:00:16. > :00:17.in defiance of international sanctions.

:00:18. > :00:19.The Communist state calls it a satellite launch -

:00:20. > :00:21.but critics say this was a missile test, just weeks

:00:22. > :00:24.As junior doctors in England prepare for another strike over

:00:25. > :00:27.a new contract, there is no sign of compromise with the Government.

:00:28. > :00:34.The totally irresponsible way the BMA has behaved in refusing

:00:35. > :00:37.to sit down and talk about how we can improve patient care.

:00:38. > :00:40.I wouldn't trust him to sell me a used car,

:00:41. > :00:42.let alone hold my future and, more, importantly my patients' future

:00:43. > :00:49.And the Super Bowl is 50 - California prepares to host one

:00:50. > :01:10.of the world's biggest and richest sporting events.

:01:11. > :01:14.There's been international condemnation of North Korea after it

:01:15. > :01:17.launched a long-range rocket in defiance of United

:01:18. > :01:22.The secretive Communist state claims the launch was of a satellite,

:01:23. > :01:28.but last month it said it had tested a hydrogen bomb and many countries

:01:29. > :01:31.believe it's developing a long-range nuclear missile programme.

:01:32. > :01:40.Our Asia correspondent, John Sudworth, sent this report.

:01:41. > :01:42.This morning, over the Korean peninsula, the rocket's engines

:01:43. > :01:46.could be seen running into the clear, blue sky.

:01:47. > :01:52.It is reported to have successfully placed a satellite into orbit.

:01:53. > :01:54.News met with choreographed applause in the North Korean

:01:55. > :02:01.State television is showing the country's young leader,

:02:02. > :02:08.Kim Jong Un, at mission control, vital

:02:09. > :02:10.propaganda for a man trying to cement his position

:02:11. > :02:16.In South Korea, the government held an emergency meeting

:02:17. > :02:18.with the President, leading a chorus of international concern,

:02:19. > :02:27.TRANSLATION: The launch is an attempt to increase

:02:28. > :02:29.North Korea's missile capability as a means

:02:30. > :02:35.It is a serious challenge to world peace.

:02:36. > :02:37.North Korea's previous rocket launchers have already shown

:02:38. > :02:40.that the West Coast of the United States

:02:41. > :02:50.And its nuclear tests have been growing in sophistication.

:02:51. > :02:52.Experts believe a deliverable, long-range weapon maybe

:02:53. > :03:01.The accelerated development of North Korea's nuclear

:03:02. > :03:02.and ballistic missile programme poses a serious

:03:03. > :03:08.threat to international peace and security.

:03:09. > :03:18.To the peace and security not just of neighbours but the entire world.

:03:19. > :03:25.Tonight, North Korea's only ally, China, has been celebrating its

:03:26. > :03:30.lunar New Year festival in traditional explosive style. But

:03:31. > :03:35.diplomatically, it is treading very softly indeed. The statement from

:03:36. > :03:40.the Foreign Ministry in Beijing was not one of condemnation but rather

:03:41. > :03:46.an appeal for constraint on all sides. China fears a nuclear armed

:03:47. > :03:52.North Korea as much as anyone but it is also deeply nervous that, if

:03:53. > :03:56.anything, it might push its isolated, impoverished neighbour to

:03:57. > :04:01.economic collapse. The launch today takes not career one more step

:04:02. > :04:07.towards its nuclear ambitions. John Sudworth, BBC news, Beijing.

:04:08. > :04:09.Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has accused the doctors' union,

:04:10. > :04:12.the BMA, of totally irresponsible behaviour in its handling

:04:13. > :04:14.of the dispute over a new contract for junior doctors in England.

:04:15. > :04:17.Talks over changes to weekend working have broken down

:04:18. > :04:19.and a 24-hour strike involving everything except emergency care

:04:20. > :04:29.Our political correspondent Eleanor Garnier reports.

:04:30. > :04:33.In full voice this weekend, but despite months of talks,

:04:34. > :04:37.junior doctors are still out of tune with

:04:38. > :04:41.The disputes about pay and working hours following

:04:42. > :04:45.government plans to change some NHS contracts in England.

:04:46. > :04:48.Now, the Health Secretary has accused the doctors' union,

:04:49. > :04:51.the BMA, of being iresponsible and misleading.

:04:52. > :04:55.One of the reasons for that anger, and

:04:56. > :04:58.there is anger, is because they were told by the BMA that their pay

:04:59. > :05:02.They were told that they were going to be

:05:03. > :05:05.They aren't, we are actually bringing

:05:06. > :05:10.And if you are told by your union that the Health Secretary wants

:05:11. > :05:12.to do these awful things, of course you will

:05:13. > :05:16.But junior doctors on the front line said it was nonsense

:05:17. > :05:19.to suggest their union was misinforming them.

:05:20. > :05:22.There is not a grassroots doctor in the country who believes

:05:23. > :05:27.the words the Health Secretary says any more and that is because we have

:05:28. > :05:30.heard him spin and manipulate and distort the statistics

:05:31. > :05:34.and the facts time and again for his own political agenda.

:05:35. > :05:37.Last month, doctors walked out on a 24-hour strike.

:05:38. > :05:44.Planned industrial action two weeks ago was called off

:05:45. > :05:46.as talks continued, but with no agreement,

:05:47. > :05:50.this Wednesday's strike in England is still on.

:05:51. > :05:55.It believes its plans for a seven-day

:05:56. > :05:59.week NHS are popular with the public but both sides are really digging

:06:00. > :06:10.The sticking point - do you pay doctors more for working

:06:11. > :06:13.on a Saturday, and if you do, at what point should those payments

:06:14. > :06:17.Hanging over these negotiations, the threat that the Health Secretary

:06:18. > :06:21.will push ahead and impose the new contracts.

:06:22. > :06:25.There have been some concessions made by Government in the last few

:06:26. > :06:31.But if we cannot get a negotiated solution to this new junior doctor

:06:32. > :06:35.contract, I have said that he should not impose a new contract

:06:36. > :06:42.This row has come down to a dispute over working

:06:43. > :06:44.hours, but the fear is, without agreement, there could be

:06:45. > :06:52.Dozens of local Conservative associations have accused

:06:53. > :06:57.David Cameron of a lack of respect for grassroots party members,

:06:58. > :07:02.after he told MPs to disregard their views on the EU Referendum.

:07:03. > :07:05.In a letter to the Sunday Telegraph, the leaders of more than 40

:07:06. > :07:07.Conservative associations said it was deeply regrettable

:07:08. > :07:14.that the Prime Minister had dismissed their views.

:07:15. > :07:16.A review into Scotland Yard's handling of a rape allegation

:07:17. > :07:19.against the late Lord Brittan has concluded that the police

:07:20. > :07:21.were "fully justified" in carrying out an investigation.

:07:22. > :07:23.However, it identified a number of weaknesses in the way police

:07:24. > :07:32.acted, including a failure to record an interview with the peer.

:07:33. > :07:35.A 20-year-old man has emerged alive from the rubble of an apartment

:07:36. > :07:38.building in Taiwan, two days after it collapsed in an earthquake.

:07:39. > :07:41.At least 26 people are thought to have died and hopes are fading

:07:42. > :07:43.for more than 100 who are still missing.

:07:44. > :07:45.From Tainan in South Taiwan, Rupert Wingfield-Hayes

:07:46. > :08:04.Deep inside the collapsed building, this rescue crew is getting close.

:08:05. > :08:10.Hold on, they shout. We coming through. A few minutes later, a

:08:11. > :08:14.young man is lifted clear from the building and lowered gently to the

:08:15. > :08:20.ground. His condition is serious but he is still alive. This is the only

:08:21. > :08:25.bright spot in what has other being a grim day. This afternoon are

:08:26. > :08:31.rescue were urged holding a small bundle. A six-month-old baby girl.

:08:32. > :08:38.30 hours in the rubble had been too much. Soon after, she died. And

:08:39. > :08:45.still dozens more await news in growing despair. This woman's son is

:08:46. > :08:50.somewhere under the rubble. He is such a good boy, she says. He always

:08:51. > :08:57.thinks of me, he worries about me being lonely. The despair is mixed

:08:58. > :09:01.with anger. Why did this building come-down and those around it are

:09:02. > :09:05.unscathed? People are asking why this building came down and the

:09:06. > :09:09.others seem to have stirred up without any problem and there are

:09:10. > :09:13.clear signs of what might be wrong with this building. The collapse has

:09:14. > :09:18.exposed these blue and white cooking oil cans that appear to have been

:09:19. > :09:24.used as filler inside some of the concrete beams. Relatives as Pool

:09:25. > :09:28.two tonight say they want a full investigation into why this building

:09:29. > :09:33.came down and they want someone to be held responsible. Rupert

:09:34. > :09:41.Wingfield-Hayes, BBC News in Tainan city, Taiwan.

:09:42. > :09:43.In the Six Nations, Ireland faced Wales today.

:09:44. > :09:52.Karthi Gnanasegaram has news of that and the rest of the sport.

:09:53. > :09:55.Defending champions Ireland are aiming for a record third Six

:09:56. > :09:59.Nations title in a row, but they were held to a 16-all draw by Wales.

:10:00. > :10:01.There was a thrilling end to the match after Ireland let their 13

:10:02. > :10:03.point lead slip and Wales fought to the final whistle. Our

:10:04. > :10:09.correspondent, Andy Swiss, reports. Andre Gray skies, a wall of green.

:10:10. > :10:13.Dublin in deafening voice is arrogant set out in search of

:10:14. > :10:18.history. No team has ever won the hat-trick of Six Nations but they

:10:19. > :10:24.began with the confidence of champions, thanks to Jonny Sexton

:10:25. > :10:33.and a burst from Conor Murray. It is over! Ireland 13-0 up after one

:10:34. > :10:40.hour, what a start. Game over? Wales, especially Toby Faletau,

:10:41. > :10:47.muscled back. He comes away with it! And he scores. Not pretty but highly

:10:48. > :10:53.effective and after the break, Rhys Priestland levelled things, 13 all,

:10:54. > :10:58.who would hold their nerve? No one could hold anything for the well as

:10:59. > :11:03.both sides spilled opportunities and for all the attacking intent on

:11:04. > :11:09.show, defences held firm. The Priestland penalty edged Wales ahead

:11:10. > :11:13.but Sexton kept his cool and this time the deadlock was unbreakable.

:11:14. > :11:18.For both sides, frustration, mingling with relief. We put some

:11:19. > :11:22.pressure on and did not get those points and they built their way into

:11:23. > :11:28.the lead so in the end, you are reasonably believed to have escaped

:11:29. > :11:32.with the draw. I am glad we crawled back into the game and got that

:11:33. > :11:38.straw. To come back and the draw, that is not bad. Rugby at its

:11:39. > :11:41.tightest and most tense. The day with plenty of drama but,

:11:42. > :11:54.ultimately, no winner. Arsenal kept their Premier League

:11:55. > :11:56.title winning hopes alive with a 2-nil win over Bournemouth to move

:11:57. > :11:58.back up to third in the table. Goals from Mesut Ozil and Alex

:11:59. > :12:01.Oxlade-Chamberlain gave Arsenal their first League win in five games

:12:02. > :12:04.and moves them level on points with their North London rivals,

:12:05. > :12:06.Tottenham, who are in second place. And in the evening game Manchester

:12:07. > :12:08.United's Jesse Lingard scored a superb goal to bring their game

:12:09. > :12:11.against Chelsea to life in the 60th minute. But Diego Costa scored in

:12:12. > :12:22.the first of six minutes of Added time to give Chelsea a late

:12:23. > :12:24.equaliser. In the fifth round of the Scottish Cup, Hibernian came back

:12:25. > :12:27.from 2-nil down against Hearts to force a replay. Hearts scored both

:12:28. > :12:29.of their goals in the first half but a Jason Cummings header with 12

:12:30. > :12:32.minutes of the match remaining brought Hibs back in to it. Before

:12:33. > :12:34.an injury time Equaliser from Paul Hanlon gave them the replay which is

:12:35. > :12:45.on February 16th. While Celtic beat Lowland League side East Kilbride

:12:46. > :12:47.2-nil to reach the last eight. England's Danny Willett is aiming

:12:48. > :12:50.for an Olympic and Ryder Cup place this year after winning golf's Dubai

:12:51. > :12:53.Desert Classic Willett needed to make this 15 foot birdie putt on the

:12:54. > :12:56.18th hole to win - and he did. That gave him a final round of 69 and a

:12:57. > :12:58.one shot win over fellow Englishman Andy Sullivan. Defending champion

:12:59. > :13:09.and world number two, Rory McIlroy finished four strokes behind Willett

:13:10. > :13:12.in joint sixth place. And England's women cricketers have won the first

:13:13. > :13:16.game of their One Day series against South Africa. Thank you.

:13:17. > :13:22.As far as big sporting events go, they don't get any more commercially

:13:23. > :13:25.valuable than America's Super Bowl - and the biggest night of the year

:13:26. > :13:28.This time there's a special anniversary to celebrate.
