0:00:28 > 0:00:34Home Secretary, Amber Rudd. Britain first is an extremist organisation

0:00:34 > 0:00:38which seeks to divide communities through their use of hateful

0:00:38 > 0:00:42narratives which spread lies and stoke tensions. The deputy leader of

0:00:42 > 0:00:45Britain first is subject to a pending criminal trial accused of

0:00:45 > 0:00:57religiously aggravated... British people overwhelmingly reject the

0:00:57 > 0:01:00prejudiced rhetoric of the far right which is the antithesis of the

0:01:00 > 0:01:05values that this country represents, decency, tolerance, respect. We will

0:01:05 > 0:01:11stand with them in doing so. This is why we launched our counter

0:01:11 > 0:01:15extremism strategy in 2015 and why we launched the hate crime action

0:01:15 > 0:01:23plan just last year. So this House should be clear that this Government

0:01:23 > 0:01:27will not tolerate any groups which spread hate by demonising those of

0:01:27 > 0:01:32other faiths or read the beasties or he deliberately create tensions in

0:01:32 > 0:01:39communities. We have been clear that President Donald Trump was wrong to

0:01:39 > 0:01:46re-tweet posts from Britain first. When we look at the wider picture,

0:01:46 > 0:01:52the relationship between the UK and America, I know how valuable the

0:01:52 > 0:01:56prejudice between our two nations and as Home Secretary, I can tell

0:01:56 > 0:02:00the House that the importance of the relationship between our countries,

0:02:00 > 0:02:05the unparalleled sharing of intelligence between our countries

0:02:05 > 0:02:14is vital. It has undoubtedly saved British lives. That is the bigger

0:02:14 > 0:02:20picture here and I would urge people to remember that.Stephen Docherty.

0:02:20 > 0:02:25I thank the Home Secretary for her answer. You will recall that the

0:02:25 > 0:02:33last time I raised this with you, it was to state that after his

0:02:33 > 0:02:37behaviour, President Trump should not be afforded the opportunity to

0:02:37 > 0:02:43address this and the Other House. I appreciate those words and the

0:02:43 > 0:02:48extraordinary events we have seen in the last 48 hours show why this

0:02:48 > 0:02:54House was right to make the call about him coming here and why the

0:02:54 > 0:02:57premature offer of a state visit should not now go ahead. Let me be

0:02:57 > 0:03:02clear. I condemn the original content of what was shared as a

0:03:02 > 0:03:07borrowed and anybody who shares information such as that online,

0:03:07 > 0:03:12whether that be those pretending to act in the name of Islam or

0:03:12 > 0:03:17anti-Semites should rightly be exposed and dealt with. But let's be

0:03:17 > 0:03:21be clear. This is the president of the United States sharing with

0:03:21 > 0:03:23millions inflammatory and divisive comments deliberately posted to

0:03:23 > 0:03:32spread hatred by a convicted criminal who is facing further

0:03:32 > 0:03:33challenges who represents the vile fascist organisations seeking to

0:03:33 > 0:03:42spread hatred online. By sharing it, he is either a racist, incompetent,

0:03:42 > 0:03:45I'm thinking or all three. Can the Home Secretary please explain what

0:03:45 > 0:03:49the Government is doing to crack down on the activities of Britain

0:03:49 > 0:03:55first and other far right organisations including online?
