:00:22. > :00:24.Russia and America have agreed to co-ordinate air strikes,

:00:25. > :00:30.It's part of a deal that will see a "cessation

:00:31. > :00:32.of hostilities" from Monday, and include measures

:00:33. > :00:35.to allow humanitarian access to the worst affected areas.

:00:36. > :00:38.But all previous attempts to end the violence have failed

:00:39. > :00:51.Here's our Diplomatic Correspondent James Landale.

:00:52. > :00:57.The hours before a ceasefire can often be deadly. In Eastern Aleppo,

:00:58. > :01:01.government forces are seeking to consolidate their position in a city

:01:02. > :01:05.left devastated by conflict. A city where tomorrow night these guns

:01:06. > :01:08.could fall silent. That's because of an agreement announced by the

:01:09. > :01:11.Americans and Russians in the early hours of this morning in Geneva,

:01:12. > :01:19.that they hope could stop the fighting. If this arrangement holds

:01:20. > :01:24.then we will see a significant reduction in violence across Syria.

:01:25. > :01:31.We will see humanitarian aid forces going forward in Aleppo, and

:01:32. > :01:36.wherever the need is greatest. After a period of reduced violence, then

:01:37. > :01:41.we will see the United States and Russia taking coordinated steps to

:01:42. > :01:47.isolate and defeat the terrorist groups that have added immeasurably

:01:48. > :01:50.to the suffering in Syria. Under the deal the nationwide ceasefire would

:01:51. > :01:56.begin tomorrow evening. Humanitarian aid would be allowed into besieged

:01:57. > :02:01.areas. The force would stop attacking groups in designated areas

:02:02. > :02:07.and if that happens, Russia and the US would take joint military action

:02:08. > :02:13.against Islamic State and Al-Qaeda linked fighters. For that to happen,

:02:14. > :02:19.this must stop. Today, 25 people were said to have died in an air

:02:20. > :02:23.strike. This deal will only work if the Russians succeed in getting

:02:24. > :02:28.their allies to end this kind of bombing. Reports suggested the

:02:29. > :02:33.Syrian government have accepted the deal. The Syrian government has been

:02:34. > :02:37.informed buyers about these arrangements and is ready to fulfil

:02:38. > :02:42.them. It supports the initiative on which we agreed and we will do

:02:43. > :02:48.everything, it depends on us but not everything does. He is right. Much

:02:49. > :02:52.depends on the opposition groups as well. They gave a cautious welcome

:02:53. > :02:55.to the deal but will need to break from the Al-Qaeda linked factions

:02:56. > :03:09.they've been fighting alongside. That's a big ask. The key to bring

:03:10. > :03:14.about this removal is to force President Assad to stop bombing and

:03:15. > :03:18.force them away from besieging cities and starving populations.

:03:19. > :03:22.This is not the first ceasefire agreed in Syria but the last one

:03:23. > :03:24.fell apart in weeks. Deals negotiated in Geneva do not always

:03:25. > :03:30.survive the reality on the ground. The International Trade Secretary

:03:31. > :03:32.Liam Fox has drawn heavy criticism for saying British businesses had

:03:33. > :03:35.grown 'too fat and lazy,' to fully Addressing a Conservative free

:03:36. > :03:38.market event, he said some executives would rather play golf

:03:39. > :03:40.on Friday afternoons, The comments have been described

:03:41. > :03:44.by one boss as "absolutely Here's our Political

:03:45. > :03:56.Correspondent Alex Forsyth. Two months ago he was given the job

:03:57. > :04:03.of promoting UK business across the globe. Brexit Baco now in charge of

:04:04. > :04:08.negotiating trade deals. -- a backer of Brexit. But at drinks reception

:04:09. > :04:15.in Parliament he was recorded seeing this... This country is not the free

:04:16. > :04:23.trading nation that it once was. We've become too lazy and fat on

:04:24. > :04:25.success of previous generations. He said business should consider

:04:26. > :04:32.exporting an opportunity and not a duty. Companies that could be

:04:33. > :04:35.contributing to national prosperity choose not to because it might be

:04:36. > :04:40.too difficult or time-consuming or they cannot play golf on a Friday

:04:41. > :04:44.afternoon. We've got to say to them, if you want to share in the

:04:45. > :04:51.prosperity of our country you've got to contribute. Himself no stranger

:04:52. > :04:56.to the golf course, his swing at UK business raised important points for

:04:57. > :05:00.some but also attracted anger. His comments about business leaders

:05:01. > :05:07.sloping off to the golf course are unhelpful and untrue. British

:05:08. > :05:11.business leaders work hard developing business, exporting,

:05:12. > :05:15.innovating. In his speech, Liam Fox said he'd never felt more optimistic

:05:16. > :05:20.about the future of the country and in a statement, a spokesman said Mr

:05:21. > :05:24.Fox, whose department is based here, was committed to supporting UK

:05:25. > :05:31.business so they could take advantage of the opportunities

:05:32. > :05:38.offered by Brexit. Nonetheless, his comments are for some and unwelcome

:05:39. > :05:43.message to the world. His job is to boost trade.

:05:44. > :05:45.Great Britain's paralympians are hoping for another medal

:05:46. > :05:47.rush on day 3 in Rio, after taking seven golds yesterday.

:05:48. > :05:50.Ellie Robinson who's just 15 raced to victory in the pool,

:05:51. > :05:52.while Jonnie Peacock became a double paralympic champion,

:05:53. > :05:54.winning the 100 metre sprint in the T44 category.

:05:55. > :06:03.Here's our Sports Correspondent Andy Swiss.

:06:04. > :06:12.Once again on top of the world. Another golden night for Johnny

:06:13. > :06:19.Peacock as one of the stars of London lit up Rio de Janiero. He has

:06:20. > :06:27.struggled with form and fitness since 2012, but those worries soon

:06:28. > :06:31.seemed distant. With that, the tension turned to emotion. On the

:06:32. > :06:37.biggest stage of all, he had done it and he told me it was even sweeter

:06:38. > :06:44.than London. It was pressure free for me, it was my first games, I was

:06:45. > :06:50.only 19, I had that excuse to fall back on. This one was harder. I had

:06:51. > :06:58.that pressure. Luckily, I pulled through in the end. On an

:06:59. > :07:06.astonishing night, Britain won three more gold medals. Perhaps the

:07:07. > :07:13.performance of the night came in the high jump. His remarkable talent was

:07:14. > :07:22.shown to win India's first gold of the game. Elsewhere, this is how you

:07:23. > :07:27.make an entrance. 15-year-old Ellie Robinson, the schoolgirl from

:07:28. > :07:36.Northampton, was inspired to swim by her namesake Ellie Simmonds. Now she

:07:37. > :07:43.is also a Paralympic champion. The gold medal tally continues to rise.

:07:44. > :07:49.Victory for Andy Lewis. A moment of triumph and history. Here at the

:07:50. > :07:58.velodrome, Sarah Storey has going for another gold. She is looking to

:07:59. > :07:59.add a cycling medal to the athletics medals she won yesterday. It could

:08:00. > :08:02.be a night to remember. In football, the Premier League

:08:03. > :08:05.clash between Manchester United and Manchester City at Old Trafford

:08:06. > :08:07.was hotly anticipated, the first derby game of the season

:08:08. > :08:10.for rival managers Jose Mourinho And in an absorbing

:08:11. > :08:13.game, full of chances, Our Sports Correspondent David

:08:14. > :08:26.Ornstein was watching. The Manchester derby is never to be

:08:27. > :08:33.messed. Adding managers with a rivalry as fierce as that of their

:08:34. > :08:38.clubs and it becomes a global spectacle. The focus was now on the

:08:39. > :08:49.field and city were the slicker. In the heat of the Derby, Kevin the

:08:50. > :08:55.brine -- de Bruyne with the coolest of finishes. The post denied him a

:08:56. > :08:59.second, but the striker was perfectly placed and Jose Mourinho's

:09:00. > :09:05.men were in trouble. If the decision to replace Joe Hart was

:09:06. > :09:08.controversial, the new goalkeeper's first move was calamitous. He nearly

:09:09. > :09:13.cost his side the game with this challenge whilst de Bruyne almost

:09:14. > :09:19.had the final say with another fine strike. It mattered not. In a match

:09:20. > :09:25.billed as the Battle of two managers it was the players who provided all

:09:26. > :09:29.the entertainment. This was a classic derby but it was Pep

:09:30. > :09:30.Guardiola who struck first in what should be a golden period for

:09:31. > :09:32.football in Manchester. In Scotland, Celtic were 5-1 winners

:09:33. > :09:35.in the Old Firm derby, Moussa Dembele hit a hat-trick

:09:36. > :09:38.on his debut at Parkhead, in the first league meeting

:09:39. > :09:41.between the clubs in four years. Celtic now prepare for their

:09:42. > :09:43.Champions League opening match against Barcelona at

:09:44. > :09:54.the Nou Camp on Tuesday.
