:00:15. > :00:21.embassy in Cairo plunging diplomatic relations between the

:00:24. > :00:32.Colonel Gaddafi's last strongholds - NATO jets and Libyan fighters go

:00:32. > :00:42.on the offensive for Bani Walid. And winning starts for England and

:00:53. > :00:56.At least three people have been killed and more than 1,000 injured

:00:56. > :01:00.during violent clashes in the Egyptian capital. Protestors

:01:00. > :01:04.attacked the Israeli embassy with hammers and iron bars. Egyptian

:01:04. > :01:06.commandos were brought in to rescue staff from the building. The

:01:06. > :01:11.Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said the attack

:01:11. > :01:21.inflicted a "severe injury to the fabric of peace with Israel". Our

:01:21. > :01:22.

:01:22. > :01:26.Correspondent, Jonathan Head sent this report from Cairo.

:01:26. > :01:31.Peace with Israel has always been unpopular with much of the Egyptian

:01:31. > :01:35.public. With Hosni Mubarak gone, they can show it. As so often in

:01:36. > :01:42.the new Egypt, its forces were unable to control the crowd that

:01:42. > :01:47.converged on the Israeli embassy. It was an embarrassing lapse of

:01:47. > :01:51.security. More than that, it was a direct challenge to the military

:01:51. > :01:55.rulers to until the deal with Israel that has defined their

:01:55. > :02:00.country's place in the world for more than 30 years. I did not care

:02:00. > :02:05.about the risks he said, I was ready to die to pull down that flag.

:02:05. > :02:10.The morning after, and the embassy was secured. But by now it was

:02:10. > :02:16.empty. And the Egyptian flag had replaced the Star of David. That

:02:16. > :02:22.did not stop some from having another go. The fear they once

:02:22. > :02:26.fells of the soldiers, is no longer there. Seven months after the

:02:26. > :02:30.revolution, Egyptians are angry and they are angry about a lot more

:02:31. > :02:34.than Israel. These are Teachers protesting about collapsing living

:02:34. > :02:41.standards. There was so much frustration in the country, Israel

:02:41. > :02:49.will always be a tempting target. Some of these teachers earn just

:02:49. > :02:52.50 a month. The no wonder they are upset. If Egypt's new leaders

:02:52. > :02:56.cannot satisfy the hunger for change, the Democratic transition

:02:56. > :02:59.could be a rough one. Anti-Gaddafi fighters say they've

:02:59. > :03:02.entered Bani Walid, one of only four places still under the control

:03:02. > :03:06.of the ousted colonel's supporters. They've been meeting stiff

:03:06. > :03:10.resistance and fighters say there's street-to-street fighting. It's

:03:10. > :03:20.believed it could take several days to secure the town. Our World

:03:20. > :03:21.

:03:21. > :03:24.Affairs Correspondent, Andrew Harding, is outside Bani Walid.

:03:24. > :03:31.Reinforcements heading for Bani Walid, in what just might be one of

:03:31. > :03:34.the last battles of Libya's long rebellion. These and C Gaddafi

:03:34. > :03:40.fighters believe his sons might be in the town. They are not allowed

:03:40. > :03:45.to advance any further. We have come to the edge of Bani Walid. And

:03:45. > :03:51.there is fierce fighting ahead of us. Colonel Gaddafi HBOS forces are

:03:51. > :03:56.putting up a much more fiercer resistance and his men had hoped.

:03:56. > :04:00.The doctors have been very busy. Some of these men have relatives

:04:00. > :04:04.trapped inside the town. It makes the sort of attacking it very

:04:04. > :04:11.difficult. It is horrible, actually.

:04:11. > :04:16.Especially from injured people from the rocket launchers and stuff.

:04:16. > :04:22.Suddenly, we are under fire. The Colonel Gaddafi does not seem to be

:04:22. > :04:25.running short of ammunition. His enemies insist the town will fall

:04:25. > :04:29.imminently. The have managed a group themselves

:04:29. > :04:34.and push forward today. They have made good progress. They are taking

:04:34. > :04:40.territory? They are taking the gate of the city and the entrance of it

:04:40. > :04:45.and they have taken a large section of a residential area. These

:04:45. > :04:51.fighters have not yet surrounded the town. But the hope is still is

:04:51. > :04:55.that Colonel Gaddafi's bitter end as well make a way, rather than

:04:55. > :04:57.make a last stand here. More than 190 people drowned when a

:04:57. > :05:03.Tanzanian ferry overloaded with passengers sank off the island of

:05:03. > :05:07.Zanzibar in east Africa. Over 1,000 people were on board - many were

:05:07. > :05:10.children. The boat capsized at night hampering rescue efforts.

:05:10. > :05:16.Latest reports say more than 600 survived. The government has

:05:16. > :05:18.announced three days of mourning for the victims.

:05:18. > :05:22.Ceremonies marking the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks are

:05:22. > :05:27.taking place in the United States. At the Pentagon, a wreath was laid,

:05:27. > :05:29.in memory of the 184 people who died there. In his weekly address

:05:29. > :05:32.to the nation, President Obama vowed to continue the fight against

:05:32. > :05:42.international terror and said the US was stronger a decade on from

:05:42. > :05:46.

:05:46. > :05:50.9/11. Jon Sopel is at Ground Zero. President Obama Willie the nation

:05:50. > :05:55.tomorrow in remembering the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives

:05:55. > :05:59.10 years ago. With the memorial behind me being opened for the

:05:59. > :06:04.first times the two families of the victims. They have been other

:06:04. > :06:08.ceremonies to pay tribute to those who died.

:06:08. > :06:14.A solemn moment for the former President, George Bush and his wife

:06:14. > :06:21.at the Pentagon. Remembering those killed here on 9/11. It was a day

:06:21. > :06:28.that changed his presidency. And Al-Qaeda piloted plane slammed into

:06:28. > :06:33.the symbol of America's military might. The benches are memorial to

:06:33. > :06:37.the 184 victims, the youngest was only three. As New York prepares

:06:37. > :06:42.the to remember those killed here, the police presence has intensified

:06:42. > :06:47.in response to what US officials say is a credible threat. American

:06:47. > :06:53.media are reporting Al-Qaeda plotter to get two US citizens to

:06:53. > :07:01.detonate car bombs. The President says America won't be intimidated.

:07:01. > :07:05.As Americans refuse to live in fear. BS, we face are determined foe and

:07:06. > :07:10.they are determined. But we will remain vigilant. In Manhattan a

:07:10. > :07:14.flak flies for every person who perished on 9/11. Tomorrow,

:07:15. > :07:24.President's past and present were set aside their differences at four

:07:24. > :07:28.morning, as the nation reflects on the devastating attacks 10 years on.

:07:28. > :07:32.There is tight security at ground zero. It has become even tighter,

:07:32. > :07:36.following the credible and specific Al-Qaeda threat the authorities say

:07:36. > :07:39.they have received. Road blocks have been set up and security has

:07:39. > :07:44.been tightened on bridges and tunnels to ensure tomorrow's

:07:44. > :07:47.anniversary passes without incident. From ground zero, back to the

:07:47. > :07:49.studio. Northern Ireland's Deputy First

:07:49. > :07:52.Minster, Martin McGuinness, has called on his Sinn Fein party

:07:52. > :07:55.colleagues to, as he put it, "love" Unionists. Speaking at the Sinn

:07:55. > :08:00.Fein party conference in Belfast, Mr McGuinness said Republicans need

:08:00. > :08:03.to reach out to Unionists in order to cement the peace process.

:08:03. > :08:07.Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 22-

:08:07. > :08:11.year-old mother and her baby son died in a house fire overnight, in

:08:11. > :08:13.Chatham in Kent. Three other people are being treated in hospital. One

:08:13. > :08:19.suffered serious burns and is said to be in a life-threatening

:08:19. > :08:22.condition. It's believed all five people came from the same family.

:08:22. > :08:26.England and Scotland have played their opening games of the Rugby

:08:26. > :08:29.World Cup in New Zealand, with both sides leaving it late to come from

:08:29. > :08:33.behind and win. England trailed Argentina for much of their match

:08:33. > :08:43.but clung on to win 13-9. And Scotland rallied to beat Romania

:08:43. > :08:51.34-24, as Joe Wilson reports. Wearing black they say is

:08:51. > :08:55.flattering, but this was embarrassing. Two offsides and

:08:55. > :08:59.another one there. England irritated the referee and gave away

:08:59. > :09:03.so many penalties, Argentina only had to succeed with a few of them.

:09:03. > :09:09.In the last World Cup Argentina were sensational. England could not

:09:09. > :09:13.find a way through. Of the rare times they ran towards Argentina,

:09:13. > :09:19.the defence stood up. There was great spec -- respect Argentina's

:09:19. > :09:24.tenacity. Into the second half, England needed kicks, five

:09:24. > :09:29.penalties missed. That really was Jonny Wilkinson. 13 minutes left

:09:29. > :09:34.England 9-3 down, and a flash of information -- inspiration from Ben

:09:34. > :09:38.young. That try converted plus a penalty gave England the game by

:09:38. > :09:44.just four points. In some ways, Scotland's victory over Romania was

:09:44. > :09:48.even more nerve-racking. Romania ranked 17 in the world shoved of

:09:48. > :09:52.the Scotland scrum into the ground. They let the game with just 12

:09:52. > :09:57.minutes to go. To their credit Scollan's response was swift and

:09:57. > :10:03.direct. With time running out they stepped it up. Two late tries and
