:00:08. > :00:16.Photographs of the Duchess of Cambridge sunbathing topless are

:00:16. > :00:19.published again - this time in an Irish newspaper. As the Royal

:00:19. > :00:22.couple continue their tour of South East Asia, their spokesperson says

:00:22. > :00:27.publication is motivated by greed. The Taliban attack Camp Bastion in

:00:27. > :00:30.Afghanistan, where Prince Harry is based. Two US Marines are killed.

:00:30. > :00:40.And, the Chief Constable of West Yorkshire, Sir Norman Bettison, is

:00:40. > :00:47.

:00:47. > :00:53.referred to the police watchdog over his role at Hillsborough. Good

:00:54. > :00:57.afternoon. The Irish Daily Star has published photos of the Duchess of

:00:57. > :01:00.Cambridge sunbathing topless while on holiday in France. The pictures

:01:00. > :01:05.appeared in the Irish edition of the paper, but not editions

:01:05. > :01:08.published in Northern Ireland or on the British mainland. A St James's

:01:08. > :01:13.Palace spokeswoman said there could be no motivation for this action

:01:13. > :01:16.other than greed. Our Royal correspondent Peter Hunt is

:01:16. > :01:26.following the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their tour in Malaysia

:01:26. > :01:30.and sent this report. Even in a remote Borneo jungle,

:01:30. > :01:35.there's no escape. No matter how high the Royals climb. In William

:01:35. > :01:39.and Kate's case, it's more than 100 feet up, inside one of the world's

:01:39. > :01:42.oldest rainforests. But there's been little respite as they learn

:01:42. > :01:47.firsthand about conservation work here in this part of Malaysia.

:01:47. > :01:52.First, a French magazine invaded their privacy in a grotesque

:01:52. > :02:02.fashion, they say. Now, also a newspaper, much closer to home.

:02:02. > :02:05.

:02:05. > :02:09.The Irish Daily Star, part-owned... Mr Desmond's company say they abhor

:02:09. > :02:15.the actions of one of their own papers. A spokesman for William and

:02:15. > :02:17.Kate said the tabloid's only motivation must have been greed.

:02:17. > :02:21.Kaeult Middleton is another of the fantastic line of celebrities

:02:21. > :02:26.people are interested in their lives, whether it be Julia Roberts,

:02:26. > :02:30.whether it be Rihanna, that's what Kate Middleton is. She's not our

:02:30. > :02:33.future Queen. A life of intense skaout skaout scrutiny lies ahead

:02:33. > :02:37.for Kate. The couple are taking the French magazine to court to stop

:02:37. > :02:41.them using the pictures again. William and Kate must now decide

:02:41. > :02:45.what, if anything, to do about the Irish Daily Star.

:02:45. > :02:49.The couple will leave this country and head to two tiny South Pacific

:02:49. > :02:53.nations, the Solomon islands and Tuvalu. The naked photos have been

:02:53. > :03:03.dominating their thoughts. William and Kate will be hoping they won't

:03:03. > :03:05.dominate the rest of their tour. The Taliban have attacked a base in

:03:05. > :03:08.Afghanistan where Prince Harry is stationed, killing two US marines.

:03:08. > :03:11.He was unharmed in the incident. American officials said small arms,

:03:11. > :03:14.rockets and mortars were used to attack the perimeter of Camp

:03:14. > :03:17.Bastion, a British base home to troops from several countries. As

:03:17. > :03:21.Jonathan Beale reports, the Taliban claim they carried out the attack

:03:21. > :03:28.in response to an amateur US-made film mocking Islam.

:03:28. > :03:30.This video released by the Taliban claims to show the aftermath of the

:03:30. > :03:36.attack. With smoke rising from what's supposed to be one of the

:03:36. > :03:41.most heavily defended and secure military bases in Afghanistan. Camp

:03:41. > :03:45.Bastion, where thousands of US and British troops are based.

:03:45. > :03:50.It's also now home to Prince Harry, who arrived here just one week ago

:03:50. > :03:55.as an Apache helicopter pilot. Unlike in 2008, when he was last in

:03:55. > :03:59.Helmand, under a media blackout that was eventually broken, this

:03:59. > :04:04.time the Ministry of Defence has made his presence public.

:04:04. > :04:08.The Taliban have already said they will target him but NATO insist

:04:08. > :04:12.Captain Wales was never in any danger during the attack.

:04:12. > :04:15.The question now is how were insurgents able to penetrate such a

:04:15. > :04:20.fortified military base? The sprawling camp in Helmand is

:04:20. > :04:25.situated in the desert. It's surrounded by a fence, with

:04:25. > :04:29.surveillance equipment and guards. Around 20 insurgents launched their

:04:29. > :04:34.attack last night under the cover of darkness. A suicide bomber was

:04:34. > :04:39.used to breach the camp's wall. Taliban fighters then opened fire

:04:39. > :04:44.using machine guns and grenades. Two American marines were killed,

:04:44. > :04:49.buildings on the base were damaged along with a number of US aircraft.

:04:49. > :04:55.We are always concerned and worried about security of our soldiers and

:04:55. > :04:58.we look at our measures, security measures, if they are appropriate

:04:58. > :05:03.and we adopt them if required and we take certainly lessons learned

:05:03. > :05:06.from those attacks and implement those into a new procedures, if

:05:06. > :05:10.required. The Taliban say this assault which

:05:10. > :05:14.appears to have been planned and co-ordinated was revenge for the

:05:14. > :05:17.film which has sparked protests across the Islamic world. They've

:05:17. > :05:20.also warned there will be further attacks.

:05:20. > :05:23.Jonathan is in Kabul now. You also said in your report that they

:05:23. > :05:30.claimed that they were targeting Prince Harry. What's your reading

:05:30. > :05:35.of that? Well, right from the outset the Taliban made clear that

:05:35. > :05:39.this attack was linked to that film that's caused outrage in the

:05:39. > :05:43.Islamic world. That said, later statements said they targeted this

:05:43. > :05:47.base because of Prince Harry. You have to view that as partly Taliban

:05:47. > :05:51.propaganda. They want to get as much publicity as they can out of

:05:51. > :05:54.this brazen assault. The bottom line is that NATO says his life was

:05:54. > :05:59.never in any danger. I understand he was more than a kilometre away

:05:59. > :06:02.from where the attack took place on the US side of the air base.

:06:02. > :06:06.Nevertheless, there will be questions about his security. There

:06:06. > :06:10.is a review of the base security by the Americans and the British

:06:10. > :06:20.taking place at the moment. But I am told that this incident will not

:06:20. > :06:20.

:06:20. > :06:23.affect his deployment. He will be there for another four months.

:06:23. > :06:25.And, in a separate attack in Afghanistan, a soldier from 1st

:06:25. > :06:28.Battalion Grenadier Guards has been killed. The Ministry of Defence

:06:28. > :06:31.said the soldier's vehicle hit a roadside bomb yesterday in the

:06:31. > :06:35.Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand province. His family has been

:06:36. > :06:38.informed. One of the people allegedly

:06:38. > :06:41.involved in making the film, which has sparked protests among Muslims

:06:41. > :06:43.across the world, has been questioned by federal officers in

:06:43. > :06:46.Los Angeles. It came as the demonstrations spread to Australia,

:06:46. > :06:51.where there were clashes between hundreds of protestors and police

:06:51. > :07:01.at the US consulate in Sydney. Some carried placards reading, "Behead

:07:01. > :07:02.

:07:02. > :07:05.all those who insult the Prophet". A complaint against the Chief

:07:05. > :07:07.Constable of West Yorkshire Police - which emerged following an

:07:07. > :07:10.independent panel report into the Hillsborough disaster - has been

:07:10. > :07:12.referred to the police watchdog. Sir Norman Bettison will be

:07:12. > :07:14.investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission

:07:14. > :07:18.following disclosures about the conduct of officers investigating

:07:18. > :07:22.the tragedy. Sir Norman was a chief inspector with South Yorkshire at

:07:22. > :07:27.the time. Ed Thomas is at West Yorkshire police headquarters.

:07:27. > :07:32.What's the specific complaint against Sir Norman? Well, the calls

:07:32. > :07:35.of the families of some of those who died at hills parais that Sir -

:07:35. > :07:41.- Hillsborough is that Sir Norman tried to cover up what happened in

:07:41. > :07:45.19 9 -- 1989. The panel found 164 statements this been altered by

:07:45. > :07:49.seniors officers as they tried to blame Liverpool fans for the 96

:07:50. > :07:54.deaths. Now, in 1989 Sir Norman Bettison was a chief inspector with

:07:54. > :07:57.South Yorkshire police and he admits he was asked by an Assistant

:07:57. > :08:01.Chief Constable to look into what happened so they could find out

:08:01. > :08:05.what went wrong. For the past 15 years he's been clear he did not

:08:05. > :08:11.change a statement, he says, and he was not asked to change any

:08:11. > :08:14.statements. This Independent Police Complaints Commission will try

:08:14. > :08:19.establish facts about about what happened. What has he had to say

:08:19. > :08:23.about it? We have had a statement from Sir Norman, he said that he

:08:23. > :08:29.was pleased that this was now being referred to the IPCC. He said he

:08:29. > :08:32.welcomed this step and said that this moves to a more formal and

:08:32. > :08:36.legal inquiry was what had to happen. We have also had reaction

:08:36. > :08:41.from Trevor Hicks, he lost his two daughters in Hillsborough in 1989.

:08:41. > :08:46.He said, the wheels of justice are turning and that we will present

:08:46. > :08:50.evidence to the IPCC about what we know happened in the days and weeks

:08:50. > :08:59.after Hillsborough. He said that he hopes Sir Norman Bettison would

:08:59. > :09:01.have action taken against him. Thank you.

:09:01. > :09:04.Horse racing - and there was a surprise at Doncaster this

:09:04. > :09:07.afternoon as Camelot, the favourite for the St Leger, was beaten into

:09:07. > :09:10.second place by Encke, trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni and ridden by

:09:10. > :09:13.Mickael Barzalona. Camelot was racing to become the first Triple

:09:13. > :09:20.Crown winner since 1970 and despite challenging with two furlongs to go,

:09:20. > :09:22.couldn't catch Encke, who won by three quarters of a length.

:09:22. > :09:25.Football - there is plenty of action in the Barclay's Premier

:09:25. > :09:29.League today. Arsenal beat Southampton 6-1, while Manchester

:09:29. > :09:32.United and Fulham also earned three points from their matches.

:09:32. > :09:35.Meanwhile in Scotland, St Johnstone came from behind to claim a shock

:09:35. > :09:39.victory over Celtic. Rowan Vine scored his first goal for the
