:04:09. > :04:14.is totally unsuitable. You have got a dress that is OK but does not fit
:04:14. > :04:18.properly or is the wrong colour or the zip is broken. Then you have a
:04:18. > :04:21.large proportion of dresses they just do not turn up at all.
:04:21. > :04:26.Page was so cross she voiced her frustrations on Facebook. She set
:04:26. > :04:32.up a support group when it became apparent it was a big problem.
:04:32. > :04:39.Initially, I thought it would be a small group. We have been running
:04:39. > :04:45.for under six months and we are under the 500 mark. That is not
:04:45. > :04:52.including people who have privately message me. Who are Edresses and
:04:52. > :05:00.where are they based? They have several address -- they have
:05:00. > :05:03.several addresses and all appear in the UK. They look like they are UK-
:05:04. > :05:08.based. You assume they have somewhere in the UK you can contact.

:05:13. > :05:18.Buying from China, like from any country, is fine if you choose
:05:18. > :05:25.reputable factories. Like the ones that produce the stresses. Ian

:05:32. > :05:36.dresses. They will take a picture from a website of any reputable
:05:36. > :05:40.manufacturer and they will put it on their website, they will
:05:40. > :05:44.advertise it as a product they can produce. They have no patterns, no
:05:45. > :05:51.knowledge of the dress itself. One place that was visited, it was
:05:52. > :05:57.attached to a chicken farm. When we were there, there was a lady who
:05:57. > :06:02.had placed an order and it has printed a picture of and tried to
:06:02. > :06:08.copy it. Dresses made from a picture probably will not be a
:06:08. > :06:12.great fit. Then it Mandy tried to get her money back. When she
:06:12. > :06:16.contacted Edresses by e-mail, all she got was months of delaying
:06:16. > :06:23.tactics. They kept coming back with these dancers, please rest assured
:06:23. > :06:29.we are dealing with your complaint -- these answers. Then it went on
:06:29. > :06:35.longer. There were more e-mails. They then said it would be in my it
:06:35. > :06:40.bank within 72 hours. No, no money arrived. My Andy had paid using
:06:40. > :06:45.PayPal. After 45 days, option for getting her money back from them
:06:45. > :06:50.had expired. Apart from the Mail, there was no other way of
:06:50. > :06:56.contacting Edresses. -- e-mail. Every number of customers were
:06:56. > :07:00.given was a false trail. Both addresses are bogus on the website.
:07:00. > :07:04.When they came to check out the returns address, they were led to
:07:04. > :07:09.this industrial estate. It is a distribution centre which deals in
:07:09. > :07:13.electrical goods and had nothing to do with Edresses. The actual
:07:13. > :07:18.company based here, which does have Chinese connections, was not happy
:07:18. > :07:23.parcels were being sent to their dress and contacted Trading
:07:23. > :07:27.Standards in Portsmouth. We went to see them, we had a look at the
:07:27. > :07:30.goods that had been returned and it was quite clear they were being
:07:31. > :07:36.sent back from dissatisfied consumers who were unhappy about
:07:36. > :07:40.the quality of the garments they had bought. I have been a Trading
:07:40. > :07:44.Standards officers for many years and this is the first time we have
:07:44. > :07:51.had a situation like this with an address of being hijacked for use
:07:51. > :07:58.in this way. A look at the quality. They are dreadful. We looked at
:07:58. > :08:08.some of the items that had been sent back. Look at that. That is
:08:08. > :08:08.
