both

:02:44. > :02:48.attacks. A 32-year-old called Anders Behring Breivik. He's

:02:48. > :02:54.alleged to hold extreme nationalist and Christian views. It's not clear

:02:54. > :02:58.if he was acting alone. Nor is it clear why the young people were

:02:58. > :03:08.targeted at their youth camp, organised by the governing Labour

:03:08. > :03:11.

:03:11. > :03:17.Party. Jens Stoltenberg is now meeting some of the families of the

:03:17. > :03:21.people who swam from that island and who were rescued. A member of

:03:21. > :03:26.the Norwegian Parliament, taking part in the youth camp witnessed

:03:26. > :03:35.some of the shootings. We realised that somebody was shooting, which

:03:35. > :03:41.we heard gun shots outside the main building. I think we did not

:03:41. > :03:50.realise the seriousness and how bad this would become until we saw a

:03:50. > :03:54.man in a police uniform shooting one by one of our friends.

:03:54. > :03:59.heard the shots and then what did you see? How close was he to the

:03:59. > :04:05.main building, where you were? Just describe how he was carrying out

:04:05. > :04:14.the shooting. Was he doing it in a frenzied way or calm way? He was

:04:14. > :04:20.very calm. I did not see him - I did not see him at first, but my

:04:20. > :04:29.friend, who was on the other side, told me that he was not running. He

:04:29. > :04:32.was moving slowly and shooting at every person he saw. Here, The

:04:32. > :04:38.Queen has expressed shock and sadness at the attacks in a message

:04:38. > :04:42.to King Harald of Norway. She extended her heartfelt sympathy to

:04:42. > :04:45.the Norwegian people. The Prime Minister said that the loss of life

:04:45. > :04:50.was absolutely horrific and on a scale that was hard to comprehend.
