:00:57. > :01:00.Labour has accused the Home Secretary Theresa May of

:01:01. > :01:05.breaking the Ministerial Code, over her row with a cabinet colleague.

:01:06. > :01:08.The Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said Mrs May had to explain

:01:09. > :01:10.her actions in the argument over alleged

:01:11. > :01:16.This morning the Foreign Secretary tried to draw a line under the row.

:01:17. > :01:26.This report from our political correspondent Alan Soady.

:01:27. > :01:32.Two senior ministers. Two conservatives and a split at the

:01:33. > :01:37.heart of government. Another senior Tory did his best today to play down

:01:38. > :01:41.the scale of the rift between his colleagues. That has been a

:01:42. > :01:47.disciplinary matter which the Prime Minister has dealt with in a very

:01:48. > :01:51.firm, clear way. But the main thing, as you said, is the issue itself.

:01:52. > :01:54.Tackling extremism in schools. as you said, is the issue itself.

:01:55. > :02:01.Tackling extremism in But it has led to another day of negative headlines

:02:02. > :02:05.over a row over alleged Islamic extremism in schools. The row became

:02:06. > :02:11.public after a briefing to a news pauper -- newspaper. The Labour

:02:12. > :02:16.opposite number wants to know about the role of Theresa May herself. We

:02:17. > :02:21.have so far heard nothing from Theresa May herself, although it

:02:22. > :02:25.looks clear that she has breached the ministerial code by writing and

:02:26. > :02:32.authorising this letter. The Prime Minister needs to act. More than 20

:02:33. > :02:35.schools in Birmingham have been investigated about the allegations

:02:36. > :02:40.of a hardline Islamist plot to influence how they are run. A report

:02:41. > :02:45.will be published tomorrow. Politically, Theresa May will be

:02:46. > :02:50.feeling glum, having lost one of her closest advisers. Michael Gove

:02:51. > :02:54.escapes with making an apology. But tomorrow he could suffer more

:02:55. > :03:00.embarrassment when he faces MPs. Alan is here in the studio with me.

:03:01. > :03:05.How bad is this for Theresa May? Undoubtedly she is wounded by this

:03:06. > :03:09.whole episode. Add to that Labour's allegation that she broke the

:03:10. > :03:14.ministerial code of conduct brings more pressure because she will be

:03:15. > :03:18.asked again and again whether she personally authorised the leaking of

:03:19. > :03:22.the letter that criticised Michael Gove, the letter that is at the

:03:23. > :03:26.centre of this whole row. That said, Downing Street is making it clear

:03:27. > :03:31.that it considers this matter to have been resolved. The only problem

:03:32. > :03:35.is the cause of this argument has not been. Tomorrow, when there is

:03:36. > :03:38.the release of the report into schools in Birmingham, if they

:03:39. > :03:42.suggest there has been some extremist Islamist activity, that

:03:43. > :03:46.could lead to a blame game. Would it be Michael Gove's department to

:03:47. > :03:52.blame for not overseeing the schools properly, or Theresa May's

:03:53. > :03:55.department for not tackling extremism? Thank you.

:03:56. > :03:58.The former Chief of the Egyptian army Abdul Fattah al-Sisi has been

:03:59. > :04:03.The retired field marshal overthrew President Mohammed Morsi last July,

:04:04. > :04:06.and has been pursuing a crackdown against Mr Morsi's Muslim

:04:07. > :04:13.This report from our world affairs correspondent Peter Biles.

:04:14. > :04:19.This report contains flash photography.

:04:20. > :04:23.Security in Cairo was tight as Abdul Fattah al-Sisi arrived for his

:04:24. > :04:30.presidential inauguration. He has been the target of two assassination

:04:31. > :04:34.attempts in the past year. As he was sworn in, he pledged his loyalty to

:04:35. > :04:38.the Republic and said he would respect the constitution. It is

:04:39. > :04:43.nearly a year since Abdul Fattah al-Sisi ousted Egypt's first freely

:04:44. > :04:46.elected president, Mohamed Morsi. Today, the deputy head of the

:04:47. > :04:54.supreme Constitutional Court said that had not been a coup and Abdul

:04:55. > :04:56.Fattah al-Sisi had been responding to the will of the people. He has

:04:57. > :05:00.promised to restore security, but Egypt has been in political turmoil

:05:01. > :05:14.since the Revolution three years ago. Most recently, it has seen mass

:05:15. > :05:18.protests against the rule of Mr Sisi. The presidential supporters

:05:19. > :05:25.have been gathering to celebrate his swearing-in. But Egypt is a divided

:05:26. > :05:29.nation when nothing is certain. President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi is

:05:30. > :05:33.Egypt's third leader in as many years. He secured a landslide

:05:34. > :05:40.victory in the elections in May, but with a turnout of less than 50%. He

:05:41. > :05:45.now faces huge challenges, not least, fixing the economy. With

:05:46. > :05:49.thousands of opponents in jail, many Egyptians feel this could lead to

:05:50. > :05:54.more authoritarian rule in the heart of the Middle East.

:05:55. > :05:58.Tens of thousands of Sikhs are about to set off on a march through

:05:59. > :06:00.London to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the storming of their

:06:01. > :06:05.They're protesting at the way the Golden Temple in Amritsar was

:06:06. > :06:08.attacked, and at India's failure to prevent the killing of thousands

:06:09. > :06:20.British Sikhs protest against the storming of the Golden Temple every

:06:21. > :06:24.year, but never before in such numbers. Wearing what they call the

:06:25. > :06:30.orange of the Seeker nation, they demand that their treatment by India

:06:31. > :06:34.in 1984 be recognised as genocide. There was absolutely no need to

:06:35. > :06:38.attack a holy place of worship. They could have shut the whole complex

:06:39. > :06:43.down. Everybody would have come out. They chose the busiest day in the

:06:44. > :06:46.sea calendar to walk straight at genocide of attack. The Golden

:06:47. > :06:50.Temple of Amritsar is not just is backpacking the building but the

:06:51. > :06:53.holiest of sleek shrines. The attack on a holy place of worship. They

:06:54. > :06:55.could have shut the whole complex down. Everybody would have come out.

:06:56. > :06:58.They chose the busiest day in the sea calendar to walk straight at

:06:59. > :07:00.genocide of attack. The Golden Temple of Amritsar is not just is

:07:01. > :07:03.backpacking the building but the holiest of sleek shrines. The attack

:07:04. > :07:05.on at that time, the temple was occupied by radicals demanding that

:07:06. > :07:08.boundaries be redrawn to unite more of India's Sikhs and that they

:07:09. > :07:13.should be given more autonomy. After a bloody two day battle from which

:07:14. > :07:17.the media were largely excluded, the Indian army were in control of the

:07:18. > :07:20.buildings and showing off weapons they had captured. A few months

:07:21. > :07:29.later came retribution. The Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was

:07:30. > :07:35.assassinated. It sparked outbreaks of rioting. Seek taxi drivers were

:07:36. > :07:45.targeted and it is claimed that voting lists were used to identify

:07:46. > :07:51.the homes of sleeks. The protest went from Trafalgar Square. It will

:07:52. > :07:56.be as colourful as it was noisy. Three decades on, the anger of the

:07:57. > :08:02.storming of the Golden Temple remains under him to. -- under

:08:03. > :08:05.dimmed. A farmer is critically ill

:08:06. > :08:08.in hospital after an accident in County Antrim which killed

:08:09. > :08:10.his eight-year-old son. Robert Christie, who's 52,

:08:11. > :08:13.and his son, also called Robert, were overcome by poisonous fumes

:08:14. > :08:23.as they were mixing slurry The emergency services were called

:08:24. > :08:26.to the farm yesterday afternoon. The boy was with his father when it is

:08:27. > :08:30.thought they were overcome by poisonous fumes as they mixed

:08:31. > :08:34.slurry. The Health and Safety Executive is carrying out an

:08:35. > :08:40.investigation into what happened. Members of the local community have

:08:41. > :08:45.been speaking of their shop. I know I have been receiving phone calls

:08:46. > :08:50.already. People are very upset. We hope we can rally around the family

:08:51. > :08:54.at this time. The farming community in Northern Ireland is well aware of

:08:55. > :09:00.the dangers of working with slurry. In 2012, Ulster rugby player Nevins

:09:01. > :09:08.Spence died along with his father and brother. They were all overcome

:09:09. > :09:13.by fumes near their farm in zebra after attempting to rescue a dog.

:09:14. > :09:20.Following their deaths, thousands of leaflets were distributed warning

:09:21. > :09:23.farmers of the risks. This is another reminder of the dangers

:09:24. > :09:32.faced by farmers and their families -- their farm near Hillsborough.

:09:33. > :09:39.Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has appointed Amelie Mauresmo as his new

:09:40. > :09:45.coach. He split with his coach Ivan Lendl last year. Andy Murray's

:09:46. > :09:47.management says he will initially team up with Amelie Mauresmo for

:09:48. > :09:53.this year's grass court season. The England team have landed in Rio

:09:54. > :09:55.de Janiero following last night's warm up game

:09:56. > :09:58.against Honduras in Miami. Roy Hodgson's squad are now

:09:59. > :10:01.focussing on their opening World Cup match against Italy

:10:02. > :10:03.in Manaus next Saturday. Joining us now from the England

:10:04. > :10:19.hotel in Rio is our sports Yes, we are expecting the England

:10:20. > :10:23.players to arrived here in the next hour or so. England are one of the

:10:24. > :10:27.most high profile teams at the World Cup. This they hope will be there

:10:28. > :10:31.based for a long and successful campaign here in the bill. What will

:10:32. > :10:36.they be able to do in their spare time you? There is plenty going on.

:10:37. > :10:41.There is a beautiful beach across the road. There is an 18-hole golf

:10:42. > :10:51.course. It is a marked contrast to four years ago in South Africa where

:10:52. > :10:54.the players were cooped up in a remit training base. The FA will

:10:55. > :10:56.hope they have struck a much better balance between privacy on the one

:10:57. > :10:59.hand, and players being able to relax on the other. All eyes on

:11:00. > :11:03.their first World Cup match against Italy in Manaus on Saturday.

:11:04. > :11:05.Thank you. The next news here on BBC One is at six o'clock. From all of

:11:06. > :11:23.us here, goodbye. It is very warm outside, but warm

:11:24. > :11:27.can also be combined with wet and that is exactly what some of us are

:11:28. > :11:32.going to have over the next few days. Lots of warmth, but watch out

:11:33. > :11:34.for some downpours affecting western and northern parts of the country.

:11:35. > :11:35.Today we have
