:01:24. > :01:28.threatens to thwart his nuclear ambitions, it also sends a message
:01:29. > :01:33.to the outside world that this country's military with its nuclear
:01:34. > :01:37.tests and missile launches is vital for its survival
:01:38. > :01:42.and military analysts will, of course, be pouring over these
:01:43. > :01:47.pictures for evidence of the latest state of technological advancement
:01:48. > :01:53.There is that speculation that it maybe preparing for another
:01:54. > :01:59.I think it's probably unlikely that we'll see a test today,
:02:00. > :02:03.but Kim Jong-un is making it absolutely clear that he is not
:02:04. > :02:08.prepared to negotiate away his nuclear weapons whilst
:02:09. > :02:12.being threatened and challenged by the United States and experts
:02:13. > :02:16.believe that with missiles, with weaponry like this,
:02:17. > :02:20.they are just a few small steps away from having a real deliverable
:02:21. > :02:25.nuclear arsenal and, of course, once they reach that stage,
:02:26. > :02:29.it's a game changer in terms of the regional security situation
:02:30. > :02:35.and the global international diplomatic calculation
:02:36. > :02:43.about what can be done about North Korea's military ambitions.
:02:44. > :02:47.It changes things for good and the young man sitting up
:02:48. > :02:49.there in those stands has learned that lesson from his grandfather

:03:27. > :03:32.The piece about the Everton footballer Ross Barkley,
:03:33. > :03:37.whose grandfather was born in Nigeria, compared him
:03:38. > :03:40.to a gorilla, and said the only other people in Liverpool earning
:03:41. > :03:45.as much money as Barkley were drug dealers.
:03:46. > :04:00.Knowing full well Ross' heritage and his ancestry in terms of his
:04:01. > :04:04.grandad, it was a despicable comment.
:04:05. > :04:07.So now, MacKenzie and the newspaper must wait to see if the police
:04:08. > :04:19.In a statement, The Sun's publisher, News UK, said:
:04:20. > :04:22.Mr MacKenzie said it was "beyond parody" to describe
:04:23. > :04:29.But if the newspaper, which he edited for many years,
:04:30. > :04:31.now admits the article was offensive, why did it
:04:32. > :04:43.I would have thought that at The Sun, they knew enough to make
:04:44. > :04:45.sure that MacKenzie didn't refer to Liverpool.
:04:46. > :04:48.Especially on the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.
:04:49. > :04:52.So it was a gross editorial oversight.
