:00:30. > :00:32.Mr Trump signed his first executive order forcing government offices

:00:33. > :00:36.to minimise the cost of the reforms until they can be overturned.

:00:37. > :00:39.The White House also signalled his intention to remove

:00:40. > :00:40.what he called "harmful and unnecessary" climate

:00:41. > :00:50.And now, the president and First Lady of the United States

:00:51. > :00:57.Never has a song been more

:00:58. > :01:04.Donald Trump got here by doing things very differently,

:01:05. > :01:08.a trait he shows no sign of losing as commander-in-chief.

:01:09. > :01:16.Should I keep the Twitter going or not?

:01:17. > :01:30.He beamed as he arrived at galas across Washington,

:01:31. > :01:32.clasping the hand of his wife and First Lady.

:01:33. > :01:34.Inaugural balls are part of the choreography

:01:35. > :01:39.And Mr Trump invited supporters from across the country.

:01:40. > :01:50.We began this journey, and they said we - we and me -

:01:51. > :01:53.we didn't have a chance, but we knew we were going to win.

:01:54. > :02:08.that he had already made his first executive move...

:02:09. > :02:10.This is an executive order minimising the economic burden of

:02:11. > :02:13.the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

:02:14. > :02:17.will help repeal Obamacare, his predecessor's signature

:02:18. > :02:22.Across the country, gatherings of a more hostile nature

:02:23. > :02:32.In Washington, over 200 people were arrested

:02:33. > :02:39.after a handful of small anti-Trump rallies turned violent.

:02:40. > :02:42.In Chicago, hundreds peacefully voiced their concerns

:02:43. > :02:45.at Donald Trump's agenda, and in Seattle, they marched

:02:46. > :02:53.Further demonstrations are planned over the weekend.

:02:54. > :02:56.But the new president will shrug off this criticism,

:02:57. > :03:02.Surrounded by family and friends, he is taking a moment to enjoy this

:03:03. > :03:04.particular piece of pageantry before the real work begins.

:03:05. > :03:22.Our correspondent Barbara Plett Usher is in Washington for us.

:03:23. > :03:31.Barbara, what has the president got on his agenda in his first full day

:03:32. > :03:35.in office? He will probably be watching this, to some degree. We

:03:36. > :03:39.are expecting tens, possibly hundreds of thousands of people to

:03:40. > :03:42.march here in Washington and around the country. These other people were

:03:43. > :03:46.afraid of what a Trump administering might bring. They are demanding that

:03:47. > :03:51.he protect minorities and women's writes. Mr Trump is getting off to

:03:52. > :03:54.his first day, attending a national prayer breakfast at the Washington

:03:55. > :04:02.National Cathedral, the last part of this official transition. He is also

:04:03. > :04:05.expected to visit the CIA headquarters. You will remember he

:04:06. > :04:11.was sharply critical of them and other agencies over Russian

:04:12. > :04:13.interference in the elections. It seems he will mend some fences

:04:14. > :04:14.there. As we've heard, tens of thousands

:04:15. > :04:17.are expected to join the rally It'll be one of nearly 700

:04:18. > :04:20.demonstrations globally organised Women of the world, unite!

:04:21. > :04:24.Women of the world, unite! In Australia, 3000 people marched

:04:25. > :04:28.to the US consulate in Sydney. Organisers said they wanted

:04:29. > :04:30.to present a united voice Our correspondent Sian Grezeszcyk

:04:31. > :04:48.is in Central London, What is the atmosphere there like?

:04:49. > :04:51.Well, I have just come from the US embassy over in Grosvenor Square,

:04:52. > :04:57.which is where London's March got underway within the last half an

:04:58. > :05:03.hour. A very defiant, calm atmosphere with the marchers who

:05:04. > :05:09.started... They are heading this way to Trafalgar Square, where a rally

:05:10. > :05:14.will be held at 2pm. The organisers say that they want the Trump

:05:15. > :05:18.presidency to hear loud and clear and to ensure that women's rights

:05:19. > :05:22.are protected. That is why they have joined here in solidarity. Speaking

:05:23. > :05:26.to many people in the crowd, they say it is not just about sending a

:05:27. > :05:29.message to the White House. They say it is also about highlighting

:05:30. > :05:34.women's writes in general as well. They are expected to arrive here

:05:35. > :05:38.within the next hour or so. Of course, this is one of more than 600

:05:39. > :05:40.marchers taking place across the world. Thank you very much.

:05:41. > :05:43.An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering

:05:44. > :05:53.The body of 16-year-old Leonne Weeks was discovered on a path

:05:54. > :05:57.She'd been stabbed a number of times.

:05:58. > :06:00.Five people are known to have died in the Italian avalanche last week.

:06:01. > :06:02.It's thought around 15 people are still unaccounted for.

:06:03. > :06:05.Nine people, including four children, have so far been pulled

:06:06. > :06:07.alive from the rubble of the Rigopiano hotel

:06:08. > :06:16.From the ruins of the Rigopiano Hotel, in the last moments of light,

:06:17. > :06:20.rescuers pulled a six-year-old girl to safety.

:06:21. > :06:23.She was cold but apparently uninjured.

:06:24. > :06:25.Relief workers then carried away a boy who'd been

:06:26. > :06:31.For 48 hours, these children and two others had

:06:32. > :06:35.managed to survive underneath concrete walls.

:06:36. > :06:37.After these pictures were filmed, rescuers made their way

:06:38. > :06:43.to four more survivors - two men and two women.

:06:44. > :06:46.The rescued hotel guests have been flown to hospital in the

:06:47. > :06:50.Doctors say that they are cold and dehydrated

:06:51. > :06:52.The survivors' family members can now

:06:53. > :06:59.TRANSLATION: Can't you see it from my face?

:07:00. > :07:10.But other waiting relatives have no such relief.

:07:11. > :07:20.TRANSLATION: You need to speak to these ministers here.

:07:21. > :07:23.You need to ask them why they didn't go get the

:07:24. > :07:24.people out the day before the tragedy.

:07:25. > :07:30.Italy's rescue services promise to continue their rescue

:07:31. > :07:35.How many more people might be trapped alive

:07:36. > :07:53.With the sport, here's Mike Bushell at the BBC Sport Centre.

:07:54. > :07:59.Johanna Konta's Australian Open challenge is gathering serious

:08:00. > :08:02.momentum after she won her eighth match in a row, to

:08:03. > :08:06.If she can get through her next match, she would potentially face

:08:07. > :08:08.Serena Williams in the quarter-finals.

:08:09. > :08:11.Konta's been in fantastic form this year, winning a title in Sydney

:08:12. > :08:13.in the build up to the big Grand Slam in Melbourne,

:08:14. > :08:18.and Wozniacki simply had no answer to Britain's number one.

:08:19. > :08:20.Wozniacki, seeded 17, only managed to win four

:08:21. > :08:24.games, as Konta cruised to an eighth straight victory.

:08:25. > :08:33.She'll now play Ekaterina Makarova in the fourth round.

:08:34. > :08:39.Things got simplified for me today, and I enjoyed trying to execute the

:08:40. > :08:43.plan. I really enjoy being out there. It was a really nice

:08:44. > :08:44.atmosphere on court today. There was a lot of people. A lot of support,

:08:45. > :08:48.so I enjoyed the whole thing. It's a busy day of football with

:08:49. > :08:51.seven matches in the Premier League. Spurs and Liverpool can narrow

:08:52. > :08:54.the gap on leaders Chelsea. Liverpool have had the better

:08:55. > :09:01.of the play so far, The Swans are in a battle

:09:02. > :09:06.for Premier League survival. There are 14 matches

:09:07. > :09:17.in the fourth round It's currently goalless at Ibrox,

:09:18. > :09:21.Lee Wallace with the best Last week, seven sports began

:09:22. > :09:25.an appeals process against UK Sport's decision not to provide

:09:26. > :09:27.funding for the Tokyo 2020 Games. Sarah Davies is one of the leading

:09:28. > :09:32.GB women and knows the effects a funding axe can have,

:09:33. > :09:35.with her Olympian boyfriend suffering the same fate

:09:36. > :09:48.after London 2012. Beneath the hair is Sarah Davies, a

:09:49. > :09:54.weightlifter on the rise in a sport that is under threat. I was in the

:09:55. > :09:56.gym when I got the phone call from our performance director. I was

:09:57. > :10:01.struggling through the end of my session and I managed to get an

:10:02. > :10:05.extra ten repetitions out of what I was doing through upset, anger. It

:10:06. > :10:10.will have a massive effect. Sarah is one half of Great Britain's power

:10:11. > :10:16.couple, alongside her partner, Jack Oliver. COMMENTATOR: Jack Oliver,

:10:17. > :10:20.brilliant stuff there. The men's team lost their funding three years

:10:21. > :10:25.ago. They are always saying, do you get physio? No. Even though you

:10:26. > :10:30.might be the best in the country, competing on the world stage, you

:10:31. > :10:34.don't get a penny. Sarah is now a full-time athlete, but if funding is

:10:35. > :10:38.cut, that will affect our chances of becoming the first British woman to

:10:39. > :10:43.win an Olympic weightlifting medal. It will be tricky to see where the

:10:44. > :10:47.income comes from. I qualified as a PE teacher, but I am not teaching,

:10:48. > :10:53.because it affects my training. I am a little bit in limbo. Being

:10:54. > :10:57.unpredictable doesn't faze Sarah. When she is not in the gym, she

:10:58. > :11:05.competes for a different type of Crown - in beauty pageants. She won

:11:06. > :11:09.miss Leeds in 2012. I always get, oh, you don't look like a

:11:10. > :11:17.weightlifter, so it is good to break those stereotypes and get a positive

:11:18. > :11:21.body image into pageants. They are hoping for a positive result in the

:11:22. > :11:25.appeal against the cuts for 2020. What they have achieved in the last

:11:26. > :11:29.few years has been phenomenal. Unfortunately, I'm not holding out

:11:30. > :11:32.much hope, so it is a case of looking for a job and potentially

:11:33. > :11:38.going back to working full-time as a teacher again. They have an anxious

:11:39. > :11:45.wait before UK sport announces its decision next month.

:11:46. > :11:47.Let me update you on the football. With 40 minutes gone, at Ibrox and

:11:48. > :12:15.Anfield, it is still goalless. Hello. Temperatures fell as low as

:12:16. > :12:17.minus eight Celsius last night, and this afternoon, with cloud or

:12:18. > :12:18.sunshine, most of us are in
