:00:00. > :00:17.Andy Murray becomes Wimbledon champion for the second time.

:00:18. > :00:22.He beat the Canadian Milos Raonic in straight sets to win the third

:00:23. > :00:27.Last time I was so relieved, I felt...

:00:28. > :00:30.I was very nervous today, as well, but so much stress

:00:31. > :00:33.and pressure and didn't get the chance to enjoy it as much.

:00:34. > :00:36.So I'll make sure I enjoy this one tonight, for sure.

:00:37. > :00:38.His win is a personal triumph - and a great moment

:00:39. > :00:44.Jeremy Corbyn urges Angela Eagle to reconsider challenging him

:00:45. > :00:50.for the Labour leadership as she prepares to launch her bid tomorrow.

:00:51. > :00:53.More protests in the United States against police shootings of black

:00:54. > :00:57.And a third consecutive British Grand Prix win -

:00:58. > :01:21.In the last half hour, Andy Murray has won the men's

:01:22. > :01:25.singles title at Wimbledon for the second time.

:01:26. > :01:28.His straight sets victory over the Canadian Milos Raonic

:01:29. > :01:31.was his third Grand Slam win - securing his place as the best

:01:32. > :01:38.Our sports correspondent Joe Wilson was watching the match.

:01:39. > :01:45.There should be no roof on expectation and no lid on excitement

:01:46. > :01:48.in centre court, the British finalist at Wimbledon can never be

:01:49. > :01:53.routine, even if Andy Murray has reached a level where that is almost

:01:54. > :01:57.how it seems. Playing in an 11th grand slam final took him past Fred

:01:58. > :02:00.Perry who managed ten, a British record, he was something new for

:02:01. > :02:08.Murray, for the first time in a grand slam final, opposing him not

:02:09. > :02:14.Djokovic or Federer, but Raonic. The Canadian has a bigger serve than

:02:15. > :02:17.anyone, frequently over 140 mph, but if tennis was just a question of who

:02:18. > :02:22.can hit the ball hardest-hit would never captivate us. Points are often

:02:23. > :02:29.won by repeating precision until someone makes a mistake. Murray

:02:30. > :02:34.break the Raonic serve once in the first set and that was enough.

:02:35. > :02:39.Murray was everywhere, he looks a bit younger on paper, but on court

:02:40. > :02:43.he did scamper like a teenager, a key moment went Raonic appeared

:02:44. > :02:47.hesitant, second set went to a tie-break but it went to Murray, who

:02:48. > :02:55.managed to win points he had no right to. Reasons for the hilt to be

:02:56. > :03:00.cheerful, Andy Murray is to set up and the sunshine is quite often out.

:03:01. > :03:07.Not a spare place to be had back there. The tactics from Raonic was

:03:08. > :03:10.clear, using his telescopic reach, and at times it worked, but he could

:03:11. > :03:16.not break the Murray serve. Another tie-break. From start to finish from

:03:17. > :03:26.corner to corner, Murray was in control. Until the moment when he

:03:27. > :03:31.allowed himself to let himself go. The most important tournament for me

:03:32. > :03:35.every year, I've had some great moments here and some tough losses,

:03:36. > :03:42.and the winds feel extra special because of the tough defeat stashed

:03:43. > :03:47.the victories. I'm proud to get my hands on the trophy. Before he was

:03:48. > :03:53.relieved, but now in the company of this trophy is just where Andy

:03:54. > :03:59.Murray belongs. It was a college above formats, and it leaves the

:04:00. > :04:03.question, where does it leave Andy Murray, Britain's greatest ever

:04:04. > :04:08.sportsman? -- it was a college mate performance. As the greatest ever

:04:09. > :04:13.British tennis player, that is almost beyond dispute. The point

:04:14. > :04:17.about Murray, he has been competing against some of the all-time best

:04:18. > :04:20.players, and his tasks now will be to try and catch Djokovic as the

:04:21. > :04:26.number one ranked player in the world. But for a while at least we

:04:27. > :04:32.can bask in the second Wimbledon success. STUDIO: Thank you.

:04:33. > :04:35.The Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, has urged his former shadow business

:04:36. > :04:37.secretary Angela Eagle to "think for a moment " after she confirmed

:04:38. > :04:39.she'll launch a challenge to his leadership tomorrow.

:04:40. > :04:42.She says she wants to reunite the party.

:04:43. > :04:45.But Mr Corbyn says it would be "irresponsible" of him to stand

:04:46. > :04:48.down, because thousands of members voted for him.

:04:49. > :04:56.Our political correspondent Alex Forsyth reports.

:04:57. > :05:01.Less than a year ago Jeremy Corbyn was elected Labour's leader

:05:02. > :05:14.Since then around the country, supporters have welcomed his promise

:05:15. > :05:21.of a new politics, but in parliament, dissatisfaction

:05:22. > :05:23.has grown, with many of his own MPs questioning his leadership.

:05:24. > :05:26.Now one is standing against him, a direct challenge to his

:05:27. > :05:31.We need a strengthened Labour Party and an opposition which can unite

:05:32. > :05:34.so we can heal the country and unfortunately I don't think

:05:35. > :05:45.Jeremy Corbyn said today he is disappointed at this

:05:46. > :05:48.challenge to his leadership, and he will stand in any contest.

:05:49. > :05:50.Why should I time limit the leadership when I'm elected

:05:51. > :05:53.by a very large number of members and supporters

:05:54. > :05:59.If, at the end of the day, an election results

:06:00. > :06:02.in a different leader, so be it, but I would be

:06:03. > :06:05.irresponsible if I walked away from a mandate I was given

:06:06. > :06:10.I ask colleagues to respect that, as well.

:06:11. > :06:13.There is a divide between many Labour MPs here who say they have

:06:14. > :06:15.lost faith in their leader and the wider party where

:06:16. > :06:19.The crucial question is whether Jeremy Corbyn can

:06:20. > :06:21.automatically stand in a leadership contest without the backing

:06:22. > :06:28.Labour's rules are not clear and it is up to the executive

:06:29. > :06:33.Along with Jeremy Corbyn, we are here to stay.

:06:34. > :06:36.And with thousands of members rallying to support Jeremy Corbyn,

:06:37. > :06:42.MPs know if he can stand, he might win, cementing his authority.

:06:43. > :06:45.If he is not on the ballot that could cause a revolt amongst members

:06:46. > :06:47.and Jeremy Corbyn has threatened a legal challenge.

:06:48. > :06:52.For many this is a pivotal moment for Labour.

:06:53. > :06:55.Unless Labour can unify after the leadership

:06:56. > :07:01.election that is coming, our voice will not be heard.

:07:02. > :07:04.If we can't address Labour voters' concerns about the economy

:07:05. > :07:07.and inequality and what is going to happen now that we have voted

:07:08. > :07:10.to leave the European Union, we will be left dead

:07:11. > :07:17.While some fear Labour could spit, others fear without unity

:07:18. > :07:24.The Conservative leadership candidate Andrea Leadsom has

:07:25. > :07:27.published her tax return for the year 2014 to 15,

:07:28. > :07:33.having promised to do so if she made it on to the final shortlist.

:07:34. > :07:35.It reveals that she paid ?22,621 in tax on total income

:07:36. > :07:38.of just under ?84,000, while also recording a tax-free

:07:39. > :07:44.Her rival, Theresa May, has already published a summary

:07:45. > :07:52.Sir Cliff Richard is to bring legal proceedings against the BBC

:07:53. > :07:54.and South Yorkshire Police in connection with the filming

:07:55. > :07:58.The raid was carried out by officers looking for evidence

:07:59. > :08:04.No charges were brought but Sir Cliff Richard said his life

:08:05. > :08:11.A Parliamentary Committee found the BBC had acted "properly."

:08:12. > :08:14.A cross-party group of senior MPs is calling for Tony Blair to face

:08:15. > :08:16.censure for his role in taking Britain into war in Iraq,

:08:17. > :08:19.following the publication of the Chilcot Report.

:08:20. > :08:22.The group which includes the Conservative MP, David Davis,

:08:23. > :08:27.and the SNP's foreign affairs spokesman, Alex Salmond -

:08:28. > :08:32.say they will table a Commons motion on Thursday to declare the former

:08:33. > :08:34.prime minister in contempt for misleading Parliament.

:08:35. > :08:36.The family of Marie Colvin, the American journalist killed

:08:37. > :08:38.in Syria four years ago, are suing the government

:08:39. > :08:42.They say the regime used informants and electronic

:08:43. > :08:44.surveillance to track Ms Colvin before directing the artillery

:08:45. > :08:47.strike that killed her in the city of Homs.

:08:48. > :08:48.The lawsuit, filed in Washington, describes the attack

:08:49. > :08:57.Barack Obama has said protesters who attack police officers are doing

:08:58. > :09:01.The President's comments come after a further night of protests

:09:02. > :09:03.against police shootings of black men in cities across America.

:09:04. > :09:09.Although most of the rallies were peaceful, there were clashes

:09:10. > :09:11.in Louisiana and Minnesota with 200 people arrested.

:09:12. > :09:14.Our correspondent Laura Bicker is in Baton Rouge in Louisiana -

:09:15. > :09:25.After a week of uneasy tension on the streets of Bath en route, police

:09:26. > :09:29.decided to take action. They arrested dozens of protesters,

:09:30. > :09:37.leading them away from the crowds. And then came this. Police, you are

:09:38. > :09:44.under arrest. Do not fight me. I'm under arrest. The leader of the

:09:45. > :09:48.Black minds matter movement was taken into custody, while

:09:49. > :09:54.broadcasting online -- Black Lives Matter movement. There are no

:09:55. > :09:56.details of charges. They have gathered outside the headquarters of

:09:57. > :10:03.the police and it feels quite tense at the moment, there is real anger.

:10:04. > :10:09.Not just anger, but rage. If you are a white person and your mother or

:10:10. > :10:13.son was shot down with six shots while they were lying on the ground,

:10:14. > :10:18.I promise you every child and grandmother and grandmother would be

:10:19. > :10:26.out here, they would be pumped with guns, fighting the police. The piece

:10:27. > :10:33.has been shattered in Minnesota. Over 100 arrests. President Obama on

:10:34. > :10:37.a visit to Spain tried to soothe the raw emotion and gave this advice.

:10:38. > :10:46.Whenever those of us who are concerned about fairness in the

:10:47. > :10:57.criminal justice system attack police officers, you are doing a

:10:58. > :11:01.disservice to the cause. In Dallas they are trying to heal and remember

:11:02. > :11:06.the five police officers killed by a black activist. Here they know the

:11:07. > :11:10.gravity of the situation at the way ahead is not clear. We are at a

:11:11. > :11:15.tipping point and we could go either way and so it is important as a

:11:16. > :11:20.nation to figure out how do we not miss this moment. The protests and

:11:21. > :11:29.marches will continue here and elsewhere. Most, like this one, a

:11:30. > :11:32.peaceful show of strength. But in the feverish heat of summer it is

:11:33. > :11:39.hard not to feel that this country is close to boiling point.

:11:40. > :11:42.Now with the sport, here's Olly Foster at the BBC Sport Centre.

:11:43. > :11:46.And Andy Murray isn't the only British success today.

:11:47. > :11:56.Certainly not. We will be back at Wimbledon in a moment.

:11:57. > :11:58.The reigning F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has won

:11:59. > :12:09.Silverstone's first test came from the skies, rain makes staying fast

:12:10. > :12:13.and in control tougher than ever, so tough that the race started at a

:12:14. > :12:17.crawl, doing behind the safety car is fine if you are first, as Lewis

:12:18. > :12:22.Hamilton was, but eventually everyone needed to judge tactics and

:12:23. > :12:29.byes, decisions which can turn your race from back to front -- Times.

:12:30. > :12:33.The results can be spectacular. Max Verstappen went past Rosberg into

:12:34. > :12:38.second. Rosberg and Hamilton had been told by their team to give each

:12:39. > :12:40.other space, plenty of that here. Hamilton was somewhere down the

:12:41. > :12:46.road, he's German rival was engaged in his own race against Max

:12:47. > :12:49.Verstappen, but having passed in, was he later passed illegal

:12:50. > :12:55.instructions from his team? That will be investigated. Attention on

:12:56. > :12:59.the Mercedes in fun, for the third year in a row Lewis Hamilton is the

:13:00. > :13:07.winner of the British Grand Prix, nowhere gives him a lift quite like

:13:08. > :13:16.home. There were two other bridges winners at Wimbledon. Gordon

:13:17. > :13:25.Greenidge added the wheelchair title -- Gordon Reid.

:13:26. > :13:33.Euro 2016 draws to a close with tonight's final between France and

:13:34. > :13:38.Portugal and we can go live to the Stade de France. Fantastic that the

:13:39. > :13:45.French have made it to the end of their own tournament, for so many

:13:46. > :13:49.reasons. Yes, indeed. France took a while to warm to this tournament.

:13:50. > :13:53.There's now a sense of excitement around this final and that the

:13:54. > :13:56.reasons which go further than football, the site of France has

:13:57. > :14:00.been uplifting for our country which is still in a national state of

:14:01. > :14:05.emergency and still recovering from the terror attacks in November, some

:14:06. > :14:08.of which took place yards from the stadium, and it has seen France

:14:09. > :14:14.reconnect with its football team, they have a new hero in Griezmann

:14:15. > :14:20.who has scored six goals and propelled France this far. Portugal

:14:21. > :14:26.will try to gate-crash the party and Ronaldo is desperate to win their

:14:27. > :14:29.first major international trophy. They are unexpected finalists, after

:14:30. > :14:32.stuttering out of the group, finishing third, but they are here

:14:33. > :14:38.now and you can't write them off, and they will be well supported.

:14:39. > :14:42.There is a big Portuguese population in Paris, it is sometimes called

:14:43. > :14:50.Portugal's second city, and whatever happens there will be a party here

:14:51. > :14:53.later. Thanks for joining us. It is the final day at the European

:14:54. > :15:00.athletics Championships in Amsterdam. Great Britain's men won

:15:01. > :15:04.ready for by 100 metres relay. They got the baton round safely, which

:15:05. > :15:12.has not always been the case. The women got the silver medal in their

:15:13. > :15:17.relay. There was also a bronze in the high jump. Chris Froome has

:15:18. > :15:22.retained the yellow jersey in the Tour de France.

:15:23. > :15:24.There's more throughout the evening on the BBC News Channel,
