:07:27. > :07:35.look at it is, no one really knows what it is. So we get to do whatever
:07:36. > :07:38.we want. This is a robotic hand. Chris is manipulating that robotic
:07:39. > :07:45.hand but he's actually using this device here, which is listening to
:07:46. > :07:49.him flexing his muscles. Yes, actually at listening to him. If

:07:54. > :07:59.own, that hand could replace his hand. You see how it's mimicking the
:08:00. > :08:02.movements of his other hand. We have a robotic arm picking up and
:08:03. > :08:05.dropping small stress balls. I dropped one of the table in the
:08:06. > :08:15.dress rehearsal but hopefully that will go fine. We've been working a
:08:16. > :08:21.lot with people missing limbs. Imagine if he was operating a robot
:08:22. > :08:24.in space. He can move his arm, have the fingers move and perform
:08:25. > :08:31.delicate operations. The US Navy is looking at this to help people
:08:32. > :08:35.disarm bombs. We've looked at technology that allows you to
:08:36. > :08:38.control brings through electromagnetic impulses, but you
:08:39. > :08:44.say this is listening, how does that work? If you want a quick example,

:15:05. > :15:09.like. Whenever we take a picture, you're taking the 3-D world and
:15:10. > :15:13.compressing it into 2-D and distorting it and losing

:15:39. > :15:43.astronauts further than they've ever been before. For them to do that,

:16:47. > :16:49.astronauts will be able to see us but there will also be something in

:16:58. > :17:03.stage? This is the March 2020 Rover. It's not been built yet. It's only
:17:04. > :17:07.in the design stage. They can see you but they can see this Rover in
:17:08. > :17:12.the way. You can see them, you can't see anything so they look like a
:17:13. > :17:18.couple of loons. Who would use this? Right now we are using it on many of
:17:19. > :17:23.our missions, as spacecraft designers, our mechanical engineers
