:00:55. > :01:11.Nadia Murad, welcome to HARDtalk. Thank you. Before Islamic State

:01:12. > :01:13.militants came to your village 18 months ago, can you give us a sense

:01:14. > :01:52.of what your life was like? Can you tell us what happened when

:01:53. > :04:16.the Islamic State militants came to your village?

:04:17. > :04:20.So, you have a large family, how many of your brothers did they

:04:21. > :04:42.take? How did you know? Were you aware of

:04:43. > :05:21.what was happening? OK. So 700 men disappeared,

:05:22. > :06:08.basically. They killed your mother as well, I think.

:06:09. > :06:15.Can you tell us what happened when they took you and the other women?

:06:16. > :06:58.Where did they take you? What did they do to you?

:06:59. > :07:48.And then when you've got to Mosul, what happened to you then? -- you.

:07:49. > :09:10.So, you went with the man that you thought might be easier for you, a

:09:11. > :10:24.smaller man, than the big man. And what did he do?

:10:25. > :10:32.You say your nieces were also there. Hougang were some of the girls

:10:33. > :10:52.there? -- How young. You were held for three months. In

:10:53. > :10:56.that time, did you have conversations or any normal

:10:57. > :11:34.conversations with these people who were holding new? -- you.

:11:35. > :11:42.Did any of the Islamic State man or women show you any compassion? --

:11:43. > :13:11.men. You said that they told you to

:13:12. > :13:28.convert to Islam. Did you think about that?

:13:29. > :13:40.What? They would force you to pray, to behave like a Muslim, rather than

:13:41. > :15:30.a Yazidi? How did you manage to escape?

:15:31. > :15:37.And that allowed you to escape and get out?

:15:38. > :15:45.There are many women who have been held who killed themselves out of

:15:46. > :16:44.desperation. Was it something that at the time you thought?

:16:45. > :16:49.But I wonder that you didn't question your faith, you didn't

:16:50. > :17:43.wonder given what happened to you whether there was a God.

:17:44. > :17:51.And we should explain that the UCD faith, there are only a few thousand

:17:52. > :18:22.people left in the world who practice -- Yazidi.

:18:23. > :18:29.And when you think about the men who raped you in the time you were being

:18:30. > :18:36.held, what do you want to happen to them?

:18:37. > :18:44.You would like to see them prosecuted in an international

:18:45. > :18:49.court? Do you also want to see soldiers, ground troops going in

:18:50. > :20:20.from Western countries to take on Islamic State?

:20:21. > :20:25.There are young people all over the world who are attracted by what

:20:26. > :20:27.so-called Islamic State are doing and want to go fight for them. What

:20:28. > :21:38.do you say to them? You have been all over the world

:21:39. > :21:41.with your campaign to get the world to notice what is going on. You have

:21:42. > :22:44.spoken at the United Nations. What difference is it making?

:22:45. > :22:54.Do you have any hope they will do something, they will be able to stop
