:00:23. > :00:26.Good morning. Long queues of up to two and a half hours at Heathrow

:00:26. > :00:30.airport are causing huge damage to the reputation of the UK three

:00:30. > :00:33.months before the start of the Olympic Games. That's the view of

:00:33. > :00:35.the chairman of the Home Affairs Committee, who has now called the

:00:35. > :00:45.Immigration Minister to give evidence to MPs about border

:00:45. > :00:47.

:00:47. > :00:51.controls. Our correspondent Richard As you say, some up passengers in

:00:51. > :00:56.the past week have had to wait over two hours to get through

:00:56. > :00:59.immigration at Heathrow. The airport's owners say that the

:00:59. > :01:02.situation they are becoming increasingly frustrated about but

:01:02. > :01:08.it's beyond their control so the pressure is on the Home Office and

:01:08. > :01:13.the UK border agency to tackle the problem. This was Heathrow's

:01:13. > :01:16.Terminal 5 last night, frustrated passengers in lengthy queues. Some

:01:16. > :01:22.waited more than two Abbas to get to immigration where they found

:01:22. > :01:26.only a handful of desks Open -- two hours. The UK border agency says it

:01:26. > :01:30.tries to minimise disruption but can't compromise security. He

:01:30. > :01:35.throws owners say it an acceptable, though, and MPs are looking for

:01:35. > :01:40.answers, too. The call for the government is quite clear. You

:01:40. > :01:47.either get more resources to deal with the issue now, not just after

:01:47. > :01:53.27th July for the Olympic period, or you look after we checks have

:01:53. > :01:56.been reimposed. Damian green has now been called to appear before

:01:56. > :02:00.the Home Affairs Select Committee next month to account for the

:02:00. > :02:04.problems. With the Olympics looming, he will have to reassure MPs the

:02:04. > :02:10.border agency can cope. And it seems like these won't be repeated

:02:10. > :02:14.all through the summer. Well, I've spoken to the

:02:14. > :02:19.authorities at Heathrow who say there were longer than usual delays

:02:19. > :02:22.this morning but things are back to normal. The problem, it seems, no

:02:23. > :02:26.one has the confidence that these long delays of three hours won't

:02:26. > :02:28.happen again. Richard, thank you. A senior

:02:28. > :02:31.Conservative has suggested there could be a Whitehall investigation

:02:31. > :02:35.into whether the Culture Secretary breached the ministerial code after

:02:35. > :02:37.the Leveson Inquiry confirmed it could not rule on his actions.

:02:37. > :02:42.Jeremy Hunt is under pressure over his contacts with News Corporation

:02:42. > :02:50.as the company sought to take full control of BSkyB. Our political

:02:50. > :02:54.correspondent Alan Soady is here. What happens now? From the

:02:54. > :02:56.Government's perspective, they would like everyone to wait until

:02:56. > :03:01.Jeremy hands goes to the Leverson Inquiry into press standards in a

:03:01. > :03:06.couple of weeks' time and gives his account, of events. And they feel

:03:06. > :03:14.that will be enough to clear his name in this -- Jeremy Hunter. And

:03:14. > :03:18.show he didn't do any special favours for the Murdochs and BSkyB.

:03:18. > :03:21.Lord Levison has not done the Government a favour. He has said he

:03:21. > :03:25.will not civic culture secretary any earlier, so this drags on for

:03:25. > :03:28.at least another couple of weeks and he has said is not his job to

:03:28. > :03:32.decide whether a minister has breached the ministerial code of

:03:32. > :03:36.conduct, and that is what there is pressure from the Government's

:03:36. > :03:41.opponents to have a investigation into. The government is saying, in

:03:41. > :03:43.due course, if there are still outstanding issues after Jeremy

:03:43. > :03:48.Hunt has been to the Leverson Inquiry, if perhaps they could be

:03:48. > :03:51.something else. Opponents say, why not just get on with it now?

:03:51. > :03:54.Thank you. The European Union foreign policy chief, Catherine

:03:54. > :03:56.Ashton, is in Burma to demonstrate support for recent political

:03:56. > :03:59.reforms there. She has held talks with the pro-democracy leader Aung

:03:59. > :04:03.San Suu Kyi and will meet ministers of the military-backed government,

:04:03. > :04:06.as well as opening a new European Union office in Rangoon.

:04:06. > :04:09.Police in Malaysia have clashed with demonstrators in the capital,

:04:09. > :04:11.Kuala Lumpur. They fired fired tear gas and water cannon at thousands

:04:11. > :04:17.of protestors who are demanding electoral reform ahead of national

:04:17. > :04:22.polls in the country in the next few months. A similar rally last

:04:22. > :04:25.July ended in violence and hundreds of arrests.

:04:25. > :04:29.Police hunting a man suspected of two murders in the north of England

:04:29. > :04:32.say they have had a number of reported sightings. The public have

:04:32. > :04:34.been warned not to approach James Allen, who's being sought in

:04:34. > :04:38.connection with the deaths of 81- year-old Colin Dunford in

:04:38. > :04:48.Middlesbrough and 50-year-old Julie Davis in Whitby. Our correspondent

:04:48. > :04:48.

:04:48. > :04:53.Danny Savage is at Cleveland Police Overnight, police say they have had

:04:53. > :04:57.various reports of possible sightings of James Alan. They have

:04:57. > :05:02.come from the Scarborough and Whitby areas, North Yorkshire coast

:05:02. > :05:05.and also from in Middlesbrough. They say they are following up on

:05:05. > :05:09.all of those reports but still the man they are looking for remains at

:05:09. > :05:13.large. The hunt for James Alan came to

:05:14. > :05:17.Scarborough last night. Police searched a bed-and-breakfast in the

:05:17. > :05:23.seaside resort. There was a reported sighting of the man they

:05:23. > :05:27.want. But they didn't find him. And the man hunt goes on. This is who

:05:27. > :05:34.they are looking for. The 35-year- old is fight that seven, and has

:05:34. > :05:38.tattoos on both arms. -- 5 ft 7. Police believe he is responsible

:05:38. > :05:42.for two brutal murders. 81 euros Colin Dunford was found dead on

:05:42. > :05:47.Monday at his home suffering serious head injuries. Then, on

:05:47. > :05:51.Wednesday, 50-year-old Julie Davis's body was discovered in

:05:51. > :05:56.Whitby. She was found by her sister and had also suffered severe head

:05:56. > :06:00.injuries. It emerged yesterday Colin Dunford was a former

:06:00. > :06:05.neighbour of the wanted man. More than 100 officers from the

:06:05. > :06:09.Cleveland and North Yorkshire forces are taking part in the hunt.

:06:09. > :06:14.People in the area are being merged -- urged you to lock their doors

:06:14. > :06:18.and windows and to be cautious. Detectives admit he has a criminal

:06:18. > :06:26.record and is a known drug user. They are urging him to give himself

:06:26. > :06:30.up. And just a reminder of what police said to him last night

:06:30. > :06:37.yesterday, they said, stop now, do the rite thing, consider the

:06:37. > :06:41.consequences. You have inflicted death on two families. Stopham hand

:06:41. > :06:45.yourself in but previous experience shows the most likely scenario here

:06:45. > :06:49.is he will be spotted by a member of the public. It will be reported

:06:49. > :06:54.and police will follow it up and the police are still following up,
