:00:20. > :00:28.Sunday Politics invites a shock jock onto the programme and has problems

:00:28. > :00:38.shutting him up. We have an idiot on the programme today! You will not

:00:38. > :00:38.

:00:39. > :00:47.stop the Republic! And if robotic cameras are taking over, are they

:00:48. > :00:53.really meant to appear in shot like this? ! Last week, Watford hosted

:00:53. > :00:59.the Bilderberg Group, a gathering of influential people from the world of

:00:59. > :01:03.politics and is missed. This is an organisation that does not court

:01:03. > :01:13.publicity or host news conferences. Media coverage is minimal and that

:01:13. > :01:24.

:01:24. > :01:32.the conference was the Sunday Politics which invited on an

:01:32. > :01:38.American radio host Alex Jones. His discussion of the group with David

:01:38. > :01:43.Aronowitz provided a lively encounter. The BBC got the documents

:01:43. > :01:51.decades ago that they helped found the Europa which was the Nazi German

:01:51. > :01:56.plan to take over countries economic leave. Let him speak.I saw one of

:01:56. > :02:04.your ministers say this. I am here to testify your head was not cut

:02:04. > :02:12.off. The problem is conspiracy theories are believed. Mac I am here

:02:12. > :02:17.to warn people. You keep telling me to shut up. We have people

:02:17. > :02:20.disappearing, arrest the public safety, life in prison. You are the

:02:20. > :02:28.worst person I have ever interviewed! It is off with their

:02:28. > :02:36.heads! You are watching the BBC Sundays. We have an idiot on the

:02:36. > :02:41.programme. Do not stop! You will not stop the Republic! The interview

:02:41. > :02:51.went viral with the programmes presenter and editor pointing people

:02:51. > :03:02.

:03:02. > :03:12.towards it on Twitter. Many watched presenter were to blame, Gordon

:03:12. > :03:51.

:03:51. > :03:55.Andrew Neil is with me. A lot of viewers said wide to invite this man

:03:55. > :04:01.on, his reputation is known, you knew he would behave this way. He

:04:01. > :04:06.regards himself as a leading expert on the Bilderberg Group. He was

:04:06. > :04:10.therefore the meeting during she and he has many people who follow him

:04:10. > :04:15.and he says he knows what he's talking about. We wanted him to put

:04:15. > :04:19.his case. In the terms of a live programme, given he had also gone

:04:19. > :04:24.off the rails on another show, it looked like it was six minutes of

:04:24. > :04:32.great TV, people would watch it on YouTube again but there was no

:04:32. > :04:36.revelations. No one I have interviewed, he is not the only one,

:04:36. > :04:40.they have lots of conspiracy theories, they may or may not be

:04:40. > :04:45.true but they have not presented the evidence. He is regarded by many who

:04:45. > :04:49.believe it is a conspiracy to be the spokesperson. I knew it would be

:04:50. > :04:57.hard to make sure David Aronowitz who was also on the programme would

:04:57. > :05:01.get a fair hearing. I thought my job as a presenter was to make sure both

:05:01. > :05:07.sides had a fair say. That proved to be not only to difficult to succeed

:05:07. > :05:12.because he kept on shouting David down but I had not anticipated he

:05:12. > :05:18.would turn on me as well. And that took us into interesting uncharted

:05:18. > :05:28.territory. I watched it and both you and David are knowing, David starts

:05:28. > :05:29.

:05:29. > :05:32.of quite calm, you join in. You say is it a conspiracy? And then you

:05:33. > :05:36.have to call him an idiot and tell him to shut up. Some complaints were

:05:36. > :05:43.specifically about the fact you use that language which looks like

:05:43. > :05:47.sneering. The interview began with legitimate questions, could you

:05:47. > :05:51.explain why it is a conspiracy and what has it done question mark we

:05:51. > :05:56.continued in that vein but got nowhere. He went off a rant which

:05:56. > :06:01.had nothing to do with the Bilderberg Group. He ranted at David

:06:01. > :06:05.and ranted over me. I tried to link to the programme. I was quite

:06:05. > :06:10.worried it would turn very very nasty. He was turning very hostile

:06:10. > :06:19.and aggressive and so I kept smiling throughout and tried to make a joke

:06:19. > :06:24.of it. The gestures... He was off-camera and his microphone was

:06:24. > :06:30.shut off but he was shouting so much they picked it up on my microphone.

:06:30. > :06:35.I thought the best way to handle it was to make light of it.

:06:35. > :06:40.gestures offended many people. say they offended people, I'm sure

:06:40. > :06:43.they offended some and some people like to be offended. I have never

:06:43. > :06:50.had a reaction to anything I have broadcast in my life like this

:06:50. > :06:57.positive reaction. You do not think it was a problem? It was an attempt

:06:57. > :07:01.to keep it light and not let it go heavy. Charlie Skelton wrote a piece

:07:01. > :07:06.saying before the show I told the producers what would happen, this is

:07:06. > :07:10.sport, not journalism. He thinks it was an attack on measured thinking.

:07:10. > :07:16.All programmes have a range of people they think of inviting on and

:07:16. > :07:22.they decide. Once were not can sometimes be disgruntled and I file

:07:22. > :07:26.him under that. And there is nothing in hindsight you would change?

:07:26. > :07:30.not something I would like to do every week and I would not like to

:07:30. > :07:36.see Mr Janes in a hurry but every now and again programmes take risks.

:07:36. > :07:40.You take risks and judging by the people who watched it, it was

:07:40. > :07:44.different, it was interesting and it shows you what can happen in a

:07:44. > :07:49.culture where people shout at each other and so much of American media

:07:49. > :07:54.now is people shouting at each other and if you want a lesson of a road

:07:54. > :08:00.we should not be going down, that is a good six minutes to watch. Andrew

:08:00. > :08:08.Neil, thank you. Please tell us your thoughts about that interview or

:08:08. > :08:12.anything on BBC News. Details are coming up later. Before that, the

:08:12. > :08:16.announcement Prince Philip was going into hospital for an operation was

:08:16. > :08:26.followed on Saturday by News Nelson Mandela had also been admitted to

:08:26. > :08:47.

:08:47. > :08:50.hospital. What followed prompted devastation in parts of Germany and

:08:50. > :09:00.Hungary and some viewers feel they have not been adequately represented

:09:00. > :09:12.

:09:12. > :09:18.on BBC News. Colin Thomas is one of on the news at six, a report on

:09:18. > :09:22.Wednesday about Heathrow airport scheduling time to resurface the

:09:22. > :09:27.runways and Thursdays peace which fitted cameras onto 50 cats to find

:09:27. > :09:34.out what they get up to. Following the latter, Sophie Raworth told

:09:34. > :09:44.viewers... If you want to see more about cats, watch the Horizon

:09:44. > :10:10.

:10:10. > :10:15.programme on BBC Two. Mark sent us the new look BBC News moved into

:10:15. > :10:20.central London in March and it's proved controversial. Notably, the

:10:20. > :10:25.newsroom is visible behind the presenters. This can lead to also of

:10:25. > :10:30.distractions, sometimes royal ones in the background. One viewer has

:10:30. > :10:36.called ass about another aspect of the new studio. I have noticed every

:10:36. > :10:46.time the new starts you have no cameraman behind the cameras. Do you

:10:46. > :10:50.use robotic cameras? Well, we reassure Robert that as well as

:10:50. > :10:56.robotic cameras, including this one, there are real human cameramen and

:10:56. > :11:01.women at work. As for the robot cameras, Chris Eakin found out they

:11:01. > :11:06.do not always do what they are told. In a moment, we will be joined by
