:00:14. > :00:20.Thank you for joining me, we alive in the BBC newsroom, let's have a

:00:21. > :00:24.look at some of the main stories. The two-year mark since 276

:00:25. > :00:29.schoolgirls in Nigeria were kidnapped by Haram. Knew the deal

:00:30. > :00:35.has emerged of what seems to be some of them in December but there seems

:00:36. > :00:38.to be little progress towards getting the girls home. We will be

:00:39. > :00:43.talking in a moment about the latest and the race to become US president.

:00:44. > :00:50.Bernie Sanders has held a huge rally in New York, primary is next week.

:00:51. > :00:56.The BBC pop-up team is in India this is the latest report. The experience

:00:57. > :01:01.of being an African living in India. And it is Klopp's new team against

:01:02. > :01:24.his old team. We will get into that. The political cycle in America is

:01:25. > :01:28.focused on New York. The Democratic candidates are going to be going on

:01:29. > :01:33.US network television later on to debate with each other. Hillary

:01:34. > :01:37.Clinton is favourite to wind New York state. Bernie Sanders is

:01:38. > :01:45.drawing big clouds and if you're interested in US politics I can

:01:46. > :01:54.recommend twitter feed. We can show you some pictures. By any standards,

:01:55. > :01:57.this was a big rally. The organisers say 27,000 people turned out to

:01:58. > :02:01.listen to Bernie Sanders and he called it the most important event

:02:02. > :02:09.yet of his campaign. Let's get the analysis. Live from the world News

:02:10. > :02:13.America studio in Washington, DC. Bernie Sanders is quite rightly

:02:14. > :02:19.proud of a torn out like that but not much evidence it will translate

:02:20. > :02:26.into a wind in New York. That is a heck of a lot of people, 20 7000.

:02:27. > :02:31.Barack Obama gave a valley in exactly the same spot back in 2007

:02:32. > :02:37.and he got 3000 people less than Bernie Sanders last night. The

:02:38. > :02:42.question is, what happens? He has won seven of the last primary is and

:02:43. > :02:50.he is winning thousands of people every day. He cannot actually

:02:51. > :02:53.translate into delegates and if you cannot translate into delegates then

:02:54. > :02:59.effectively he will never be the nominee and I think he realises

:03:00. > :03:03.that. If he doesn't wind New York and the primary is next week, the

:03:04. > :03:09.race is really over for him and at some point, Democrats are saying he

:03:10. > :03:15.will have to say he is doing the Democrats more harm than good. But

:03:16. > :03:18.if you stand up on a stage in front of 27,000 people in the middle of

:03:19. > :03:23.New York City it is hard not to believe you have a right to be

:03:24. > :03:28.there. I have observed some candidates staying in the race is

:03:29. > :03:33.way beyond the time they believe they can wind because they are

:03:34. > :03:37.trying to 11 age a possession for themselves are policy shift from the

:03:38. > :03:42.eventual winner. Is that what he is doing? He has already done it and

:03:43. > :03:46.taken Hillary Clinton to the left of where she was going to be. She is

:03:47. > :03:50.talking about issues like any quality and banks that are too big

:03:51. > :03:57.to fail, things you might not have mentioned. Financial reform. The

:03:58. > :04:02.longer he stays in this race, the longer his supporters will be able

:04:03. > :04:08.to put pressure on Hillary Clinton to adapt her policies to what they

:04:09. > :04:12.believe in. So whilst he may now in his heart of hearts, and he said

:04:13. > :04:16.last night this is going to be a tough campaign, he may well know the

:04:17. > :04:18.numbers don't add up and he will never be the Democratic party

:04:19. > :04:24.nominee barring some extraordinary circumstance. He also knows if he

:04:25. > :04:29.stays in the race he gets his message out and he is part of the

:04:30. > :04:34.equation in that sense. I want to get your thoughts on what Donald

:04:35. > :04:37.Trump has been saying in the last 48 hours, railing against the system he

:04:38. > :04:42.has to go through to get the nomination. He rails against a lot

:04:43. > :04:45.of things so on one side there is not a lot to read into these

:04:46. > :04:49.comments but it could be him appearing to be under pressure?

:04:50. > :04:54.Bernie Sanders has said the same thing, the system is rigged. You are

:04:55. > :05:01.fuelling exactly the same thing but at the moment, the race in Colorado,

:05:02. > :05:03.he didn't manage to pick up delegates proportionate to the

:05:04. > :05:08.amount of votes you got and he says the system there is rigged. It

:05:09. > :05:13.doesn't do him any harm to be seen to be in a fight with the Republican

:05:14. > :05:18.party. His supporters love him because he is the antiestablishment

:05:19. > :05:22.campaign. It won't change anything and get his message out, the rules

:05:23. > :05:30.are the rules and were written before Donald Trump and he has two

:05:31. > :05:34.applied by them. This is factually not correct to say it is rigged

:05:35. > :05:38.against him but politically it makes an awful lot of sense to keep

:05:39. > :05:44.positioning himself as the antiestablishment candidates. Thank

:05:45. > :05:50.you. That is coming up on BBC World News Today was of you outside the UK

:05:51. > :05:57.directly after this. We are going to start with the Europa League. It is

:05:58. > :06:00.a very best generates as much interest as the Champions League but

:06:01. > :06:06.you could make the case that is happening this week. We have a game

:06:07. > :06:16.in Prague and probably the pick of them as a Liverpool. This is Klopp

:06:17. > :06:23.in charge of Liverpool playing his old club at Dortmund. It is

:06:24. > :06:28.definitely the pick of the ties and looks like an amazing game. And

:06:29. > :06:33.field is famous for its European nights and this was an absolutely

:06:34. > :06:36.brilliant game. A miserable start for Liverpool against Bush Dortmund.

:06:37. > :06:43.The German side favourites for the trophy and they showed why. They

:06:44. > :06:49.scored after just four minutes and soon after a second, inside ten

:06:50. > :06:58.minutes. Game over new thought, but Liverpool fought back. The score at

:06:59. > :07:12.two but either side, Borussia Dortmund scored. Klopp's old side

:07:13. > :07:20.looked to be going forward at the expense of his current team.

:07:21. > :07:31.Shakhtar Donetsk looked all but through, as do Villarreal. 6-3 up on

:07:32. > :07:35.aggregate. Some interesting semifinals ahead and I am not sure

:07:36. > :07:44.of Liverpool will be there, still 3-2. 15 minutes to go. Thank you, so

:07:45. > :07:47.those of you who want to stick with outside source, you can pull up the

:07:48. > :08:01.life page for that game like I have on my tablet. Also computer or 14.

:08:02. > :08:04.Other Premier League clubs, Newcastle United has lost a

:08:05. > :08:12.discrimination tribunal brought by its former midfielder Gutierrez, you

:08:13. > :08:18.can get the full story on the BBC website. He claims the club dropped

:08:19. > :08:23.him because he had cancer which led to him dropping -- missing a

:08:24. > :08:27.contract extension. The tribunal agreed. We understand the club is

:08:28. > :08:33.disappointed and is consulting its lawyers. We should mention two other

:08:34. > :08:40.claims by the Spanish international were not accepted. He has taken to

:08:41. > :08:49.twitter to get his reaction and is saying the club is always about the

:08:50. > :08:58.funds. Let's turn to a story that I probably don't need to tell you

:08:59. > :09:02.about, Kobe Bryant has retired. He scored 60 points, he has only really

:09:03. > :09:08.done that through his career, the LA Lakers were down and came back to

:09:09. > :09:14.beat Utah Jazz, and he also attempted 50 shots, which is the

:09:15. > :09:21.most by anyone in a single NBA game in the last 30 years, so he was kept

:09:22. > :09:27.busy because his team-mates were giving him the ball the whole time.

:09:28. > :09:31.Here he is. There were a lot of points where I started getting

:09:32. > :09:39.emotional. When I first ran out of the tunnel, I catch myself. I am

:09:40. > :09:44.putting on my jersey saying this is the last time I put on a jersey!

:09:45. > :09:48.Then this is the last time I run down the tunnel. When those moments

:09:49. > :09:54.happened you catch yourself and start getting really emotional. Here

:09:55. > :09:59.is the one thing they don't know about his 20 years. No other player

:10:00. > :10:03.has ever been with the same team for 20 years. He has always been here in

:10:04. > :10:09.Los Angeles and has always played great for us. Like any other

:10:10. > :10:14.virtuoso. It is a pleasure to get to see him as much as I have. And you

:10:15. > :10:19.imagine Jack Nicholson has got some pretty good seats. We are no

:10:20. > :10:23.strangers to drone racing and you know we would have done a couple of

:10:24. > :10:29.stories about it and the sport is getting bigger and it is brilliant

:10:30. > :10:35.to watch. The big news today is that ESPN, one of the world's biggest

:10:36. > :10:39.broadcasters, has decided to screen drone racing starting with the big

:10:40. > :10:40.event in New York in August. We have been to Wembley Stadium in London to

:10:41. > :11:09.be converted! This is how we see what is on the

:11:10. > :11:13.drawing, the little camera in front. You have just flown Othello and

:11:14. > :11:16.Wembley Stadium, what was that like? A great experience, the track was

:11:17. > :11:24.quite long with some technical parts.

:11:25. > :11:31.And you can see that online as well if you want to share with people on

:11:32. > :11:37.BBC sport. As mentioned, we will play you the latest report from BBC

:11:38. > :11:39.pop in India looking at the issue of racism against Africans living in

:11:40. > :11:51.India, that in a few minutes. Delays in accident and emergency

:11:52. > :11:56.departments in England have hit record levels for the second month

:11:57. > :12:03.in a row. Figures released by NHS in England shall 87.1% of patients were

:12:04. > :12:08.released within four hours of arrival, lower than the target set

:12:09. > :12:11.by the Department of Health. It was even lower in major hospitals with

:12:12. > :12:14.around one in five patients had to wait longer than four hours before

:12:15. > :12:20.being discharged. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived in

:12:21. > :12:26.good time for the two-day visit. They met the country's Young King

:12:27. > :12:34.and queen and tried the national sport of archery. -- Bhutan.

:12:35. > :12:39.This is a country that proudly proclaims that there is to be

:12:40. > :12:44.different. It is Bhutan, until recently known as the hermit kingdom

:12:45. > :12:50.of the Himalayas. A small nation strongly influenced by its Buddhist

:12:51. > :12:55.faith, the big thing is happiness. A place with the deference for William

:12:56. > :12:59.and Catherine to visit, but a destination that is hardly a

:13:00. > :13:04.priority when it comes to the world to. The normally have to have a

:13:05. > :13:09.clear purpose so you might ask why, other than to imbibe some happiness

:13:10. > :13:14.and contentment, why have they come to this small country in the

:13:15. > :13:20.Himalayas? Here is the official line? The country has a new king.

:13:21. > :13:26.Two royals of a similar age to bully and Catherine. He is Bhutan's first

:13:27. > :13:32.constitutional as opposed to absolute monarch presiding over a

:13:33. > :13:37.democratic nation that happens to be sandwiched between India and China.

:13:38. > :13:41.It is also a pretty amazing experience for the visitors, of whom

:13:42. > :13:45.there are still not that many. The king and queen Escort of the guests

:13:46. > :13:53.to a Buddhist temple where the lit candles. And here's another part of

:13:54. > :13:59.the experience, archery, which as Kate discovered is not as easy as it

:14:00. > :14:04.looks. Bhutan has some of the best archers

:14:05. > :14:07.in the world, it has their national sport. Not a lot of people know

:14:08. > :14:33.that, or indeed no Bhutan. This is outside source, our lead

:14:34. > :14:38.story, video has emerged of some of these schoolgirls who were abducted

:14:39. > :14:45.in Nigeria two years ago but still there is no progress towards

:14:46. > :14:49.bringing them home. And coming up after outside source, outside of the

:14:50. > :14:53.UK it is a world News America and with the summer are driving the

:14:54. > :14:57.number of people trying to cross the Mediterranean into Europe is set to

:14:58. > :15:01.rise. We have brand-new report from Libya, the start of the journey for

:15:02. > :15:06.many. That report will also play on the

:15:07. > :15:16.news of ten in the UK and it will look at delays to accident and

:15:17. > :15:20.America to departments in England. -- emergency departments. The BBC

:15:21. > :15:23.pop-up team is a small group of journalists that bases itself on one

:15:24. > :15:30.country and responds quickly to stories at is given. In the last few

:15:31. > :15:35.months it has been in the US and Kenny and is in India now. This next

:15:36. > :15:40.report looks at discrimination experienced by some Africans living

:15:41. > :15:46.in India, there are big African communities in the cities of Mumbai

:15:47. > :16:08.and Delhi. So one of the stories we were asked

:16:09. > :16:12.to do was to tell the story of Africans living in India and some of

:16:13. > :16:16.the tough experiences they have. We thought this would be an interesting

:16:17. > :16:21.story and instead of just filming it we went one better and the man who

:16:22. > :16:31.suggested it will help us to make it. India is very exciting. Everyday

:16:32. > :16:35.I go out and see something new. There are lots of Africans now in

:16:36. > :16:41.India doing studies and they are facing a lot of racism. Recently

:16:42. > :16:46.there have been a lot of news stories about Africans being

:16:47. > :16:59.attacked, molested and beaten up. It makes me feel so bad about it. How

:17:00. > :17:06.are you? What are your experiences with Indians? That is not good

:17:07. > :17:14.chemistry between Africans and Indians. We don't normally associate

:17:15. > :17:25.with Indians. Indians don't trust us. It is very common that Indians

:17:26. > :17:30.think all applicants are prostitutes. They ask how much do

:17:31. > :17:40.you want? They ask these kinds of questions. The local people, not

:17:41. > :17:48.all, some are very good. Very open-minded people.

:17:49. > :17:56.Some of the stories you told us were quite disturbing and that largely

:17:57. > :17:58.happens because Indians don't know their own history, that Africans

:17:59. > :18:09.played such a big role in Indian history. Today, a big African

:18:10. > :18:11.community lives in the state of Gujarat and I think it would be good

:18:12. > :18:23.for you to meet them. So after the long drive through the

:18:24. > :18:31.state of Gujarat we are about to meet the community. I am so excited

:18:32. > :18:37.to see Africans here in India. I really want to meet with them and

:18:38. > :19:17.interact with them more. How are you?

:19:18. > :19:28.I just feel like I am in Africa. This feels like an African city. If

:19:29. > :19:33.they go beyond the village, they are stopped and asked where they are

:19:34. > :19:39.from, exactly the same kinds of questions you are facing. How do you

:19:40. > :19:50.solve these problems? How do you tackle them?

:19:51. > :19:57.Do you ever have the feeling that you want to go back to Africa or did

:19:58. > :20:07.you use to want to be in India? He is seeing here is like an Indian,

:20:08. > :20:45.why would he want to leave this place?

:20:46. > :20:52.When I came, I was emotionally charged and almost wanted to cry

:20:53. > :20:59.when I saw all the black Africans. Coming here today has changed my

:21:00. > :21:05.perception of India. It has created a mindset in me that there are

:21:06. > :21:12.people who are ready to see Africans in India. Seeing this society today

:21:13. > :21:19.has given me hope that in the future India will be a less racist society,

:21:20. > :21:25.because this community is a symbol that Africans are also Indians.

:21:26. > :21:32.Now to finish this edition from a lovely report, we have talked a

:21:33. > :21:38.number of times about how against the odds, sales of are rising, but

:21:39. > :21:41.there is a new detail, a great one. The BBC has found that almost half

:21:42. > :21:52.the people in the UK who buy vinyl never listen to it.

:21:53. > :21:54.The classic artwork, the lyrics in the inner sleeve,

:21:55. > :21:58.the feel of the vinyl and the click of a button on a download.

:21:59. > :22:01.Duncan Willis is part of a new generation of record

:22:02. > :22:08.buyers, with sales of LPs being ten times what they were one decade ago.

:22:09. > :22:11.A survey suggests almost half of people who purchase vinyl

:22:12. > :22:18.They listen digitally but still want something to hold.

:22:19. > :22:22.It is so easy to listen to any music now and I think that we are yearning

:22:23. > :22:26.for the times our parents had and go out of our way to buy an album

:22:27. > :22:31.It makes it a more romantic process of owning the album

:22:32. > :22:37.and the piece of music you want to listen to.

:22:38. > :22:42.All around the country, shops are getting prepared for Record Day.

:22:43. > :22:45.People are encouraged to come in and buy vinyl.

:22:46. > :22:52.They're all about owning this but not playing it.

:22:53. > :22:57.I'd buy it for the sound quality and I like the ritualistic thing

:22:58. > :23:03.about putting on a piece of vinyl and sitting back.

:23:04. > :23:09.I don't know why you would buy it if you're not going to play it.

:23:10. > :23:13.Even if they are buying it and listening to it,

:23:14. > :23:16.they have the artwork that comes with it and the thought process that

:23:17. > :23:19.I think it is great and I totally understand.

:23:20. > :23:23.I just go and get it because I think it will look good on my wall.

:23:24. > :23:25.This student is one of those who likes to judge

:23:26. > :23:30.I have vinyls in my room but it is more of a sense

:23:31. > :23:32.about giving me the old-school vibe because I know that's

:23:33. > :23:44.The idea of owning vinyl but never playing is anathema

:23:45. > :23:55.That crackle and the anticipation is great.

:23:56. > :23:58.The drummer for the Smiths and still a proud fan of the LP.

:23:59. > :24:02.With albums you are buying the whole package.

:24:03. > :24:15.Sometimes they tell a story rather than buying a track.

:24:16. > :24:18.All very different from Jordan and the only gaps he is concerned

:24:19. > :24:23.I just found an Amy Winehouse one and she is one of my

:24:24. > :24:35.As mentioned, there's a Europa League quarterfinal second leg

:24:36. > :24:40.playing out at Anfield, Liverpool against Dortmund. You know the game

:24:41. > :24:44.is good when you are following it on a life page and getting nervous.

:24:45. > :24:49.Liverpool have come back from the dead and scored with just a couple

:24:50. > :24:54.of minutes to go. 4-3 on the night nonetheless something miraculous

:24:55. > :24:56.happens they are going through. You will want to see Klopp's celebration

:24:57. > :25:17.at the end of that game! Goodbye. Over the past few days, the

:25:18. > :25:21.temperature has been on the mildest not the warm side particularly

:25:22. > :25:22.across southern parts. 18 Celsius early on in the
