:01:33. > :01:35.The pressures on the NHS and especially in emergency care
:01:36. > :01:37.are particularly intense at the moment.
:01:38. > :01:40.But what is more concerning is the number of patients who have been
:01:41. > :01:44.managed within four hours and then the delays to admission
:01:45. > :01:47.into the hospital bed base which unfortunately are very,
:01:48. > :01:50.very significant and our staff are working under some pretty
:01:51. > :01:55.And sometimes they just can't manage.
:01:56. > :01:58.Figures from NHS England show that overflowing A departments had
:01:59. > :02:01.to close their doors to new patients more than 140 times
:02:02. > :02:09.Compare that to the same month in 2015 and it's up more than 60%.

:02:19. > :02:20.Clearly, demand is very high and it's higher
:02:21. > :02:23.than it has ever been, but we have the most comprehensive
:02:24. > :02:26.plans in place that we ever had, but it is very difficult
