:00:21. > :00:28.Good afternoon. Rescue workers are trying to reach

:00:29. > :00:31.the areas of the Philippines worst hit by Typhoon Haiyan. The Red Cross

:00:32. > :00:36.estimate more than 1000 people have been killed in one area alone. Many

:00:37. > :00:46.remote communities are still cut off. We have the latest from Manila.

:00:47. > :00:51.The day after the storm, and large parts of the central Philippines now

:00:52. > :00:55.under water. On the island of Cebu, people doing their best to find

:00:56. > :01:05.their way home, many stranded and desperate. What will I do now? My

:01:06. > :01:11.house is destroyed. I did not anticipate the winds to be this

:01:12. > :01:16.strong. Typhoon Haiyan's wind has left a trail of destruction. Aid

:01:17. > :01:21.agencies are warning tens of thousands of people may have lost

:01:22. > :01:28.their homes. It is terrible, the winds were so strong. This is a

:01:29. > :01:33.tragedy. And the number of tragedies -- casualties looks set to rise as

:01:34. > :01:37.more bodies were recovered. In many areas, power is down and

:01:38. > :01:44.communication is difficult. The relief effort is under way and the

:01:45. > :01:50.military has begun to fly in aid. This typhoon is off the scale. It is

:01:51. > :01:57.a threat to Vietnam, Hong Kong and the rest of south China. The massive

:01:58. > :02:01.scale of the devastation means it could be several days before the

:02:02. > :02:09.full extent of the damage, and the loss of life, is known.

:02:10. > :02:12.Here, BT sport is paying almost ?900 million to broadcast Champions'

:02:13. > :02:18.League football exclusively for three years. The record-breaking

:02:19. > :02:25.dealers for the rights to more than 350 matches including the Roper

:02:26. > :02:33.league. -- the Roper league. Any more

:02:34. > :02:37.details on this? It is fair to say this could be the most significant

:02:38. > :02:43.result of the current football season. Four years of football fans

:02:44. > :02:49.have grown used to watching live Champions' League matches from

:02:50. > :02:56.stadiums like this behind me on both Sky and to rest on your television

:02:57. > :03:03.in the form of ITV. From 2015 that will no longer be the case. BT sport

:03:04. > :03:09.have gone all out to secure these rights. They hope that will drive

:03:10. > :03:14.customers towards their television, broadband and TV services. Some will

:03:15. > :03:20.question whether or not they can afford it. Fans will be disappointed

:03:21. > :03:25.that they have two spend even more. It will be good news for the clubs

:03:26. > :03:33.in Europe and the players who can expect even more wages. The Prime

:03:34. > :03:38.Minister has said the conviction of a Royal Marine for murdering --

:03:39. > :03:44.murdering an injured insurgent in Afghanistan should not besmirch the

:03:45. > :03:49.history of the Royal Marines. David Cameron said it had been an

:03:50. > :03:55.appalling case, but it in no way represented the spirit and the

:03:56. > :03:59.history of the Royal Marines. Talks in Geneva over around's

:04:00. > :04:04.nuclear programme are continuing for a third on scheduled day. In

:04:05. > :04:07.exchange for tighter controls on its nuclear programme, foreign ministers

:04:08. > :04:11.are trying to reach a deal that could relax sanctions on Iran.

:04:12. > :04:17.Israel has warned the Iranians government is being offered too much

:04:18. > :04:22.for too little. William Hague sounded upbeat ahead of talks this

:04:23. > :04:26.morning. These negotiations have made very good progress and continue

:04:27. > :04:33.to make good progress, it is fair to say. There are still important

:04:34. > :04:37.issues to resolve. Clearly, they are not over yet and we will have to

:04:38. > :04:46.give a lot of time and attention to those issues. Let's now go to our

:04:47. > :04:52.correspondent in Geneva. James, any thoughts on when we will see

:04:53. > :04:56.progress here? Very difficult to tell, but we may know soon enough.

:04:57. > :05:03.Half an hour ago the most critical meeting of all began. It was between

:05:04. > :05:10.John Kerry, and Iran's chief negotiator. Five hours of talks were

:05:11. > :05:14.held last night and they are beginning again today. It has become

:05:15. > :05:22.the forum for the most extensive high-level US, Iran talks since the

:05:23. > :05:27.Islamic Revolution of 1979. Other people are here as well, the Foreign

:05:28. > :05:33.Minister of Russia flew in, the Chinese Foreign Minister is on his

:05:34. > :05:37.way. Will we get a deal today? William Hague thinks perhaps not.

:05:38. > :05:44.The French Foreign Minister has said he is not happy with the text of the

:05:45. > :05:50.first step agreement. They continue to talk. A man has died and another

:05:51. > :05:55.seriously injured after a shooting in a house in Leeds. Police say the

:05:56. > :06:00.two men were found with shotgun wounds yesterday. Both were taken to

:06:01. > :06:07.hospital where the 21-year-old later died.

:06:08. > :06:14.Open auditions had started in Bristol for the two leading roles in

:06:15. > :06:19.the next Star Wars film. The original movie appeared in 1977,

:06:20. > :06:25.and the franchise went on to dominate at the box office. Today's

:06:26. > :06:33.auditions will be four episode seven due out in 2015.

:06:34. > :06:34.That is it for now, our next news bulletin will be at
