:02:01. > :02:04.arrested and charged in connection with Mikaeel's death. The family
:02:05. > :02:08.moved from Fife to Edinburgh less than two years ago. The community
:02:09. > :02:12.they galvanised to help in the surge coming together once again yesterday

:05:44. > :05:47.force him to apologise in a way no law you would advise and with which
:05:48. > :05:53.you should not apologise for all kinds of reasons. So why can't Nick
:05:54. > :05:56.Clegg, as party leader, decide what happens to Lord Rennard? And the
:05:57. > :06:02.party rules, the Chief Whip in the House of Lords control Parliamentary
:06:03. > :06:06.membership. They may decide to let Lord Rennard back into the party.
:06:07. > :06:11.But, if not, you can challenge that position. If he does, party rules
:06:12. > :06:16.state peers can stage a vote over whether an individual regains the
:06:17. > :06:19.Lib Dem Whip. Those who made the allegations against Lord Rennard say
:06:20. > :06:25.they are increasingly frustrated with the process. What is at fault
:06:26. > :06:27.here is not the interpretation of the evidence but the fact that the
:06:28. > :06:32.Lib Dem membership rules state that you need to have a criminal burden
:06:33. > :06:35.of proof before you can be rejected out of party, so the question is has
:06:36. > :06:41.Lord Rennard wrote the party into disrepute? I think everybody accepts
:06:42. > :06:44.the Lib Dems are in an absolute mess about this and, what ever the
:06:45. > :06:49.acceptable definition of disrepute is, I think we achieved it. Tomorrow
