:02:03. > :02:11.Compare that to the same month in 2015 and it's up more than 60%.

:02:12. > :02:18.NHS England denies the situation is at such an extreme breaking point.

:02:19. > :02:22.No, I think that's an overstatement at this stage.

:02:23. > :02:24.Clearly, demand is very high and it's higher

:02:25. > :02:26.than it has ever been, but we have the most comprehensive

:02:27. > :02:29.plans in place that we ever had, but it is very difficult

:02:30. > :02:34.Eyebrows may have been raised by the Red Cross choosing to use

:02:35. > :02:36.words more often used to describe a war-torn country, but last year's

:02:37. > :02:39.figures show there were some 350,000 more visits to A like this one

:02:55. > :02:57.to give an urgent statement on Monday about what

:02:58. > :03:05.This is a wake-up call to properly fund our NHS and the social care

:03:06. > :03:10.so that those who are in a desperate situation needing care

:03:11. > :03:13.outside of hospital are able to get that care.

:04:41. > :04:43.TRANSLATION: A car bomb went off in the city centre near civilians.

:04:44. > :04:45.There are no fighters here, all of them civilians.

:04:46. > :04:47.As rescue workers searched for survivors and bodies,

:05:08. > :05:19.Today's attack, while devastating, is unlikely to affect this ceasefire

:05:20. > :05:27.As ours has become home to people who have fled fighting elsewhere. --

:05:28. > :05:31.Azaz has become home. Today's attack, while devastating,

:05:32. > :05:34.is unlikely to affect this ceasefire or derail peace talks planned

:05:35. > :05:36.for later this month. Despite a halt in fighting, people

:05:37. > :05:40.in Syria are continuing to die. Donald Trump has said that

:05:41. > :05:42.when he's president, Russia will have far more respect

:05:43. > :05:45.for his country than it does now. The US President-elect tweeted that

:05:46. > :05:47.having a good relationship with Russia was a good thing,

:05:48. > :05:49.and only "stupid people or fools An intelligence report

:05:50. > :05:53.yesterday accused Russia It's emerged that the man

:05:54. > :05:57.being questioned over the shooting dead of five people at a Florida

:05:58. > :05:59.airport has a history Esteban Santiago, a veteran

:06:00. > :06:03.who served in Iraq, had been receiving treatment

:06:04. > :06:06.at his home in Alaska. From Fort Lauderdale,

:06:07. > :06:19.Gary O'Donoghue sent this report. This is the man police say killed

:06:20. > :06:22.five at Fort Lauderdale airport, opening fire indiscriminately as

:06:23. > :06:26.travellers collected their baggage. He's Esteban Santiago, a 26-year-old

:06:27. > :06:29.former member of the military. His family said he'd been receiving

:06:30. > :06:34.psychological help after his discharge last August. His and has

:06:35. > :06:39.said he was never the same after returning from serving in Iraq in

:06:40. > :06:44.2011 -- his aunt has said. Police say thank you argue used a

:06:45. > :06:48.semiautomatic handgun in the attack in the baggage hall, scattering

:06:49. > :06:52.terrified passengers before throwing away his weapon and laying

:06:53. > :06:57.spread-eagled on the ground as police moved in to arrest him. As

:06:58. > :07:01.things started to return to normal at the airport, it's emerged that

:07:02. > :07:05.Santiago had been interviewed by the FBI as recently as November last

:07:06. > :07:12.year. One anonymous source has said he told Agence that the government

:07:13. > :07:17.was ordering him to watch videos from the Islamic State group. It was

:07:18. > :07:22.during that contact that the agents themselves noted the erratic

:07:23. > :07:26.behaviour that concerned them and motivated them to call the local

:07:27. > :07:33.authorities to have him taken into custody and evaluated at a medical

:07:34. > :07:37.facility for his mental health. Questions are also being raised

:07:38. > :07:41.about the ease with which Santiago was able to transport and use his

:07:42. > :07:48.weapon in a supposedly secure place like an airport. It is legal to put

:07:49. > :07:53.a gun in checked baggage in the US, as long as it's locked in a case and

:07:54. > :07:59.unloaded, but you can carry ammunition in the same case.

:08:00. > :08:04.Santiago will appear on Monday, in court, on federal charges. But while

:08:05. > :08:07.his motivations will continue to be probed, there are also serious

:08:08. > :08:11.questions about how a man who'd already appeared on the authorities'

:08:12. > :08:16.radar, could seemingly go on to commit such a heinous crime. Gary

:08:17. > :08:19.O'Donoghue, BBC News, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

:08:20. > :08:22.Wayne Rooney today equalled Sir Bobby Charlton as Manchester

:08:23. > :08:25.His 249th goal helped defeat Reading 4-0 in the FA Cup.

:08:26. > :08:32.Arriving at the Theatre of Dreams, for Wayne Rooney

:08:33. > :08:37.This is the stage on which he's been a leading man

:08:38. > :08:41.Amongst the audience for this special performance,

:08:42. > :08:45.the man whose goal-scoring record he was now chasing.

:08:46. > :08:49.Rooney just one goal away from that, and no one would have to wait long.

:08:50. > :08:53.COMMENTATOR: It's in, Wayne Rooney equals the all-time goal-scoring

:08:54. > :08:57.record of Sir Bobby Charlton for Manchester United.

:08:58. > :09:00.In off his knee, but in all the same, and that's

:09:01. > :09:01.what the history books will now show.

:09:02. > :09:04.Record equalling goal-scorer, but Rooney's role goes

:09:05. > :09:11.His pass playing in Anthony Martial for United's second.

:09:12. > :09:13.Such was their dominance, the lead could, perhaps should,

:09:14. > :09:19.But whilst Rooney couldn't quite add another, Marcus Rashford could.

:09:20. > :09:22.His captain the first to congratulate him.

:09:23. > :09:24.For the Cup holders, this was very comfortable.

:09:25. > :09:27.Rashford's second - United's fourth - couldn't

:09:28. > :09:31.A landslide win for a landmark occasion.

:09:32. > :09:34.To be up there in terms of goals with Sir Bobby,

:09:35. > :09:38.Hopefully I'll be out there on my own soon,

:09:39. > :09:48.For such a player that surely won't take long.

:09:49. > :09:54.There's more throughout the evening on the BBC News Channel.

:09:55. > :09:57.I'll be back with the team for the late news at 10:10pm.

:09:58. > :09:58.Now on BBC One it's time for the news where you are.
