:00:21. > :00:29.Good afternoon. Rain and strong winds are continuing to hit southern

:00:30. > :00:35.parts of the UK with warnings of more floods and gales to come. The

:00:36. > :00:40.Met office has warned of wins heading up to 80 mph. The

:00:41. > :00:44.Environment Agency has issued almost 200 flood warnings and three severe

:00:45. > :00:48.flood warnings, which means that is a danger to life. Our correspondent,

:00:49. > :00:52.Chris Buckler, is at Looe in Cornwall.

:00:53. > :00:57.The days of wind and waves have not gone away. You can see behind me, it

:00:58. > :01:02.is extremely blustery, and that is true across the south coast. It was

:01:03. > :01:06.not as rough night as many people predicted, but they are still

:01:07. > :01:12.waiting to see what today will bring. That is particularly true in

:01:13. > :01:20.communities like King Santa. Just up the coast, they are still counting

:01:21. > :01:25.the cost of days of damage. -- Kingsand. The battered beauty of

:01:26. > :01:28.this coastline is being tested. It has found itself on the front

:01:29. > :01:31.line of this latest wave of winter storms, and the Cornish village of

:01:32. > :01:37.Kingsand has spent most of this week being pummelled by the sheer force

:01:38. > :01:41.of water. People have spent days worrying about their own homes, now

:01:42. > :01:43.they are united in concerns for this century-old clocktower. The

:01:44. > :01:48.building's base has been eroded by wave after wave. Everyone is

:01:49. > :01:51.rallying together to do everything they can to make sure that we can

:01:52. > :01:55.protect and preserve that for the community and people in the future.

:01:56. > :02:03.You are still facing this? You cannot stop the weather. Each high

:02:04. > :02:06.tide brings concern and there were real fears about last night but

:02:07. > :02:09.today there is relief that the weather was calmer than earlier in

:02:10. > :02:12.the week when property here was badly damaged. It is not just

:02:13. > :02:16.buildings showing the scars. I was with my son, Sam. A huge wave hit

:02:17. > :02:24.the door, took the door off its hinges. It broke the frame and took

:02:25. > :02:28.the both of us up the hallway on our backs. If you think of the waves out

:02:29. > :02:34.there, look behind you, a huge wave. You're still worried? Marginally.

:02:35. > :02:44.This is a community still standing after swells and storms. But they

:02:45. > :02:50.are braced for more. And you can see the strength of the

:02:51. > :02:54.ways today. There are, of course, concerns as well. You only have to

:02:55. > :02:59.look at the Environment Agency's website to see the number of flood

:03:00. > :03:05.warnings in place. There are also questions about the government's

:03:06. > :03:08.response to this. As far as the Somerset levels go, the Prime

:03:09. > :03:13.Minister was written to by a farmers' leader, requesting money

:03:14. > :03:20.for maintenance and dredging. At the time, the then floods minister

:03:21. > :03:24.rejected that request for cash. That has now changed. The department

:03:25. > :03:28.responsible says the situation has changed. As the weather continues,

:03:29. > :03:32.many will be asking if it has all come too late. Our correspondent

:03:33. > :03:35.there. Three Metropolitan Police officers

:03:36. > :03:37.have been arrested on suspicion of possessing and distributing

:03:38. > :03:43."extreme" pornography via mobile phones. The officers are from the

:03:44. > :03:45.Diplomatic Protection Group, which guards foreign embassies and

:03:46. > :03:48.controls access to New Scotland Yard and Downing Street. Our home affairs

:03:49. > :03:54.correspondent, Danny Shaw, is in Central London. What more can you

:03:55. > :03:59.tell squares Mike these are more unwelcome headlines for the

:04:00. > :04:01.Metropolitan Police, and for the Diplomatic Protection Group.

:04:02. > :04:06.That is the unit that has been at the centre of the controversy

:04:07. > :04:10.involving the former Chief Whip, Andrew Mitchell. The so-called

:04:11. > :04:16.Plebgate affair. Three police constables from the group were

:04:17. > :04:19.arrested in December on suspicion of the possession and distribution of

:04:20. > :04:25.extreme images via their mobile phones. Scotland Yard says these

:04:26. > :04:30.images were not of children but were often extreme sexual nature. The

:04:31. > :04:35.allegations are that they were in some way legal images. A file has

:04:36. > :04:39.been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service to determine whether charges

:04:40. > :04:44.will be brought. Another officer with the group has been interviewed

:04:45. > :04:50.in connection with the enquiry. One of the officers involved had been

:04:51. > :04:54.placed on restricted duties as a result of the investigation into the

:04:55. > :05:00.Andrew Mitchell affair. It is called operation Alice. He is now

:05:01. > :05:04.suspended. The others are on restricted duties. The Metropolitan

:05:05. > :05:08.Police is conducting its own internal investigation to establish

:05:09. > :05:17.whether these images were exchanged while the men were on duty for the

:05:18. > :05:20.Metropolitan Police. Princess Cristina, the youngest

:05:21. > :05:23.daughter of Spain's King Juan Carlos, has appeared in court for

:05:24. > :05:27.questioning, in connection with a corruption scandal involving her

:05:28. > :05:33.husband's business affairs. Tom Burridge reports from the court in

:05:34. > :05:36.Mallorca. Captured by countless cameras, for

:05:37. > :05:43.the first time ever, a member of Spain's Royal family arriving to be

:05:44. > :05:50.questioned in court. Princess Cristina is being investigated over

:05:51. > :05:54.a corruption scandal. Her husband is accused of defrauding millions of

:05:55. > :05:57.euros of public money. And she is alleged to have used some of that

:05:58. > :06:00.money to cover personal expenses. She will be questioned here,

:06:01. > :06:06.opposite a photo of her father, the King. The scandal has damaged the

:06:07. > :06:16.popularity of King Juan Carlos and he has had a difficult few years.

:06:17. > :06:19.The low point, this photo taken when he was hunting elephants in Botswana

:06:20. > :06:25.while his citizens were suffering a critical moment in the economic

:06:26. > :06:28.crisis back home. There is no doubt that the scandal has caused

:06:29. > :06:31.significant damage to the reputation of Spain's royals, so when the

:06:32. > :06:33.princess is answering questions in court, she will not only be

:06:34. > :06:44.defending her credibility, but that of the monarchy in Spain. Tom

:06:45. > :06:46.Burridge, BBC News. Woody Allen has denied his adopted

:06:47. > :06:52.daughter's allegations that he sexually abused her, in a letter to

:06:53. > :06:55.the New York Times. Last week, in the same newspaper, Dylan Farrow

:06:56. > :07:00.claimed the film-maker abused her in 1992 when she was seven years old.

:07:01. > :07:03.Allen insisted his daughter had been "coached" into making the claims by

:07:04. > :07:07.her mother, Mia Farrow, Allen's ex partner.
