:00:17. > :00:27.Another United Nations-run school in Gaza has been hit by a missile.

:00:28. > :00:29.Palestinians say at least ten people have been killed

:00:30. > :00:37.There has been no word so far from the Israeli military

:00:38. > :00:40.Live now to our correspondent in Gaza, Martin Patience.

:00:41. > :00:54.Martin, what's the latest? Eyewitnesses say that an Israeli air

:00:55. > :00:57.strike struck the entrance of the school. Palestinian health officials

:00:58. > :01:03.say that children are among the dead and that more than 30 have been

:01:04. > :01:05.injured in this attack. It is believed that thousands of

:01:06. > :01:10.Palestinians were sheltering at this school, believing it would offer a

:01:11. > :01:15.degree of sanctuary. But this is in fact the third deadly attack at a UN

:01:16. > :01:20.school since this conflict began. Just last week Israel received

:01:21. > :01:25.international condemnation after another incident at a UN school left

:01:26. > :01:29.at least 17 dead, and as you said the Israeli military has yet to

:01:30. > :01:33.comment on this incident. What we do know is that there has been intense

:01:34. > :01:36.fighting in and around Rafah, after it was believed that Hamas militants

:01:37. > :01:41.captured an Israeli soldier. Israel is now saying that a soldier is

:01:42. > :01:43.dead. STUDIO: Thank you for joining us.

:01:44. > :01:45.Well, here, the Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond

:01:46. > :01:47.says the conflict in Gaza is having an "intolerable" effect

:01:48. > :01:51.It follows a row between Ed Miliband and Downing Street, after the Labour

:01:52. > :01:54.leader accused the Prime Minister of getting it "wrong" on Gaza.

:01:55. > :01:59.Our political correspondent Eleanor Garnier is at Westminster.

:02:00. > :02:09.The language being used by politicians here in Westminster is

:02:10. > :02:14.getting stronger, not just in what they are saying on what is happening

:02:15. > :02:18.in the ground in Gaza but a ratcheting up in the tone of the

:02:19. > :02:23.exchanges between the Prime Minister and the leader of the Labour Party.

:02:24. > :02:29.First, Ed Miliband criticised David Cameron's responds to Israel's

:02:30. > :02:32.offensive in Gaza claiming his silence was inexplicable. That

:02:33. > :02:36.prompted an unusually strong response from Downing Street, which

:02:37. > :02:40.said it was shocked that Ed Miliband was using this situation, and

:02:41. > :02:46.playing politics with this situation. Right from the start the

:02:47. > :02:51.Foreign Secretary, along with the Prime Minister, has consistently

:02:52. > :02:55.called for a cease-fire in this conflict and today in Sunday's

:02:56. > :02:58.Telegraph, Philip Hammond has described the situation on the

:02:59. > :03:05.ground in Gaza as intolerable for civilians. I think if and when the

:03:06. > :03:10.numbers of people dying in this conflict continues to rise the

:03:11. > :03:12.language here will get tougher and far more intense. Thank you for

:03:13. > :03:13.joining us. A Royal Navy survey ship is

:03:14. > :03:16.preparing to evacuate Britons from Libya amid worsening violence

:03:17. > :03:18.in the country. More than 200 people have been

:03:19. > :03:21.killed in Tripoli and the eastern city of Benghazi

:03:22. > :03:24.in the past two weeks - as fighting Britain's Foreign Office had

:03:25. > :03:31.previously urged British people Here, the fees that medical staff

:03:32. > :03:38.can charge for assessing people who claim they've suffered whiplash

:03:39. > :03:42.are to be drastically reduced. At the moment, health professionals

:03:43. > :03:44.can charge up to ?700 From October, that will be reduced

:03:45. > :03:52.to ?180 in an attempt to cut the The Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg

:03:53. > :04:00.wants to make new garden cities more attractive by compensating nearby

:04:01. > :04:03.homeowners The Government is proposing three

:04:04. > :04:10.new garden cities of around 15,000 homes each to ease

:04:11. > :04:13.the housing shortage. This report from

:04:14. > :04:17.BBC Countryfile's Tom Heap. The satellite town scheme is planned

:04:18. > :04:22.to reduce the congestion in London and give workers employment

:04:23. > :04:25.in pleasant surroundings. The garden city movement began over

:04:26. > :04:32.a century ago in response to similar housing pressures to today - a huge

:04:33. > :04:37.demand for homes around London. This was the result -

:04:38. > :04:39.Letchworth and Welwyn Garden City where parks and gardens were woven

:04:40. > :04:43.amongst the housing. The Government thinks

:04:44. > :04:45.similar developments today Avoiding the protests,

:04:46. > :04:54.which greeted other recent big We could maybe give deductions

:04:55. > :05:03.on their council tax for the period of time during which

:05:04. > :05:08.the garden city is being built. We could possibly also say to those

:05:09. > :05:11.homes where they think the price of their home will be affected -

:05:12. > :05:14.we will guarantee the price of their home by buying it,

:05:15. > :05:17.if you like, up front. Bicester

:05:18. > :05:19.near Oxford is experiencing rapid growth and is one place interested

:05:20. > :05:23.in becoming a garden city. Nearby villages, though,

:05:24. > :05:25.are worried about the effect on their lives, homes

:05:26. > :05:31.and also the loss of green space. Is that going to incentivise

:05:32. > :05:34.householders to accept a garden city on a massive greenfield site

:05:35. > :05:37.near to their home in preference to redevelopment of an unsightly

:05:38. > :05:42.brownfield site within the town or Nick Clegg's remarks seem to have

:05:43. > :05:50.surprised the Department for Communities and

:05:51. > :05:55.Local Government, which described them as "an interesting contribution

:05:56. > :05:58.to the debate." Homeowners affected may want

:05:59. > :06:00.to firm up this potential And you can hear more

:06:01. > :06:08.on that story on Countryfile, It's the final day of the

:06:09. > :06:16.Commonwealth games - and tonight Glasgow will host the closing

:06:17. > :06:18.ceremony - including performances But there's still been plenty

:06:19. > :06:27.of action. England's Lizzie Armitstead has won

:06:28. > :06:30.gold in the women's cycling road race - with her team-mate

:06:31. > :06:36.Emma Pooley taking silver. That leaves England at the top

:06:37. > :06:49.of the medal table and Scotland Rain returning for the end of the

:06:50. > :06:51.Commonwealth Games, the closing ceremony tonight.
